Wishworld, Kyoto

An 11-year-old Japanese boy was going through his notes for his first ever school paper. However, they all turned out to be pretty boring.

Local tea shop gets new shipment of green tea.

Origami class at recreation center gets a new member.

Manager of toy shop hires college graduates.

"This is great," the boy groaned. "I'm going to get kicked out of 'The Kyoto Kids Paper'."

However, two movie crewpeople were passing by talking about a movie plot. "Let see if I got this one more time," said one crewperson. "The climax of the film is at a Jpop group concert, and the bad guys get pummeled by an ancient ninja routine the spy learned as a child."

"That's it," said the other.

Unknown to them, the boy heard what they were saying and reported it to the head reporter.

On the other side of Kyoto, Alesha, Cheryl, Leslie, and Georgia were at a computer museum posing as touring students. "Why are we here again?" Alesha asked.

"Because this is one of the few places in Kyoto that has actual digital phases," Cheryl explained, "since it's mostly a city of what Japan was like in the edo period."

During their visit, they passed by a Les McKeown Memorial wing. The Starlings were astonished by all the memorabilia between the 1970s to 2021. This had Leslie thinking about her Wishling mother. From what her Starling father told her, they were expecting a boy when they were pregnant with her and they decided to name her after the lead singer of her mother's favorite band, the Bay City Rollers.

"If you must know," Cheryl added, "Les did marry a female Japanese restaurant manager later in life, but he was revealed to be bisexual. Back in the 1970s you never spoke about being gay or lesbian, for you might lose your job."

"That's just like the RAES," Alesha replied. "They never know who might be a Starling, especially those cosmic nut jobs I13 and I86."

Then Georgia looked at Leslie and smiled, "If you were named Duncina, after another one of their lead singer Duncan Faure," Georgia laughed, "you would've made The Golden Roar Experience wilder than before."

"Up to an eleven," Leslie giggled.

Starling Academy, Starland

While they were lost in their laughter, their Star-Zaps glew. Sage tried to get a hold of them, but no avail. She was annoyed because of this. So she decided to leave a message.

Hey girls, this is Sage.

I'm sorry to interrupt your Kyoto trip, but a boy Wishling in the area accidentally spoiled the plot for a movie.

If you get this message, find me at the movie set of "Stranger of Remorse."

After that, Sage teleported off to the movie set.

Kyoto Concert Hall

Sage arrived dressed in concert apparel. She figured that if she posed as an extra, she could infiltrate where the boy Wishling was. Walking amongst the crowd, she spotted the same boy that heard about the spy movie plot spoiler. "That must be Satoru," she guessed.

As she was moving closer to the little boy, she saw two familiar faces in the crowd. They were Agents I13 and I86 of the RAES. "I know they do Europe," Sage recalled quietly, "but those two agents have gone too far."

In serious tone, Agents I13 and I186 were discussing an important issue with the director. "We're putting the concert hall on lockdown soon," I13 explained, "for two Starlings are in the vicnity of the area."

"Two Starlings?" Sage asked as she spots Harlow practicing his magician skills in the sound booth. "Looks like Harlow doesn't want to turn Starland into a bouncy castle."

"Hold it, I13," I86 interupted. "I've detected a third Starling here."

"That's right, ladies," hissed a sinister voice.

The lights went out. Everyone but Sage started to panic. From behind the director and the two agents, a mysterious kabuki performer appeared. They had a kimono with snakes and water waves, and a kabuki mask representing anger. They started scaring everyone away with their snake hisses, and they grabbed Satoru. Before they could leave, the kabuki performer removed his mask, revealing to be Hydra. "So long, Starling."

And in a puff of smoke, he disappeared.

Meanwhile, outside the Kyoto Concert Hall, Alesha, Cheryl, Leslie, and Georgia arrived to where Sage was, thanks to the tracking devices Cheryl installed. Unfortunately, they couldn't get in due to the concert hall being on lockdown by the RAES. "This is startastic," growled Alesha. "We can't get into the concert hall due to RAES security?"

"And I don't think we can short it out with water," Cheryl added. "These things are waterproof."

"Georgia!" Harlow shouted to his girlfriend. "I escaped as soon as the RAES set the place on lockdown. And if I know I13 and I86, they won't rest nor let anyone go home until they find a Starling."

Worried that the film crew's families would freak out, that they needed a solution to fix it. That's when Cheryl got an idea. "The RAES' security systems hoard of Starling magic, but it probably won't hoard of Japanese magic. Harlow, do you know any Japanese magic tricks?"

"There is this one incense magic trick that can go through anything, even the tightest security system," Harlow said.

"Than do it," Cheryl ordered. "Ms. Sage is counting on us."

"I hope I got this right," Harlow sighed. "Hocus Pekocus, Wasabi Sansho, go through the guards and give it a go!"

In three seconds, the security system was deactivated, much to their joy. "Nice work, Harlow!" Georgia exclaimed as she kissed him.

"Aww, shucks," Harlow replied.

In the basement, Hydra's clones bound and gagged Satoru up and took his boring notes. "Oh, please," groaned one of the clones. "You've read too many 1960s Hanna-Barbera cartoons."

"Yeah," agreed another. "Do you have any idea how predictable they are?"

"Enough, boys!" the real Hydra shouted. "After nine starweeks of self-defense classes against fresh fruit, I finally got the knack to make negative wishes, so no goofing off."

"Not as goofy as me," Harlow declared. "My girl and her friends are giving you the most magical show in Kyoto."

All together, the five of them performed Japanese magic tricks, much to Hydra's confusion. While performing a parosil magic act, Alesha freed Satoru and took him to safety. Unknown to her, a star-shaped lock followed her.

After escaping, Alesha saw the star-shaped lock following her. She knew that Harlow couldn't have used his magic on them, so it only meant one thing. "It's another Wonder Wish," Alesha guessed, "and it's privacy."

Satoru was amazed by the Starling magic, but then he got a sudden flash by Sage, who erased her memory about him being kidnapped and seeing the Star Darlings.

"Glad you got the message, and the Wonder Wish," Sage commented.

Just then, Hydra and his clones came out traumatized by all the crazy magic acts Harlow, Cheryl, Georgia, and Leslie pulled off. When they got out, they came up to Sage and hugged her. "Let's get Satoru home before things get crazier," Sage suggested.

Starling Academy, Music Room

A few days later at Starling Academy, Alesha, Cheryl, and Georgia were performing Wilson Phillips' "Hold On." Vega and Sage were there to see the girls' '90s songs progress.

Some day somebody's gonna make you want to turn around and say goodbye

Until then, baby, are you going to let 'em hold you down and make you cry?

Don't you know? Don't you know? Things can change

Things'll go your way

If you hold on for one more day

Can you hold on for one more day?

Things'll go your way

Hold on for one more day

"Less flatter than the previous one," Vega commented. "Good stars, girls."

"Thanks, Lady Vega," Alesha said. "As musicians, you never know when your playing flat."

"Speak for yourself, sis," said a voice.

It was Clover. She came in with some of the Starland jewels that were lost in the Titanic.

"Star greetings, Clover," Alesha said. "What a surprise."

"Just got word from Mom and Dad," Clover explained. "They said you can have the rings that match your power crystals."

"This will be considered our school's class rings" Alesha said as she placed a Quarrelite crystal ring on her left middle finger.

Cheryl took the Panthera ring and Georgia took thev Scatterite ring. "And don't worry about the other SDs," explained Clover. "I already mailed their 'class rings' with a note explaining the origins."

"Nice work, sis," Alesha commented. "This is quite a scoop."

The words from Alesha's mouth triggered a memory for Sage. On her Star-Zap, she could see Satoru at his weekly school paper meeting. He was showing his head reporter a report on the famous music groups new song for the future spy movie, 'Stranger of Remorse' and where they got the idea.

"If they can't show movie spoilers," Sage said, "then the preview of a new song is the next big thing."

The End.
