"Batman, what are you doing up here at this time?" Clark asked, walking up to me.
"I'm checking something out in Japan," I growled.
"Oh, the meta-human society?" he asked.
"They've been calling their abilities quirks," I said.
"I still can't believe they recreated the incident causing most of their population to get meta-abilities and then cut off their borders saying that most of the world had powers," he sighed.
"I mean, there is with metas, mutants, inhumans, aliens, and then there's the others who gained just odd powers and magic," I said.
"Well, most inhumans are on the moon, meta-humans are just mutants whose abilities were locked naturally but the dark matter unlocked them, and the rest live normal lives. What's that?" he asked, pointing to the screen I was watching.
"A slime villain attacked a young boy and another boy who they announced was quirkless got in the way of the 'Pro-Heroes', I'm watching the video and I don't agree," I said, watching the green haired boy rush in to save the explosion boy.
"You aren't thinking what I think you are," he sighed.
"I probably am, but just not to the degree you are," I said. "I don't think he'll make a good Robin, but he should be a hero."
"I agree, I've actually been watching Izuku Midoriya for a while after seeing something. I think that his mind more than makes up for his lack of superpowers," Martian Manhunter said, walking in.
"So, do you think we should take him or the Avengers?" Clark asked.
"I was thinking of the new team we are making," I said.
"I agree, with some training he would make an excellent member of the Next Gen," Martian said.
"Superman, grab Flash and go pick the boy up from the police station," I growled.
"I'll prepare the teleporter," Martian said, going with the kryptonian.
POV Izuku
Why am I under arrest? I did nothing wrong. I thought, sitting in the police station. Bakugou was giving his statement to the chief when a police officer went in and said something causing all of them to come out.
"Go lead them here," the chief said.
The officer ran off and came back leading Superman and the Flash.
"Ah, there's the boy we were looking for," Superman said, looking in the direction of the chief and Bakugou who were in front of me.
"We would like to talk to you," the Flash said.
"What would you like to know?" the chief asked.
"If you want me to join you'll have to wait until after I graduate from UA," Bakugou sneered.
"Oh, I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to the boy who saved you from the villain, Izuku Midoriya right?" the man of steel asked, looking right at me.
"W-what? U-um, y-yes," I stuttered, stunned
"Huh? What do you mean? That shit stain didn't save me," Bakugou said.
"The boy is under arrest for vigilantism, why would you want to talk to a criminal?" the chief asked.
"Actually he didn't commit an act of vigilantism because he didn't use a meta-ability," the Flash said.
"We will take care of him from here," Superman said, breaking the cuffs on me. "Unless you plan on stopping us?"
"Take the disabled kid," the chief sighed.
"Let's go, you can lead us to your house," Flash said, putting a hand on my back.
I led them towards my house, doing my best to ignore the looks I was getting.
"So, um, w-why did you want to talk to me?" I asked, walking towards my apartment complex.
"I think it would be best if we do this with your parents present," Flash said, grinning.
"Mom, I'm home and I have some people who need to talk to us," I said.
"Izuku! Are you alright?!" my mom asked, pulling me into a bone crushing hug.
"Mom, can't breathe!" I said, gasping for air.
"Oh, I'm sorry. So, who needs to talk to us?"
"That would be us ma'am," Superman said, walking in.
"S-Superman a-and the Flash," my mom said, amazed at the two heroes being in our apartment. "W-why do you need to talk to us?"
"Well, it's about your son. We saw his actions during the slime attack earlier with Batman and we wanted to extend an offer to train him," the Flash said.
"O-oh, well that's kind of you, but the thing is, he's quirkless," my mom said.
"That won't be an issue, quite a few of our own members don't have powers. We saw how he moved to save that boy and agreed that he would make an excellent hero," Superman said, looking at me.
"We won't be training him to be a hero in Japan, but in the world. We haven't seen many people like him and want to make sure that he gets the chance that he deserves," the Flash said.
"I accept," I said, faster than ever before.
"NO! Izuku, I know you always dreamed about being a hero but you can't with your-"
"With my what? Disability? Mom, I can't do anything here. I'm healthy, I'm alive, so why can't I do something to help others?" I asked.
"Izuku Midoriya, this is not a decision you can make. You're quirkless, I'm sorry but you can't be a hero," my mom said.
"With all due respect ma'am, this isn't us asking you if he can. We are asking if he wants to and letting you know that your son will be in a safe environment and we won't send him anywhere that he can't handle," Superman clarified.
"So why train him? He can't defend himself, he isn't super strong, he isn't super fast, he can't fly, he can't be a hero! He won't be able to handle anything because he's disabled!" my mom yelled.
"DareDevil, Moon Knight, Professor X, Hawkeye, Dr. Strange, Cyborg," I said.
"What?" my mom asked.
"All of them are heroes with disabilities, and most of them are known worldwide. If they can be heroes then so can I," I said. "I'm going."
"No you are not," my mom said.
"I'll go get my bag," I said, going to my room and filling a couple of duffle bags with clothes, books, and my laptop. "Let's go," I said, walking out.
"You will not be leaving this house Izuku Midoriya," my mom said.
"Meet us in the parking lot," Flash said, running off with Superman behind him.
"Mom, if I can be a hero then I am taking the chance. You never believed in me so why can't I just get out of your hair. Don't pretend to actually worry about me, you just worry that I'll get hurt and the government will stop sending condolences checks. You can't stop me," I said, choking back a sob.
"Fine, leave, but don't return to my house ever again," she said, stepping away from the door.
I walked out and met the two heroes in the parking lot.
"Alright, we're going to teleport to the Watchtower so I recommend holding your breath and closing your eyes. It takes a bit to get used to," Superman said.
I did as he said and felt a rush of wind as the air got colder and more stale. I opened my eyes to see I was in a mostly metal room with glass windows looking out at space.
"Welcome to the Watchtower," Superman said.
"Welcome to your future as a hero," a gruff voice said.
AN-
So, I was working on Iron Legacy, and honestly I'm not sure I can continue writing it. The direction I was going kinda started sounding too much and honestly I'm not sure I wanted to try that direction again. I'm not taking it down but I won't update it anytime soon. This story will be going in a lighter direction with some dark moments but all in all a nice fun story. Follow, favorite, comment, and kudos. Link Out!
