Chapter 2: If... I was insane. (1/3)

The sound of steps coming from his left. The sound of steps coming from his right. The sound of steps coming from his front. The sound of steps coming from his back. Moving his head rapidly in a futile attempt to locate whoever was inside the room with him, Stuart Walker . The darkness seemed to be smothering him and the sounds of steps seemed to be getting closer and closer.

"Who is there!" Stuart yelled as the sound of static kept getting louder and louder. "Hello!" He yelled as the steps kept increasing in speed.

After a few seconds pass by, the sound of static that was coming from his phone ends and the steps stop. But with that, came a sound that was even more awful. Despite the darkness, Stuart could tell that there was someone standing in front of him. Because it kept making a strange noise, it was low sounding but the fact that he could hear it, indicates that it was right in front of him. The darkness was intense, so he couldn't see what was in front of him, and fear paralyzed the young man due to the fact that he did not know if he was in danger or not. Standing there, completely motionless inside of that dark room, all that he could think about was if this was some type of dream.

Eventually, however, a loud sound was heard by the young man wearing glasses. The loud noise was his phone ringing. Despite the fact that there was someone he didn't know inside the room with him, Stuart ended up answering the phone.

"Hello?"

...

...

"Wha-" Stuart was about to ask what the person on the other side just said to him. But before he could finish, the whole room lightened up because of a bulb right above him. "Huh?" That was the sound that Stuart made, as he moved his head up to look at the bulb, not because it didn't light up before, but because the light that was emitting wasn't normal. It was a strange gray light that practically turned the whole room into some type of colorless scenario. Making everything seemed lifeless for some reason.

But before Stuart could try to figure it out what it was, he heard steps coming from behind him. Making the young man wearing glasses, slowly turn around to see who was making that noise. Only for him to widen his eyes upon seeing what was standing right in front of the door. Standing in front of the door was a humanoid looking creature that was around eight to nine feet tall and had grayish skin that was completely devoid of any color except for a strange and glowing white eyes that stood out even in the colorless background . It had no face except for the eyes that seemed to be two large holes on the head, and no human-like features except for the hands, which resembled the hands of a gorilla. Stuart simply stood there, with his mouth wide open due to the bizarre looking creature that was right in front of him.

The thing that caused him to snap out of his shock was the creature taking a step forward towards him. "Stay away..." Stuart immediately responded by reaching inside of his coat and pulling out his revolver. After the incident on the train, he decided to carry it with him when he went out. His hand was shaking and all that he could do was step back as the gray monster approached him. Until he arrived at the wall opposite of the door, with the creature about to reach him, Stuart ended up pulling the trigger.

"WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWA!"

"AHH!" Stuart had to cover his ears as the creature let out a very loud and unbearable sound after the bullet landed on its chest. But unfortunately, while he was covering his ear to muff the loud sound, the creature grabbed Stuart and before he could do anything to fight it, launched him into the other side of the wall. "WAAAAHHH!" Making him crash into the door with the door breaking down upon impact. "Ahh..." He grunted in pain as he stood up from the floor after he crashed through the door. "Mmmm..." But he was out of the room that he was stuck in, so he immediately made his way to the stairs in order to get away from the gray creature. "AAHH!" Unfortunately, in his attempt to run down the stairs, Stuart ended up tripping and rolled down the stairs, with the revolver and cellphone falling out of his hands and his glasses falling off his face. "Ahh...Dammit..." He grunted in pain as he reached the bottom of the stairs. "No...no...no..." That was the words that came out of his mouth as he desperately searched for his glasses since he was now completely blind without them. His desperation only increased due to the sound of heavy steps coming in his direction. Touching the ground in search of his glasses or the revolver, as the heavy steps get closer and closer. His heartbeat increased and he started to hyperventilate as the steps approached him, but miraculously, he found his glasses after crawling towards the door during his search. But the exact moment he put them back on, he saw that the creature had reached the end of the stairs.

His response to that was to immediately try to open the door to get the hell out of there. Which was foolish because the door was locked, but to his surprise, it was open now.

So he opened in order to get away from the monster. But the moment he passed through the door, he came across a horrible sight. "Aaah..." Right on the other side of the door, where the main area of The Balkan was. There were a dozen more gray monsters inside the club, and they were all now looking at Stuart. It wasn't just the monster, but the whole place seemed different, it was completely colorless, just like the room. Suddenly, he heard a heavy step right behind him, and Stuart slowly turned around to look at the gray monster that attacked him just now. The sight of it, up close, was way more terrifying since the big holes that were supposedly its eyes felt like they were staring at Stuart's soul.

...

...

...

...

"Huh?" After a strange pause where the creature simply stared at Stuart, he suddenly heard a was his cell phone ringing once again. Sadly, his cellphone alongside his revolver were right past the door that was being blocked by the creature. However, the creature moved out of his way to allow Stuart to enter for some reason. Not wanting to waste this opportunity to get away, Stuart passed through the door slowly walking backwards in order to not lose sight of the dozens of monsters that were outside. The sound of his cell phone ringing kept echoing through the room, and he was genuinely afraid to answer the call. After stepping back a few times, he accidently stepped on something, which turned out to be his revolver. Wasting no time, he grabbed from the floor and held it in his right hand, which was noticeably shaking in fear. He continued to step back however, until he stood right beside the cellphone which was on the floor. Despite his fear, Stuart decided to grab his phone from the floor and see who was calling it. "Hello?"

"?wolloh os era yhW" An indistinguible voice spoke to him. ".efil sselroloc ruoy rof elbisnopser eno eht era uoY"

"What?" Stuart didn't understand but whoever was calling him, hung up the phone without saying another word.

"Hey." Someone called him from behind him. Moving his head to see who it was, he saw Michelle Valdez, standing on top of the stairs. "Are you okay?" She asked him.

He didn't answer her, he simply moved his head to look at the door that led to the main area and to his shock, the monsters were gone. Looking around, he noticed that the color was back, like it hadn't even left the place to begin with. "W-w-wwhat?" He stuttered in deep confusion as he didn't really understand what was going on.

"Ummmm... Stuart..." Michelle called him, clearly uncertain if she got his name right. "Did something happen?" She asked him.

But Stuart ignored her as he was still shaking from what had just happened. Moving his head down, he realized that the cellphone and the revolver were still in his hands. Wasting no time, he placed the revolver inside of his coat's pocket and his cellphone in his trousers pocket. Before he started to walk.

"Wait." Michelle called him again as he walked past the door that led to the main area of the Balkan in silence. But the noises, she apparently followed him for some reason. In truth, Stuart just wanted to get out of there in case of everything losing its color again and the monsters coming back. Strangely, there was something off about his movement but he was way too distracted to notice. Thankfully, he eventually reached the main entrance and quickly made his way outside. "Stop!" Although he left the Night Club, Michelle kept on following him outside. "You're bleeding!" She yelled at him.

"What?" And Stuart finally responded. Despite his current state of deep confusion, hearing Ms. Valdez said, caused Stuart to notice that there was blood on his glasses. Touching his forehead, he noticed that there was a cut on it. Sadly, this realization came with the pain, because he now felt the cut. But it wasn't just the cut, his back also really hurted and he's pretty sure that he sprained his ankle, which explains why he was limping.

"Did you fall down the stairs?" Michelle asked him as she inspected his wound.

"I..." Was that all real, or was I hallucinating? He just kept on trying to understand what the hell happened. Did I hallucinate that monster and fell down the stairs when I was running away from it? That was his only question, because if the answer is yes, it means that he is going crazy.

"Hey!" She snapped her fingers in front of his face three times to try to call his attention. "Shit, you must have hit your head when you fell." Michelle assumed that her theory of him falling down the stairs was correct, and it probably was.

"I..." Stuart didn't even bother to respond to her properly, he just looked around to see where his car was. Before he started to limp towards it.

"Hey!" Michelle called as she followed him. "What do you think you're doing?!" She asked as he reached his car door and attempted to open it with the car keys, but his hand was shaking and he was having difficulty opening it as he couldn't place the key on the keyhole. "What is wrong with you!" She yelled at him.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?"

"Stop!" Michelle yelled at him again as he managed to fit the key on the keyhole. " "You can't drive like this!"

"YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT!"

"You are in no condition to drive!" She yelled as he entered the car and sat on the driver's seat. "Are you crazy?!"

"YOU ARE WORTHLESS!"

"No!" Michelle grabbed the door of his car as he attempted to close it, and the bleeding on his head started to fall on his coat. "You are crazy, stop!"

"YOU ARE SUCH A FAILURE!"

"You're gonna get yourself killed!" Michelle yelled as she grabbed his steering wheel and his arm.

"I WISH YOU HAD NEVER BEEN BORN!"

"SHUT UUUUPPPPPPPP!" Stuart yelled in response to the voice echoing in his head in conjunction to Michelle's yelling. Michelle was startled by his sudden outburst as he looked at her. "Just...Stop... Yelling..." He tried to speak to her clearly, but he couldn't, because he was sobbing at each word. Without even realizing he started to cry in front of his co-worker. "Please... Just... Stop... Yelling...At...Me..." That was the last coherent thing that he was able to say, before he started to cry uncontrollably in front Michelle.

"Huh?" Stuart Walker opened his eyes and his vision was blurry. Where are my glasses? He asked himself since he could tell that he didn't have his glasses on. Sitting up and trying to look around despite his blurred vision, he noticed that he was on top of a bed. What happened? The last time that he remembers, was when he bursted into tears in front of his co-worker after... Did I hallucinate all of that? That was his only concern. But, it felt so... real... He felt that gray monster grabbing him and he felt the impact from when he tossed him through the door. What is happening to me?

Suddenly, he heard the door opening. "Oh, you're awake." And heard a familiar voice.

"Mrs. Sunderland?" It was the voice of one of his neighbors Mary Sunderland.

"Here." She gently touched his face, and placed his glasses on him. Once his vision became clear, he realized that he was back in his apartment. "How are you feeling?" The nice woman asked in a very soothing voice as she gently caressed his face. She was wearing a beige dress and had her hair tied.

Stuart looked around in confusion. "What?" He asked. "How did I get back?" Because he really doesn't remember getting back home. Looking down, he noticed that he was wearing his sweatshirt and sweatpants.

"Oh god," Mary seemed to be really bothered by his question. "Stuart, that woman named Michelle brought you back here yesterday, don't you remember?"

But Stuart was even more confused because he really didn't remember. "No..." Then he touched his head, where the cut was and he noticed that there was a bandage on it.

"She drove your car here, and went to call my father-in-law and he basically carried you inside and..." She seemed to be very concerned. "Your head was bleeding, you were limping and you were crying uncontrollably." That part he remembers, but he really doesn't remember being brought back to his apartment. "I heard your cries from my apartment and helped put you in bed." She touched his forehead. "You seemed to have gone into some type of shock and you also had a high fever, so I stayed to check on you." Mary explained to him.

"You didn't have to." He told her in response as he felt bad for giving her trouble.

"No, but I wanted to." She immediately responded. "But, what exactly happened?" Mrs. Sunderland asked him the complicated question. "That girl, Michelle, said that you fell from the stairs but... "

"Ummm... I did..." It was true. "I must have hit my head in the fall." Though, it only happened after I saw that monster. "I'm sorry..."

"Stuart," Mrs. Sunderland immediately wrapped her arms around him and gave a tight hug. "What are you apologizing for?" She asked him as she caressed his hair.

"I didn't want to worry anyone." He answered. She smells so nice.

"Woof!" Out of nowhere, Mira entered the room barking happily. "Woof!" Before she jumped on top of bed. Stuart and Mary separated from the hug and he picked his dog up. "Woof! Woof!" She barked a bit more before she started to lick his face.

Mary giggled a bit.

"You got a dog and didn't tell me about it?!" As he got his face licked by Mira, he heard another familiar voice.

"Hi...Laura." The one that has just entered his room after Mira, was Laura Sunderland, the adoptive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sunderland. "She followed me home the other day and I decided to keep her." He explained to her.

"She's pretty." Mrs. Sunderland patted his dog. "Where's your father?" She asked her daughter.

"Sleeping." Laura answered before she climbed on the bed and grabbed Mira from Stuart's hands.

"Woof! Woof!" Mira barked happily before she started to lick Laura's face. With Laura giggling in response.

"Can I take her for a walk?" Laura asked her mother.

Mary looked at Stuart for approval and he just nodded in response. "Sure, but only around the block."

"Thanks, mom!" Laura said happily. "Come on, Mira."

"Woof! Woof!" His dog happily followed the little girl out of his room.

Mrs. Sunderland then stood up from his bed as well. "I'm gonna make you some breakfast, stay in bed for now, okay?" She gently pushed him to make him lay down again.

"Okay..."" He knew that there was no use in telling her to not do it. "Thank you, Mrs. Sunderland."

"I told you to just call me, Mary." She pointed out. "Just rest a bit more, okay." The nice Housewife instructed him before she moved to leave the room.

But Stuart had a question. "What happened to Michelle?" He asked.

"She took a taxi home." Mary informed him. "Also, she left her phone number and she asked for you to call her." She pointed to a paper on top of his drawer. "She wants to know if you're alright and if you need her to cover your shift tonight." His revolver and his cellphone were also on top of the drawer. Mrs. Sunderland was clearly the one to put it there and she didn't seem to care much about the gun that Stuart had. "And I want you to accept her offer because you're in no condition to go to work today."

"Alright..." There was no doubt about that, his back, ankle and head hurt. Mary smiled at him before leaving the room. Leaving Stuart by himself on the bed. Once he was alone, he let out a sigh. What happened yesterday? He kept on asking himself in confusion, because he couldn't understand it. What did that voice on the phone say? The young man wearing glasses asked himself since it was the last thing that he heard before the monsters disappeared. Why did everything lose its color? Despite being almost certain that he was hallucinating everything, he was still curious about the meaning of all of those things.

As Stuart was thinking, he heard someone knocking on his front door. "Huh?" Moving his head to look at the door of his room, he wondered who was knocking on his door. It didn't take long for him to hear the door being open, probably by Mrs. Sunderland.

"What are you doing here?" Oh no... Of the long list of people that he didn't want to see today, he was on top of it. He really wanted to stay in bed and let Mary deal with it.

"I don't know what exactly you came here to complain about this time and I really don't care." Mary bluntly replied to the person that knocked on his door. "Stuart is resting right now and I'm not letting you bother him, so what do you want?" She told him and she was clearly annoyed with his presence.

"You're not gonna let me bother him?!" The grumpy sounding man immediately rebuffed. "What about him crying like a madman so loud that it nearly woke everybody in the building?!" Stuart had an urge to slap his forehead since he still can't remember that. "And what exactly are you doing in his apartment, don't you have a husband and a daughter at home?!" There was some clear insinuation that something inappropriate was happening.

"Stuart was crying because he had an accident at work and what I'm doing here is none of your business, unless you're making some type of insinuation, because if you do, we're gonna have some serious problems." Mary was clearly losing her patience with the man.

Stuart sighed and decided to stand up before the situation got worse. "Ow...Ow..." His ankle hurted as he limped towards the door of his room. Passing through the door, Stuart noticed that someone was in the bathroom, but he ignored that. Limping towards the living room, he saw that Angela was curled up on her seat with the blanket covering her completely.

"Ah!" The person on his doorstep noticed him. "There he is!" The man in question was Richard Braintree, he is one of Stuart's neighbors from Room 207. He was a middle-aged man and he was a relatively grumpy person. His temper comes from how obsessive he is with keeping the peace around the apartment complex. Any little bother is enough to make his hair stand on end.

"Stuart, please go back to bed." Mrs. Sunderland immediately pleaded with him to go back to his bed as soon as she noticed him. "And you, please leave." That was more of demand than a request, which was made even more clear by Mrs. Sunderland attempting to shut the door on his face.

But Mr. Braintree immediately pushed the door. "Wait a minute, I'm not done speaking!" He yelled at the Housewife.

"Then go complain to the superintendent, so he can tell you off as well." She replied sarcastically to the man as she kept trying to shut the door.

"Oh, I see!" But the man kept on insisting. "You think just because the superintendent is your father-in-law, you get to do whatever you want, don't you?" He accused her.

"Oh my god, don't you have anything better to do than to bother people?" Mrs. Sunderland opened the door and asked the man in visible annoyance. "And don't think I forgot the nasty thing that I said to my daughter the other day!"

"I told that annoying brat to stay the hell away from my door, you should teach her some respect." He rudely rebuffed her.

"Why yo-" She was about to reply to the man.

But then Walter came out of the bathroom and made his way back to the living room.

"What the hell!?" Mr. Braintree yelled when he saw Walter. Then he forced his way into Stuart's apartment. "What do you think you're doing here, Sullivan?!" He asked the long-haired man.

"My friend let me live with him." Walter responded as he turned on the TV.

"You let this bum live here?!" He rudely asked Stuart. "And who the hell is this girl?!" Angela shifted awkwardly, visibly uncomfortable with being yelled at.

"You can't just barge into someone's apartment like that!" Mary immediately reprimanded him for barging in uninvited. "Get out!"

"He allows a crazy hobo to live in the apartment complex and you're nagging on my ear, woman!" The man immediately replied to the woman.

"Get...Out..." Strangely, Angela, who was just sitting there quietly, spoke in a low voice in response. Which surprised Stuart.

"What did you say, woman?!" Mr. Braintree asked as he moved his head to look at her.

Out of nowhere, Angela stood up from her seat and to everyone's surprise, she had a knife on her hand. "GET OUT OF OUR HOME!" She yelled at him while pointing the knife at the man.

That startled everyone in the apartment. Why was she holding that knife?

"Hey, control this crazy bitch!" Mr. Braintree yelled at Stuart as he put his hands up as Angela pointed a Kitchen Knife towards him.

"Angela, please calm down." Mrs. Sunderland immediately spoke to her as she seems ready to stab Mr. Braintree.

Stuart simply stood there, unmoving. He never saw Angela like that before and watching her lashing out like that was quite terrifying. But he knew he had to do something before she did something bad. "Angela..." He stood in front of her, getting in between her and Mr. Braintree. "Give me that knife." He firmly told her to give him the knife.

Angela just looked at him in response, she seemed to be very distraught and Stuart didn't know why. Actually, he barely knew anything about Angela since she barely talks to him. Her hand was shaking and it seemed like she was about to burst into tears.

"Please..." Stuart added as he extended his hand to take the knife off her hand. Gently, he took the knife off her hand and held it with his left hand.

"So you're keeping a crazy hobo and a hysterical woman in your apartment," And Mr. Braintree continued with his rant. "The superintendent wil-"

"Get out of my apartment." Stuart immediately turned out to interrupt him, with the knife pointing at him.

"You're not going to get away with this, Walker." Mr. Braintree told him in response.

"You barged into his apartment uninvited, harassed two of his friends and now you are threatening him." Mary immediately responded to his threat. "Get out, and just so you know, I'm going to deny anything that you claim and say that you were the only one causing trouble here." Technically, it was true.

"This isn't over for you either, Sunderland." He said in response while pointing at Mary, before taking one last look at Stuart, giving him a hostile stare before he moved towards the exit.

Once he left his apartment, Mary immediately closed the door and Stuart sighed in relief. Angela moved to sit back on her chair and Walter changed the channel of the TV.

And unknowingly to everyone but Stuart, a noise came from the other side of the wall. Meaning that his neighbor saw everything.

"Here."

After Mr. Braintree left the apartment, Stuart wasted no time in limping back to his room and laying back on his bed. With Mrs. Sunderland proceeded to prepare his breakfast afterwards. After a few minutes, she came back to his room carrying a plate of blueberry pancakes and a glass of warm milk.

"Thanks." Stuart thanked her as he took a sip of his warm milk.

"Listen, I have to go back to my apartment now." She informed him. "But if you need anything, call me, alright?" She asked him while caressing his cheek.

"Alright..." He replied as he cut his pancakes with a knife and ate it with a fork.

"Just rest." Mary Sunderland then planted a kiss on his forehead and moved to leave the apartment. "I'm gonna take your clothes to my apartment to wash them." She told him as she reached the door of his room. "I'll come back in a few hours to check on you." Before Stuart could reply to that, she left the room, indicating that she was going to do it independently of his response.

Once he was left alone. Stuart Walker sighed because that day was pretty unpleasant. The only thing that kept it from being a total disaster, was Mrs. Sunderland presence. She's such a nice person. He thought as he ate the pancakes that she made. I still can't believe she was such a scary looking woman when I first met her, it shows what illnesses can do to a person. Mrs. Sunderland is an incredibly pleasant person, and the difference between what she was when she was sick and what she is now is night and day.

The young man wearing glasses kept on eating his breakfast while continuing to ask himself what really happened the previous day. But he doubted that he would get any answers, the most logical explanation is that he was hallucinating the whole thing. But Stuart couldn't help but compare what had happened to him in that room with what happened to him on the train not long before that. The sound it made when I shot it was... After trying to compare the noise that each creature made after he shot it with his revolver. Stuart remembered that he did shoot the monster. Putting his plate and glass of milk aside, he reached out for his revolver and inspected to see the bullets inside. I did fire the revolver, but... Michelle didn't mention the gunshot and there was no way that she didn't hear it. Considering that her room was literally in front of the one where he got stuck inside with that monster. Moving his head to his drawer, Stuart saw the paper that had Michelle's number on, that he picked up alongside his cellphone in order to call her.

"Hello?" Thankfully, she picked up the phone.

"Umm..." Now, Stuart was clueless on how to ask her what he called to ask. "This is... Stuart Walker."

"Oh," Michelle recognized his name. "Are you okay?" She asked him about it. "You really scared me yesterday." Stuart still felt bad about that, and it was worse since he can't even remember it.

"Ummm... Y-yes, I'm doing better now." He awkwardly answered her question. "I'm ... Really, really sorry for that." He decided to apologize for the inconvenience.

"It's okay," She reassured him right away. "But, what happened, did you fall down from the stairs and hit your head or something."

"Ummm... Yes..." It was technically what happened. "I... was knocking at your door because the door that led to the main area was locked and I was wondering if you had locked it up but...Then I heard a strange noise coming from the room in front of yours and..." He attempted to explain to her but got interrupted.

"Wait, what do you mean you heard a noise?" She asked him. "That room has been unoccupied for years."

"I..." How am I going to explain this without sounding crazy? "Everything was a blur after I fell down from the stairs, but..." He was trying to find the right words. "I remember seeing something inside that startled me and made me run to the stairs, which was how I fell down." Something was a big monster that was coming after me, but she isn't going to believe me. "But I can't remember what it was." I do actually, but...

"Just hold up a second, I'm gonna check out the room." Michelle told him

"Ummm... Alright." She didn't hear the gunshot, and she clearly believes that I fell down from the stairs. I really don't understand, did I really shoot that revolver during a hallucination and she didn't hear it? And why did I hallucinate inside of that room specifically if that was the case. He touched his face in deep confusion and frustration as he awaited for Michelle to check on the room for him.

"OH GOD! OH GOD! OH GOD!" Suddenly, he heard Michelle's voice once again and there was something wrong.

"Michelle?" Stuart called her name in worry.

"T-tthe-theere..." She stuttered uncontrollably as she tried to speak.

"W-what happened?!" Stuart asked in deep worry. "Talk to me?!"

"THERE'S A DEAD BODY INSIDE THE ROOM! ! ! ! ! ! ! !"

Q AND A:

This chapter is another fun chapter. The story goes on smoothly. Love the scenes of Stuart as a child. Walk in the fog and meet Alessa Gillespie with the legendary house fire scene Stuart appears to have lost his childhood memory. The only thing I don't like is the ending of the chapter. It made me want to read more.

-Walter doesn't seem to like cybil that much.

-Sybil appears to have found something happened to Stuart.

-Did Heather know she was being followed?

-I hate the enemies in the room the most, because the spirits are so annoying.

In case I don't see you good afternoon good evening and good night

Haha, that is the goal of most writers.

Walter doesn't like people in general, the only people he really likes are Stuart and Mary. (Because they are the only ones that aren't rude to him.)

Yup...

Well...

No kidding...

Same, my friend.

Very nice having Lisa patch up Stuart

Also good learning that Stuart while not being fully aware of it has been slipping into the other world a fair bit from that little flash back and that he had a connection with Alessa from the looks of it

Bless Lisa for trying to help explain what Stuart was up to last night to Cybil

Glad he got another nice little moment with Lisa before work

Scene at the bar showed Stuart as a impeccable bar tender haha

Ah seems Stuart is in for another monster encounter given how the chapter ended

To clarify again I know the thing that attacked Stuart wasn't Pyramid Head I even said that I knew that

But yeah I really hope the monsters that manifest don't want to kill Stuart they just have a very interesting form of helping him sorta like a picture a monster was slapping him all the while saying encouraging shit like you aren't trash

Essentially they are very rough with him but would never kill him

Yeah that accidentally being a guardian Angel is a aspect I love and thanks for confirming that Stuart was there the day James was going to snap and smother Mary

I can also picture that because Stuart visited Mary's bedside a hell of a lot more than James did whenever he did turn up Stuart was always there and Mary insisted on Stuart staying

She will gladly do that if he asks.

Remember, Stuart unintentionally "saved" several people from their original fate.

She accidently caused him some problems though.

Lisa is a pretty lonely individual and Stu is one of the few people she has in her life.

Yup...

If this was a game, that would be his equivalent of the Grey Child, Lying Figure,Closer,Ghost. (Basically, it would be the most common type of monster that he would encounter in the game.)

Good...

Let's just say, all of the monsters are a representation of Stuart's Psyche and in a way, Silent Hill is trying to teach him a lesson.

Basically, the injuries he sustained are an example of that.

I think you got your answer in this chapter already.
