In the farthest reaches of Skylands, Spyro and Eon had reached the final stretch of their journey. Spyro, was especially excited that he would finally meet his family, but also nervous, that they might still be evil, as they were when they were blasted from Skylands. In their long journey, he had lost track of time, and did not know if it had been weeks, months or even years, since he left the Academy. He pulled out the picture he had of him and his friends, looking at the picture always gave him a small bit of comfort when he felt nervous, or scared, or worried about them, or his family.
Eon: "Spyro, is something wrong?"-asked Eon, concerned
Spyro: "No, nothing too bad."-said Spyro, somberly-"I'm just worried, about if my family is still evil, or of that was undone."
Eon: "Spyro, I promise you, they will not still be evil."-said Eon, genuinely-"I found that after a sent them to where they are, the curse that Strykore has used to turn them evil, was broken, that I can promise."
Surprisingly, hearing those words, made Spyro feel better about this. He knew, that he would meet his family, and then it would work out again.
Spyro: "Thanks, Eon, I needed that."-said Spyro, moved-"So, how much longer until we meet my kind?"
Eon: "Actually, Spyro, we are here."-said Eon, coming to a stop
The two looked at what they had found, which was what appeared to be a cave of some sort. The fact that it was a cave, slightly disappointed Spyro.
Spyro: "You sent my kind to that cave?"-asked Spyro, disappointed-"I was expecting something a bit more...incredible."
Eon: "Spyro, it's not the cave."-Eon corrected-"The entrance is at the back of the cave."
Eon floated his way into the cave, and Spyro just flew in behind him. They entered the cave, which was very dim, and gloomy, giving off an eerie feeling. What mostly caught Spyro's attention, was the many cave drawings throughout the cave. Some looked like dragons, and battles, even one that looked like Malefor.
Spyro: "Wait, Eon, what are all these?"-asked Spyro, curiously
As soon as that question was asked, Eon turned his attention to the cave drawings.
Eon: "These cave drawings, they tell a story."-said Eon, viewing the pictures-"It says that thousands of years ago, the dragons could harness powers beyond anyone could even imagine."
Spyro: "Wow, and what else does it say?"-asked Spyro, curiously
Eon: "One day, another dragon, Malefor managed to master all of the elements."-said Eon, gravely-"He could have used his elements for good, but all he wanted...was power."
Spyro: "Why am I not surprised...wait, this was thousands of years ago."-said Spyro, surprised-"How is he here now?"
Eon: "It's called a past life, Spyro, he reincarnated and still has a few of his powers."-said Eon, lecturing-"Now, on with the story. It was because of this, that he was taken from his home, and exiled to the outlands, but for this reason, he waged war for revenge and power. He heard of two dragons that would defeat him, so he raised an army of apes, and taught them to harness the spirit gems, the life force of the dragons. This went on, until the day came, and a hero was born, his name was Spyro."
Spyro: "I'm in this story too?"-said Spyro, surprised-"I guess a lot of people had past lives here."
Eon: "Anyway: Spyro found many adventures, even amongst the world of his friends, and after an epic battle, he befriended one of Malefor's greatest minions, Cynder."
Spyro: "How many people have past lives?"-asked Spyro, before noticing Eon's annoyance-"Sorry, continue."
Eon: "Spyro and Cynder band together, and with the help of many dragons, they managed to defeat Malefor, but they lost their lives in the process."-said Eon, pausing awkwardly-"Even though they were lost, their love for one-another lived on, and they're power merged, and created an new world, up in the sky."
Spyro: "So that's the origin of Skylands."-said Spyro, starstruck-"Wait, are you saying that they're is another world beneath Skylands?"
Eon: "Yes, Spyro, and that other world is where your kind are."-said Eon, seriously-"Now, it is time to go there."
Eon then floats towards the back of the cave, and Spyro flies back behind him. The cave was very long, and as they made it further back, it got deeper, and darker. Until they reached the very back, which was made into the shape of a large, dragon's face, that resembled Spyro's.
Spyro: "So, what now?"-asked Spyro, curiously
Eon: "Breath fire into the mouth of the dragon, and the portal will open."-Eon confirmed
Spyro then gathered his strength, and breathed a jet of flames into the mouth of the dragon. As he finished, the eyes began to glow, and the mouth became some sort of a portal. Without hesitation, Spyro and Eon speeded into the portal, and it closed after them.
Intro: Harmony
The trip through the portal was an experience like no other, and the most terrifying thing he had ever experienced. Sure, Spyro had gone through a portal before, but it was always just to somewhere else in Skylands, and was slightly smoother, this one, toss him around a lot, and was going to a world beneath Skylands. Spyro and Eon fell through the portal, until it disappeared and they arrived in the world, and hit the ground with a loud thud. Eon, being in the form of a spirit, had now problem getting back up, Spyro on the other hand, clumsily and dizzy staggered up to his feet, and then ducked behind a rock to throw up. Eon just watched, and rolled his eyes as the portal had made Spyro sick. Spyro got up, still dizzy but stayed focus for a second.
Spyro: "Okay, now that I just lost my lunch, where are the other dragons?"-asked Spyro, curiously-"I kind of thought all the dragons would just be around, and we could see them."
Eon: "The dragons are in all sorts of parts of this land."-said Eon, seriously-"But your family, they are located in the dragon kingdom, Warm Hearth."
Spyro: "Well in that case, we better get going."-said Spyro, confidently-"Which way is it?"
Eon: "Warm Hearth, is located just over that way."-said Eon, pointing west-"However, it is a two day trip, and I don't know exactly where your family is."
Spyro: "Well, in that case, we better get moving."-said Spyro, excited
Spyro then flapping his wings, and took flight towards Warm Hearth, Eon floating quickly behind him. The two flew along the lands, but to Spyro, it was weird seeing a world that was not floating in the sky. He always just thought it was an endless void beneath Skylands, nonetheless, he was excited to meet his family down there. The two had traveled for several hours, and had seen many new creatures, they even saw other dragons, though these dragons were not of Spyro's dragon kind. They had gone on, until it was dusk, and they reached a forest, that looked very gloomy, and hard to navigate through with how dark it was. The two decided that because of how late it was getting, they would stop and make camp for the night. They gathered up various sticks, and piled them into a campfire, that Spyro then lit with his fire breath. Eon then crouched down by the fire, and Spyro did the same, starting to think about something.
Eon: "Is something wrong, Spyro?"-asked Eon, concerned
Spyro: "I was just thinking, about what my family will think of me, and you."-said Spyro, sadly-"You magically sent them to be trapped in this world, and I became a Skylanders. So what would they think?"
Eon looked to Spyro, and saw the tears begin to well in his eyes. Eon then floated over to Spyro, and placed his ghostly hand on the young dragon's back. Spyro looked up while Eon stroked his back gently.
Eon: "It's okay, Spyro, I'm not sure what they will think of me, but I do know what they will think of you."-said Eon, comfortingly-"They won't care that you are a Skylander, just that you are there for them."
Spyro looked up at Eon, and his mouth slowly curved into a small smile. He wiped his tears, and softly chuckled at the words.
Spyro: "Thanks, Eon"-said Spyro, moved-"I needed that."
They heard some sudden movement in the trees, that caused them to jump into a defensive position. Spyro walked slowly towards the pushes, wanting to see what it was. Then, he was jumped by a green, and hideous creature. More than came out from the bushes, and got the jump on him. Eon tried using his various spells, like telekinesis and energy blasts, while Spyro used his fire balls to knock them back. Though he was overwhelmed and pinned down by the creatures. The leader then stepped up, and held his hammer towards Spyro.
???: "Who dares come into the forest of the gnorcs, trespassers?"-said the leader, angrily-"If you trespass on gnorc territory, you feel the wrath of Gnasty Gnorc."
Spyro: "Sorry, I didn't know that this was your forest, Gnasty Gnorc."-said Spyro, nervously-"Tell you what, just let us go, and will be out of your hair."
Gnasty Gnorc: "Too late for deals."-said Gnasty Gnorc, angrily-"Time for action."
Gnasty Gnorc raised up his hammer, reading to crush Spyro with it. Fortunately, Gnasty Gnorc stopped as he was hit by a fire ball. Spyro then looked to see a red blur and a pink blur fly around them, and breath fire towards the gnorcs and send them running away. The two landed, and to Spyro's surprise, they were dragons of his kind. The first one was a male, with bright red scales and his horns, dorsal plates, underbelly, tail piece and wing webbings were orange, turning to yellow at the ends. The other was a female with pink scales, yellow horns, magenta dorsal plates, underbelly, tail end and wing webbings, and a golden collar with a heart on the front.
???1: "Are you two okay?"-asked the male dragon, concerned-"That looks like to got rough."
Spyro: "Yeah, we're fine."-said Spyro, getting up.
???2: "You shouldn't be out here."-said the female dragon, seriously-"The gnorcs don't like people trespassing around their land."
Spyro: "Yeah, I noticed that."-said Spyro, dizzily-"Thanks for the save."
Though as Spyro got a good look at the two dragons, he felt like he had seen them before. They were familiar, but at the same time, they weren't.
Spyro: "I'm starting to get a sense of deja vu here."-said Spyro, confused-"Have we met before?"
???1: "I don't recall, but it's good to see you."-said the male dragon-"I'm Flame, and she's Ember."
Spyro: "I'm Spyro, nice to meet you guys."-said Spyro, shaking hands with the two dragons
Ember: "Well, it's nice to meet you too, Spyro."-said Ember, gratefully-"So, who's that with you?"
Spyro then looked to Eon, who just floated there, frowning with his arms crossed. Eon just rolled his eyes at being forgotten about.
Spyro: "Sorry, he's Master Eon, my mentor."-said Spyro, remembering-"Well, thanks for the save, and we'll be off."
Flame: "No you won't."-Flame interrupted-"Not unless you want another encounter with the gnorcs."
Spyro: "No, we most certainly do not."-Spyro responded-"But where will we go?"
Ember: "We know a place where you can stay for at least the night."-said Ember, seriously-"Come on, it's right this way."
Spyro and Eon took a quick moment, but soon followed Flame and Ember through the woods. They flew very far, and fast until reaching the spot where they intended. It was a small village, inhabited by dragons, identical to them, but in all different sizes, and color schemes. The dragons flew back towards their houses, to which Spyro realized was because of the late night. They were about to leave, before hearing a voice call out their names.
???: "Flame, Ember, who are these two that?"-asked a loud voice
Spyro and Eon looked to see that it was large dragon, who's scales were various shades of red and orange. He looked much older, and was slightly grizzled with his age.
Flame: "Just these two travelers, Ignitus."-Flame responded-"We found them being attacked by gnorcs, and brought them here."
Ignitus: "I see, and what are the names of these travelers?"-asked Ignitus, skeptically
Ember: "Their names are Spyro and Eon."-Responded Ember-"they're from somewhere called 'Skylands' I think it was."
Ignitus just stopped, looking at Spyro with shock in his eyes towards then.
Ignitus: "Here, they will spend the night with me."-said Ignitus, hurriedly-"Come along, let's get inside."
Spyro and Eon were confused, but they just went along with it, and reluctantly followed Ignitus to his home. They arrrived, and Ignitus used his fire breath to light a fire, and began cooking soup over it. Spyro and Eon then just sat down, and Eon looked as though he had just realized something.
Eon: "Ignitus, is that really you?"-asked Eon, starstruck
Ignitus: "Yes, it is me, old friend."-Ignitus confirmed
Eon: "Ignitus, I am so sorry about what I did all those years ago."-Eon apologized-"I'm sorry I banished all of you to this world."
Ignitus: "Hush, it is okay, Eon."-Ignitus interjected-"We were turned evil by Strykore, you had no choice."
Spyro was still shocked, that the leader of this village, was an old friend of Eon's, who had been banished here. Ignitus just walked up to the pot of now-finished soup, and poured it into bowls. He gave a bowl of soup to Spyro, who then blew on it, and gave it a small sip.
Spyro: "Thank you, Ignitus, for letting us stay."-said Spyro, gratefully-"I still can't believe you guys know each other."
Ignitus: "It is very nice to meet you, Spyro."-said Ignitus, honored-"I however, must warn that not all dragons are so forgiving, Eon, this is one of the few villages in Warm Hearth that has forgiven you."
Eon: "I never expected them to."-said Eon, ashamed-"Now let's get some sleep."
After they finished their soup, Spyro, Eon, and Ignitus all moved to the edge, and got comfortable. Spyro was still impatient to meet his family, but he eventually got to sleep.
Far from the village, in the capital of Warm Hearth, news has spread far. In the lowest depths, there was a library, with a very old dragon in it, he spoke to another dragon, way younger, but superior to him.
???1: "What is the important news?"-asked the younger dragon
???2: "He has finally returned, sire."-said the elderly dragon-"The young prince has returned."
???1: "What? Are you sure of this?"-asked the other dragon, desperately-"We can not just jump to conclusions."
???2: "I am very positive, your majesty."-said the old dragon, pulling out a map-"He is in a dragon village, right here."
???1: "If you are right, then we must find him."-said the dragon, desperately
Spyro still slept soundly the next morning, having been stuck in a very deep sleep, until he was awoken by the very loud sound of roars. He went up, and saw that Ignitus and Eon had also awoken from their slumber. Ignitus was looking around through the window, and saw that it was two dragons, one green and one blue, both black secondary colors and identical, graphite-colored helmets on their heads.
Ignitus: "Stay calm, I just needed to go and work something out with them."-said Ignitus, hurriedly
Spyro looked out to see various dragons all gathered around the commotion, Flame and Ember included among the dragons watching Ignitus speak to the dragon guards. Spyro pressed the side of his head, eager to listen in on the conversation.
Ignitus: "Oh, well you two are here early."-said Ignitus, surprise-"I wasn't expecting the taxes until next week."
Dragon Guard 1: "We're not here about the taxes."-said the green dragon, calmly-"We're here because we know you have had a new arrival last night, and the king has requested an audience with him."
Ignitus: "New arrival, I haven't seen any new arrivals."-Ignitus lied-"It's been all quiet here, per usual."
Dragon Guard 2: "Well, our source says you do."-said the blue dragon, irritated-"I do assure however, the king just wants to talk."
Spyro heard this, and he knew he could not let any harm come to this village. Without hesitation, he flew through the door, avoiding Eon's attempt to stop him, and made it to the commotion. He then landed in front of the guards, and quickly defended Ignitus.
Spyro: "Wait, it's me, I'm the new arrival."-said Spyro, defensively-"I will go, and talk to your king, only if this village remains safe."
The first guard just simply nods his head, and Spyro follows closely behind them. Though as they walked further away, Eon, Flame and Ember all stepped up.
Flame: "Wait, we're going too."-Flame interjected-"We will stay by his side."
Ember: "If you want him, you take us."-said Ember, hurriedly
Dragon Guard 2: "Well then come on."-said the guard, annoyed-"Tag along if you want."
Spyro, Eon, Ember and Flame all then left with the two guards, to the shining capital of Warm Hearth.
They had flown for many hours, and it had gotten rather boring with the guards telling them how to reach. Despite what could have been the longest trip of any of their lives, they reach a very beautiful, city of dragons. Spyro thought it could have been the most amazing sight of his life, he just looked around the city with aww.
Dragon Guard 1: "Hold it, we have to take you directly to the king."-said the first guard, seriously-"So, let's come along now."
Spyro: "What, are you kidding me?"-asked Spyro, annoyed-"Can't we just take one little detour to look around?"
Eon: "I wouldn't say 'no' if I were you."-said Eon, annoyed-"He tends to start being annoying."
Dragon Guard 2: "Fine, you have thirty minutes."-said the second guard, annoyed-"But ONLY thirty minutes, and no longer."
Spyro took off so that he could take a quick tour of the massive city. Flame and Ember also came with him, and they took in the most amazing sights of their lives. Though they had to slightly rush, do to being on a timer, it was still amazing to see. Saw the various shops, and houses, it just looked amazing. Eventually, they all just leaned back, and took it all in.
Spyro: "You know guys, this is the life."-said Spyro, happily-"This has to be the most amazing place I have ever seen."
Flame: "You said it."-Flame agreed-"We've never been here before."
Though before any of them could continue their happiness, the two guards and Eon show up.
Dragon Guard 1: "Okay, your thirty minutes is up."-said the guard, annoyed-"Now come on, let's go."
Spyro: "Well, a deal is a deal."-said Spyro, satisfied-"Okay, let's meet your king."
They all just took off, and flew towards the large, palace-like structure, which was no doubt the home of the king of Warm Hearth. They were met by two more guards, who the other two just spoke to for a moment. The guards move aside, and the group flew through the archway.
Dragon Guard 2: "Well, this is where I'm afraid we can't take you."-said the second guard, guiltily-"You must fly that way, and speak to King Fyreos about this."
Eon: "You have done plenty."-said Eon, gratefully-"Now, we can do this."
They all just flew towards the way that the guards have directed them. They flew into one room, that appeared to be the right one. When entering, they saw a dragon, who could only be King Fyreos, sitting on a raised platform. He was slightly larger, and appeared to be older than Spyro. He looked like he just had a change version of Flame's color scheme. His red scales were darkened to a crimson color, and his underside, horns, tail end, dorsal plates and wing webbings were a pure gold. His appearance was completed with a golden chest plate, with a dragon's face designed onto the front of it. He also had two more dragon guards on either side of his raised platform.
Fyreos: "It appears as though you have arrived."-said Fyreos, seriously-"Do you know why you are here?"
Spyro: "Um, because I commit a crime I don't know about."-said Spyro, nervously
Fyreos: "What? Of course not."-said Fyreos, awkwardly-"You are here, so that I can welcome you home, brother."
As soon as Fyreos said the word "brother", Spyro just automatically froze in place. Fyreos then clapped his wings slowly, and flew down to Spyro. Eon then held out his hand, and was reading minds.
Spyro: "Hold on, what are you talking about?"-asked Spyro, shocked
Eon: "He speaks the truth, Spyro."-Eon confirmed-"Fyreos is indeed, your brother."
Spyro was still speechless about it, and Fyreos just stood there , across from his younger brother. Without a second thought, Spyro leaped forward and hugged his brother, he hugged him back without hesitation. The two brothers then released from the hug, and stood there.
Spyro: "You know, I wouldn't have expected that I had a brother."-said Spyro, awkwardly-"So, where are mom and dad?"
Though as that question was asked, Fyreos' smile disappeared, and he looked towards the floor.
Spyro: "Come on, where are they?"-Spyro egged his brother on-"Where are..."
Fyreos: "They're gone, Spyro."-Fyreos confirmed
Spyro: "Gone? What do you mean 'gone'?"-asked Spyro, desperately
Fyreos: "I mean they're gone, Spyro."-said Fyreos, sadly-"I don't like to remember it, but it happened a long time ago."
Flashback:
Many years ago, it was dusk and a younger Fyreos could be seen playing around in the yard. He chased a dragonfly, and nearly caught it. Until he was interrupted, by two dragons, who he knew to be his parents. Both were about as large as Ignitus is currently, and had identical chest plates to Fyreos'. King Thavinor, his father, purple scales, but also golden scales like Fyreos. Queen Laurana, his mother, had red scales like he did, but also orange ones.
Laurana: "Fyreos, come inside."-said Laurana, warmly-"We have a surprise for you."
Fyreos then let his parents lead him into the the palace, and then down a large set of stairs. They flew down to the hatchery, and arrived at the surprise. It was a large egg, purple egg, with orange spots on it.
Fyreos: "Does this mean what I think it does?"-asked Fyreos, surprise
Thavinor: "Yes, son, it does."-said Thavinor, happy-"You are going to have a new little brother or sister, and we'll all have one more to add to the family."
Fyreos was excited to have a younger sibling, and he just happily went forward and curled up against his parents. They had spent the next few months preparing for the arrival of the new hatchling, and it had been pleasant. Though, the day came that would change everything. Fyreos and his parents came down, and saw that the Chronicler, and large white and blue, elderly dragon, was examining the egg.
Chronicler: "This egg is special, your majesties, it can't hatch under these conditions."-said the Chronicler, grimly-"It has to be taken to certain conditions."
Thavinor: "What conditions?"-asked Thavinor, desperately-"Where must we go to save the egg?"
Chronicler: "There is an island, somewhere in Skylands."-said the Chronicler, pulling out a map-"That should be good enough conditions for the egg to hatch."
Without a second thought, Thavinor and Laurana both looked at the map, to see where the island was. They then got what they would need for their journey, as well as the small egg. Fyreos knew of this, and he could not allow them to just blindly leave.
Fyreos: "Wait, you can't just leave."-said Fyreos, worried-"We don't know how dangerous it is."
Laurana: "It's okay, Fyreos."-said Laurana, consolingly
Thavinor: "We will return, and the new baby will have hatched."-said Thavinor, warmly
Fyreos then hugged his parents, knowing that they're was nothing that he could do to stop them. He just let go, and watched his parents fly away from that location. It had been many days, and he began to grow more worried about his parents, and his little sibling. So he decided that he would go to the Chronicler to speak about what happened. The Chronicler used his power, to see what happened, until he just walked up to Fyreos.
Chronicler: "Prince Fyreos, the king and Queen left the egg on the island."-said the Chronicler, grimly-"But, they left into the Cadaverous Crypt, and...Malefor found them. I'm sorry."
Fyreos was hurt by this new, he had been orphaned at a young age, and probably lost his younger sibling. He just curled up, and cried out in sadness.
Spyro looked to Fyreos, who had shed a few small tears, clearly saddened by this. He had told the story of how they're parents were lost, and how they were both orphaned.
Fyreos: "After that day, I was crowned king of Warm Hearth, but that couldn't heal the pain."-said Fyreos, sadly-"It's been twenty years, but I still kick myself every day for not going with them."
Spyro slowly placed his paw onto his brother's back, and stroked along his red scales. Spyro warmly hugged his brother, to keep this from going on.
Spyro: "Hey, it wasn't your fault."-said Spyro, consolingly-"You know, if it weren't for Eon, I probably would have ended up like mom and dad."
Fyreos gave a warm look towards Eon after that last sentence.
Fyreos: "Thank you."-said Fyreos, gratefully
Eon just floated towards the dragons, and knew that they must discuss something. The two brothers separated and got back towards Eon. Though they're moment was interrupted, when a small, yellow dragonfly hurried into the room.
???: "Your highness, the chronicler has something to say to the prince."-said the dragonfly, hurried
Fyreos: "Alright, Sparx, we'll meet you down."-said Fyreos, calmly
The group all just flew down, and follow Sparx down towards the very bottom of the palace. They found at the very bottom, they're was a library, the Chronicler at the back, looking at books.
Fyreos: "Chronicler, we have arrived."-said Fyreos, seriously-"Now, what is is that you need from my brother?"
The Chronicler walked over to them, a slightly limp in his walking. He also carried a small piece of glass, with a dragon at the top of it. He just stopped at the group and got down near them.
Chronicler: "I have something to show to the young prince, your majesty."-said the Chronicler, mysteriously-"Something he should have known from the beginning."
The Chronicler just help the glass towards Spyro, as if showing it to him.
Spyro: "What do you want me to do with it?"-asked Spyro, confused
Chronicler: "You are the living reincarnation of the dragon who saved us, thousands of years ago, now you must remember."-said the Chronicler, whimsically-"Touch the glass, and you will remember everything.
Spyro hesitated for a second, but he then placed his claw on the glass, and remembered everything from his past life. He remembered saving Cynder from corruption, and making friends, as well as defeating Malefor, and using his power to create Skylands in the first place. When he removed his claw from the glass, everyone looked at him with utter shock.
Ember: "What did you see?"-asked Ember, concerned
Spyro: "I saw...my past life."-said Spyro, excited-"I saw my past life, making friends with you, saving Cynder, defeating Malefor, and creating Skylands."
Flame: "That sounds amazing."-said Flame, impressed
Spyro: "Yeah, it was really amazing."-said Spyro, before adapting a sad expression-"I just wish I could have met my parents."
Chronicler: "Actually, there is a way that you still can."-said the Chronicler, mysteriously
The Chronicler then walked over to another part of the library, still with a slightl limp in his leg. Everyone else then followed him to the area. He then stopped at what appeared to be a giant hourglass, but instead of sand, it had a glowing blue dust running down it.
Chronicler: "Touch this hourglass, and you will take to a world, a world between this world and the afterlife."-said the Chronicler, aimlessly-"There, you will meet your parents."
Spyro then steps toward the hourglass, but was grabbed by Fyreos.
Fyreos: "Wait, when you see them, tell them I miss them."-said Fyreos, quickly
Fyreos then released his brother, and Spyro walked forward and placed his hand on the hourglass. He then felt blue magic engulf him, and disappeared into the hourglass.
Spyro arrived in another world, which appeared to be just an endless void, with white mist covering the ground. He looked around, until he saw two massive figures, two figures that must have been his parents. He flew up, and zoomed toward his parents, until they turned to him.
Spyro: "Mom, Dad"-yelled Spyro, excitedly
Both: "Spyro"-said his parents, surprised
Spyro made it, and embraced his parents for a quick second, before they let go of him. They just looked at one another, sadness and joy mixed between them.
Spyro: "I can't believe you two could be here."-said Spyro, shocked-"Fyreos told me what happened, and I thought..."
Thavinor: "It's okay, Spyro, we understand."-said Thavinor, consolingly
Laurana: "But, we believe that it is time for you to know the full truth."-said Laurana, grimly
Spyro just listened, waiting for his parents to tell him whatever detail that Fyreos left out.
Thavinor: "It all started, about two months after your egg was laid, we had to go out, and keep Malefor from taking out home."-said Thavinor, guiltily-"The battle was fierce, but we held our, own, and pushed him form these lands"
Laurana: "It went good for us, but we never intended to destroy Morethaye, Malefor's wife."-said Laurana, guiltily-"All I remember, was that in her last breath, she told Malefor to take care of their egg."
Spyro: "Cynder!"-said Spyro, surprised
Thavinor: "Yes, Spyro."-Thavinor confirmed-"When we took you to that island, we were attacked by Malefor on our way back, and he destroyed us, dubbing our kind his sworn enemies."-said Thavinor, sadly
Spyro: "So that's what he meant."-said Spyro, surprised-"I can't believe what happened, before I was even born."
Laurana: "We have been watching you for years, Spyro, and we are so proud of you."-said Laurana, proudly
Spyro: "Really?"-asked Spyro, unsure
Thavinor: "We could have never been more proud, son."-said Thavinor, proudly-"Of you, or of your brother."
Spyro felt touched, to hear that even after they were gone, his parents had been watching him. He then felt himself fade, and new he was returning. He just looked to his parents, who smiled warmly, and he disappeared back to the living world.
Spyro emerged from the hourglass, and landed flat on his face, to which he started shifting onto his feet. Fyreos then runs to him, and helps his brother up to his feet.
Flame: "Spyro, are you okay?"-asked Flame, concerned
Spyro: "Yes, I'm okay."-Spyro confirmed
Fyreos: "What did you see?"-asked Fyreos, Curiously
Spyro: "I...saw...mom and dad."-said Spyro, dizzy-"They said they've been watching us, and are proud of us both."
Hearing that, also left Fyreos touched to know that him and Spyro's parents always watched them, and were proud. The Chronicler just limped over to Spyro, and showed him a rolled up slip of paper.
Chronicler: "Tell me, Spyro, do you know of the elements?"-asked the Chronicler, curiously
Spyro: "Yes, I know the elements."-Spyro confirmed-"There's earth, air, water, life, fire, tech, undead and magic."
Chronicler: "That is very good."-said the Chronicler, impressed-"But did you know, that there are actually ten elements?"
As soon as that sentence was finished, Spyro had an odd expression planted on his face.
Eon: "It's true, Spyro"-said Eon, grimly-"The Skylanders of those elements have been long forgotten."
Chronicler: "The ancients, used the power of the other eight elements, and created this."-said the chronicler, unrolling the paper
The paper showed the blueprints, to which Spyro recognize as the Core of Light. He just looked at it, and saw the eight, elemental symbols around the blueprints, but was still surprised about the two lost elements. He then pulled out the picture of him and his team, and just looked at it for a moment.
Spyro: "I'm ready."-said Spyro, blankly-"I'm ready to return to Skylands."
This only surprised everyone around him, that he was ready to leave.
Eon: "Are you sure, Spyro?"-asked Eon, unsure-"We have only just reached your home?"
Spyro: "Eon, this is the moment I've always dream of."-said Spyro, slightly sad-"But, I belong in Skylands, protecting the innocent, I'm sure."
Chronicler: "In that case, come with me."-said the Chronicler, mysteriously
The Chronicler limped towards the further back of the library, and everyone followed him. They arrived at a larger wall, with a closed portal, and a dial.
Chronicler: "This portal will take you most of the way back, but you will still take about a week to arrive at your home."-said the Chronicler, seriously-"Here, take this, and tell Cynder to touch it.
The Chronicler then hands Spyro the glass, and he takes it in his claws.
Sparx: "Wait, I'm going with you."-said Sparx, hurriedly-"I really want to see Skylands, and meet Cynder again."
Eon: "Well then, come along if you wish."-said Eon, happily
Spyro then looks to his new friends, and know that if he was leaving, he would have to say goodbye. He first goes over to Flame and Ember, who he knows would be first.
Spyro: "Ember, Flame, it was great meeting you, and thank you for saving me and Eon from those gnorcs."-said Spyro, gratefully
Flame: "It was nothing, we were just glad to help."-said Flame, pleased
Ember: "It was great to know you, goodbye."-said Ember, emotion
Spyro then hugged to two, and left them there. He then moved to Fyreos, to tell him goodbye:
Spyro: "You know, it was nice to meet my big brother, I'm sorry that we have to separate again."-said Spyro, regretfully-"But I have Skylands to protect, and you have Warm Hearth to rule, so it's the only way."
Fyreos: "Actually, there's a way we can still talk time-to-time."-said Fyreos, handing Spyro a small, yellow crystal-"If you need to talk, just tap this crystal, and we can talk through them. Also, I'm just glad to know, that your still alive, little brother."
Spyro then quickly hugged his brother as a final goodbye. He then separates, and goes over to Eon and Sparx. The Chronicler then turned the dial, and the portal opened. Spyro just looked back to Fyreos, Ember and Flame, and gave them an assuring nod. He then jumps through the portal, followed by Sparx and Eon, as the portal closes.
