It's as if time moved in slow motion in the young man's eyes as he watched his longtime crush walking in the school hallway. His thoughts blanked out when she finally approached them.

"Zuzu, where have you been? You know that I have violin lessons in about half an hour." Azula scolded.

"Sorry, I got caught up in something." The teenager said. "And I told you to stop calling me that. It's Zuko, not Zuzu."

"Ugh, whatever," Azula said, rolling her eyes. She glanced at the two boys behind her brother and raised an eyebrow with curiosity.

"Sokka. Psstt! Sokka!" Aang called, giving him a nudge on the elbow.

"Huh, what?" Sokka snapped back to his senses and turned his attention to Aang.

"Now's your chance. Go talk to her." Aang told.

"What, you mean now?" Sokka asked, a bit of sweat starting to form on his forehead.

"Yeah, she's right there in front of you," Aang said.

"Er, I just remembered I have to feed Appa," Sokka said, turning around and walking away. Aang was quick to block his way.

"What are you doing? Don't tell me you're chickening out now." Aang said. "You've been wanting to talk to her for a month now."

"Yeah well, I don't think now is the right time," Sokka told. "Maybe next time." Sokka continued walking past his level-headed friend.

Aang knew that Sokka was very nervous about meeting his crush but he wasn't gonna let him succumb to his fears. So with that, an idea popped into Aang's brilliant mind.

"Sorry, Sokka but either it's now or never." Aang grinned widely. With a swift and gentle motion, Aang started manipulating the cool and breezy air around him and swung it across his water tribe friend.

"What the-?" Sokka noticed that he was being carried by the wind and he knew exactly who was doing it. "Aang, stop it! Put me down!"

Aang slowly turned and swayed both of his arms back with full control, guiding the air current that carried his friend to the beautiful girl dressed in eye-catching fire nation colors.

Within seconds, Sokka found himself standing in front of the girl that haunted his dreams. Vibrant cerulean eyes lock into soft yet stern ambers. Like Sokka wasn't nervous enough, the air that sent him flying to her had caressed Azula's light and spotless skin. And her dark hair kept flowing in the air like those perfectly produced hair commercials. In short, she looked like a pure goddess.

"Um... hey," Sokka said, grinning like an idiot.

"Hey?" Azula responded.

"This is for you..." Sokka handed over the white lily flower that he had bought earlier before Jet and his gang chased them all over the school. "Happy Valentine's day."

Azula looked a bit taken aback at the sweet gesture and a hint of crimson started to form on her cheeks. When Azula accepted the white lily flower, she looked at Sokka with warmth in her eyes and gave him a slight smirk, the one that could melt any guy in a heartbeat.

"Thank you for the flower," Azula said, her voice feeling gentle going in Sokka's ear.

"Well, I'm glad you like it," Sokka told, smiling from ear to ear. He glanced behind him to look at Aang and his animal companion, Momo giving him two thumbs up with bright happy grins on their faces.

"However..." Azula opened her palm where the beautiful flower layed on and suddenly she had engulfed it with hot blue flames. The flower immediately crumbled into pieces of ashes which was swept away by the wind. Sokka's jaw just dropped on the floor when he saw what she did and took two steps back when Azula walked to come face to face with him. "Let me make something clear. I'm not interested in you or any other boy in this school. And I'm certainly not interested in Valentine's day or whatever you call it."

"Azula-" Zuko tried to speak but he was interrupted by his fiery little sister.

"And you! Because of you, I'm almost late for my piano lessons! Do I have to talk to our father about your lack of punctuality? You remember the last time he scolded you for something right?" Azula said, pointing her finger to the large scar on her brother's eye.

"I remember," Zuko said, touching the dead skin on his eye.

"Good. I'll be waiting in the car then. I expect you to be there and drive me to where I need to be." Azula told. She took one last look at Sokka and the frightened Airbender behind him then went on her way to the school exit.

"Well, she seems nice," Aang told, breaking the ice.

"Sorry about that, Azula can be a bit, well, Azula." Zuko told, patting Sokka on the back.

"That was a lot better than I expected," Sokka told.

"Really? What were you expecting to happen?" Aang asked.

"I don't know, murder or something." Sokka shrugged.

"To be honest, you are the only person that I've seen to actually approach her like that and not run away crying from her," Zuko told.

"I was actually about to run away when she started walking toward us," Aang told.

Zuko's phone started ringing all of a sudden, interrupting their conversation. He took his phone out of his pocket and saw that it was Azula that was calling him.

"I have to go guys. I'll see you around." Zuko said as he started toward the school exit. Aang walked next to Sokka and nudged him on the elbow, his expression filled with a hint of uncertainty.

"Sokka, do you really like Azula?"

That question lingered in Sokka's head until the next day in school. It was already noon and Sokka had just finished ethics class which was taught by his favorite teacher Piandao.

When he entered the cafeteria, there was a long line of students taking their orders at the counter. Sokka sighed in dismay and thought that if he waited in that long line, he might not be able to eat his lunch before the next class starts. So what's the next best thing to do? Sokka thought.

About five minutes later, Sokka enters a coffee shop right next to the school. The scent of delicious baked bread and the sweet aroma of brewed coffee made his stomach growl and his mouth water. The young student went to the available counter and took his time looking at the menu. The young lady on the counter greeted him with a smile and asked,

"What can I get you with?"

"Yeah, I'll have a cappuccino with extra cream. And a croissant with it to go please." Sokka said.

"Coming right up. Please wait on the table, sir. Thank you." The young lady told.

"Okay, thanks."

Sokka found the table right next to the window to be a bit more comfortable than the rest of the spots in the room. He sat there and waited patiently for his order. Sokka found the ambiance of the shop to be relaxing and aesthetic in many ways. The bright neon lights that covered the room were pleasing to the eyes. The music playing in the background was gentle and soothing to the ears. The people hanging around here are either reading a book or busy using their computers.

Usually, Sokka would find a place like this to be boring but sometimes he finds it to be the most relaxing place he has ever been to. He looked at his watch and knew that he had a lot more time to enjoy his lunch break. He wasn't in a rush for his next class which is taught by the fierce Master Jeong Jeong.

A text message caught his attention on his phone. It was none other than his best friend Aang.

"Just finished, Master Paku's class. I'm on the way to the cafeteria."

Sokka tapped the reply button and began composing a message of his own but before he could do that, he glanced to his right and noticed a figure standing next to him. When he looked up he jolted in surprise, almost dropping his phone off his hands. He did not expect Azula to be there next to him.

"Where did you come from?" Sokka asked, heart still pumping with adrenaline. Azula raised an eyebrow while looking down on Sokka with suspicion.

"Have you been stalking me?" Azula asked, clutching her small laptop and her pink purse made from the finest leathers of the fire nation.

"Stalking? No. I didn't even know you were here." Sokka laughed nervously.

"Are you sure about that?" Azula asked, tilting her head, stone-cold eyes locked on the boomerang guy.

"Yeah I mean you're beautiful and all but I would never stalk you or anyone," Sokka explained.

"What did you say?" Azula asked, her cheeks blushing a bit from what she heard.

"Nothing!" Sokka told.

"Hmph!" She stood there and looked at him for a few more seconds. Sokka was starting to feel a bit uneasy. He didn't expect to meet Azula again just after their encounter yesterday. "May I sit with you?"

"Yeah sure." Sokka gulped. He tried to be all smooth about it but failed miserably.

"I'm surprised you're alone, where's your little friend?" Azula asked.

"Oh, he's in the school cafeteria right now probably looking for me," Sokka told. "I almost forgot, I have to send him a reply to let him know I'm here."

"Wait," Azula told, she touched his hand, stopping him from using his phone. "Before you do that, I have to apologize to you about yesterday."

"Oh, that? That's no big deal." Sokka told. "We can just forget that it all happened."

"Well, it's a big deal to me," Azula told. "You were just showing me a sweet gesture by giving me a white lily for Valentine's day and I burned it into ashes right in front of you."

"It costs me about 15 silver pieces too." Sokka joked, Azula barely let out an audible chuckle.

"Even so, you were the only boy in school to ever give me a flower on Valentine's day," Azula told.

"What? Really? I thought for sure guys would have given you more flowers and gifts since you are one of the most popular girls in school." Sokka told.

"Well, you thought wrong," Azula told. "Everyone I know wouldn't dare to approach me, much less give me a single flower."

"That's crazy when you think about it," Sokka said.

"Do you know want to know what's crazier?"

"What?" Sokka asked.

"I love it," Azula told.

"You love it?" Sokka asked. "Why is that?"

"It helps me know who will truly adore me," Azula smirked, she turned her head to the window and watched the busy scenery outside. Multiple cars rushing on the road, people on the sidewalk chatting and socializing. At a distance, she sees a man carrying a dozen roses and a box of chocolates and giving them to a beautiful girl, embracing one another.

A minute later, the young girl from the counter finally brought Sokka his light cappuccino with extra cream and a small piece of croissant.

"Enjoy your meal." The young barista told before heading back to her station.

"Will do," Sokka told, eyeing his meal on the table. Before he could grab a bite, he looked at Azula and asked her if she wanted some. Azula simply stood up from her chair and collected her belongings.

"No thanks, I must leave you here now," Azula said. "I have a lot of things to do."

"It was nice chatting with you, I guess," Sokka told.

"I almost forgot." Azula turned back around to face the young boomerang wielder. She held out her hand to him and suddenly a small concentrated azure flame appeared on her hand. She held it very close to his frightened face. "Tell anyone about this conversation we had and I will destroy you and your precious little boomerang. Understand?"

"Whoa okay, my lips are sealed," Sokka told, holding both arms up in the air.

"Good," Azula told. Sokka watched the fiery girl leave the coffee shop and on to the school.

"She's crazy," Sokka said, shaking his head.
