This night was slowly turning more and more into what the coronation was. Started calm with uncertainty to a situation, a choice to be made, then relief. However, the coronation also brought forward a problem to deal with, and a fight to be had. Those two things hadn't happened tonight at the royal ball, but Bolverk had a feeling the night was not over yet just because he broke the love spell Astrid was under by Dagur with the kiss of true love. Everything Bolverk said was the truth, he didn't know what love was or felt like until the day he let Astrid go because he felt he wasn't good enough for her, and making her leave was the hardest thing he'd ever done. The pain of sending her away brought him to the ground where he cried up until just a few minutes before his friends came up to tell him Dagur captured Astrid. Bolverk feeling that pain in his chest, in his heart is what made him realize that he did love Astrid, but knew she deserved more than he believed he could give and be. However, Bolverk saw that painting and understood Astrid never wanted him to change, and while she did want him to be her king, she didn't want him to stop being who he was because that's who she fell in love with.

The only reason Bolverk walked away was that Dagur said Astrid made that painting before she met him, and then fell in love with Dagur. Bolverk, unfortunately, couldn't deny that being truth because it was said Astrid used magic to make the painting what it was on Thursday, and that was before she met Dagur on Outcast Island. Just now, Bolverk realized Astrid was spelled to love Dagur and Bolverk realized that the one thing that could break any love spell was always the power of true love, hence the kiss. But Bolverk knew that he had to get Astrid's attention first, or she'd just keep responding to Dagur. So, Bolverk's idea was knock Dagur away and show Astrid moments in his life where she always showed her love for him, and then the final memory was that he broke down crying when he let her go because he did love her, but didn't want to hurt her by not being what she needed.

Bolverk realized with the painting that Astrid loved him for who he really was and believed in the person he was. Thankfully, after the kiss, the spell was broken. It was clear that it worked because Astrid kissed Bolverk back, and was looking at him with absolute adoration again. Unfortunately, Bolverk knew that Dagur hated to lose, so he did not anticipate that everything was just going to be fine and dandy now that Bolverk broke the spell he cast on Astrid.

"Ugh!" Dagur growled. "Give me that scepter!" He charged forward as Bolverk quickly moved Astrid so she was behind him and grabbed Dagur's wrist before he put his hand on the staff.

"Guards, seize him!" Stoick demanded.

Dagur glared, ripping free of Bolverk's grip and trying to make a break for the water and just about all the guards, Stoick, Valka, Astrid, Bolverk, and their friends chased him. Heather got to the front first. "Stop! Everyone stop, please!" Heather put her arms out to keep everyone from coming forward more. "Dagur," Heather said as Dagur turned and looked at her, ready to strike because he was basically cornered. "I know you and I know this isn't how you want to be…"

"You don't know anything," Dagur glared. "I know who I am, I always have. I'm a villain, born and raised. I never changed into someone I'm not, unlike you and the rest of your friends,"

"Yes, I do know you. I know you're a villain, Dagur, but I didn't say that you weren't…I said I know it's how you want to be. You weren't even born on Outcast Island, you were born here…And you were raised to be bad by our parents. So was I. So was Eret, Soren, Olivia, and Bolverk…We were all raised to be bad. We fought, stole, lied, cheated, and terrorized others…But we had no choice. We did what we had to in order to survive there and keep our parents off our backs. But we got to come here, where our parents can't affect our choices." Heather explained. "You don't have to be a villain. You can choose your own path now that you're away from mom and dad…Just like I did when I was in your position. You don't have to do this. Don't let your pride decide you future," Heather offered her hand to him. "Please?"

Dagur stared at her, then her hand as Heather moved a bit closer, nodding to him that it was okay and to take her hand. Dagur relaxed his stance and sighed before he shifted a bit closer, bringing up his hand to take hers. Heather smiled, reaching for his, but Dagur suddenly grinned darkly as he grabbed Astrid's wrist and yanked her towards him. Dagur locked his arm around her figure to pin her arms down, then bring up his other arm where that hand was holding a dagger at her throat. "Sorry, sis…But being good doesn't let me get my revenge. Pride doesn't decide my future…Desire does."

"Dagur!" Heather gasped.

"Let her go, Dagur," Bolverk demanded.

"You couldn't just leave well enough alone, could you, Bolverk?" Dagur snapped at him. "Everything was going fine until you had to come back and make her love you again,"

"Are you serious right now?" Bolverk glared. "She never stopped loving me,"

"Yes, she did! She loved me, I was going to be her king, and we were going to drop the barrier and rule together. And just like with my sister, you had to go and take it away!" Dagur remarked.

"Okay, you can drop the lie any time, Dagur. I don't know why you're still trying to use it, but it's over," Bolverk stated.

"I'm not lying! You came back after walking away, started all on your sickeningly meaningful words, and made her forget all about me. You spelled her!" Dagur accused.

"Oh, you are so full of it!" Bolverk shot back. "I know what you did, and know that I'm not going to let you get away with it," Bolverk added.

"I didn't do anything!" Dagur argued. "I finally find love, and you couldn't stand it, so you took her away from me?"

"You didn't find love, Dagur! You cast a spell to make her love you so you could make her give you the scepter to destroy the barrier on Outcast Island!" Bolverk yelled at him as Dagur stared. "There was never any love, it was just one part of your big plan for revenge. You said that yourself. Being good doesn't let you get your revenge."

"You can't prove any of that," Dagur scoffed. "She loved me."

"Are you sure about that?" Bolverk challenged.

"Entirely," Dagur glared.

"Okay then. If Astrid really loved you before I did what I did, then she wouldn't have responded to me. She would have pushed me away and rushed right back to you. But that's not what happened…You were forgotten because I broke the spell and she loves me," Bolverk informed.

"All you did was show her a couple of memories and kiss her. How would that break a spell, if there was one because I didn't cast one," Dagur huffed. "You didn't give her no anti-love potion,"

"Yeah, that's one way to reverse the effects of a love spell, depending on the one you use decides the ingredients for the removal. However, had you paid attention in lessons about casting love spells, the one thing that can break any love spell if you don't have the recipe for the anti-love potion, is true love's kiss," Bolverk replied. "The spell you put on her broke because I'm her true love and she's mine…That's why she stopped loving you when I kissed her because she never actually loved you in the first place." After a moment of silence, Dagur shrugged.

"Fine, ya got me," Dagur groaned, rolling his eyes. "How'd you figure it out?"

"Easily after the gift she made for me was revealed. Astrid changed it to look that way just today when we got back earlier, so how is it she calls it true love today if you're claiming she fell for you on Outcast Island. I also know you likely stole my spellbook, since it's not among my things and it was before we got through the barrier. My guess is that it fell out when I did those moves on Toothless and you snatched it up, dove through the barrier, and used it to get what you want," Bolverk rolled his eyes. "You're predictable, so much in fact that it's entertaining to watch you fail over and over again," He grinned. Bolverk knew that this couldn't be handled by normal means, and it meant he had to become someone he gave up. Bolverk really didn't want to but knew that he didn't have a choice right now. Dagur expected him to be good, so Bolverk has to be the opposite to put himself in control of the situation.

"This is fun to you?!" Dagur glared. "I'm holding your girlfriend with a dagger to her neck and you think this is some kind of joke?!"

"Of course. I do love a good standoff when I know the other person actually doesn't stand a chance in the nine realms of beating me," Bolverk gave a small chuckle as Dagur's brow twitched with irritation. Bolverk moved closer as Dagur flinched and pressed the blade more.

"Keep coming closer and I'll make the kingdom queenless," Dagur warned.

Bolverk grinned calmly. "You think I'm afraid of you? No, you won't because it's not your end game in why you did all this to begin with," He said. "You made Astrid love you by spelling her to get the scepter. I broke the spell with true love. Now you're holding her as leverage to get the scepter. You won't kill her because it won't get you what you want," Dagur grumbled a bit. "So…Why don't you just chill out before you go doing something you'll regret," He added.

"I don't like your overly calm demeanor…It's usually because you have something up your sleeve to trick me," Dagur remarked cautiously.

Bolverk held up his hands to reveal they were empty. "What way would there be to trick you? You're standing there with a blade to her throat? I obviously can't do anything like last time on the island. I have no way to deceive you. The only way to save Astrid is to give you what you want. So let's just get it done with," He informed as Dagur arched a brow. Bolverk held up his hand. "I command the scepter into my hand," He said.

The box containing the scepter inside flew out of the guard's hands and levitated in front of Bolverk. The box opened and the scepter came out and set itself into his hand, then the box just fell to the ground. "Bolverk, no!" His friends pleaded.

"What choice do I have? It's this or Astrid, and I'm not losing Astrid…" Bolverk stated as he stepped closer to Dagur no. "No tricks, no games, no nothing. The scepter for Astrid. Are we doing this or not? It's the real one, Dagur. You have Astrid's life in your hands, I'm not risking it to deceive you again,"

"Now, hand it over…" Dagur put out his hand.

"Give me Astrid," Bolverk demanded.

"As soon as I have the scepter," Dagur countered.

"Fine, here ya go then," Bolverk tossed it to him.

Dagur released Astrid, shoving her towards Bolverk as he caught the staff with a smirk, but it quickly faded when the staff burst with power that Dagur couldn't control. It was basically shocking Dagur, making it hard for him to stay still and keep the scepter in place. "Wh-What did you do!?" Dagur yelled.

"Hey, this isn't me," Bolverk remarked. After going another few moments and Dagur yelled out from pain and hit his knees, Heather went to reach for him.

"Dagur..." Heather whispered softly. Bolverk knew that despite things Dagur has done, she still loved her older brother.

"Stay back," Bolverk told her.

"He's my brother, it's killing him!" Heather said with panic.

"And it will kill you if you touch it. Stay back," Bolverk let go of Astrid, having her stay out of Dagur's reach before he walked forward and pulled the scepter from his hands and grunted at first, but his eyes flashed green and a small black wave of energy pulsed from his body. The scepter's overflow of power began to diminish and seep back into the stone. Bolverk's eyes turned to normal as he pulled one hand off of it and let the scepter's base rest on the ground, but he still held it with the one hand as the area was quiet and everyone was wondering what would happen next since Dagur obviously couldn't wield the scepter.

"I knew you did something to it!" Dagur glared, on his feet now.

"What makes you think I did something? For all you know, it rejects people with dark hearts," I huffed.

"That's a lie! Your dad was able to hold it during the coronation!" Dagur remarked. "You're able to hold it too," He reminded. Well, there went that idea. "You tell me what you did and remove it, right now," Dagur ordered.

"I didn't do anything to it, Dagur," I replied. "I actually had nothing to do with it this time,"

"You're lying!" Dagur pointed at me.

I narrowed my eyes and growled at him. "I AM NOT!" I yelled at him as he flinched a bit, slightly taken by surprise. "You can't hold the scepter because you're not strong enough to!" Now, his eyes widened a bit. "Alright, you get it now? The scepter cannot be wielded, or even touched by someone who doesn't have the magical power level that matches Stoick and Valka," I explained. "It's nothing I did to it, Dagur. The scepter in the hands of someone who doesn't have the power to control it makes it burst with power overflow. Bottom line is that you can't have this because you can't hold it let alone wield its power!" Dagur sort of stood there, taking in what I said.
