=Bolverk's POV=

(Archian Isle; Palace Courtyard)

I knew Dagur wasn't going to take likely to me breaking the spell he put on Astrid. Briefly, I believed Dagur might turn good when Heather talked to him, but as soon as Dagur grabbed Astrid, I was certain there would be a fight. I wasn't sure how it would go, and honestly, after what just happened, I still didn't know. Now, I didn't know what Dagur's power level was because we were all on Outcast Island, where there isn't any magic within the walls of the barrier. I knew from being Drago's son that I would likely be able to hold the scepter because it took both Stoick and Valka to defeat him. I learned all of this five months ago when Bjorn couldn't hold the scepter without it bursting with power, but with it in my hands, the overflow of power immediately stopped. That's when I realized that I obviously had enough power to be on par with Stoick, Valka, and my father. However, this was different when I saw what the scepter did to Dagur. It was more than his being unable to handle it's power like it was hurting him too. This time, the scepter not only burst with power that Dagur wasn't strong enough to wield, but it looked as if the scepter was rejecting his touch and attacking him because Dagur was growing weak and he was forced to his knees.

That didn't happen to Bjorn. And even when I grabbed the scepter from Dagur, it took me a moment to get it under control, but I think that was also because I had to stabilize whatever released to hurt Dagur. So now, I'm standing here before Dagur, who has finally caught his breath and recovered from whatever happened. The scepter was calm as before Dagur had it, still glowing at the top. The area was quiet because I wasn't sure what happened next. I did exactly what Dagur wanted, I gave him the scepter, but he couldn't use it because he didn't have the power to. I was certain that this would only cause more problems, Dagur didn't give up easily, and wouldn't now that he'd actually had the scepter and couldn't wield its power.

. . .

=Normal POV=

Dagur was angry as ever now, it showed in his glare and clenched fists. Finally, before anyone could do anything, Dagur got up. "You do not get to win every time!" He created a large green blast and shot it Bolverk, who had his back turned.

"Bol, look out!" Olivia called.

As soon as Bolverk turned, he was hit and sent back into the rock wall that outlined the perimeters of the beach area. When the smoke faded, Bolverk was just working on getting to his feet and shaking his head from the collision. "Bolverk…" Astrid went to run to him, but Eret and Soren pulled her back.

"You're not going to want to be getting in the way," Eret informed.

"He could be hurt!" Astrid protested.

"And going to him is exactly what Dagur wants, to put you in a line of fire. So stay put," Soren mentioned.

"I will get back at you, Bolverk…And I will get even!" Dagur warned before smirking and getting in the air to create a barrage of green blasts to rain down. "You can't save them all!" Dagur laughed as he released his attack. Bolverk moved to get in front of everyone else and throw his hands out to create a shield that kept the blasts from landing anywhere, they just stayed in place against the barrier.

"Your attack I hold, I now send back tenfold," Bolverk muttered as his eyes flashed green and the shield expanded out to send the attack back at Dagur.

"Oh no," Dagur's eyes widened as he quickly ducked down and the attack went over him and eventually just dropped into the ocean. Dagur grinned. "Ha-ha, you missed, brother!"

"Did I?" Bolverk remarked as Dagur turned to see the balls of energy group together into one larger one and smack into Dagur, forcing him down and into the water. Bolverk dropped the barrier, panting, and fell to one knee.

"Where's Dagur?" Heather asked.

"Uh…" The twins pointed to Dagur's retreating form flying away.

"Don't worry, Bol…He's not getting away," Astrid reassured with a hand on his shoulder once he got to his feet.

"No, he certainly will not," Bolverk's eyes encased in a green glow before he shot off from the ground after Dagur. Bolverk reached Dagur and flew right in front of him as Dagur stopped. Bolverk folded his arms, floating in place as if he were standing straight. "Hi, brother,"

"Aw, you're mad. I know I should have told you I was leaving, but I hate goodbyes," Dagur replied.

"You're not going anywhere except back to Outcast Island where you belong. You kidnapped my girlfriend, stole my spellbook, spelled her to love you, and threatened to kill her if you didn't get the scepter that you can't even wield!" Bolverk reminded coldly.

"Well, yeah…" Dagur shrugged.

"You will turn right around, land, and go quietly as you're escorted and heavily guarded back to Outcast Island," Bolverk ordered.

Dagur glared, rising higher to be in Bolverk's face. "And what will you do if I don't?" Dagur raised his hand to fire a newly formed green blast at Bolverk.

"Something I should have a long time ago," Bolverk charged two purple blasts in his hands and bringing them together to shoot Dagur back and closer to the ground.

"Oh ho ho ho!" Dagur laughed out, preparing two green blasts in his hands. "This is gonna be fun! Come on, Bolverk! Let's finish this once and for all!" He started firing several blasts at once as Bolverk moved to dodge them, getting in close and being able to kick Dagur off to the side. The two of them just kept going back and forth as all anyone could really do was watch. After ten minutes, both males flew into each other, blasts colliding and causing a big blowback to send them away from one another, and out of the sky. Bolverk and Dagur both crashed down hard on the beach.

It took a few moments, but Bolverk and Dagur recovered and got up, facing one another, but still a good distance between them. "We've gotta stop them," Valka told Stoick.

"I don't think it's wise to get between them," Gobber pointed out.

"What is all this revenge about anyway?" Stoick asked.

"The short version is Bolverk and Dagur used to be best friends, basically brothers. The two of them ruled Outcast Island together, leaders of our little villain kid gang. Well, the two of them had a huge prank war two years ago where one of Bol's pranks went horribly wrong and it made Dagur the laughing stock of Outcast Island, so he swore revenge on Bolverk. In the time since then, that's all Dagur has been aiming to do, take Bol down and the anger only grew along with jealousy that I wouldn't abandon mine and Bolverk's relationship as friends, practically siblings, for him. He accused Bolverk of stealing me away, making me hate him." Heather explained.

"But the prank Bolverk set up, meant to be harmless, got set off too early and it triggered a much bigger chain of things that left Dagur the laughing stock of the island. Dagur swore vengeance on Bolverk, and left," Soren continued. "But what happened to him was an accident,"

"And Dagur believes that Bolverk embarrassed him on purpose, he refuses to hear the truth. So…Now Dagur has spent the last two years trying to get back at Bolverk over what happened, and apparently, stealing Heather from him," Olivia mentioned.

"Bolverk never stole me. Dagur abandoned me on one of the things Bolverk sent us to do. I nearly died because of Dagur, and Bol saved me. So Bolverk stopped letting Dagur take me as his partner in crime for my own safety. Obviously, this saving thing happened before the two officially broke their friendship. Bol and I were probably about thirteen," Heather informed. "Dagur's way of evil involves games, and it's never able to beat Bol's intellect. It's rare that Bolverk actually fights like this," She motioned her hand to the two males.

"So Dagur wants revenge on Bolverk for saving his sister's life when he wasn't there for you," Tuffnut asked.

"And also that Dagur thinks everything is a game, so people think he's a joke," Ruffnut added.

"And that you and Bolverk kept your sibling-like relationship when Dagur swore vengeance on Bolverk after the accidental prank?" Snotlout blinked.

"Basically," The friends of Bolverk replied.

Dagur and Bolverk were now on the ground, firing blasts at each other. It was more like streams of energy that collided in the middle and the two fought against one another to overpower the other's energy. Heather couldn't stand it, watching Bolverk and Dagur fight like this. Despite Dagur's behavior, Heather still loved him. Maybe she could be the one to break them up? They loved her, didn't they?

"I've got to stop them…" Heather said before she darted forward to get to Bolverk and Dagur, who were preparing to attack one another again.

"Heather!" The friends called in worry.

Heather saw Dagur and Bolverk nearing one another to actually take this to a physical fight and she rushed between them. "STOP!" Heather yelled, her arms out and feeling Dagur and Bolverk's chests against her palms. Heather panted, turned around, and looking up to see Dagur and Bolverk bother glaring angrily and ready to throw a punch.

"Stay out of this, Heather," Bolverk said.

"It's between me and him," Dagur growled.

"No, that's enough, both of you!" Heather glared, pushing them farther away from one another, but keeping her hands out. Heather continued looking between them. Dagur and Bolverk prepared to move again to keep fighting. "You can't hurt each other without hurting me!" Both males slowly lost some of their anger, but kept the glares and lowered their hands. "Alright? This has been going on for years between you two and I've had enough of it, so it stops now. You won't attack each other with me in the middle and risk hurting me because I know that if nothing else you two agree on, it's that you care about and love me." Heather remarked.

"Yeah, but look who chose over your own brother," Dagur scoffed.

"Dagur, I didn't choose Bolverk over you! You're the one who walked away from me because I wouldn't abandon my friendship with him when you swore revenge," Heather enlightened as Dagur stared at her. Heather put her arms down and faced her older brother. "Dagur, when you and Bolverk were best friends…You told me that you considered Bolverk your brother, that I could call him my brother too. You two promised me that you would BOTH always be here for me. Keep me safe…" Heather reminded. "But Dagur…You let your anger and jealously of Bolverk's success as top villain separate us. I didn't choose for me not to be in your life. You became obsessed with being the best, doing whatever you could to beat Bol. He never took me away from you, he just wanted to keep me safe because your obsession was making you think recklessly and get into dangerous things. I tried to talk to you and you'd push me off, ignore me…Bol was just keeping up his part of the promise you both made to me to keep me safe and always be here for me…"

Dagur didn't say anything. "Dagur…You will always be my older brother. Okay? We have the same parents, same powers, same last name…Same blood. We're family and there is no force in the nine realms that can ever change that. I can't forget about you, I never have even known you're still a villain and I chose to be good. I love you, brother…And I will love you no matter where we are, what we do, together, apart…You could be a ruthless murderer and while I will hate the things you do…I will still always love you." Heather stressed to him. Heather lifted her hand to motion at Bolverk now. "But I love him too, Dagur," Heather continued after a short pause. "Bolverk is my best friend, and he's been here for me, like a brother, when you weren't and haven't. I'm not asking you two to make up and be besties or brothers again, though, it would be nice. I won't ask it, that's up to you two. What I will ask is for the fighting to stop…"

Now, Heather was back to looking at both of them. "It has to stop. It's not the answer and nobody wins this way. You're both hurting each other, and hurting me because I love you both. Differences, pasts, whatever aside…We have to listen to and respect one another. Dagur, I know you hate Bolverk for what happened two years ago and I know you refuse to hear anything regarding it, but understand that it was not supposed to happen that way." Heather paused as Dagur arched a brow at her. "Regardless…I know it won't be easy, but can you try? For me, please? Is your hate for one another really stronger than the love you have for me? Can you put it aside if we decide to come to visit the island? Or you maybe want to choose to be good and stay? I just need to know if you two can try not to fight for my sake? I love you both, and I can't choose between you…So please?"

Dagur and Bolverk looked at each other. "I guess I can stop trying to kill him for you,"

"I'm good with anybody as long as the people I care about are safe," Bolverk shrugged.

Heather smiled as she grabbed their hands and pulled them towards her so she could hug them both. "Aw, thank you. It's good to have both of my brothers so close again."

Dagur and Bolverk looked at one another, being so close, and eventually sighed. "The things we do for our sister," The two said, giving in and hugging Heather at the same time. After a minute, the hug ended and the two males quickly separated.

"I guess I have to go back now, don't I?" Dagur asked.

"Good job, breaking them up the way you did," Soren nodded.

"Crazy, and dangerous, but it worked," Eret chuckled.

"Of course it was crazy and dangerous, she's a Berserker," Bolverk and Dagur said at the same time, then stared at one another. "We need to stop doing that," the two commented. "Stop copying me!"

"GUYS!" Heather yelled.

"Sorry, sis," Bolverk and Dagur replied before glaring at one another.

"Odin above, you two really should be brothers," Heather sighed again.

Astrid came up next to Bolverk, hugging him from the side as Bolverk kissed her forehead. Dagur looked down at his hand and saw the ring still there, he pulled it off and held it out to Astrid. "I know it's not mine, so here," Astrid took it from him as Dagur looked at Bolverk. "Since I won't here…Take care of my sister," He extended his hand.

"You have my word," Bolverk shook his hand.

"Alright, let's get this sappy crap over with…Send me back," Dagur groaned after he and Bolverk separated hands. Heather hugged him tightly before he let go.

"Outcast Island, one-way portal transport," Bolverk held his hand out as there was a flash of green to his eyes, then a black blast. The blast expanded to an oval with a swirling purple and black color in the middle. The portal flashed and showing in the middle was the entrance gate to Outcast Island. "Step in, you'll go right to Outcast Island and past the barrier." Dagur stepped through and was inside, unable to cross back through. Bolverk closed the portal, lowering his hand.

"Well, this has been an eventful night," Valka stated.

"Should probably shut it down," Gobber agreed.

"That's up to the queen," Stoick reminded.

Astrid looked at Bolverk now. "It's up to Bolverk," Astrid informed. "This ball was set for him to join the court as my lord. Is that…Something you want to do, Bolverk? And if yes, are you okay with everything else that comes from becoming my lord? Are you ready for everything else? We don't have to rush, though. We can take it slower, push things back…" She mentioned.

Bolverk looked from her to the painting of them and smiled as he brought his eyes back to Astrid now and held her hand, bringing the back of it up and kissing it gently as he smiled to her. "As long as it's you I get to do it all with, Milady, I'm okay and ready for it all," Bolverk replied as Astrid blushed and then Bolverk hooked her chin to lift Astrid's chin up and capture her lips with his as everyone started to clap and cheer.

Bolverk and Astrid broke the kiss a few moments after when Stoick cleared his throat for them to stop and Valka smacked his arm and whispered for him to leave them alone. Bolverk and Astrid faced everyone. Gobber cleared his throat. "Queen Astrid of Archian Isle and Lord Bolverk of the Royal Court!" He announced, ensuring more cheering and clapping while Bolverk and Astrid were smiling at everyone, then sharing another kiss. "Tell me we still get to party?" Gobber leaned towards the lovers.

"Alright, alright…First proclamation as lord of the court…" Bolverk paused as most laughed. "I say we party until we drop!" And with a loud cheer of excitement and agreement. "Shall we lead it off?" He asked.

"Ready," Astrid nodded as she looked to the DJ to go ahead and he started the music. "Looking back at yesterday, I thought I gave it everything, but still there's so much road ahead of me," She started.

"When I looked into your eyes, I guess I didn't recognize who we are and all that we can be," Bolverk continued after her.

The two started moving in a circle, looking at one another as others picked up to start doing the same. "Sometimes it's hard to find yourself, but it's worth it in the end. 'Cause in your heart is where it all begins..." Astrid and Bolverk sang together.

"We gotta be bold. We gotta be brave. We gotta be free! We gotta get loud. Making that change, you gotta believe. Whoa-oh! We'll look deep inside, and we'll rise up and shine. We can be bold. We can be brave. Let everyone see...It starts with you and me. Whoa, whoa! Hey! It starts with you and me. Whoa, whoa! Hey! It starts with you and me," Bolverk and Astrid sang with their friends, everyone all dancing together in perfect time.

Bolverk broke away with Heather, Olivia, Soren, Heather, and Eret as they looked forward to Outcast Island. "There's something special that I've learned. It's together we can change the world. Everybody's got something that they can bring..." Eret, Olivia, and Soren sang on their own.

"When you take a look inside yourself, do you wish that you were something else? But who you are is who you need to be," Bolverk and Heather sang together as Heather had her head on Bolverk's shoulder. The five moved back in to start up with everyone else again. "Sometimes it's hard to find yourself, but it's worth it in the end. 'Cause in your heart is where it all begins..." Heather and Bolverk continued first.

Whoa, whoa! Hey! It starts with you and me," They all sang, still dancing.

Now, those dancing moved to be on the stairs, lining up for what appeared to be a big finish. Astrid and Heather were at the bottom as the others grouped up behind them. "If we all can do our part, we know that it can be the start, to bring about the difference that we need. Yeah!" Bolverk came between the two of them, he took Astrid's hand first, and then Heather offered hers to him as Bolverk took it.

"I promise we can work this out. I promise we can see it through. Don't you know it's up to me...It's up to me and you!" All of them sang, rushing off the stairs and jumping into place to continue.

Whoa, whoa! Hey!" Astrid jump at Bolverk, who caught her with ease by the hips, holding her up, and twirled her around, arms up like she was flying. Bolverk set her down carefully. Everyone sang, smiling, and loving it. Bolverk and Astrid made it back up the stairs near Stoick, Valka, and Gobber. "It starts with you and me. Whoa, whoa, hey! It starts with you and me. Whoa, whoa, hey!" Astrid held Bolverk's hand, slipping the ring back on his finger as they shared a kiss. "It starts with you and me!" Bolverk and Astrid faced everyone as they ended the song in a bow to them, so they smiled and waved as the music changed and the night continued on in joyful celebration.

. . .

(9:00 pm)

(Outcast Island)

Dagur stood at the island's entrance, watching everything over on Archian Island with a smirk. "What? You didn't think this was the end of the story, did you?" Dagur asked before chuckling and walking back into the shadows.
