Ok the last two chapters haven't been as well received as I expected and its baffling to me. Maybe the greater focus on Team Rocket in the summary is putting people off.
Ok, so we finally get to Lavender Town in this chapter, where Ash will face off against Team Rocket once again. I have to say that a major inspiration for this chapter was from the Pokémon Origins shows. Though there will be major differences between the show and this chapter.
We will also meet a fan favorite character in the chapter, who will give Ash his Dark type Pokémon. Also speaking of Ash's future pokémon, I would like to thank the people who suggested pokémon for Ash to catch.
While all of the suggestions were very good, I can unfortunately only choose one or two. Ash already has 7 pokémon, with two more upcoming. I want to restrict Ash to less than 15 pokémon, otherwise it will become very hard to keep track of them all.
Rock Tunnel, 5 days later
Ash had in a rut for the past few days. After being humiliated by the effortless beatdown that Zapdos had given his team, Ash had become obsessed with training.
Even Ash's pokémon shared the same drive that he had to become stronger as fast as possible. Ash had made a few major changes in his normal routine to optimize it.
Before the change, Ash typically spent about 6 hours every day walking to the next destination and the rest was divided between training, sleeping and relaxation. After the change, Ash had stopped walking to his destination and now almost always travelled using his Rotom Bike.
The bike allowed him to cut down massively on the travelling time while achieving the same distance as before. Ash had even made this travelling time productive, releasing Bugs and Luxio to accompany him during the journey.
It provided Bugs with a way to work on improving his speed and provided the much needed exercise that his species usually required.
Ash had also decided to keep Kadabra on his team at all times, to provide with a method of escape from any dangerous situation. No one could say that Ash hadn't learnt his lesson after the Power Plant incident.
He had also decided to get the TM for Teleport from the Celadon Department Store so that he could teach it to Clefairy. Lucario tried to tell Ash that he was being a little too paranoid, that the situation with Zapdos wouldn't be a common occurrence and to take it a little easy but Ash had chosen to ignore it.
Ash had also asked Lucario to prioritize teaching him the Aura Shield move, seeing that it had come in handy against Zapdos. Lucario had gladly acquiesced to this request and Ash had spent nearly all of his training and free time working on it. Although he hadn't mastered it yet, he had made a lot of progress in such a short time.
Speaking of progress, Bugs had made a lot of it in the past week. The regular warm up run every day combined with even more intense training had resulted him in evolving from Scorbunny into Raboot.
He had also learnt the move Flame Charge during one of his runs, generating a lot of fire from his feet due to the extra effort he was putting it, which enveloped him completely leading him to learn the move accidentally.
Luxio had also improved her reaction speed due to the run, enabling her to learn the move Volt Switch. Volt Switch was a curious move, the move functioned by the pokémon performing a high speed weaker Wild Charge while switching itself with another pokémon from the trainer's team.
Luxio was also on the verge of evolving into Luxray, as evidenced by her darkening and elongating fur. She most probably just needed a push to kickstart her evolution.
Saur, who had been in a funk after his failure to successfully hit Zapdos with Sleep powder had worked almost solely on learning the move Sweet Scent. Sweet Scent worked by the pokémon releasing a sweet odour that distracted the opposing pokémon making it easier to hit.
Checking the map on his Rotom Phone, Ash estimated that he was only about a few hours away the exit of Rock Tunnel.
Ash was going to skip training tomorrow and focus on travelling to get out of the cave as soon as possible. He was missing sunlight and he just wanted to get out this dark cave as soon as he could.
Lavender Town, Next Day
Walking out of Rock Tunnel, Ash let out an exaggerated sigh of relief, eliciting a giggle from Rio and a faint smile from Lucario. He started walking towards the town, which was just a short distance away from the exit.
Walking into the town, he was surprised to find that it was kind of empty. But he supposed that as the town was considered as the home of Ghost and Departed pokémon, it was expected for it be feel like a "Ghost Town." The phrase had actually originated from cliches about Lavender Town.
Walking into the pokémon center, he greeted Nurse Joy and asked her to heal up his pokémon. He walked to the Videophone, to call up Professor Oak.
While he could have called the Professor from his Rotom Phone, there had been no cell service inside Rock Tunnel and the Videophones generally had higher quality video and audio and they were free to use unlike his cell plan.
Calling up the Oak Ranch, he wasn't surprised to see the Prof's back in front of him. Prof Oak had struggled with camera placement for as long as he could remember. Having multiple different computers made it hard to remember which computer was the one dedicated for calls.
"Prof Oak, turn around please. I can only see your back," said a smiling Ash. Prof Oak turned around while blushing at his mistake.
"Wow, Ash you certainly look very different now. What inspired the change in your outfit?" asked a curious Prof Oak. Ash remembered that he had forgotten to inform Prof Oak about being an Aura Guardian in training and about Lucario being his master.
Remembering that Prof Oak also used to be a Chosen One, Ash caught him up to speed about all that had happened to him since the SS Anne. Prof Oak's smiling face turned into a frown as Ash continued with his story, by the end he was as serious as Ash had ever seen him.
"Ash I was a Chosen One once, but my role was a short one as compared to some others. This duty is both a blessing and a curse. It will give you strength and gifts beyond measure, but you will also face a journey fraught with danger. Eventually, the duties wore me down so much that I quit as a pokémon trainer as soon as I was allowed to. I still loved pokémon, but I was just sick of pokémon battling" explained a concerned Prof Oak.
Ash was shocked to hear Prof Oak so serious and tired. His story made a lot of sense to Ash, who had always wondered why Oak had quit as the pokémon champion to become a researcher. He nodded slowly to show that he understood.
"Thank you, Prof Oak for telling me that. Its just that I don't know if I can do it or not. Zapdos just kicked my ass, and I don't know how I can ever take on dangers that are able to stop such monstrously strong pokémon" confessed Ash.
"Don't worry, Ash you're just two months into your journey and so strong already. You are much stronger at this point than I was at this point in my own journey. And remember, you will have the tools needed to overcome all the challenges that you come across. I have the utmost faith that you will succeed no matter what the odds are" praised Prof Oak.
Ash was touched to hear that Prof Oak had such faith in him. Prof Oak had always been like a father figure to him, and it meant a lot to Ash to hear that he was proud of him.
Ash said his goodbyes to Prof Oak and hung up the phone with a smile on his face. Since Nurse Joy wasn't finished with healing his pokémon, Ash decided to go check out the pokémon orphanage in the city.
Pokémon Orphanage was a novel concept that had pioneered by Dr Fuji, who had come to be known as the "Friend of Pokémon" for all of his efforts in helping pokémon. Ash was curious about how the orphanage functioned and wanted to check it out.
While he generally wouldn't go anywhere without his pokémon, Lucario was always present, and Ash felt very safe with him there. Plus, there wouldn't be much need for protection inside an orphanage, right?
According to the map the orphanage was located nearly a kilometre away from the city proper and once Ash reached there, he could see why. The orphanage was a massive one, with a big garden, pond and other amenities present within it.
Even with the cheaper property rates that were common in this area, the property seemed to be extremely expensive. Ash had a growing respect for Dr Fuji who had invested what seemed like a ginormous amount of money to care for abandoned pokémon, with no apparent benefit to himself.
He walked into the orphanage, enjoying the buzz of the pokémon roaming all around the place. Though the pokémon shied away from Ash when he got close to anyone of them, which he supposed was to be expected.
He knocked on the door and waited for someone to open it. The door opened with a preteen girl looking hopefully at first and then becoming disappointed when she saw him.
"Hello, I'm Ash Ketchum and I would like to meet Dr. Fuji, if he's available" politely asked Ash. The girl let out a gasp when she heard his name and dragged him into the house.
"What's going on? And where are you dragging me to?" asked a confused Ash. He looked back to Lucario, if he had any clue as to what was happening, but he was similarly stumped.
The girl dragged him into what appeared to be the Main Hall of the Orphanage, where a tall green haired man was standing, with a couple of kids and a Cubone surrounding him.
"Hey, can someone please explain to me what is going on here?" asked a now frustrated Ash.
"Mr. N, I brought him here because he's Ash Ketchum, the hero of the SS Anne. I think he can help us with our problem" explained the girl.
Ash was not surprised to see that his name caused surprise in all of the occupants of the room, that had been people's reaction of meeting him ever since the SS Anne.
The now christened N got over his surprised and moved towards him extending his hand for a handshake. Ash shook his name and they introduced themselves.
After the introduction Ash asked, "Why do you guys need my help and where is Dr. Fuji?"
N seemed to ponder his question before answering, "Well the problem we need help with is related where Dr. Fuji is."
"The story actually began a few days ago. Dr. Fuji had contacted me to talk to Cubone and figure what was bothering him. After finding out that Team Rocket was the problem, he went off to try and confront them alone" explained N.
"I'm sorry, talk to Cubone. How?" asked a befuddled Ash. N then explained in detail about what was going to catch Ash up to speed.
As Ash understood it, Dr. Fuji had found Cubone three weeks who was extremely withdrawn and traumatized, even more than was common for their species. After trying unsuccessfully for a week to get Cubone to open up, Dr. Fuji had called N.
N, whose real name was Natural Harmonia Gropius, was a pokémon psychiatrist. He was especially skilled at this job because he had the miraculous ability of being able to talk to pokémon. The knowledge that someone could talk to pokémon had blown Ash's mind when he heard about it.
N had figured out why Cubone was so traumatised after talking to him and regaining his trust. Apparently, Cubone's mother had been killed by Team Rocket in front of him and he had run away from there, leading Dr. Fuji to find him.
After finding out that Team Rocket had set up their base in Lavender City and that they had killed Cubone's mother, he went after them alone.
N and the others were assuming that he had been captured by them and were figuring out how to free him and stop them. Ash was reluctant about getting involved, but one look from Lucario and Ash knew that he had to do it.
"So how should we take down Team Rocket then. Are you a pokémon trainer N?" asked Ash. N replied that he was and released his team to show Ash what their strength was.
Ash was impressed by how strong N was, even though he wasn't focused on pokémon battling. N's pokémon were only a little weaker than his and he could give Ash a real challenge if he wanted.
They deliberated over what to do for a while, the problem being their lack of knowledge about what Team Rocket was doing and where their base was set up. They decided that their likeliest course of action would be to tackle both the Pokémon Tower and the Kanto Radio Tower.
Ash and N immediately set out to visit the Pokémon Centre to pick up Ash's pokémon. The kids stayed behind to take care of the orphanage because they were too young and none of them were trainers.
Ash and N started chatting, trying to get to know a little bit about each other. This was necessary to create trust in one another, essential for working successfully as a team.
N had some truly thought provoking insights about the relationship between pokémon and humans. He believed that pokémon shouldn't be forced to be with humans and he was advocating for a major separation between pokémon and humans.
While Ash agreed with him on his point that pokémon that shouldn't be treated as tools or abused, he disagreed with N's goals of making that happen. They both had a rather lively debate about this topic while they were collecting Ash's pokémon.
After they had collected Ash's pokémon, Ash exchanged Bugs for Trapinch. He needed all the firepower he could get right now, and Bugs was his second weakest pokémon.
Both he and N set for the pokémon tower, because it would be dangerous to tackle after sundown. An eerie and ghost infested place, the tower was dangerous during the day when few ghosts were active, during night it would be foolhardy to step foot in there.
Pokémon Tower, 3 hours later
After nearly three hours, they had finally made it to the top, being constantly bothered by mischievous and malicious pokémon and the ever-present channelers who wanted to battle.
Coming to the base of the stairs for the final level, they both took a minute to heal up their pokémon and prepare themselves. Ash hoped that Team Rocket wasn't present upstairs but then he would feel disappointed for wasting so much time while Dr. Fuji could be suffering.
They walked through the stairs slowly, prepared for an attack with their ace pokémon by their side. N walked ahead, taking the lead due to his greater experience and maturity.
They walked into the floor, where Team Rocket members where setting up some sort of machine. Ash and N slowly made their way to the front, walking quietly to avoid making any noise.
As they got closer, even their best attempt to be sneaky failed and the Team Rocket members noticed them. As Ash looked over their faces, he suddenly remembered that he had tangled with them before.
"You again boy? When are you going to stop getting in our way?" said the blonde-haired woman. The green haired scowled at him, rubbing his head, no doubt touching the bump where Ash had smacked him.
"We're here to take you down Team Rocket. Considering I defeated you losers on the first day of my journey, I will annihilate you now. Why don't you just give up and spare me the two minutes it will take me to whip your butts" confidently taunted Ash, trying to rile them up.
His taunt worked very well with the green haired man gnashing his teeth in anger. They both released all their pokémon at once and so did Ash and N.
They released a slew of powerful pokémon including Aggron, Cloyster, Tentacruel, Mightyena and some other weaker pokémon including the Raticate that knocked out Ash last time.
Ash silently communicated with Lucario and requested him to take on Aggron, who was the most dangerous threat present. Lucario and Rio started battling Aggron, Rio distracting Aggron so Lucario so could him with his powerful Aura Sphere.
N and his pokémon were taking on the Tentacruel and Cloyster, working together to defeat them. While his own pokémon were working against the weaker pokémon and Mightyena.
Saur was having a rematch against Raticate, using his vines to viciously bash it against the floor, no doubt still angry over his loss months ago. Luxio and Faye were working together against Mightyena, with Luxio fighting head on with the pokémon while Faye pelted it with her sacred voices.
Ash meanwhile was having his own battle, against Butch and Cassidy. He was fighting them both using his staff, like Lucario had been teaching him.
Knocking out Butch with a rather nasty blow to the head, he started battling with Cassidy. Recoiling from her punch, he pounded her strongly with his staff, sending her on the ground.
He restrained her hands with his hands while she was struggling and called over Saur to restrain her using his vines. He turned around to see that the battle was over.
All of Team Rocket's pokémon had been knocked out, some being hurt more than necessary, which he suspected that his pokémon were responsible for doing.
"Hey, what should we do N? I doubt that she is going to cooperate with us easily" asked Ash.
N smiled and called over his Sigilyph and commanded him "Sig, use hypnosis on her and get her to cooperate." Ash found it a little suspect that N already knew how to command one of his pokémon to get the truth out of someone, but he let it go for now.
After a few seconds Sighilyph had managed to successfully hypnotise the woman, stopping her struggles as Saur let her free from the vines.
"We will ask you questions, and you will answer truthfully" said N forcefully. He then motioned for Ash to take the lead, taking the opportunity to analyse Ash.
"What is Team Rocket doing here in Lavender Town. What are you and your partner trying to achieve in the Pokémon Tower" asked Ash, trying to be specific so as to not allow her to lie or mislead them.
She stayed silent for a second, most probably trying to figure out a way to circumvent the order but failed. "Team Rocket is here to capture the Kanto Radio Tower. My team was sent here to try and capture as many ghost pokémon as we could."
"What is Team Rocket's goal after capturing the Kanto Radio Tower" asked Ash.
"I don't know that. Only Admin Archer is privy to those plans" said Cassidy in a frustrated voice.
Ash turned back to N, who was thinking hard and asked him "What should we do now? Since, Dr. Fuji isn't here, he's probably being held by Team Rocket at the Radio Tower."
"We have to stop them at the Radio Tower Ash. We can't let them control all Radio communications in the region" passionately said N.
Hearing N, Ash suddenly understood Team Rocket's plans. The Radio Tower was the primary hub of communications for the whole of Kanto and Team Rocket controlling it would be a disaster.
"What should we do with these two? Can we just leave them here?" asked Ash. N smiled and called over Sighilyph and asked her to put them into a deep sleep.
Ash was still conflicted over just leaving them here defenceless against the horde of malicious ghost pokémon that inhabited this tower, but he supposed it was retributions for their heinous crimes.
Kanto Radio Tower, Half an hour later
Ash and N had used Kadabra's Teleport to reach the pokémon centre in a hurry. They were on a timer, and they couldn't waste time going through the Tower again. After healing their pokémon, they reached the Kanto Radio Tower.
They had even stripped Butch of his clothes because they needed to get into the Tower unharassed by Team Rocket. They were conflicted over who should wear it though.
"Thankfully, I have a solution for this problem. Zorua here has the ability Illusion, and it will help disguise me, while you can wear the costume" said N triumphantly while releasing his Zorua.
He put Zorua on his shoulder while Ash went into a corner to change into the Team Rocket costume. Ash would have preferred doing it inside a building, but he couldn't just walk around pretending to be a Team Rocket grunt, without consequences.
Though there wasn't a police station in Lavender Town, due to its small size and relative peacefulness, it would be a very bad look if someone caught him in a Team Rocket uniform.
When he got back to N, he saw that N had disguised as Cassidy, hopefully to fool Team Rocket members.
They both entered the Radio Tower, hoping that no one would stop them. N was walking in front, due to him disguised as Cassidy. Ash looked at the receptionist, who was looking really scared.
They stopped at the guard blocking the entrance to the steps. N stepped forward and said "Move aside grunt, I have important business with Admin Archer"
The grunt looked bored, not even bothering to look carefully at either Ash or N, stepping aside easily to let them through the stairs.
Ash and N made their way through the building, walking slowly to assess their surroundings. Ash was very surprised to see Prof Oak in being held captive in one of the rooms. He wanted to let Prof know that he was here but that would blow his cover.
He was confused at first about what Prof Oak was doing here but then he remembered that Prof Oak was the host of his own radio show called the "Professor Oak's Pokémon Talk".
While the name wasn't very original, the show itself was very popular among Pokémon trainers. Prof Oak gave out excellent advice about Pokémon training on the show, he even had successful pokémon trainers appear on the show, to hear more about their training strategies and philosophies.
They made their way up the Tower to the top, where Archer was located. Ash was a little apprehensive with the number of grunts that were present in the Tower.
He estimated that were nearly a hundred grunts in the tower. Though more than half of those were scientists and other such technical staff, likely needed to operate the tower.
They reached the top of the tower, a huge glass observatory, where Archer was observing the view below him.
Walking into the tower N and Ash stopped before Archer and N asked him, "Butch is finishing capturing the strong pokémon from the Tower, boss. What should we do next?"
Archer turned around on hearing that and looked suspiciously on hearing N's question. He scrutinised Ash and suddenly started releasing his pokémon.
"You thought you could fool me, boy. We're very familiar with your face down at HQ and boss will be very happy to hear that I captured you" said a smiling Archer while looking at Ash.
N told Zorua to let go of his illusion and started releasing all of his pokémon while Ash did the same. Unfortunately, Lucario wasn't here because there to no way to disguise him or to bring him here inconspicuously. So, Ash was lacking the strongest ally he had and it worried him a little.
Archer released his team and although he only had six pokémon, Ash could tell that his pokémon were a cut above his and N's in strength.
Ash and N stayed behind to command their pokémon unlike in the Tower, where Ash was battling Cassidy because their pokémon would need their help to defeat Archer's pokémon.
The ensuing battle was an explosive and fast paced one. Ash tried his best to help command his pokémon but soon realised that it was hopeless and that he would just need to trust them.
Ash and N were hiding behind the Aura Shield that Ash had conjured. There were dangerous attacks that were flying all over the observatory and there was a real danger of them getting hurt.
As the battle started to die down, Ash saw that only Saur, Luxio and Zorua were left standing against Archer's Magmar and Weezing. He started commanding his pokémon and they were just about to knock out the Weezing when suddenly it self-destructed.
Ash covered his eyes from the light of the explosion and saw that only Archer's Magmar and his Luxio were left standing. Unfortunately, neither one of them was in good shape.
Ash started cheering on Luxio saying "C'mon Luxio, you can do it. Beat that Magmar and prove that you are the best" trying to get her motivated. Losing against Magmar would have disastrous consequences for him and N.
Just Magmar landed a Fire Punch on Luxio and it seemed like she was on the verge of being knocked out that she let out a deafening roar and let out a bright light that filled the room.
Ash opened his eyes again to see that Luxio had evolved into Luxray, he let out a cheer and started yelling out encouragement again.
Luxray managed to knock out Magmar with a spark, prompting Ash to yell with happiness and go hug her. After hugging her, Ash stepped forward to face Archer.
"What is Team Rocket doing here Archer?" said Ash, while turning slightly towards Luxray to make his threat clear to Archer.
"HaHaHa, boy you do have some real guts. More than your father had any way. But you don't have enough guts to actually follow through with your threat" said Archer, calling Ash's bluff.
Ash knew that he his bluff was called, since he couldn't actually go through with torturing Archer. He turned back to N, who had anticipated this situation and was reviving his Sighilyph right now.
After N had managed to restore Sighilyph's health and energy to an acceptable level, N ordered him to hypnotise Archer while holding steady with Psychic. Ash was impressed that Sighilyph could manage to use two such complicated simultaneously.
After Sighilyph had managed to hypnotise Archer, which Ash noted took much longer that it had taken against Cassidy, meaning that Archer either had latent psychic powers or had training resisting such psychic interrogations. Ash had his money on the second.
"What is Team Rocket's goal here, Archer and who is your boss?" asked Ash.
Archer looked conflicted before replying, "Team Rocket's goal is to capture this tower to cut off the League communications and cripple their response ability when we launch our attack over Kanto."
However, after explaining Team Rocket's plan, Archer just fell silent, not saying anything further. Ash looked confused about what happened but N seeing Ash's confused face started explaining.
"It's very likely that the Boss had a strong Psychic pokémon lock the information about his identity within Archer's subconsciousness. There is no way to extract that information from his brain, except trying to penetrate his mind using our own psychic pokémon. Though that would most likely destroy his brain, making him a vegetable" explained N.
Ash considered that option but discarded it, knowing that he wouldn't be able to go through with it. However, now they were faced with a new problem. How to remove Team Rocket from this tower?
Suddenly Ash had a stroke of genius. He told N his plan who proceeded to downstairs to execute it while Ash stayed upstairs to keep an eye on Archer.
Lavender Pokémon Orphanage, Next Day
They had managed to defeat Team Rocket yesterday because of Ash's plan. Ash had asked N to disguise himself as Cassidy again and order a grunt to bring Prof Oak to the observatory.
After Prof Oak had come to the top, he had been surprised to see Ash in a Team Rocket. He calmed down after Ash had explained the situation to him. He had then used Ash's Kadabra to teleport back to the Lavender Pokémon Centre.
After reaching the Centre, he then used his contacts in the League to alert them that Team Rocket had taken over the Kanto Radio Tower. The G Men had then shown up and liberated the Tower from the clutches of Team Rocket.
After the liberation, Ash and N had been given a reprimand about not alerting the League when they found out about Team Rocket's plan but they had let them go. They had even found Dr. Fuji, held in one of the locked rooms.
Dr. Fuji had thanked both him and N for their help in freeing him and defeating Team Rocket, He had asked both of them to come to the orphanage tomorrow because he wanted to thank them personally.
Ash had shown up at the mansion, curious about what Dr. Fuji would give him. He knocked at the door, which was opened by Dr. Fuji who invited him in.
He entered in the house, walking to the Main Hall, where he saw that N had already reached here. Dr. Fuji then asked them to come with him, leading them what seemed like his study.
He then opened the big safe that was present inside the wall.
He took the big box that was inside the wall and put it on his side. He opened it, standing in front of Ash and N, blocking their view of what was inside the box. He took something from the box and turned towards Ash and N.
"Ash, could you step in front please. This is a Key Stone, which will allow you to mega evolve pokémon, whose mega stone you have. I want both of you to have one" explained Dr. Fuji, while handing Ash his Key Stone.
"Unfortunately, I don't have any mega stones, so those you will have to acquire yourselves. But, the Key Stone is a powerful item regardless and I want you to take good care of it" warned Dr. Fuji, while handing N his Key Stone.
Ash looked at his Key Stone with wonder. Key Stones were ridiculously sought after items. They were so in demand that, some people would give their right hand for one. Ash then thanked Dr. Fuji happily.
After talking with Dr. Fuji and the kids for a while, Ash made to leave the house when N asked him to talk in private. He then walked with N to a more private location where N let out his Zorua.
"Ash you are a great pokémon trainer and a courageous person. Zorua here loves battling but as you know, I not much of a battler so I want you to take care him and I hope that he will be able to help in your journey" said N with a sad smile, handing Ash Zorua's pokéball.
"Thank you N for all of your help. I couldn't have taken Team Rocket down without your help and I'm really grateful. And I promise that I'm going to take great care of Zorua here" sincerely said Ash.
As N watched Ash and Lucario walk back towards the Pokémon Centre, he knew that Ash had a great destiny in front of him. He was looking forward to the day when he could truly battle Ash as the Hero of Truth.
Ok so that ends this chapter and I have to say that I'm exhausted. I finished half of this chapter in under two hours, so I had to rush a little bit.
You guys must be wondering why I didn't release a chapter on Friday and that is because the exam season is staring in earnest and I have to focus. So sadly, the release of the chapters will slow down a little.
Congrats to the ones who managed to successfully managed to guess that Zorua would be the pokémon that Ash would get. I wager that no expected N to show up though. I had planned on using him for this chapter, back when I was planning out the plotline of this story.
Just to clarify, this is another change from the anime. Ash is now the Hero of Truth instead of the Hero of Ideals, showcasing the differences between him and canon Ash.
This chapter has been the longest one of this story and I want to know what you guys think about it. Do I need to work on shorter chapters like the last one or you want longer chapters like this one?
