2001
It had been around six months since Jindrax and Toxica had quit their job. They decided to move to the quiet little city called Turtle Cove. The jobs they got were animal control employees picking up stray dogs and cats wandering in the streets. Though the job did not pay as much as their previous job, they were working for themselves which they liked since they did not have a boss that complained and chewed them out if something went wrong.
Toxica was driving the animal control truck as Jindrax was sitting in the passenger side looking over some paperwork.
"How much longer?" The male org said.
"Coming up right now," Toxica turned the wheel that allowed the truck to turn to the right.
The truck stopped at a parking lot where they were told to pick up some stray dogs that had been wandering around the area.
Both got out of and grabbed some equipment to pick up the strays if the found them.
"I don't know why we had to come here anyway," Jindrax grumbled.
"Silver Hills isn't that far away from Turtle Cove Jindrax," Toxica stated. So it's not like we can't make it to here to do a job.
"Yea, but how come Silver Hills can't do this? Don't they have their own animal control?
Toxica nodded. "Yes, but according to the city, Silver Hills doesn't have any more rooms for their strays, so they've contracted us to do the job."
Before they could do anything else, someone shouted "look out" in the distance.
A loud explosion erupted which case Toxica and Jindrax to be thrown to each side of the parking lot. As they regained their composure, they saw six rangers make their way by them along with a monster.
"Ransik picked a good monster today," Katie the yellow ranger said.
Trip groaned. "Don't even try to encourage the situation, Katie. This monster is getting on my last nerves."
"Rangers!" The monster had stopped and turned to the six time force rangers. "You will now know what it means to be defeated."
"Don't count on it!" Jen, the pink ranger said. She was holding a chrono blaster and pointed it at the monster. "Come quietly and this will be all over."
"Do you really believe I'm going to just give myself up?" The monster growled. "Think again."
Cyclobots suddenly appeared right next to the monster. Toxica and Jindrax noticed it as they had decided to run behind their truck and hid to let the time force rangers to their jobs.
The monster looked at the cyclobots and laughed with delight. "Get em' robots!"
Eric Myers, the quantum ranger, grumbled. "The time I decided to join you all in this little adventure, and here we are taking down cyclobots."
"Better than cyclobots taking down all of us," Wes, the red ranger said. "Alright guys, let's do this!"
All six rangers rushed in and starting taking down the cyclobots one by one. Jindrax and Toxica looked on as the rangers were taking down the robots. Finally with the robots gone, the six rangers turned their attention to the monster.
"Give up yet?" Jen retorted.
"Never!" The monster hissed.
"Chrono blasters guys!" Wes ordered. All five rangers got their respective guns and pointed at the monster. Even Eric pulled his out.
"Ready?" Jen called out. "Fire!"
Six blaster beams fired on the respective monster. The monster blew up within a matter of seconds.
"Now that was easy," Luccas, the blue ranger said.
"Power down!' Wes ordered. All six rangers powered down and were back to civilian clothing.
"Thanks for helping out, Eric," Lucas said.
"Yea, I don't think we would have gotten that monster without your help," Trip added.
Eric Myers had a scornful look within himself. "Don't thank me, this wasn't my idea and I was about to not show up today. We're not a team. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go back to my car which is several neighborhoods down and head back to headquarters."
The five rangers looked at Eric leaving the scene.
Katie shook her head at the man leaving the scene. "When is he going to get over himself. We're supposed to be rangers working together."
Wes decided to not think any more on the matter as he turned his attention towards Jindrax and Toxica. "You guys okay?"
The two stumbled somewhat walking close by.
"Yea, we're fine," Toxica answered.
Suddenly Jindrax put his hands around his head and somewhat winced with pain. Toxica placed a hand around him.
"Ouch!" Jindrax said.
By then the other rangers looked at the man. Toxica also looked at her friend and noticed he was sweating a little.
Trip started to walk over to the two. "Here, we can call you a cab and have you taken to the hospital."
"No!" There was a sharp rise in Jindrax's voice but then calmed back down. "That won't be necessary."
Suddenly Toxica's head started to wince with pain as well. She grabbed the sides of her head.
"Look, we can take you to a hospital if need be," Trip was getting a little more concerned.
The pain had subsided for the both of them. They regained their composure.
"Uh no, we're good. Really," Jindrax said.
The rangers shrugged their shoulders, decided to leave the two alone, and leave the area. As they did, Toxica held Jindrax.
"What is going on?" Toxica questioned.
Suddenly Jindrax fell to the ground with even more pain. He started to grow a small horn on his forward. Toxica followed right after, fell to the ground with pain, and felt a horn growing on her forehead.
The pain the subsided and whatever horn was growing on their forehead had now disappeared.
"Wha, what happened?" Toxica was confused. What did all of this mean?
Jindrax looked at his friend. "Master Org is coming back. Toxica, our master is coming back! And it looks like he'll be here in another month."
"We must get back to Turtle Cove," Toxica suggested. "He'll be in that area."
