Never Alone
Time: During Chapter 3
Flynn frowned as he left Cafe Florida. Even after his meal he hardly felt satisfied. Though, he didn't want to completely deplete his funds on nourishment. He wondered if the symbiote was affecting his appetite somehow.
"Then, we can just have takeout. There's free food everywhere.", the symbiote said in his mind.
"What do you mean? Takeout?", Flynn questioned, not aware of the concept.
Flynn felt his body being turned by the black suit to face the demons that litter the streets.
"There. There. And there. It's like a buffet. I can just gobble up on some of them and we'll both be full. You don't even have to consume them yourself like before.", the symbiote said, a tendril came out of his uniform pointing at the demons.
"That feels strange though…relying on loaning of the faculty of eating to this demon…", Flynn thought, however his stomach growled making him groan.
Human food wouldn't be enough for the both of them though…but the idea of letting a demon do it for him entirely. He wasn't sure. Despite his inhibitions he found himself slaying the demons so the symbiote could devour them. He felt much more full now, but it was still odd. He couldn't fill his stomach himself.
"You don't need to worry about that. We will soon be one anyway.", the symbiote assured him.
He supposes that's true, but even still there was a part of him vehemently against the idea. He'll just have to live with it if they'll be one. Still…does he really want that? Does he really want to rely on the symbiote to do such basic things for him? Like this he is forced to rely on it. Since, he's forced to rely on it and could easily abuse it to control him…
To be continued…
