Back over on Avalor, the barrier was under attack by a herd of beasts that were a mix of animals with black and white swirled fur or scales.
"If this keeps going on, the barrier won't be able to last much longer," said Mateo who was trying to do his best to keep the spell going but was starting to run out of magical energy.
"We really could use a miracle right about now," said a worried Elena. The next thing any of them knew, there was a flash of light that appeared inside the barrier near them.
"Now what?!" asked Isabel while shielding her eyes.
"This does not look good," said Sofia as she and Zalasar appeared from the light to see the herd of monsters outside the barrier.
"Sofia, what are you doing here, and what's with the new look?" asked a surprised Elena.
"It's a long story, but the two of us are here to help," said Sofia.
"This barrier is pretty well built to be able to hold the Lunar Army off, especially when they have a power boost," said Zalasar as he examined it.
"You know what these things are?" asked Skylar.
"Of course, I was the one who sealed them away in the first place, but it looks like the power of the Sundrop mutated them seeing as they didn't have the white parts the last time I saw them," said Zalasar.
"Wait, are you saying that you're the wizard Zalasar?" asked Naomi.
"That's exactly who he is," came a voice from outside the barrier along with Earth shaking stomping.
"General Ray," said Zalasar while watching the Lunar Army move so a tall humanoid could approach the barrier. General Ray's skin was as black as night with blood red eyes and long lanky arms which went into hands that had three razor sharp claws on each walked toward the barrier. He also had large white swirls in his skin, making him look like a spiraling black hole.
"I should have realized you would survive all these years; after all, you are the only member of the Lunar Army with a brain like a human," said the wizard.
"And do you know what I've thought about all this time?" asked General Ray.
"Getting my revenge on you!" said General Ray as he charged at the barrier where he slammed his claws right through and began to tear a hole in it.
"That's not possible!" said Isabel and Mateo as General Ray kept increasing the size of the hole. However, he was stopped by a blast of magic that caused him to pull back and the barrier to reclose.
"You're not going to be hurting anyone today or ever again," said Sofia who was holding the amulet in its sword form while engulfed in magical flames.
