Hi besties enjoy this pride month story. It's a sequel to "Money Does Grow on Trees" and "Center of Attention" as well as the other Sunsabi fics but those are the main two referenced in this fic.

Kwan-Sun and Wasabi will always be one of my rarepair otps.

Wesley "Wasabi" Ginger woke up from a confusing dream, dazedly walking into the kitchen where his boyfriend Kwan-Sun was making breakfast. Well, he was pouring bowls of cereal for himself and Wesley's younger brother Khary, but that counted as breakfast.

"Morning, love, sleep okay?" Kwan-Sun asked, grabbing a third bowl so that Wasabi could have some breakfast as well.

"Er. No, not really," Wasabi admitted, reaching over and tousling Khary's hair.

"Oh yeah? Did you have bad dreams? Kwan-Sun asked as Khary ducked away and went looking for milk.

"Sort of? I had a confusing dream, at least."

"Do you want to talk about it?" Kwan-Sun asked.

"Mm, yeah, but it was really weird. I was dreaming that you and I like, got married, which isn't that weird, but the weird part was that mom and dad were at the wedding. And they were being supportive."

"That's not so weird," Khary said, "I have dreams where mom and dad don't hate us all the time. It's just that, a dream. Anyway, we're out of milk."

"Do you want to go shopping, dear?" Kwan-Sun asked, "It might take your mind off of the dream."

Wesley sighed, still a little distracted, and then nodded.

"Yeah, that sounds good babe. I'm gonna shower after breakfast and then we can go. Khary, you coming?"

"Yeah! I need more nail polish. Don't worry, I have my own money."

"Wasn't worried, bud," Wes said, "I'd be happy to buy you nail polish."

"That's why you're my favorite brother. Don't tell Damon."

Wasabi smiled and finished his cereal before heading to the shower.

Khary went to put his bowl in the dishwasher and saw Kwan-Sun looking at him conspiratorially.

"Khary, I need your help."

"Hm?"

"Go into your room, in your closet, behind your box of winter clothes. I stuck a bag there. Bring me the bag."

"You hid something in my room?" Khary asked, confused.

"Yes, now shh! Wes can't know about this, so go quietly."

Khary nodded and became a secret agent, sneaking into his own room to retrieve a prize. He came back, sneaking a glance at the contents and understanding the mission.

"You're going to propose to Wes!" Khary said in an excited whisper.

"Keep your voice down! Yes, I'm going to propose to Wes. I've been waiting for the right time to do it. He was pretty bummed out after your dad reached out and said he didn't completely approve of us. Those dreams just prove that it's really gotten to him. I just want to show him that our love is real, beyond what your parents and the press think."

Khary nodded eagerly, "That's such a good idea! And so romantic… When are you going to propose?"

"Today, at the grocery store."

Now Khary looked more than a little skeptical, "Look, Kwan-Sun, I know I don't tend to be the lord of romance but are you sure that a grocery store is the most appropriate setting for the most important moment of your life?"

"I'm sure. This grocery store is the first place where Wes and I really started talking about our future together. I know it's unconventional but that's where I want to pop the question. But you can't let Wes in on it, okay? I'm trusting you to not say a word."

"I'll be on my best behavior," Khary promised solemnly, inwardly squealing at how romantic all of this was. Though he wasn't personally interested in romance right now he couldn't help being excited for his big brother.

"Thank you. It means a lot to me that you're going to be there for this. You're an important part of our family."

Khary beamed and hugged Kwan-Sun for a moment before they heard the shower turn off in the other room.

"He'll be out soon," Kwan-Sun said, "So not a word of it, alright?"

Khary mimicked zipping his lips and busied himself with getting ready for a particularly important grocery trip.

Wes had no clue that anything was going on, too distracted by his thoughts of his dream from that morning. So he didn't notice the box-shaped lump in his boyfriend's pocket or the way that Khary was practically vibrating about a simple trip to the grocery store.

"Do you remember our first trip to the grocery store together?" Kwan-Sun asked.

"Of course I did. That was an important trip for us, huh?"

"Yeah, you opened up to me, and I promised you that we'd have a life together."

"Do you still believe that?" Wasabi asked, taking hold of Kwan-Sun's hand.

"I do. I can imagine us being together forever, even."

"You don't mean that," Wasabi said with a laugh, still clearly very shaken by his dream and the knowledge that his parents would never be supportive.

"Why wouldn't I mean that? Wesley, I love you. We have a life together, we're a little family, we have a house. I want to be with you for the rest of my life." They'd barely made it into aisle eleven and Kwan-Sun had wanted to wait until aisle seven, near the coffee, but he went ahead and went for it.

"Wesley Ginger, I know this is a little unorthodox, but, well I'm asking you to marry me at this grocery store." Kwan-Sun took the ring out of his pocket and knelt down, and Khary began snapping pictures.

Wes stood in stunned silence for a minute, staring down at Kwan-Sun.

"Is this for real?"

"It's real, baby. I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"

"Y-yes," Wasabi stammered, reaching down to help Kwan-Sun stand, still in a daze. Kwan-Sun threw his arms around Wesley.

"Wes, babe, we're getting married! You're going to be my husband."

"You promise this isn't a dream?" Wasabi asked, holding on tightly to Kwan-Sun.

"This isn't a dream," Kwan-Sun promised.

"I love you so much… I'm going to be your husband… You're going to be my husband. We're getting married!" Wasabi lowered his voice after that, the full weight of the implications of the proposal hitting him, "We have to plan a wedding…"

"We'll get to that, baby, slow down. Let's take it one step at a time, okay? Let's just enjoy being engaged."

"Okay, I can do that."

"Show me the ring," Khary ordered, coming closer with his phone camera. Wes put on the ring and showed it off, still beaming, and Khary pretended to be a professional wedding photographer.

Finally, Wes had to put a stop to his little brother's theatrics, "Okay, okay, we can celebrate the engagement later, we do have a grocery list to attend to."

"That is the one downside of proposing in a grocery store, now we actually have to do the shopping," Kwan-Sun said with a laugh.

"But just think, last time we were here, you were shopping with your boyfriend, and now you're shopping with your fiance."

Kwan-Sun grinned and leaned over to kiss him.

"And one day, I'll be shopping with my husband."
