A new idea, if you like it or are interested in me continuing drop a review. Been trying to get back into writing… SO I thought I would start fresh before I work on my other stories. EDIT: So sorry I did not catch the insane way this downloaded, but we've got it fixed... And this is literally just a thought I had...So Im not sure if it will develop into something but since at least four of you even tried to read this when I first downloaded...I might give it a chance.

Hermione walked along the corridor briskly, the Scottish wind whipping her unruly curls around her head. She knew she didn't have long before she was discovered, and it was of the utmost importance that she not be hindered in anyway. It had been years since she had walked these halls, felt the stones beneath her feet, or breathed in the damp air of the highlands. She gripped the handle of her luggage and continued forward towards the headmistresses office. If she had been paying more attention she would have felt the odd tingle of magic that had begun to work its way up her body. Unfortunately there was only one thing on her mind, get to Minerva.. she had to know what was happening. There had to be a way to stop the inevitable.

Over the years Hermione had worked in many departments in the Ministry, she had so many magical interests that it only seemed logical for her to test the waters in each one to really find her niche. Currently she was with the department of mysteries. It was a month ago on a dig in Egypt that she had discovered something incredible. This information was so delicate that there was only one person in the wizarding world that she felt she could trust this information with. She had left immediately upon discovering it, in fact she still had the desert sand in her hair and on her clothes.

She was so consumed with thoughts of her discovery she still hadn't notice the sudden change in atmosphere, or how the portraits on the walls had begun to change ever so slightly. The air around her became static, it was only when she began to feel the sparks of electricity dance against her skin that she became aware of the magic building around her. Hermione stopped in her tracks, darting her eyes around frantically trying to find the source of this magic. It had to be coming from someone who knew ancient spells, because this felt otherworldly. But there was no one around, she was completely alone.

Hermione felt her heart begin to race, knowing she was trapped in some sort of magical occurrence without a foreseeable way to stop whatever was about to happen. The air started to feel heavy and thick, like a hot summer day. Just as Hermione reached for her wand, in the hopes of shielding herself from the inevitable, there was a loud POP! And the world turned black.
