The Alliance Bathhouse
Lena was told to go bath. Even though she protested many times. But Annette told her to go relax. Annette forced her bathing suit in her hands and rushed her out. It was vacation after all. She changed and then left her clothes in the basket. Lena brought a towel to the waterside when she got out. She did not expect anyone this late. She made her way to the far corner of the baths just in case though. She wanted to escape from the world for a moment.
As soon as she made the corner around the beautiful statue, she noticed someone there. She quickly turned only to lose her footing. She knew the fall would hurt, but she never hit the ground. She opened her eyes to see blood red eyes looking down at her. Shin...
He got her straightened and asked, "Lena are you okay?" She responded with a half okay response. She could not speak with him so close. He held her hand as she sank into the water to make sure she made it safely. He was blushing, and understandably so. He was looking everywhere but at her. She realized she was basically showing everything she had. She wondered though; I wonder how he would react to the Cicada. She could not think of him see her in that thing. At least they were alone, and she did not know if this was a good idea, or a bad one.
Shin was trying not to look at her. He had the same thought cross his mind. Us, alone can be good or bad right now…
"What are you doing here so late?" Lena asked Shin.
"I could ask you the same thing Lena." Of course, she could not tell him it was because of him. Shin could not tell her it was because of her either.
She smiled and spoke, "Annette told me that she wanted to get to bed early so she told me to come here." Shin was puzzled for a moment. He was wondering why Raiden was pushing him out of the room too. He said something along the same lines of going to bed early...They would not. But they did. Annette and Raiden and the others planned this meeting. To their amusement, it worked. Shin sighed and Lena looked at him with sad eyes. She did not want him to leave because of her. "I can move to the other side if you want time alone." She sounded sad, but he realized his sighed caused her sad look. Shin thought he wanted to be here alone, but that changed with Lena. "No, it's fine. I don't mind." He gave her a generous smile as he could. They were set up from the beginning and Lena did not catch on to it yet. If she had not said anything, Shin would not have figured it out.
"I am looking forward to tomorrow." Lena said with a smile. "I have been to so many parties, but this is different. I never liked the ones back in St. Magnolia. The unwanted attention only to have people talk behind my back was never fun." As she finishes the sentence, she was frowning. Looking back on how bad her people and country were, even to each other. White pig.
Shin looked at her with a sad smile, "You were at one when we had the fireworks weren't you?"
Lena looked up at him, "Yes I was. I hated it. When you Resonated with me, I was quite happy to talk to you then." She did not realize that would be the last night the squad would be fully intact. The attacks and death tolls began to rise and a month later, they were off.
Shin spoke up with some courage, "Lena..." He paused as she looked up. "Will you give me the privilege to go with you tomorrow?" He noticed Lena looked shocked at him. With a small smile, her bell like voice spoke quietly, "Yes."
After a few moments Shin rose out of the water. "I better head back. Tomorrow will be a long day. Do not stay too long. I do not want you to pass out in here with no one here. But I will give you some privacy." He smiled and waved a goodbye. She sat there a few more minutes, hearing no footsteps, just the water drip. She let out a nervous, "EEEKKK". She sank in the later and got up herself and went to attempt to sleep. She could not that night. Especially after seeing him so vividly. Not like Shin got any either after getting a more fulling look tonight.
