Chapter 1: Disciple of the Scorpion

In a time before quirks, there existed two rival ninja clans. The Lin Kuei from China and the Shirai Ryu from Japan. It all started when the Lin Kuei warrior, Takeda, betrayed the clan, escaping back to Japan and offering his services to the lords and generals of the region.

Sometime later, he started to teach a modified version of the Lin Kuei techniques and forming the Shirai Ryu clan.

The history between the Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu is written in blood. Assassinations of their respective Grandmasters, gigantic battles, even a point where the Lin Kuei wiped out the Shirai Ryu clan entirely thanks to some help.

But in modern time, both clans live in harmony, and dare I say, they became friends. Mostly because their Grandmasters, Hanzo Hasashi, the Scorpion of the Shirai Ryu, and Kuai Liang, the Second Sub-Zero of the Lin Kuei ended the blood feud of both clans.

But this story isn't about them. It is about one Izuku Midoriya, the disciple of the Scorpion.

*Shirai Ryu Fire Gardens*

Grandmaster Hanzo Hasashi (A/N: Hanzo Hasashi MK11) is meditating in middle of the Fire Gardens as he was being stalked in the shadows.

The hooded figure took out a chained kunai as his red eyes shined in the dark. He threw his weapon to the Grandmaster that without opening his eyes, caught the weapon and smirked "You have to try harder, Izuku."

Shurikens flew from the bush and Hanzo, using the kunai deflected them, before Izuku, in the Shirai Ryu ninja uniform as he took out a katana and Hanzo did too.

They clashed swords for a while, until Hanzo kicked him on the chest and pin him with it, as he pointed the tip of the blade to his neck. "Like I said, a little bit harder."

He got away from his fallen student, that pulled down his face mask pulled the hoodie back "I doubt that I am even close to touching you Master Hasashi." Izuku said as his red eyes with three tomoes spined.

His quirk, Sharingan, allows him to do, an absurd number of things. From allowing him to predict and copy his rival or objective, cast illusions if they make eye contact, hypnotize and according to the elders, more.

Hanzo smiled and offered him a hand "You have improved more than anyone. A feat that is even more surprising considering you are an outsider from the clan."

Izuku groaned as he accepted the hand and was lifted from the ground "I still wonder why Mother had to abandon me." He frowned and Hanzo gave him a small sad smile.

"Everything happens for a reason my apprentice. You will know when the time comes, but until then, you must be patient."

Izuku nodded and Hanzo patted his back "Now let's get ready. Kuai invited us both to Arctika. I would hate to make him wait."

Izuku smiled as they walked into the house. They changed into traditional Japanese robes, both of a yellow color as Rain (A/N: I know Rain is from Edenia and usually is a bad guy, but because I love him and the lack of Shirai Ryu clan members that are known, he is a member from the clan here.) Opened a portal made of water towards a lake in Arctika.

He nodded to them "Master Hasashi. Brat." he smirked seeing Izuku huff.

"How are you today, Prince?"

"Been alright so far. Say hello to Sub-Zero from my part."

"I will." Izuku said as he and Hanzo passed the portal and arrived to Arctika. The exact location is unknown, but it is somewhere near China's Everest part. The Lin Kuei warriors bowed their heads seeing them enter and Kuai Liang (A/N: Kuai Liang MK X) walked to them.

Kuai and Hanso shared a strong handshake "Hanso, welcome and thank you for accepting my invitation."

Hanso smiled and nodded "It is our pleasure. After all, we have an important announcement for my dear apprentice."

Izuku raised a brow but once Kuai turned to him, he bowed his head "Master Liang."

Kuai nodded "Izuku, I hope you had been training as hard as the last time I saw you."

Izuku smiled and nodded "I've been trying my best. May I ask, what's this announcement?"

Kuai smiled "Let's go for a tea. Follow me."

As they sat down and the tea was served Hanzo sighed relieved "You must hand me down the recipe one of these days, Kuai."

Kuai chuckled "One of these days we might trade recipes. But now," He turned to Izuku "We have a mission for you, Izuku."

Izuku raised an eyebrow "We? Like, Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu asking the same?"

Hanzo nodded "Yes. Remember when some heroes tried to inflitrate the gardens some months ago?"

Izuku nodded. He used his quirk to erase their memories of the location, while other members formatted their devices with the tracker. One day later, they destroyed the information in the HQ of those heroes.

Kuai nodded "Well, it happened something similar here. They tried to capture some of the clan members, but fortunately we captured the heroes and managed to make them disappear. With that reason, you are going to infiltrate the hero course in UA. They have a great variety of programs to learn with heroes, and using your eyes, you can steal the information of why, they're targeting us now."

"It can't be a coincidence that when China and Japan hero associations joined, the shinobi clans started to be attacked..." Izuku mussed and nodded "I accept the mission, Master Hasashi, Master Liang."

Hanso nodded "Excellent. We have already someone infiltrated between the heroes, but he requested your help to finish the mission."

"Who is it?" Izuku asked.

"Remember Shinya?" Izuku nodded. Shinya Kamihara, he was a member of the Shirai Ryu until he left to become a hero, known as Edgeshot. "Well, once he discovered what happened, he volunteered to help us out." Hanzo explained and Izuku smiled before frowning.

"And how do we know he isn't a double agent?"

Hanzo huffed amused "You know Shinya. He couldn't for his life, do something so dishonorable. Besides, his exit of the clan was relatively friendly. But just in case, when you have the chance, look into his intentions."

Izuku nodded and turned to Kuai "Master Liang, and what about Frost? She could also be of aid here."

Kuai frowned "Why that is true, sadly, she betrayed the clan, and I was forced to kill her."

Izuku nodded understanding "I see."

"Now, the plan is the following;" Kuai started "Shinya recommended you, and my warriors got you into the recommendation exam that will take place in 10 months from now."

"You will finish your training in 5 months, and the next 5 months you will stay with Shinya in the city for you to adapt. In that time, you will start taking missions alongside, Rain, Zabuza, Chipp and Shin. Once you enter UA, there the mission will begin; find out why the heroes are looking so much into our activities and see if they are a threat." Hanzo finished and Izuku nodded.

"Understood."

*Shirai Ryu Fire Gardens*

"Master Hasashi."

"Yes, my apprentice?"

"Do you really believe, I am ready?" Izuku asked as they were sat on the terrace, watching the sunset.

Hanzo hummed "I do, so does Kuai, and so does everyone in the clan."

Izuku looked shocked "They... do?"

Hanzo laughed "Yes they do. Izuku, your grown is one I never saw before. You are one of millions, and if someone can complete the mission, it is you." He hummed "Tomorow your training will be harder, we only got 5 months to make you even better, so be prepared."

Izuku nodded "I will." "Do you believe... I will meet my mother during the mission?"

Hanzo hummed "Only time will tell."
