Summary/Prompt: Fieten's sister falling in love with Shalnark

Today's Special

As strange as it sounds, sometimes I love and Hate you at the same time.

I love you for who you are,

But hate you for what you did.

Yuki yawned for the fifth time that day.

"What's wrong with you? Didn't you sleep last night? That's like your hundredth yawn today." a voice quipes up.

Yuki pouts at the direction the voice came from. "Oh don't be so dramatic. That was only my fifth yawn today." she then gives the man a devious smirk, "And for your kind information I slept perfectly over your loud snoring."

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean!" The blond man yells out.

"What she means is that your snoring was so loud anyone could hear it from outside." Machi jabs as Phinks. Causing everyone in the room to laugh, or in Feitan and Chrollo's case, chuckle.

"But still, Phinks snoring aside, why are yawning so much?" Pakunoda asks, worried for their unofficial member.

"I'm just bored. When are Hina and Gothella gonna get here?" Yuki whines, throwing her back to the point she falls onto her back, with her head hanging off the shard of cemented rock she was sitting on.

Chrollo answers her without taking his eyes off the new book he was reading, "They should be arriving shortly."

Yuki closes her eyes and sighs, expecting his answer. But then her eyes pop open and she springs to a sitting position. Starting everyone around her.

"What is the matter?" Feitan asks.

"Omokage" The second Yuki said the fourth leg's name, everyone knew she was serious. Personal differences aside, Yuki always knew when to get serious. So if she was using his real name and not some nickname she came up with, then she was definitely serious. "Is coming."

"What's wrong with that?" Uvo asks.

"It's not that, it's who's with him. Whoever he is bringing along with him, I don't know them, meaning they aren't a part of the troupe. Hina isn't with him either."

With Yuki's words a heavy silence falls over the room. Franklin being the one to break it, by asking the one question that was on everyone's minds. "Why's that?"

Franklin's question was answered when two men walked into the room. One they recognized, and one they had never met before.

Everyone was silent, taking in the appearance of the man they'd never met before. He had golden blond hair that looked silky and soft to the touch. His eyes were a light but dark shade blue colour with flecks of green in them making them seem as if they were a blend of the two colours. Yuki couldn't help but notice how cute he was.

"Who are you?" Chrollo asks, being the first to break the silence. Chrollo's voice would seem normal to an untrained person, but everyone in the room caught the undertone of threat in his voice.

The blond man just laughed, holding his hands up, "Don't worry, but before I can answer your question, I would like you to answer one of mine first." A silent pause followed his request. After a few moments Chrollo nodded his head, indicating for him to continue speaking. "Is it true that if someone kills one of your members they automatically receive an offer to join your group?" He asks, voice turning dark.

Yuki gasps, realizing where this conversation was heading and following her gasp the other members also realized what had happened. Hina was dead. Chrollo sighes, "Yes, that is true."

The man once again smiles way too brightly for the situation, "Great! So I didn't just kill someone for no reason."

"I assume you want to join the Spiders?"

"Yep!"

On that chilly evening of november, the phantom troupe gains a valuable member,

And Yuki Portor meets someone who will play a valuable part in her life.

Yuki marches out of the Phantom troupe's current hideout, seething in anger. 'I can't believe it! He paired me up with that guy! AGAIN!'

"Hey Yuki! Wait up!" Shalnark yells, running after her. He was taller than her and his legs longer, so he was quickly able to catch up to her. "Why do you hate me so much?"

Yuki whips her head around so fast she gets hit on the nose by her ponytail. "I hate you because you killed someone I considered a big sister. The others might trust you, but I most certainly do not." She seethes, barely above a whisper. Jabbing her finger at his chest.

"What do I have to do to make you trust me."

"There's nothing you can do." But despite what she said, Shalnark had slowly begun to grow on her. To the point that she truly didn't know how she felt about the man.

But Yuki soon realized her feelings three months later. The two had been on a mission. It was supposed to be simple. All they had to do was kill a group of people. They had killed all of them, but missed one.

Yuki had turned around so she couldn't see behind her.

She didn't see the man getting up.

She didn't see the gun pointed in her direction.

She didn't see the gun shoot.

But Shalnark DID.

Yuki heard the bang of a gun being fired, but she didn't feel the pain. She quickly turned around and saw a sight that she thought she'd be happy to see, but what she saw. Didn't fill her with the joy and happiness she had been expecting.

No. Seeing Shalnark in the group, creating a puddle of blood, filled her with something. But it wasn't joy. She felt empty. She didn't feel empty for long, because that emptiness was soon filled with overflowing rage.

It was in that rage that she didn't realize she had killed the man with the gun. But as the man's head fell to the ground, all of her energy left her body, leaving her a powerless heap on the floor.

"Hey are you ok?" The blond asks, startling her.

"W-what" she whispers out, "Y-you're ali-ve."

"Yeah. I was able to focus most of my energy to where I thought the bullet was gonna land. Successfully stopping the bullet from going too deep, so it didn't perce anything important. So why are you crying?"

Yuki's eye's winded. She shakily reached a hand up to her cheeks, realizing what he was saying was true. They were completely wet, a result of her constant tears that are still flowing. 'How long has it been since I've cried?' she couldn't help but think.

Shalnark smirks, "Were you worried about me?" trying to tease the women.

But he didn't get the response he was expecting. Because instead of slapping him, she looked him in the eyes. Trapping him in her gaze. "I hate you for killing Hina. I hate you." she then takes a deep breath and then says what she herself was denying since their first meeting. "I hate you and I love you. It's like I wanna throw you off a cliff, and then rush to the bottom to catch you." and then before Shal knows what's happening, she pulls him closer, and kisses him.
