I do not own the series nor its characters.
...Faye suddently woke up to someone shaking her. Apparently, she had fallen asleep in the middle of Math class. A student had woken her up at the end of the class. Everyone was gone now. And Cassie was not here, which meant she didn't come at all. Faye wondered what she was up to for maybe the hundredth time. She had to talk to Adam and Diana, maybe they knew something ?
Faye was able to talk to Diana and Adam at lunch. And apparently, even they didn't know where the cute little witch went. Okay. So maybe she really was in danger, if she didn't tell anyone where she was. All this situation was odd. At the end of her classes, Faye went to see Cassie at her house, hoping to find her there. Cassie's grandmother opened the door for her, saying that Cassie was sick, and that she was resting. It explained a lot. If she was sleeping, she probably wasn't feeling good enough to text anyone. Faye insisted to see Cassie, promising not to wake her up if she was still sleeping. Apparently, she had caught the flu, and she had not been feeling well since waking up this morning.
Faye entered the room, almost intimidated. She had been in Cassie's room before, but not like this. Not when she was sick. Coming to think of it, she had never seen Cassie being sick before. She didn't even consider it possible, because Cassie was always there, and she never missed a class. Never. Well she had done it now. It was proof enough that she was a human, like the rest of them. Well, she could have been a demon, with all this dark magic in this small body, who knew ? Faye was happy to see that her friend was indeed human. She liked the darkness, but she was relieved that Cassie was not a demon or something worse than that. Being a witch with this level of powers was already something huge, right ! This girl who did not look threatening at all was able to do magic outside of their circle, on her own, and to do it powerfully. Most of the time, Faye didn't really know if she was jealous or proud. Maybe a bit of both. Cassie was honestly so cool when she showed her true power !
