But here she was, lying down on her bed, fast asleep and looking like a small witch that really wasn't that powerful. Faye approached the bed, making sure she wasn't making any noise, not wanting to wake her friend up. But in spite of all her efforts, Cassie opened her eyes suddenly. She murmured :
- Faye ? What are you doing here ? Aren't you supposed to be at school ?
- No, you idiot ! School's over ! I came here to see where you were. I didn't expect you to be sick.
- Well, I am. I'm feeling awful right now. So tired...You should go, I don't want you to catch it too.
- You grandmother told me the same thing. But I'm going to stay, because I hate classes in general, and maybe you could let me catch some of what you have ?
- What ? No ! Faye !
- Relax ! I was kidding !
- Did you bring me the math homework ?
- ...
- Of course not ! Faye ! If you keep not listening, you are going to fail the class !
Faye murmured something like "yes, but you weren't there...". Cassie sighed :
- I'm not going to be there forever, Faye ! You need to start working on that concentration !
- You...What do you mean you won't be there...?
- Faye ! Are you really worried about me ? Don't worry, it's just a flu ! I was just saying that to make you work on your own a little.
- But I like working on maths with you ...
- Who are you and what have you done to Faye Chamberlain ?
They laughed, and then Cassie began to cough. Faye helped her settle down on her pillows. After a while, Faye went home.
But the morning after, Cassie was surprised to see her come back in her room. Faye had a guilty smile on her face :
- I caught what you have, apparently, and mom didn't want me to stay alone in the house since she has to go to work...So scoot over, I'm going to keep you company…
