I will have to forget everything
So that I can't think of you
Yes I have to act like I don't know you
Because I can't be near you again
I don't wanna feel this pain anymore
Take away all of our memories
Because it's all
Done for me

Can I get rid of this if I want to?
Take it out if I want to?
I wonder if I can erase the memories if I want to.
We really need to end this
I can't get close to you
Please I need to runaway without you,
Far away my memories of you
Right now is really just so painful
It's like there is a thorn inside that I just can't get rid of
I hope everything disappears
I want everything to be erased
So I can finally rest

I will leave because I already know that I can't have you
I will throw away all the memories I had with you
Because I can't be near you again
I don't want to feel this pain anymore
Take away all of our memories because it's all
Done for me

Can you please just get out of my head
And I'll pretend that we have never met
Please forget about us
Even though it's difficult
If you think I would miss you, I won't
If you think I would regret this, I won't
I'll erase even all the little traces of you

I will have to forget everything so that I can't think of you
Yes I have to act like I don't know you
Because I can't be near you again
I don't wanna feel this pain anymore
Take away all of our memories because it's all
Done for me

Because I don't have any choice
There is no other way to protect you
I'm sorry but you'll understand me someday
And don't worry I will never forget Everything you've done for me
Done for me

(Hotel Del Luna OST)

Episode 27
To Eliminate One's Attachment

The Crown Prince of all Saiyans kept his word. He stayed on Bulma's side while she worked on upgrading his Gravity Room. Even so, he guarded his emotions when he was around her. He despised being around her for some reason he cannot understand. He couldn't help but feel suspicious of her actions so he focused his critical eye on her. Vegeta didn't like the way she looked at him with such warm eyes, moreover at that annoying grin every time she smiled at his direction. Her blatant way of addressing him so casually made him even more infuriated. Everything about the woman urged him to destroy her at once. There were also times when she acted odd, stupid and out of the line. If it weren't for her mechanical talents in the advancement of his training he would have already blasted her to oblivion for such disrespect.

On the first night, while doing an image training as he sat cross-legged, motionless and with his eyes closed in concentration on the corner, his senses picked up Bulma approaching Kakarot, secretly when she probably thought he was asleep. He opened one of his eyes to see her pass a note to his youngest General and winked back him. Kakarot simply stared at her for a while, lost for a moment until he simply nodded back. He frowned, inwardly feeling an unpleasant emotion in his chest at the exchange. Without realizing that he was glaring at her, Bulma returned to her group.

"Kakarotto," Vegeta called, his cold tone making both Bulma and Kakarot jump on their feet and turned their heads on his direction.

"Yes, your highness." Kakarot responded.

"What the hell is that thing?" he asked, eyeing the thing Bulma just gave Kakarot.

Kakarot shifted uncomfortably and then stammered. "Uh... Uhm... Ah... It's... It's a letter?" it sounded like he was giving an obvious answer to a stupid question his prince just queried.

Vegeta turned to him suspiciously, his obsidian eyes bored. "What letter?"

Kakarot shrugged his shoulders in discomfort. Vegeta eyed his hand again. "Is that it?"

"Yes... Your highness..."

Vegeta turned his icy glare towards Bulma's direction for a moment. Why would a slave give a letter to his General? And why Kakarot instead of Raditz? He pointed a finger at Kakarot and beckoned him to surrender the letter to him. "Let me see that."

Kakarot gave the letter to Vegeta without hesitation at all, which made the prince suddenly suspicious of his actions. He unfolded the paper and read with a scowl over his face,

"Dearest Kakarot," those were the first words on the letter.

"My precious heart is truly honored to receive such a wonderful, unexpected blessing such as a letter written by a handsome and kind General of the Royal Crown Prince. You are such a fine looking young man with a wonderful heart and soft eyes that shines like the blazing sun that saw through a lowly girl such as myself. I wish I could someday meet you again in order for me to see your godly features the heavens must have bestowed upon your grace once more..."

It was obvious that the Prince was unimpressed. He loured at the piece of paper in his hand before lifting his eyes to glare dangerously at both Kakarot and Bulma. He quickly darted his eyes away and said in an imperious tone, "Follow me, both of you. Including you, Raditz."

Raditz pointed at himself with a dumbfounded expression, silently questioning his prince why he's suddenly being dragged into this mess. Vegeta abruptly pulled him by the ear and forcefully dragged him out. He led the group back to the meeting room where he declared his royal commands a few minutes ago.

Once there, Vegeta finally let go of poor Raditz and turned towards the three fools with a furious look.

"What is the meaning of this?" he questioned with a threatening voice as he showed them the paper in his hand.

Bulma and Kakarot looked at each other awkwardly, shrugged their shoulders and shifted uneasily. "Uh..."

"It's a letter for Kakarot. From Chichi... I... I wrote it for her." Bulma finally responded with a stilted smile.

Kakarot and Raditz gave her a look of disapproval. Vegeta's frown deepened as his anger boiled.

"Tell me woman, have you never been aware of the Palace laws with regards to those who directly works for the Royal Family? And here I thought you said you were once my niehre." the prince interrogated.

Bulma gazed back at the two stiff Generals beside her, puzzled.

Kakarot cleared his throat to answer Bulma's silent question, "Those who directly work under the King and the Crown Prince are not allowed to have any attachments towards anyone else but only to their sworn masters. We Generals have sworn to give our entire lives in protecting the Royal Crown Prince. It is by the law we must abide at all times."

"Eh? Does that mean that you and..."

Vegeta cut her words off by directly speaking to her. "They will never belong to anyone but me. Any relationship beyond that is unacceptable unless I allow it myself. Just this once, I will pretend I did not see you do such a thing. The next time you do this foolishness, I will not show you any mercy again." Vegeta said as he burned the letter to ashes with his ki. He turned his sullen eyes to his youngest General. "You are aware what punishment I will bestow upon you and that royal cook if you continue this foolishness, Kakarot."

Kakarot's face visibly paled and he was forced to lower his eyes and bowed. "I understand, your highness."

"Please don't tell me you are going to kill the both of them." Bulma interjected.

"Isn't that obvious, woman? Breaking such law will be considered as betrayal to the Royal they have sworn to serve their entire lives. And such disloyalty and transgression is punishable by none other than death to the parties involved and that includes anyone who tolerates such impudent acts. So stop wasting your time setting up love birds in this place. Nobody is allowed to share foolish emotions meant for weaklings like yourself. It will only get you killed. Return to your work. Go before I change my mind and kill you right here and now." he warned.

"Go now... Bulma..." Kakarot urged.

Just like that... Her first attempt was slashed to ribbons. Other than that, it seemed Kakarot and Chichi's relationship was in trouble. She didn't mean to do so.

"I'm sorry." she whispered to Kakarot before she turned away and walked back to where they came from.

After that incident, Bulma wondered if the prince was showing a little concern about her. She was sure he would have destroyed her right there if he wanted to but he decided to simply ignore her acts and show her mercy instead. However, she started to feel Vegeta's sullen glares focusing on her direction more and more and it made her uneasy.

Vegeta was especially frustrated at the fact that he decided to let Bulma and Kakarot's transgression go without punishing them. When he told them that he'll pretend he didn't see anything, it was as if his lips moved on its own and those words that came out of his own mouth were against his own wish. He truly didn't want to show them mercy but something made him do it otherwise. It was probably due to the fact that she's useful to him as of now. Kakarot was of another matter. There was something about that Clown that annoys him to no end but he ends up forgiving him and keeping the fool alive. Damn it! What the hell is with these two trashes?!

As soon as Bulma's shift was over in the morning, Vegeta stormed out of the building like an impetuous hurricane. His patience was running thin at the time and wanted nothing but to blow something apart. Nappa, Raditz and Kakarot shrugged their shoulders, gave Bulma another look before they followed their tempestuous prince.

~=o-O-o=~

A few hours later, Vegeta had a private meeting with his father at the King's Executive Office. His father relayed to him the good news of Kinoko's deposal from being the Future Crown Princess. The Crown Prince was inwardly relieved of the news even though his expressionless face remained, looking like he was unhappy about it. He could feel that it's too early to celebrate. There was something else stirring up, he could sense his father's uneasiness.

"Is there anything else you want to tell me?" he asked his father.

King Vegeta knew he has no escape. His son always had an unbelievable keen powers of perception, all his presumptions were always on point and he knew that he won't be able to keep any secret from him. He didn't want a repeat of what happened between them after the prince found out about the Project Denzetsu, so he took a deep breath and said, "We just received a word from the Galactic Empire. Lord Freeza is on his way to meet you and go on with the treaty he postponed months ago."

That's when the prince's expression changed. Shock, anger... Uncertainty... The memory of his bitter defeat by the hands of those two soldiers of the Galactic Emperor came back to him. He was sure he can easily deciminate those two pests by now but Freeza? According to the prophecy, the Galactic Emperor should be very powerful that becoming the Legendary Super Saiyan is the only way to destroy him.

"You must marry and mate with Caulifla before he arrives. You must ensure that she bears you an heir before Freeza gets his hands on you. It is the only way that we can secure our bloodline in the throne. Also, Broly isn't the only enemy you need to defeat with the power of Legendary Super Saiyan transformation! You have Freeza to worry about as well."

Yes... His father was right. What good timing for Freeza to plan this. He wondered to himself what suddenly happened and Freeza decided to return.

If anything, Vegeta knew that he must hurry and become a Super Saiyan as soon as possible. He knew it's impossible for his engineers to finish his training room in no time and it made him feel annoyed. Most especially at the fact that his father is forcing him to marry and bear an heir quickly. He felt overwhelmed by the pressure of his duties as Crown Prince and it made his fury boil within him.

The king noticed his son's aggravation as the things inside his office began to shake due to the prince's rising power. He quickly grabbed his son's shoulder and said, "Son, listen to me. I know you're feeling angry at the pressure of these situations but you must concentrate at your goal, the fulfillment of the true prophecy to awaken the Legendary Super Saiyan within you. All your rage, you must concentrate it and turn it into power. Do you understand me?"

That was something all Saiyan warriors believed in. Rage is a common trigger for Saiyans to release unimaginable power beyond their own limits. Perhaps, King Vegeta thought that after everything that has happened to his son, the Crown Prince is getting closer to his goal.

Vegeta let out a breath to calm himself down. His father's right. If he managed to do that then he'll be a Super Saiyan soon.

He gave his father a sneer of irritation and left with a devastating air around him. Frustrated, impatient... He wanted to destroy something to release these emotions welling up inside him, concentrate them and turn it to power. His blood boiled with his innate bloodlust. Behind him, he could sense his Generals' uneasiness as they followed his steps.

Bulma suddenly appeared before him out of nowhere. The fuming prince watched at the glaring woman as she pulled out a pink ray gun behind her and pointed it at him.

"I know what you are trying to do..." she began before she abruptly screamed at the top of her lungs. "Get out of here before I annihilate you with this, you evil aliens!"

Silence...

He didn't react. Vegeta silently waited for Bulma to fire but she didn't. Her eyes simply darted towards Raditz's direction. The long haired Saiyan gave her a confused look as he pointed at himself before he turned his uneasy eyes towards Kakarot, Nappa and then his prince who looked like he was unaware of their silent conversation. Raditz sighed to himself and stepped forward.

"Just what the hell are you trying to do, Bulma? Come on, put that thing down. You know you cannot intimidate us just like that, not with that power level of yours." Raditz said nervously. He put his hand over her head to pat her, smiling sheepishly. "Run along now, woman. Before Prince Vegeta decides to punish us both-."

"Don't treat me like I'm a dog!"

Without much warning, Bulma pulled the trigger and fired an electromagnetic blast towards Raditz. The Saiyan let it propel him backwards until he crashed into a nearby wall. Nappa and Kakarot watched the exchange in bemusement while Vegeta stayed still, staring at Bulma with his freezing onyx eyes and a neutral expression.

Bulma hastily pointed her gun back at Vegeta and then fired another blast straight at him. Vegeta didn't flinch at the brazen attack, he simply tilted his head and the blast passed about an inch away from his face. Kakarot hastily jumped away from the blast's trajectory. The powerful beam hit the wall not far from where Raditz crashed into.

"I invented this when I was just four years old! Cool, right?" she proudly stated as she blew the billowing smoke off the raygun's muzzle with a haughty poise. However, when she finally found Vegeta's menacing expression finally changed into fury, she quickly stepped back away from him. Iron dust started to float and reel around him, blue sparks of electricity scintillate across him.

The Prince roared indignantly, "Don't mess with me!"

Without warning, Vegeta fired a Galick Beam at her direction and chased her with that and a violent surge of iron sand. Bulma frantically scampered away from the enraged Saiyan Prince and his destructive powers, crying out "I'm sorry!" as she did.

It was another failure.

~=o-O-o=~

Kinoko just wanted to die at this moment. The humiliation and frustration she was suffering due to her father's insubordination. She just received the King's Royal Command to immediately vacate the quarters meant for the upcoming Crown Princess. Without anyone to defend her anymore, she felt hopeless, alone. Her pride and ambitions crushed before her. After being denounced from her title as the selected one, she can expect a life of solitude ahead. Because of her father's betrayal, she and her mother will both have their tails and elite status removed and be expatriated to a planet far away from Planet Vegeta.

To her, death is a much better punishment than what awaits her.

Her humiliation felt even more sickening when the royal guards came to send her out. She couldn't take those disrespectful, acrimonious and some pitiful looks she's getting from them and her previous servants. She didn't want them to touch her, nor be near her at all. She turned ballistic when they tried to grab her but one soldier locked a ki restraining bracelet on her slim wrist, which quickly took her powers away from her.

Kinoko got dragged out of her quarters and much to her shame, encountered the new Selected One, her rival Caulifla, just outside the building. The wild-looking Saiyan lady looked like she felt sympathy for her and she hated it.

Kinoko screamed at the new Selected One, roared her fury at her, cursed her almost endlessly. Caulifla remained silent, although she had the smug look of victory on her face. The commotion Kinoko caused prompted the Crown Prince to come and shut her up himself after he decided to let Bulma be after she had fearfully ran away from him to return to her quarters.

"Enough of this!" Prince Vegeta yelled at the furious girl. He approached the two women and he sided with Caulifla without any second thoughts.

While everyone bowed down before his presence, Kinoko's wild behavior suddenly turned into despair. Her eyes filled with tears, as she whined, "Why? Why are you being so unfair to me?" she cried.

"You're pathetic, mushroom girl. That's why." he responded coldly. "How miserable can you get? You're desperate for the political power and position you desire, yet in exchange for casting aside your self-worth and honor. For an elite Saiyan like yourself, you have no pride at all. How can you become my Crown Princess and the future Queen of the Saiyans if you cannot protect your own pride? I will never be betrothed to someone with a blind, worthless ambition like you."

Kinoko sniffed her tears away.

"Now, get out of my sight before you end up with the same fate as your traitorous father."

The guards pulled Kinoko away from the Crown Prince, leaving Vegeta with his new betrothed. Kinoko kept on whining about how she is the rightful Selected One even as she disappeared from sight. He turned to Caulifla and told her, "Follow me."

He led her not far away from where his Generals and some royal servants were left. He entered the quarters Kinoko just vacated and Caulifla followed him there silently.

"Before anything else, I must congratulate you for becoming the new Selected One." he said. "You managed to take Kinoko's place, how lucky for you. You should be happy, I heard the two of you have been rivals."

"Yes."

"Why do you look like you're unhappy with it?"

"It is because of how I won, your highness. I think it would be a better grandeur feeling if I was able to win the actual Selection itself."

A slight shock changed Vegeta's neutral look, "You're feeling bad for Kinoko?"

Caulifla shrugged her shoulders and muttered, "It is only a matter of pride."

"Oooh..." Vegeta sounded quite impressed. "Let me tell you something." he said. "Now that you are in this position, you must remember that you are the rightful Selected One. You did not replace anyone, you just regained what is rightfully yours. Kinoko cheated the Selection Process because of her connections to both the royal family and the royal council. Do you understand?"

"It pains me and my pride upon learning that she cheated on winning, your highness. But you see, the Selection meant nothing to me but a mere challenge to show Kinoko who's the best. Winning against her is one of the two things I cared about knowing how ambitious she is and her lack of the rightful qualities of a Queen."

"Oh, so what's the other reason?"

Caulifla scoffed, "To change the way you royals and nobles think. I despised the way of you people. I prefer spending my time with the lower society, trying to help them the way I can. I remember there was a time I stole the food and gold meant to be offered to King Vegeta so I can share it with the lower people. If I become Queen, I want to use my political power to assist the low class and the alien slaves and give them a chance to live a much better life."

"I see that the trash have sent a representative to speak for them. How amusing." Vegeta chuckled darkly and then he let out an impish smirk. "You know you may get into trouble with what you just admitted to me. Are you forgetting that I am the Crown Prince of all Saiyans? You dared to steal my father's food and gold? Are you sure you only wanted to become Queen and be some heroine to the low-lives despite being against the law?"

"Why? Are you going to kill me now that you know that?" Caulifla challenged slyly.

"You're not scared of me killing you, are you?" he challenged. Caulifla calmly stood her ground despite how intimidating Vegeta can be.

"Maybe or maybe not. The question is, why should I be afraid of you when I did the right thing?" she answered him, crossing her arms over her breast plate.

"Aside from that selfless desire, you cared nothing for the position at all?"

"That is correct. My duty won't determine who and what I am. I will do what I think is right and will correct whatever is wrong. I will side with the helpless people and speak up for them even if it will be against you, His Majesty or the laws."

Vegeta glared at her silently for a while, sensing any uncertainty or lie behind her words. He sensed the girl's wild fire within her. She's determined, fiesty, stubborn yet she has a clear conscience. She can be trusted. It somehow remind him of... someone. Someone he cannot pinpoint.

For a slightest moment, he saw a girl with blue hair with the same blue fire in her eyes instead of the wild haired girl he was talking to... He flinched and shut his eyes to rid of the image. He must be imagining things. Why would the blue-haired woman suddenly come into his mind right now?

After he was confident with what he's sensing from Caulifla, that there's nothing doubting about her energy and her intentions. Vegeta let out a boisterous laugh, prompting Caulifla to shoot him an odd look. "I like you!"

Caulifla's eyes widened at the Crown Prince's words. "What?"

"Don't get the wrong idea. I didn't mean it as a sign of affection. I couldn't care less about you." Vegeta said, folding his arms over his chest plate. "Fine then, let's have a deal. I will follow through this plan simply because of my duties as Crown Prince. Do your own duties as my Future Crown Princess. You may use your power and position as you wanted in exchange for bearing me a rightful and powerful heir. Nothing more, nothing less, do you understand?"

"Heh... Don't worry, your highness. I have no intention of begging for your affection. I am only here to do my duty bestowed upon me being the Selected One." Caulifla assured him.

"Hmph. Very well.." Vegeta snorted. "That's all I came for." he said before finally leaving.

~=o-O-o=~

"Goodness! That was a terrible timing! How could I not notice he's in a terrible mood just now?! He was so angry I thought he won't stop chasing me until I'm dead..!"

Those were Bulma's thoughts when she successfully escaped Vegeta's raging chase earlier. She knew the prince had set his attention somewhere else and thanks to that, she was still alive.

Feeling afraid of his wrath and guilty at her audacious acts, Bulma decided to give him a peace offering. In her several years of experience as a cook for the Saiyans, she learned that the most effective way to cool off a Saiyan's anger is to fill his stomach. So she decided to make something for him. Something special, a cuisine that was memorable for them both. She went to Bardock's house since it was the closest in the Palace and asked Gine if she could use her kitchen, explaining to her what just happened and that she was planning to make a peace offering. When Bardock heard of the conversation, he laughed at her story, mocking her terrible timing. Gine scolded her husband for his unnecessary commentary and offered to come with her at the market to buy the ingredients. She also gave Bulma some fresh Nokma from her own meat shop to add to her dish because it is one of Prince Vegeta's favorites.

Bulma was glad and thankful for the offer and the woman's kindness and support. Gine smiled back, saying how impressed she was of Bulma's tireless efforts to bring Vegeta back. Gine believed that not much people would care about the Crown Prince losing his memories of them, most may even be happy if they were on her situation. But here was Bulma trying her best to make Vegeta remember her, even though she was facing such hardships and even fearsome threats. She will do anything for the Prince, she doesn't even fear setting off his temper if it meant bringing him back to her.

Gine was amazed by just how much Bulma loved Vegeta.

"I have given up on him many times in the past. It was the reason why he almost gave up on me as well. When I lost him that day, I realized how much I loved him. I cannot live without him any longer." Bulma said. "Even so, he was persistent and stubborn. He never let go of me in the end. Now that he's gone, lost in the darkness, I will do the same for him. I will be as persistent and stubborn as he did, and I will never let him go as well. It was a promise we made together." she recalled, holding her pendants close to her chest. "I will not give up on him, no matter what."

Bardock and Gine simply stared at her.

"I wonder how long such persistence would last..." Bardock thought to himself. He always believed that Bulma is the only one that could control or stop Vegeta's upcoming rampage that he saw on his visions of the future. But if Vegeta acts this negatively around her despite all efforts she did, then there was a lesser chance for her to bring him back.

Just when does Bulma plan to show Vegeta those damn pendants anyways?

Bulma made her dish with all her heart, hoping it would mend Vegeta's terrible mood when he comes in later, and perhaps trigger some of their memories. That's if Vegeta shows up to her in the CPRD office tonight. After cleaning up when she finished cooking at Gine's kitchen, Bulma left some parts of her dish for the Saiyan couple to eat for later before she left with the big bento box she and Gine bought at the market earlier at her hand.

Much to Bulma's surprise, Vegeta still kept his word and was present at the CPRD Department even though she offended him greatly earlier. She was glad to see him even with that cranky attitude of his. She took her gift and approached him to hand it over to him. The prince simply glared back at her. He was still angry at her, she could see but she decided to ignore it.

"What the hell is that?!" the prince demanded.

"A peace offering... as means of my apology for what happened earlier." Bulma replied.

Vegeta knew it was food she was offering him. He heard from his father that she used to be his cook when she first entered his Palace so she probably knows what kind of food he wants. He still glared at what she was giving him as if it was the most disgusting thing in the entire universe. Yet, the scent of the food inside suddenly made his stomach growl in hunger despite having just eaten his dinner before he arrived at the CPRD office.

He sighed and willingly received her peace offering, though he looked really flustered as he did that. He opened the large bento box and found an enormous serving of omyurice with a big smiley made from tomato ketchup at the top of the whopping fluffy scrambled egg over the copious amount of fried rice mixed with nokma, vegetables and soy sauce. Bulma smiled as she watched Vegeta gawk at the unnecessary smiley with a puzzled stare.

"What is this?" he asked.

"Uuh... A smiley-"

"I know what that stupidity is! I am questioning you about this cuisine!"

"It's an omyurice."

"Ooh. It looks... simple."

"Why? Is it bad for a Crown Prince to eat something that looks simple?"

He raised the bento box towards her, silently demanding her to take it. Bulma simply gawked at him with a questioning stare. "What are you gawking at?! A Crown Prince cannot directly eat without his food being tasted for poisons!"

Feeling offended, Bulma retorted back, "That is not poisoned!"

"Watch your annoying loud mouth, woman or I will silence you forever." the prince warned with a dark glare.

Bulma exhaled angrily and took the box back, picked up a spoon and ate a spoonful of the omyurice. "See? No harm!" she declared haughtily.

He was glaring at her suspiciously as she returned the food back to him. Vegeta's fearsome stare never left her eyes even as he start to snarf down the omyurice she offered him. His hard expression quickly faded into surprise when his taste buds reacted to the pleasant taste of the food. He stared at his box for a while, filled with thoughts about how familiar the taste was to him. He started to guess the ingredients based on what he savored- eggs, rice, nokma, salt, pepper, butter, carrots, peas, corn, onion chives, tomatoes, ketchup... But there was one he cannot name. His brows furrowed as he wondered what the other taste was but he couldn't pinpoint which ingredient it was at all. He gorged the remaining omyurice as he kept on asking himself what that was but failed to name it at all.

"Woman, what else did you put in here aside from the eggs, rice, nokma, carrots, peas, corn, onion chives, tomato ketchup, salt, pepper and butter?" he asked.

Bulma was surprised he was able to name all the ingredients she used on making that dish for him. "Wow! You're amazing! You actually did name everything! You sure have a sensitive sense of taste!"

Despite her praise, Vegeta's guarded expression didn't falter a bit, "Is that all?"

"Yeah."

The Prince scowled deeper, still skeptical. He put the now empty bento box down.

"So, how was it?" Bulma asked, hoping he'd compliment her cooking skills.

Vegeta turned his head away, his nose up in the air as he huffed angrily, "Hmph! It's quite adequate."

She shrugged awkwardly. Some compliment she expected from someone as prideful like him. She gave him a smile. "...I'm glad that you like it. So am I forgiven now?"

Vegeta narrowed his eyes on her, confused for a moment. That smile again. Her kind, warming smile has a strange stirring effect inside of him every time she flashes it on his direction. It is similar to that nameless 'taste' of the omyurice. Whatever it was, the Saiyan Prince was sure that he didn't like it bothering him like this. It was aggravating him to the core!

Vegeta eyed her angrily and berated, "Enough of this nonsense! I have no intention on wasting my time chatting with you, woman! If you have time for such stupidity, then I command you to use it to quickly finish your work instead! Get lost and stop pestering me!"

Bulma scowled at his rude attitude. What the hell is his problem with her? She already apologized and gave him a peace offering yet he still treats her like this. She sighed, giving up. "Fine. Suit yourself." she grumbled bitterly, turning her back on him and returning to her workplace. Geez, why does he have to be so hard?

Vegeta growled impatiently, disgusted about the unwanted interaction. He knew he didn't want to be anywhere near her after he found that cartoon in his room. Staying here is just an utter waste of his time. He shook his head, deciding to leave. He told Raditz and Kakarot to keep an eye for him at the CPRD Department and report to him any updates later.

Once Vegeta left to proceed to his training, Raditz and Kakarot approached Bulma.

"Looks like we failed thrice already and it's making him even more upset with you." Kakarot sighed.

"I can't believe he's being hard on me about this. It feels like he knows what I'm planning and he's trying to avoid them." Bulma responded.

"Well, you are right. Vegeta's perception was always on point so he's probably suspecting every move you're doing as an attempt to bring his memories back." Kakarot agreed.

"After he was made aware of your relationship with him through what we told him, he's probably avoiding any connection with you as much as possible." Raditz said.

"The question is... Why is he avoiding them like a plague?"

"Well, before he met Bulma, Vegeta believed that emotions are a warrior's biggest weakness and greatest downfall. He's probably avoiding her because he didn't want to be emotionally attached to anything while he's focusing on his goal to become a Super Saiyan. He feels that if he becomes closer to you, it would only hinder him from his goal."

"Why does he feel that way? He's lost his memories of Bulma right?"

"It's probably his instinct. Like dad said, Vegeta must have been traumatized by his inability to protect Bulma that's why he's lost his memories of only her. Even so, deep inside of him, there must be that part of him that felt that guilt and it's the reason why he's upset around her. His memories could be erased but his feelings for Bulma will never change."

~=o-O-o=~

"Damn it..." those were Vegeta's irate thoughts once he reached his destination. Whatever these feelings were they're making him feel uneasy, distracting him. He gazed down from the cliff not far beyond the forest of trees behind the Royal Palace and watched the waves of the sea below him. He imperiously commanded all surrounding watchmen bowing before him to leave him alone as he wanted to train in that area for the meantime. Without his highly advanced training room, one of Vegeta's favorite places to train is anywhere surrounded by water as it serves as an efficient buffer whenever he unleashes his destructive powers. He descended from the cliff far into the sea until he was floating just above the water to begin his training.

Vegeta's image was like that of some Greek god statue. Unmoving, perfectly sculpted, and breathtaking with that hard, concentrated scowl on his face. He was levitating above the water, with his legs crossed and his hands together below his chestplate. His thumb, index and middle fingers pointed high while his ring and little fingers are curled. His eyes closed, he recalled the feeling of rage he had during his rebirth by the power of the full moon. It unlocked his latent potential to its maximum, giving way to reawakening the feral primal power of the Oozaru without his body transforming into the gargantuan demonic monkey beast. He wanted to train himself into easily manipulating and controlling the primordial power he had unleashed that time.

He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled through his parted lips. Concentrating, reaching out inside of him...

"Huuuaaaaaaahhhhhh..." he let out a soft yet spine chilling breath as he reached deeper and deeper into the recesses of his being, searching for that primal part of him that contained his true Saiyan nature. This was how he managed to connect himself with the Oozaru beast sleeping inside of him.

A vortex of purple ki energy began to form underneath him, causing the water to ripple away from him. He could feel a bloodcurdling tingle ran up through his spine down from the tip of his tail.

This is it!

As he reached deeper, he could finally hear the low, rumbling sound of the beast as it slumbered. It sounded like cold whispers tempting him. In his mind, he found himself standing in the middle of nowhere surrounded by endless darkness. Below his feet pulsed waves of what looked like water that represented his energy. He slowly opened his eyes to find the image of the sleeping Oozaru beast hovering in front of him. He wanted to wake it up, but gradually, so he could feel the pleasure of its feral power flow through him.

He stepped forward, raising his right arm to reach out for the Oozaru that was his true self. He was able to touch the gigantic monkey's muzzle and rub it as if he was petting a pet dog. It has been a while since he was able to control this beast inside of him, though there were short and often times when it temporarily awakes and become in control of his body, just like what happened when he first fought with Broly.

"I hated it when I lose control of myself. Saiyans with greater powers find it hard to control themselves the more powerful they become. And my latent powers isn't something I can just easily control. Intense emotions and negative thoughts such as fury and bloodlust could make my control snap anytime and have this primal mind take over me. But I need that power. I need to become the Super Saiyan! I know that I'm getting close to it. It's ridiculously close it's actually teasing me. I should control it. Keep my mind clear..."

He concluded that he must calm his heart and mind and exercise calmness. He decided to do this slowly and carefully.

"Wake up and share with me your power!" he commanded. There was a low grumble as the beast gradually opened its entirely red eyes.

Dokkun!

In reality, Vegeta felt his heart throb once and he flashed his crimson eyes open. The vortex of evil energy and waves of water that spun under his feet began to surge around him. He gritted his teeth together and stooped forward as he flexed his arms on his sides. Every fiber of his body shook while he clenched his muscles real tight as he unleashed the sleeping power within himself, bit by bit. He growled, grunted and roared through his teeth as he forced the flow of ki into his body.

Until his aura erupted into a maelstrom of power, the Saiyan Prince underwent the first stage of his dark transformation. Red and black sparks of electricity snapped of the evil mist of energy engulfing his form and caused the water to surge higher. His canines grew sharper and longer and his red eyes became wild looking. This was the form he can still control and use at will. It utilizes twenty percent of the Oozaru's power. Vegeta knew this was nowhere near the power he was able to release that night and he wanted to use more of that and control it so he can utilize it in his fight.

More... Give me more power!

The blackish purple mist thickened and flared. He urged to release more power and his boiling rage, slowly, carefully. Controlling every ounce of it so long as he stayed conscious of himself. The surge of water intensified. Soon enough, his growls and grunts intensified into cries of agony as his second transformation began. Every muscle in his body inflated, invigorated by raw, ferine force. Intense pain racked his being, feeling like he was being burned alive. It was agonizing enough to make him scream and his face twisted into a grimace. He squeezed his eyes shut, heeding his mind to stay serene despite his fury and the pain, not willing himself to give in to a spiralling desire for bloodshed radiating off the Oozaru's feral thirst.

He slowly opened his eyes, which ablazed entirely red. His hands shook, fingers twitched uncontrollably as his fingernails grew and darkened.

This is it!

"Graaaaaahhhhh!"

Vegeta screamed as his powers surged greater. He went on and on, so long as his mind and body could take it. He underwent another torturing transformation once more, growing bigger in both width and height as his muscle mass inflated. Every sinew of his body were in pain, oversaturated by the amount of ki he was forcing out of his being.

When he finally managed to bring forth the fullness of the Oozaru's powers, the mist enveloped his body, making him glow with the flare of beastly power. He growled and grunted as he fought for control and restrained himself from going berserk. He tried his best to focus his ki and to calm himself down. Below his feet, the water still raged.

"Uuuurgghh... Grrr... Rrrrghhhhh! Uuughh!"

This shouldn't be this difficult! He can control himself in the Oozaru form! The only difference between that giant monkey form and this one is the size of both transformations. While with the gargantuan size of the Oozaru can contain such primal power, this smaller body, though it has already transformed almost twice and a half times his size in base form, cannot easily grapple such feral power.

"Come on! Focus! I am the Crown Prince of all Saiyan! I must not let the primal mind of the Oozaru take hold of me!"

During his struggle, he saw how the dark purple mist of energy surrounding him slowly lit up into green, his eyes turning from red to orange to a feral gold... Above his head, his flaming hair spiked, each strand stood on end. Soon, the green glow of his aura intensified as his ki suddenly surged uncontrollably beyond what he's expecting. Above him, lightning began to strike.

"W-What?!"

What is this new power? It was pure, violent and destructive, a different feeling from the feral, hateful energy he just released minutes ago. His aura quickly amplified and turned into a blinding, golden hue. He felt his power boil over. He cannot take it, cannot control it any longer.

"Graaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!"

Vegeta's cry echoed across the sea and at that same moment, his dark brown hair blazed into gold.

But as soon as that power came out, it quickly faded away from him. Vegeta fell into the water in his normal form, feeling suddenly weakened by the fatigue caused by the transformations he forced into his body.

As he wondered what just happened to him, everything went black for him.

~=o-O-o=~

Vegeta regained his consciousness in the medical tank the following morning. He heard several hushed voices talking about him. He can recognize Malaka, Kakarot, Raditz, Bardock and King Vegeta's voices among them.

"...According to the test done just now, the amount of his S-Cells have drastically multiplied in comparison to yesterday's results. He's getting closer to it. His body should be ready to the transformation anytime soon." Malaka was saying.

"...Fine," that was his father's voice.

He could sense Malaka step in front of the medical tank. Not far away behind the doctor was his father, quietly observing him.

"Great! He's finally regained consciousness. Prince Vegeta, your royal highness. Can you hear me? It's me, Doctor Malaka. I'm letting you out now."

He felt the soothing healing liquid drain from the tank and he shrugged the lead off his body. The lid of the tank opened and he rose with his usual hard look. Nappa quickly offered him his clothes.

"What are you doing in the middle of the sea last night? Kakarot sensed your ki going out of control and when he found you, you were already unconscious and on the sea floor." the king demanded his son.

"I was training to unleash the power of the Oozaru without transforming into that hefty form. I'm also trying to maintain control over such feral power in that state." the prince answered.

"I see..." King Vegeta nodded. "So how did it go?"

"No progress." Vegeta replied after a minute or two. "I'm beginning to understand why Broly acts differently in his transformed state." he turned to Malaka. "What did you say about the tests you've taken on me earlier?"

"Your highness, the results showed that the amount of S-Cells you contain have dramatically increased compared to yesterday. From three million S-Cells per cubic millimeter it went up to over one hundred million per cubic millimeter. The training you did before Kakarot found you must be the trigger for such phenomena."

Prince Vegeta didn't respond for a while. He analyzed the sensations he had during his transformations last night and compared them to what he felt during his first and second time he used that feral power without changing into a Great Ape. Perhaps, the ability to tap into the power of the Oozaru in the humanoid form is connected to becoming a Super Saiyan.

He recalled the change in the color of his aura as his power continuously surged inside of him last night. It went from a menacing purple to a vivid green to a flashy gold in seconds. And when that happened, he suddenly felt an unexplainable ecstasy at the power coursing through him. It felt the same as the feral power of the Oozaru, but much intense and uncontrollable. All of that quickly diminished as his body gave into fatigue. It simply wasn't ready to contain such energy yet.

"I see." the prince finally said. He looked down at his gloved hands and contemplated to himself. "Yes, that's right. I can feel it!" he closed his hands into fists. Satisfied at the feeling of his energy flowing through him. "I'm getting closer and closer to my goal. But becoming a Super Saiyan won't be enough. I have to surpass it, somehow."

He turned to Kakarot and Raditz, "Report the status of the Training Room."

"It is estimated that it will be completed today, your highness." Raditz replied.

Vegeta smirked at the thought. "Now I am entirely confident I could make it before the Annual Power Assessment. I'm sure of it."

"That's good to hear, Yon. I know you can do it. You are the true prodigy of our race after all." his father encouraged.

Vegeta's dark eyes suddenly burned with unyielding determination. The way it is now, it seems that even if he managed to become a Super Saiyan, it wouldn't be enough to beat and surpass Broly. He needed more power if he truly wanted to show everyone who's the strongest Saiyan in the Universe and the true chosen one to become Legendary.

"No. I won't be satisfied with just that. I want to surpass the level of the Legendary Super Saiyan."

Everyone turned to him with wide, shocked looks as if Vegeta just grew a second head, unable to believe what their prince was trying to accomplish.

"What? Surpass the Legendary Super Saiyan? Is that even possible?" King Vegeta breathlessly asked. Unable to think the possibility of a level beyond the Legendary Super Saiyan.

"Of course." Prince Vegeta responded to his father. "Saiyans have bottomless potentials. We grow stronger every time we fight and survive a near-death experience. I am going to train my hardest once the Gravity Room is complete. I will find a way to unleash and transcend the Legendary power that is my birthright and prove once and for all that I am the most powerful warrior in the universe! Mark my words!"

Kakarot and Raditz looked at each other. They recalled what Bardock told them about his visions. He saw Vegeta having red hair and also blue hair in them... They begin to wonder if that's what Vegeta was looking forward to reach.

There's no doubt Vegeta will make his words a reality. He is the Saiyan Prodigy after all. But then, why do they feel as if something was wrong about this? Was it because of how much their prince has changed in order for him to gain power? Has he really set aside his true heart to reach his goal? Is that the reason why he's lost his memories of Bulma?

Vegeta's ambitions were bared, his wicked intentions beyond selfish, out of his own pride, anger and desires for vengeance. And he's even more determined about it. He won't let anything get in his way any longer.

~=o-O-o=~

Several minutes later, Bulma received Vegeta's New Medical Records from Malaka. As Vegeta instructed, it shall be used as the CPRD's reference to help them build the perfect training equipment for him. The news about Vegeta's newfound strength prompted her team to improve the quality of their materials. Given the time, the completion of the entire training room along with all the additional upgrades they added to the room is expected to be done anytime today. If Vegeta received the news, Bulma knows he's expectant about it.

~=o-O-o=~

A few hours later, Vegeta decided to come to the CPRD Department. When he got there, he found the group of engineers in a circle, listening to Bulma as she tells them a story. Instead of yelling at them immediately for finding them not doing their jobs, he listened. He even hushed Nappa from announcing his presence when they have no idea that he was around.

So Bulma's story was about a cold hearted Crown Prince who fell in love with a commoner. They met through an exchange of love letters of the Crown Prince's younger brother and the girl's co-worker. The Crown Prince replaced his brother to see if the woman the young prince liked is a good one for him while the girl replaced her friend because she was shy and ashamed of her looks. The Crown Prince and the girl went on a blind date but she was not able to recognize that he is the son of the king and the heir to the throne because he was on a disguise. After they dated, the Crown Prince was satisfied and agreed to take the girl to his brother and make her his personal maid. When the Crown Prince picked her up, he realized that the girl is not the one his brother likes. He still allowed for the girl to enter the Palace along her friend, the one his brother likes, so he could punish her one day. The girl became a worker at the Palace and served the Crown Prince, who was still disguising every night in order to bully her around. Despite many arguments and fights they had, they eventually fell in love with each other. However, when she learns she is the Crown Prince, things became rough for them.

Because of the Crown Prince's royal status and the fact that the royal family has a lot of enemies and her being just a commoner servant girl, they faced a lot of trials in their relationship. The Prince's parents forbid them to be together. The prince was forced to be betrothed to a noble woman. The girl was in constant danger because the enemy knew that she's his only weakness. Because of this, the Crown Prince decided to end it with the girl in order to protect her. He asked her to wait for him and gave her a vow that he will return to her one day. As a symbol to such promise, he gave her a key pendant which symbolized as the key to his heart. He loved her with all his heart but he has to fulfill his duties to his people first. The girl understood and even if it hurt her heart, she let him go.

"Why did the Crown Prince decide that? I thought he will give up his royal status so he can be with her. Isn't it that when you truly love a person, you should be willing to give up everything you have for the sake of love? Just like what the Little Mermaid did in the story you told us earlier." asked Menma, cutting off Bulma's story.

Bulma pondered for a moment, and then smiled. "Because he was the only hope of his people, that is why he cannot give up his royal status that easily."

"You mean... Just like His Royal Highness, Prince Vegeta?"

Not far away from them, Vegeta scowled when he heard his name. Behind him, Nappa, Kakarot and Raditz were watching him curiously. The Generals knew that the Crown Prince in the story was indeed Vegeta but since he cannot remember, they were curious how he would react.

Without realizing that Vegeta was around, Bulma shrugged her shoulders. "Well..." she slurred.

"Is the key pendant, the key to his heart, the one you are wearing right now?"

Bulma visibly blushed, looking down at the pendant dangling on her chest. She held it with her right hand and cleared her throat, looking away.

"We knew it! The story is about you and Prince Vegeta's relationship!"

The group began to swoon at her, teasing her with squeals and whistles. Bulma was about to hush them in embarrassment when she finally noticed Vegeta's presence. Her eyes widened in horror when she saw his silent, angry expression.

She immediately told her co-workers to hush down but they didn't keep quiet. She began to panic, trying to calm the situation she was in. She turned back to Vegeta and decided to just address his presence in order to shut everyone up.

"You're here! How long have you been standing there?" Bulma asked awkwardly.

Everyone turned their heads to the direction of the person Bulma was talking to and their eyes widened in horror. They immediately fell down to their knees, cried out and beg for his forgiveness and mercy.

Bulma, who remained standing, chuckled nervously. Vegeta stepped forward, the hardened scowl on his face and darkened eyes didn't falter at all as he strode. Bulma approached him anxiously, hoping to calm him down before he goes berserk.

"Uh... Vegeta." she called him.

He ignored her as he passed by her. He sat on the seat Bulma previously sat on. Finally, he looked at her before his eyes went down on her chest, to glare at the pair of key pendant and locket dangling on her golden chain necklace. He rolled his eyes after that.

"To answer your stupid question, I was here for quite a while, woman." he finally said.

"Did you... Uh..." she asked.

"Hear your story? Stop asking the obvious, woman. Of course I did!"

Bulma looked away awkwardly. Seeing her feeling uncomfortable, Vegeta finally smirked.

"I like it. I enjoyed listening to it." he said.

Bulma gasped in surprise. "Really?"

"Of course. Sometimes, I find such ridiculous things quite entertaining." he responded, the sarcastic tone now obvious.

Those words completely ticked her off. "What?! Ridiculous?" she repeated, gasping in disbelief.

"The plot. It's quite obvious that you just made it all up. It's stupid and such a complete nonsense. Imagine a stupid commoner dating a Crown Prince on a disguise. Unaware of his identity, she fell in love with him. Hah! If she became a Palace maid, how did she not recognize the Crown Prince? Even if the Crown Prince is wearing dirty rugs or battle worn clothing, the regal aura of a royal cannot be mistaken! Yet she still didn't recognize him at all? Hmph! How ridiculous! What kind of stupid woman is she? Does an idiot like her even exist?

"Also... How does such a Crown Prince who should be busy with Palace Affairs have time to waste on a blind date or falling in love? As the future king, how is he going to lead his kingdom if he acts like a fool? He'll bring his kingdom and his people to ashes!"

Suddenly, everyone around him forced themselves not to laugh. If anything was funny, it was how Vegeta was completely unaware that he was criticizing himself... Or to be exact, what he used to be.

"What's even more annoying is that one of you dared to compare the great me to that stupid Crown Prince! I should be killing you all! What are you laughing at?! Do you truly value your pathetic lives?!"

Bulma breathed, smiling at him. "Come on, Vegeta. Relax. It's just a story, why are you so affected?"

Vegeta suddenly reddened at her words, taken aback. "Wha... What?! I'm not affected!" he denied quickly. He huffed arrogantly and looked away. "I just hated it when someone mentions my great name and relate it to such stupidity. That is all. Now tell me, why are you guys wasting your time out here? Shouldn't you be busy with my Gravity Room? Didn't I tell you not to dawdle when I'm not around?"

"Well... About that..." Bulma uttered. Then she suddenly became excited. "You should come with me! Let's go!" she told him.

"What?!"

"Come on and follow me!"

"How dare you order me around, woman?!" Vegeta complained angrily, obviously not following her invitation.

Bulma rolled her eyes at his unbelievable stubbornness and she unceremoniously pulled his hand to forcefully drag him with her.

"What the hell are you doing, woman?! Unhand me right now or I'll have your head cut off!" Vegeta complained again but appeared to be helpless in the situation he was in.

The Crown Prince's three Generals just looked at each other, fighting the urge to smile and laugh while they followed Bulma and Vegeta to the Crown Prince's training room.

"Look!" Bulma exclaimed once they're finally inside the Gravity Room. "It's all done!"

Vegeta's only response was him looking around with a neutral expression. He strolled towards the Gravity Simulator Console, seemingly tensed and in alert for any upcoming dangers for quite awhile. He finally relaxed a bit after he was sure everything was clear and once he was in front of the console, he observed it with darkened eyes as he ran his fingers over the screen and buttons.

"What do you think?" she asked with a proud smirk. "Basing on your latest records the CPRD gathered from Doctor Malaka, we created several upgrades in this room to make it more durable enough to withstand your growing strength. The Gravity can now go up to 60Gs. We made the entire room shockproof and soundproof so your powers won't affect the outside when you try to power up to your maximum. We placed several state of the art machines like those in the wall that can shoot laser beams and floating drones that can emit and deflect blasts with the same components as ki. We also added some features on the Artificial Intelligence Computer installed in here as well. It should be able to record your condition and as well as your progress aside from your typical commands. Also... We've created a combat simulator. Through your AI, you may set up your desired settings and the computer will transfer artificial data into the surrounding area to create a virtual reality effect. Even if they're most illusions, we've manage to tinker it to be able to have realistic effect on one's physiological development. Through this method, you can fight powerful enemies in a simulated environment accordingly to what you programmed the AI. In emergency cases or if you accidentally set up the Gravity to the point that it endangers your life, the AI will automatically shut down the machine and contact the medics so they could immediately rush to your aid."

"It's adequate." that was his only response to all her blabbering before he addressed someone else. "Nappa, take care of the CPRD Team's Paycheck. Raditz, Kakarot, leave us alone."

"We understand, your highness."

The Generals left after that.

"What?! That's all you're going to say after all the hard work we did?! Aren't you even going to try the combat simulator?" Bulma complained. She expected him to be excited about his new training room but here he was still with that displeased look on his face.

"Honestly woman, I don't care about how much you did with this training room. Your purpose is to help me transform into a Super Saiyan and if I do not become one in six days, all these meant nothing to me."

She rolled her eyes. "I know that, Vegeta. You remind us that every time. Follow me, then."

"Again?"

"Come on! Unless you do not want to become a Super Saiyan in six days!"

"What?!"

Bulma walked out of the Gravity Room, leaving Vegeta unsure if he should follow her or not. What an insufferable woman she is! It's annoying him to the core! What is she planning to do anyways? How is it related to becoming a Super Saiyan? With a snort, he put his fists over his hips and begrudgingly followed her. She led him on the small bridge across the pond that was a few feet away from the Crown Prince's Palace. There was a small wooden table there, set up by Kakarot and Raditz earlier. On the table were two paper sky lanterns, two marker pens and a matchbox. Finding the lanterns on the table, Vegeta scoffed, wondering how it would help him become a Super Saiyan.

"What are you going to do with those wish lanterns?!" Vegeta demanded her.

"I heard from Doctor Malaka that you are almost there. You're getting close to your goal." she replied. "So, we will wish for your success with these." She picked up the markers and gave one to him. "Come on. Write down your wish. Tell the wish granting god to make you transform into a Super Saiyan before your Power Assessment."

"Tch! What do you think I am? I'm no child to make such wish!"

In her annoyance, Bulma forced Vegeta to take the marker by shoving it at his hand. "Tsk! Just do it! Come on!"

She took the cap off her marker pen and pulled one of the lanterns and write her wish. Vegeta watched her with a furious glare. Bulma looked at him and covered whatever she was writing with her other hand to avoid him 'cheating' on her wish. Vegeta stomped his way and angrily took the lantern left on the table and wrote his wish. When he did that, something abruptly flashed before his mind.

He was writing a wish on a paper lantern one night. He was at the royal city and it was bustling with people. There must be a festival - the Sky Lantern Festival. He could hear voices in his head, his own and Malaka's.

"Hey, Malaka… I feel terrible lately. I can't sleep. I feel hot and uncomfortable. I hallucinate and imagine impossible things. I over think too much and I am losing my concentration on training lately. Tell me, what is going on with me?"

"According to my tests, you are just fine, your highness. It's just insomnia and you need to rest in order to regain your strength."

"Is that really all? I think you're hiding something. What is the truth? Tell me."

"My apologies, your highness. But I doubt that you wanted to hear the truth."

"What is it? I am ordering you to tell me."

"Hmmm… Your highness… The symptoms you speak of… is something widows and desperate people experience… In your case, I could only guess since this could be your first time experiencing this… You see, a man and a woman who love each other would normally go together, but…"

"But what?"

"Based on what you are experiencing… It sounded like… as if… you are a man who wants a woman so badly but you know you cannot own her because of… because of complicated things… This experience is called 'Limerence'… or most commonly known as 'Love Sickness', your highness…"

"What?! Me?! Love sick?! Don't mess with me! Get out of my sight before I send you to oblivion, Malaka! If you dared to speak of this to anyone else, I will rip your tongue off your ugly muzzle, you useless piece of trash! Wait, before you go… Tell me, is there any cure?"

"The only way is for you to tell her how you truly feel, your highness. No matter what the consequences may be, you must accept it whole heartedly."

He could hear Bulma talking faintly in the background and he simply watched at her with a blank, disorientated look. "Now, if you focus on your training then it will soon come to you... You are a prodigy and the Prince of all Saiyans after all..."

He heard his own voice in his head again as he recalled writing a wish on his lantern in the memory. "I am the Crown Prince of all Saiyans, the most powerful and ruthless warrior in the universe. I am the feared Legendary Destroyer of Worlds and the Grim Reaper, Sadara! Entire civilizations tremble in fear at the mere sound of my name and titles. No matter what the consequences may be, I will face it courageously with my pride! I will not live on a lie forever!"

'Accept me,' Those were the words he wrote in the lantern...

Why is he trying to make this woman accept him? He wondered.

He shook his head and simply wrote: 'Make me a Super Saiyan.'

When they finished jotting down their wishes on the paper lantern, they lit them up and finally released the two lanterns in the sky. As they watch it float, Bulma wished inwardly to herself, 'Please make him a Super Saiyan too.'

The wish she wrote on her lantern was, 'Come back to me, Vegeta.'

Vegeta saw it and he was about to open his mouth to berate her for it but his curiosity got the best of him.

"Did we do this before?" he finally asked her.

Bulma looked at him in surprise for a while. "Yes. In the wish lantern festival. Did you remember something?"

"No." he lied. "Why do you think I would suddenly remember such a useless thing-"

She turned to him, reaching out her hands so she could touch his face. Vegeta tensed. What the hell is she trying to do?

"Wha... What-?" he muttered, confused.

Before he could voice out his complain, Bulma suddenly pulled him into a deep, passionate kiss.

Something abruptly snapped inside of him at that same moment. His surroundings blurred and he became lost in a void of memories he must have spent with her on said lantern festival. It sparked something inside of him, flaring and electrified by such sensations. Just like before, a myriad of different emotions he didn't wish to feel ran through him and he could not understand any of it. It was overwhelming him. He felt like his chest would burst anytime soon.

And so he desperately grabbed her arms and harshly pushed Bulma off him.

He glared at her with huge, wide eyes blazing with rage, "Just what do you think you're doing?!" he roared indignantly. He breathed in and out, to control whatever this feeling building up inside of him. The overwhelming pressure in his chest didn't even falter one bit. His confused mind suddenly began to be filled with several, random memories of him and Bulma together in the past. His forehead throbbed and he began to shake his head to rid of the growing pain.

Vegeta abruptly cried out.

Bulma suddenly began to panic, "Vegeta! Vegeta! What's wrong?! What's happening to you?!" she cried out, chasing him as he continued dancing around, banging his head in the air to take away the pain.

The Crown Prince's Generals and nearby guards heard the Crown Prince's agonized screams and they quickly rushed towards the scene.

Bulma was able to catch Vegeta and she pulled him close her. "Someone call the medics! Please!" she told them as she comforted the prince. "It's okay, Vegeta. Don't panic. Just breathe..." Bulma told him.

"Shut up and leave me alone!" Vegeta pulled away from her, pushing her off him. Bulma hit the railing of the bridge but manages not to fall. She turned back to him to yell at his rudeness but when Vegeta let out a long, continual cry and his blue aura finally burst outwards, which caused a pressure wave around him, Bulma panicked.

"Vegeta! Calm down! Please! You have to control yourself or you'll destroy this place!"

Yet, the Crown Prince's ki continued to build up at an erratic pace. The small bridge began to tremble and crack on the surface while the water in the pond surged.

"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" he shouted at her, his eyes were green when he glared at her. He screamed louder when his mind became filled with memories and his head felt like breaking into several pieces.

The pressure waves he was causing became stronger. At his feet, bolts of bioelectricity began to spark. Vegeta gritted his teeth together, clenched his fists and flexed his arms on his sides. His body shook as his power rose uncontrollably.

Bulma looked up to see the skies being covered by dark thunderclouds, which brought blaring lightning striking down. The entire planet shook by now due to the Prince's rising power.

A few seconds later, the mist of blue energy surrounding him started to change color, from blue to green to yellow to a brilliant gold. His black flaming hair rippled along the flow of his golden aura, which flashed green for a few moments before it changed color into gold from the roots to the tips.

At that moment, Vegeta roared with all his might.

Before everyone who witnessed such event could even say a word about it, the bridge in which Vegeta and Bulma stood finally broke apart and Bulma screams as she fell into the water. At the same time, Vegeta's transformation faded away and against his own wish, jumped into the water to save Bulma. He didn't even had the time to realize what just happened to him again.

Another flash of memories played in his mind when he did that. Yet he tried his best to ignore it. He quickly pulled Bulma out of the water and landed on the nearby bank. After coughing breathlessly for a few seconds, Bulma finally looked up to him.

And realized he was back to his normal form.

"Vegeta?"

He was staring down at her with his usually dark eyes. Bulma recalled she saw those eyes glowing green the moment he told her to shut up. It made his usually intimidating eyes sharper and colder. Also, his hair flowed like the finest gold she had ever seen while his golden aura felt warm, regal, yet there was an edge of ferocity in it.

Suddenly, Bulma recalled the story the late Huiston once told her.

"Prince Vegeta is the prophesied one to achieve the pinnacle power and legendary transformation of the Saiyan race. The prophecy said he will become the Golden Warrior and save the universe from the Galactic Emperor."

"The Golden Warrior..." Bulma awed breathlessly. Everyone around them were looking at their direction in awe and admiration at the form of the Saiyan Crown Prince almost gained. "Vegeta! You almost did it! You're a Super - oof!"

She was unable to finish her sentence when Vegeta suddenly let her go.

"Hey, what the hell was that for?!" she screamed at him, infuriated.

He simply stared back at her with his cold, menacing eyes. His mind filled with confused thoughts at what just happened to him. His fists clenched on his side and he frowned.

"Vegeta... Are you... Are you alright?" Bulma asked. She picked herself up from the ground and reached out to him once more.

Vegeta glared at her hands disgustedly for a moment before he rudely slapped them away. "Don't you dare touch me again!"

"Ow!" she glared back at him, waving her painful hand. "What the hell is your problem?"

Vegeta was feeling furious. He didn't like the fact that this woman dared to trick him only to kiss him and make him feel such... an unexplainable feeling he didn't want in his system at all. Plus, that experience made something inside of him snap - then visions filled his mind and made his head feel like it was breaking apart from the amount of unwanted forgotten memories it suddenly showed him.

Finally remembering some fragments of the memories he had with Bulma made him hate himself. Not because of what he did to her but because he couldn't believe the fact that he was the one who pursued a relationship with her. He couldn't understand whatever possessed him to be interested with this woman at all. Well, he knows she's a beautiful woman with a mechanical genius and a pure but feisty heart. She had every quality a Saiyan wanted for his woman except for her lack of physical power, love for battle and her alien origins. He learned from what he gathered now how much this woman hated him from the beginning for destroying her home planet, she even showed utter distrust and disrespect to him for so many times he should have killed her already. So he couldn't understand the reason why she suddenly cared about him now.

"Why?" he muttered.

"Why what?"

"Why do you care so much about me?" he asked.

Bulma pondered for a moment before answering. "Why? It's because I love you."

"Love?" he repeated with a sneer, making a bitter face before he chuckled darkly. "You mean that stupid emotion meant for weaklings?" He rolled his eyes at her ridiculous answer. "Tch! Give me a break! I can't believe that despite your intelligence, you are still capable of being shallow! Why don't you just give up? It's useless. Quit wasting your time thinking that I will remember you again. There had been no Saiyan who suffered from amnesia that has recovered his memories ever."

"I know." Bulma said. "Even so, I believe that you are still the Vegeta I know and loved..."

"What an obstinate woman you are." He said with a look of boredom. He shifted his eyes away, losing his interest with her. "Whatever. You can believe what you want. I don't care about it anyways."

"If you truly don't care, why do you convince me to forget then? Are you... concern over my feelings?" she asked. She knew that he could be lying. Vegeta still cared for her. His feelings for her must be gnawing at his cold heart. He could be trying to deny it for some reason but she knew he still cared deep down. He's lost his newly attained Super Saiyan form and immediately reverted back to his normal form just to save her from drowning. He chose to save her than to revel in the new power he finally gained.

"Tch! Don't get the wrong idea, woman. Your actions and your foolish attempts at making me remember annoy me. Whatever we had in the past... I don't care about any of it. The man you see in me, I am not that person anymore."

That hit her heart like icicles stabbing through them. She recalled Raditz's words yesterday evening.

"Vegeta believed that emotions are a warrior's biggest weakness and greatest downfall. He's probably avoiding her because he didn't want to be emotionally attached to anything while he's focusing on his goal to become a Super Saiyan. He feels that if he becomes closer to you, it would only hinder him from his goal. Vegeta must have been traumatized by his inability to protect Bulma that's why he's lost his memories of only her. Even so, deep inside of him, there must be that part of him that felt that guilt and it's the reason why he's upset around her. His memories could be erased but his feelings for Bulma will never change."

If Raditz's assumptions were correct, Vegeta feels his connection to her but was fighting against it because of his desire for power right now. So no matter what Vegeta tells her right now, she won't believe it. She stubbornly believed he still cared for her and no matter how much he tries to deny it, he will forever remember her in his heart.

"We're done here, woman. You're dismissed. Go to Nappa and take your paycheck." he said, turning his back on her and walking away.

~=o-O-o=~

"Damn it! I was so close! I was sure I already did it but somehow, I was unable to maintain the transformation and the power! What is wrong? What is missing?"

Vegeta was beyond frustrated. He cannot understand what the hell was wrong and he cannot maintain the transformation.

"I cannot believe I just lost my grasp of that legendary power! It's ridiculous how Broly was able to become one when I am the prophesied one to be the Super Saiyan. I am the prince of all Saiyans, the most powerful of my kind! I should be the only one who can achieve it! Broly is just a royal guard, son of a former Colonel! Despite being the second strongest, he shouldn't be able to surpass me no matter what! What's his secret? Was it because he killed nearly nine thousand of my Clones that he was able to achieve such power? Do I really have to kill and destroy like a rampaging bloodthirsty beast in order to fully awaken my Super Saiyan powers?"

He recalled how his energy flowed within him while he was killing in the past few days. It was intense, powerful, heart-pounding. His bloodlust spiralled. With every drop of blood, with every anguished scream his victims helplessly let out, the more his powers rose out of control. It seemed like there was no limit to his destructive potential. The beast inside him urged him to do more, to kill and destroy so it can be satiated. He was resisting because he didn't wish to lose control and destroy the things that were important to him. It is unbecoming for a true warrior to let his instincts reign over his senses. Yet, if he gives in, he may reach a new level of power through his rampage but it's not exactly the power he wanted.

Then he wondered if it has something to do with how he deal with his feelings. He recalled losing his grasp of his Super Saiyan powers when he saw how Bulma fell into the water. It was out of instinct, without any second thought, and against his own will. If he had not saved her, then he could be celebrating his ascension to the Legendary state right now.

"You showed too much emotion completely forbidden for you as the Saiyan Crown Prince and a true Saiyan Warrior! It made you soft and weak! Your former ruthlessness faltered and you have lost your edge! As such, you nearly died because of it! You may have lost your memories but your heart will always remember what you always feel! Your emotions will always be your greatest weakness!"

Kinoko's words suddenly flashed on his mind. Was she correct about it after all?

Vegeta tried to avoid any attachments towards Bulma after he was made aware of his previous relationship with her. He told himself so many times that he didn't care about his lost memories about her. Although it could be out of his pride since he believed that personal attachments and soft-heartedness are a Saiyan warrior's ultimate weaknesses, he felt like there was another, unexplainable reason why he's feeling such abhorrence towards the blue-haired woman. He didn't exactly hate her. What he dislikes about her is how she makes him feel several, mixed emotions he cannot process while being with her. It's making him uneasy, annoyed, furious!

"So that's it..."

He has to find a way to completely rid of these memories and feelings at once if he truly wanted to become stronger.

~=o-O-o=~

"Your highness~..."

Vegeta's thoughts were distracted when he heard Nappa whining behind him. He frowned as he turned towards his attendant. He was about to open his mouth to yell at him for distracting him when he saw Nappa was crying.

He sighed. So much for thinking about stupid emotions unbecoming of a true Saiyan Warrior.

He approached the Brawny Saiyan and demanded, "What's wrong?"

Nappa raised a finger and pointed behind him. "You need to come to the entrance gate, your highness."

At the same time, he heard his father's anguished cry in the direction Nappa just pointed at. Vegeta focused on his father's ki and directly teleported himself there using his Hibiktus technique.

He saw his father wailing out loud at what it looked like a long, black bag. The zipper of the bag was opened halfway. For some reason, Vegeta felt a pang of nervousness in his chest when he saw what his father was doing. He could tell what is inside the bag just by looking at how hard his father was crying at it. He didn't move, his feet seemingly glued on the concrete floor under his boots.

"Tarble..?"

The king cried out, "My son... My son... What have they done to you..?" which confirmed Vegeta's suspicions. When he was finally sure who it was, Vegeta forced himself to move. As he stepped closer towards the bag and his mourning father, memories he had with his brother flashed on his haze mind. Guilt, regret and anger overwhelmed him when he realized it was his mistake that he allowed Tarble to leave Planet Vegeta because his brother wished to be with his beloved alien lover. How many times did he neglect to call his brother to check on him and his newfound life on Planet Teketeke? It was his fault. He failed to protect him. He peeked into the zipper and saw his younger brother's pale, sleeping face. He cannot feel his ki anymore. Vegeta felt his rage rose but forced himself to calm down when he noticed something inside. With shaking hands, he pulled the zipper down and pulled out a white paper folded thrice lengthwise. He opened the letter and read, "They failed to kill the first born so we took the second's life instead."

Vegeta showed his father the letter and when he finally read it, the king finally exploded! With a mighty roar of the alpha, King Vegeta released his fury. Filled with great rage and desire for vengeance, he commanded his forces to kill every single alien they could find. The murder of his second son was done by none other than those sneaky alien rebel bastards!

"Wait, father!" Vegeta quickly opposed. His father's wrath-filled eyes glared back at him. Vegeta turned to his father's forces and gave them a command instead. His eyes glowing crimson, completely overwhelming the King's alpha power, as he announced in a completely menacing tone, brimming with a fearsomely calm anger and bloodlust. "Bring them all to me. I will personally make them all suffer for what they did to my dearest brother." he seethed.

Yes, that's it. He's found a way to go into a rampage and shed the blood he needed to satisfy his inner bloodlust, hoping it would help him finally reach the state of the Legendary.

If its war these fools want, then they're in for a special treat.

~=o-O-o=~

The Royal House finally decided to strike back to their enemies. Planet Vegeta was on an instant state of turbulence as every single alien the royal forces could find were arrested and were forcefully dragged towards the Royal Palace to face the wrath of the Royal Family. Men, women, children, not a single one was spared. Even those who worked at the Royal Palace, such as Malaka and Chashu, were not exempted from the order.

Broly was training on his own that time when he heard the screams of a woman, demanding to let them go. For some reason, there's an odd feeling in his chest, something unexplainable that even if it was against his own wish, his feet led him towards the voice. There he saw a lady with short white hair, thin white eyebrows, green skin and a slender yet curvy build, crying out for help. Several Saiyan soldiers from the Royal Forces were arresting her and her other companion, a male alien with orange skin and huge, yellow eyes with slotted pupils, by force.

For a moment, Broly wondered what the soldiers were doing to them. The alien lady tried to negotiate with them, telling them she didn't steal anything, which looked like it was a blind-faced lie. The Saiyan Soldiers were ignoring her pleas as they forced her and her friend down the ground by kicking them behind their legs and breaking their bones. The aliens cried out in agony.

That's when Broly stepped up. "Stop it! That's enough!" he roared.

The soldiers halted their assaults on the lady and her friend to turn their heads on the newcomer.

"You're..."

They clearly recognized him being the son of the traitor to the Royal Family but knowing just how much power he possessed and that they were clearly no match against Broly, they decided to hold back their tongue about insulting the boy or they might end up dead right here and now.

"...Broly."

Broly nodded.

"Let the woman and her friend go." Broly calmly ordered with a stern glare.

The soldiers looked at each other for a moment, clearly unsure of what to do. One of them, the leader of that squad, stood up.

"It is a royal command from his Royal Highness, the Crown Prince himself, to bring him all the aliens across Planet Vegeta. We are only doing our job to obey his order, even if we must do it by force."

"What did you say? Prince Vegeta ordered you to do this?" Broly was surprised. Hearing his best friend's name out again, he automatically seeked out the Saiyan Prince's ki signature and felt Vegeta's ominous bloodlust. Broly gasped as his fists shook on his sides, suddenly feeling that inner Saiyan drive to kill.

No... This can't be happening. Kakarot's theory must be correct. Vegeta was slowly becoming like him.

Basing on how he could sense Vegeta's thirst for blood, it only meant that his orders about bringing the aliens to him was a way for him to satisfy his desire to kill. He's literally doing the same things Broly had done in order to force himself to transform into a Super Saiyan since the myth portrayed that the Legendary figure as a bloodthirsty and violent warrior.

Just as how he killed over nine thousand of Vegeta's clones...

Broly shook his head. No! This must not happen. This is all wrong! Vegeta was not on the right path! He didn't wish for Vegeta to become like him!

"Why are you taking these aliens to him? What's the reason?"

"Sorry but we have no obligations to answer a traitor like you."

Broly's eyes narrowed at those words. Feeling insulted, a gust of wind suddenly blew around him for a short moment. A warning.

The lady and her friend were as bewildered as the Saiyan soldiers at the sudden but momentary burst of unbelievable power.

"You don't know anything so you don't have a right to call me a traitor." Broly growled. "I'll give you your last chance. Let the aliens go and leave. I don't care if this is Prince Vegeta's royal command or not. I will have to stop you from doing any harm to these aliens."

~=o-O-o=~

Meanwhile, Bulma was coming home when she saw how a group of Saiyans wearing the Royal forces' uniforms drag her entire family, including her father's helper, Yamcha, out of their home. She watched as Yamcha tried to fight back against the strong clutches of the cruel Saiyan soldiers. The man holding Yamcha broke both of his legs to force him down the ground, the Earthling screamed in agony. Bulma couldn't take it. Just what the hell is happening? She was about to rescue them when a pair of powerful arms pulled her back into the darkness, one of her captor's hand shut her mouth so to stifle her screams. She tried her best to free herself but those arms felt like thick iron clinging against her body.

"Hush, woman. It's us." she heard Raditz hissed. Bulma frantically searched for him and saw the long haired Saiyan and his brother, along with his girlfriend, Chichi, who was luckily along with Kakarot by the time Vegeta ordered the Royal Forces so they were able to rescue and protect her. Good thing that Chichi has black hair and black eyes so she wasn't that suspicious to the Saiyans. Still, she wore a turban over her head to hide her straight hair since the Saiyans have spiky hair.

"Quiet down, Bulma. You wouldn't want to gain the other's attention." Kakarot said in a low voice.

"What is happening? Those are soldiers from the Planet Vegeta Royal Forces, right? Where are they taking my family?"

Raditz and Kakarot didn't know how to explain to Bulma about how Vegeta was planning to kill every single alien across the planet in exchange for his younger brother's life.

"Your family, along with all aliens across Planet Vegeta, will be taken to the Royal Palace to face the Royal Family..." Chichi explained to her in a low voice. "The King and the Crown Prince received Prince Tarble's remains along with a letter from the alien rebels."

"What? Prince Tarble's... Dead?!" Bulma gasped at her friend.

"They've incurred the Royal Family's wrath by killing Prince Tarble. If Prince Vegeta alone was terrifying enough to deal with, now with His Majesty on his side, there's nothing to stop them both. They are not going to stop until they find the aliens responsible for the death of the second prince." Kakarot further explained.

"Are you telling me that Vegeta and his father are planning to kill all aliens in exchange for Tarble's death?!"

Raditz and Kakarot lowered their eyes with a look of uncertainty on them and no one dared to answer.

"So... Am I correct? Vegeta is going to kill us all?" Bulma asked.

"Nobody said he's going to kill them." Raditz defended.

"Then what is his reason to drag innocents into this mess?!" Bulma demanded them. "My family is innocent! If you're telling me that Vegeta is going after all aliens, then even other innocent people are being dragged to him as well! I'm sure that he's planning to kill them all. I can feel him inside of me... I can hear his cries for vengeance... He's going to kill them all!"

She got that right, damn it. There's no secret to hide from this woman when it comes to Vegeta. Perhaps, it has something to do with the bond they shared when the two of them mated, because of that Bulma was able to tell what Vegeta was planning to do.

Bulma approached Kakarot and pulled him close to her. "Please take me to Vegeta. I need to calm him down before he do something unforgivable. I have to stop him!"

"Are you an idiot?! How the hell are you planning to stop Vegeta again? Cry for him to stop again like you did last time?! You had a lucky chance that one time he went berserk on Paragus and Kabu but I doubt it would affect him the same way again!" Raditz argued.

Yet, Bulma remained as obstinate as she could. She knew that no one will be able to stop the Prince of all Saiyans from his rampage, probably not even her since he's completely forgotten about her by now. But still, she had no other choice. If she truly wants to save her family then she must find a way to do so.

"Please, I will do my best." she pleaded them. "Remember, I hold the key to Vegeta's heart. I can stop him."

The Saiyan Brothers stared at her in incredulity, shaking their heads at her unbelievable stubbornness. They realized how this nature of hers was no different from their Crown Prince's adamance at all.

"Fine. Do what you like, see if we care!" Raditz shouted at her, turning his back into her.

"Now, now..." Kakarot said, trying to calm the two down. He turned to Bulma and said, "We will do as you wish. After all, we believed that Vegeta still has his feelings for you despite losing his memory. He was just being obdurate about it for some reason."

"Thank you." Bulma smiled at him. Kakarot grinned back and offered her his hand. He held Chichi's hand with the other.

"Raditz, come on." Kakarot invited.

Raditz frowned to himself before grunting in submission, reluctantly grabbing into his brother's shoulder before they disappeared to thin air due to Kakarot using his Instant Transmission Technique.

~=o-O-o=~

Vegeta gazed down at the contraptions being presented to him in the courtyard. Several blueprints and prototypes of machines and weaponry, boxes of capsules and mechanical tools. The Royal Forces have gathered them from a laboratory within the Briefs' household. Not far behind them, Doctor Briefs was being held captive, along with his wife and his first born daughter.

The Briefs stared at the Crown Prince of all Saiyans, feeling hopeless. They have heard from Bulma's Saiyan friends how he's lost his memories of her. They didn't have any idea if Vegeta remember who they are. The prince had suspected them to be part of the rebels though not directly involved with the plans of rebellion, he found out that Doctor Briefs provided materials to them, such as these Hoi-Poi Capsules. They have also indirectly helped with the revival of the Project Densetsu when they thought it was the King's order due to Paragus' traitorous plans.

The forces failed to find Doctor Gero and his family. Because of that, Prince Vegeta ordered to put the Briefs to prison to be interrogated and to use them as bait instead until the soldiers find their companions. He's saving them for last.

For the meantime, he'll make an example for the rest of the aliens, a declaration of war against them. He decided not to show any mercy anymore, even to the innocents and younglings as payment for the blood of his impeccable younger brother. He unleashed his killer instincts and reveled in his blood feast.

~=o-O-o=~

Vegeta unleashed a terrifying show of blood shed as he poured his wrath among the alien populace. Once again, he was in the state of blissfulness and crazed, uncontrollable bloodlust as he relished in the screams and cries of agony he poured upon each of them. The excitement remained even as he finished. He felt his heart pound in anticipation and his power spiral out of control within him.

As he did so, he concentrated all the rage, frustration, desire for power, vengeance and justice for his brother, everything he had and turned all of these feelings into his power, forcing his legendary awakening. However, it was all but futile. His body simply wasn't ready to contain the power just yet. As soon as he exploded into the golden warrior, he suddenly heard a crying voice in his head telling him to stop, and then the legendary power he was so close to reaching out quickly diminished.

He swore viciously just as his knees fell into the concrete. Panting, exhausted. What the hell is that damn voice?! Wondering where it came from, Bulma's face suddenly came into his mind. Her eyes filled with her tears.

His hands curled into shaking fists and his teeth gritted in his fury. He finally understood the reason for such an error on his part and he knew he has to eliminate it now.

Vegeta rose from his kneeling position, surrounded by hundreds of alien corpses he just mercilessly killed. Without any regret or remorse, he turned around and sauntered back to his training room. After having her family arrested, he knew Bulma would be coming for him anytime soon.

He will wait for her there.

~=o-O-o=~

As soon they appeared at the Palace, Kakarot and Raditz quickly pulled Bulma into the shadows so no Saiyan would see her. There was a riot in the courtyard, the final screams of terror echoed throughout the Palace. Kakarot and Raditz felt Vegeta's bloodlust getting out of control. His rage and his powers spiralling just as violent as it was. Kakarot left their hide-out to look for something Bulma could wear as a disguise in order to conceal her blue hair. He found one dead, female Saiyan who was pushed away near his direction after being caught by Vegeta's release of powerful shock wave when he tried to transform into a Super Saiyan. The impact of the blast accidentally killed her. By her clothes, she was one of the lower-class Saiyans who became a servant to the Crown Prince. Good thing about her clothes was that she was wearing a hijab over her head as well.

Kakarot's eyes narrowed at the sight of a dead fellowmen. Even Saiyans like themselves are being killed recklessly too. Vegeta's rampage is getting out of control now! If this goes on then there's no doubt that Bardock's vision would eventually come true.

All of Vegeta's reckless violence has gone far more than enough it's completely unforgivable. How could their counted savior become the one to destroy them all? Kakarot couldn't take it any longer.

With his hands closing into shaking fists, Kakarot came to a resolution. He recalled his conversation with Broly the other day and thought it is time for him to confront Vegeta about this.

He pulled the dead servant girl into the shadows and told Bulma to take her clothes and wear them. Bulma recognized her being one of the young women who would come to Prince Vegeta to dress him up in the morning. (See Episode 15) She swallowed her fear, whispered a small prayer and apology for what she was doing to the Saiyan and awkwardly took off the servant's clothes and put it on herself. Raditz and Kakarot were not far behind her, though they were looking away from her due to her senseless privacy (senseless according to Saiyan standards) in order to be near her so they could protect her from the guards commanded by their ruthless prince.

Their silence was interrupted when Raditz's scouter rang, a signal that the Crown Prince of all Saiyans was calling him. Raditz looked at his brother for a moment, nodded before he decided to answer their leader's call.

"I know you are with your blue-haired woman, Raditz." Prince Vegeta said with a seething tone on the other line. A chill of horror ran up Raditz's spine. Of course, the prince can sense for their ki and know exactly where they are. There's no way out even if he tried to lie about it.

"Yes, your highness." Raditz responded, trying his best to hide his fear.

"Good. Now, bring her to me. I will be waiting for her in the Gravity Room. Tell her not to make me wait for too long or her family might pay the price with their lives."

Then the prince cut off the conversation, not even letting Raditz say a word of reply.

"What did he say?" asked Kakarot as if anticipating what's to happen next in a cliffhanger of a suspense show.

"Bring Bulma to him. He's waiting in the Gravity Room." Raditz answered. "We should go, Bulma. Quickly. He's threatening to kill your family if you make him wait."

"What?!"

Raditz and Kakarot knew what the prince was planning to do. They feared for her life but they have to believe that Bulma has the chance of softening the Prince's hardened heart.

"Good luck, Bulma. Do your best, use all necessary things to force him to remember you. But remember this, if Vegeta decided hurt you, you should get out of there alive and run back to us. If you failed there, we will back you up even if it meant fighting Vegeta." Kakarot supported. Bulma nodded in response to his encouragements but was surprised by the offer.

"What are you saying now, Kakarot?!" Raditz shouted in protest, whirling around. "If we go against Vegeta, we will both be killed!"

"I know that." Kakarot responded firmly. "But Vegeta's violence has gone far too much. If Bulma cannot to stop him, then it would leave me no other choice but to punch him hard on the face. I'd rather die trying to bring him back to his senses just to stop dad's visions from happening than see Vegeta fall into darkness out of his own hatred. I will do whatever it takes to bring him back to us, even if I must fight him to death."

Raditz can understand why his younger brother was being like this. Of course, their father's ominous visions of the future would eventually come true if Vegeta continues to act this way. They must put a stop to his rampage so they can prevent that kind of situation.

"And if you still fail?" the older Saiyan asked.

"Then there's nothing else we can do about it. If that happens, I will renounce my position of being his General and leave Planet Vegeta on my own accord. I will train to get stronger so I can have whatever it takes to stop him once and for all. That is if I am still alive, of course."

Raditz stared at his brother as if he just grew a second head. Would it be even possible for Kakarot to surpass the might of the Crown Prince of all Saiyans? He can see why Bardock saw that the role of becoming the savior of the Saiyans was passed into him after Vegeta became such an uncontrollable monster.

Is Kakarot the one meant to be the chosen one now? Raditz wondered to himself.

Kakarot turned to him and said, "Of course not. I do not plan on stealing what rightfully was Vegeta's role. I'm just here to bring him back so he can fulfill his true mission to his people. That's what I am planning to do."

Raditz turned away, flustered. "Would you like to stop reading at other people's minds?!" he complained.

"I was only curious why you're staring at me that way."

"Forget about that. Prince Vegeta is waiting!" Raditz reminded them. "Oh, and Kakarot..." his tone suddenly went down. He turned his head over his left shoulder and said. "I will go with you."

"Huh?"

"I will go with you and we will bring Vegeta back with us. No matter what it takes."

Kakarot smiled. "Thank you, Raditz-niisan."

Bulma watched at the brothers as they made their decision. She remembered that time when Vegeta told her as Sadara, how his Generals would fight to protect their Crown Prince no matter what happens. (See Episode 4). When she asked him to be on her side when she faced Prince Vegeta, he warned her that as a General who swore his loyalty to the Crown Prince, he would be there to be her opponent. It's ironic for her to learn that the same loyalty is the reason why these two Generals are going to fight alongside her against Prince Vegeta.

As she walked towards the Crown Prince's training room, she realized that this is the battle Vegeta and Cabbe trained her for, for almost three months. (See Episodes 6-8). The battle that she thought would never come again after she failed the first time when Vegeta revealed to her the truth to his true identity (See Episode 10), but this battle is one of survival, her family's lives are at the stake. She has to find a way to win against the Crown Prince of all Saiyans no matter what!

~=o-O-o=~

Vegeta patiently waited for Bulma to appear before him in the Gravity Room. In his mind, the memories he has regained in the past days have been playing over. Though he could not understand any of it, and knew that he was happy with most of it, something within him was telling him to rid of all those unnecessary things completely. Truth be told, he never anticipated to suffer from such things because no Saiyan has ever regained his lost memories before. He was the first one to do so. Was it because there were still some feelings of petty attachments that remained inside his cold, hateful heart left by those wretched memories?

No matter. He has to find a way to throw it all away. He has no need for such things hindering him from his goal of becoming the Legendary Super Saiyan and the most powerful warrior in the universe. That is the reason why he's used this opportunity to bait the woman towards him and end this foolishness once and for all.

"How could you have my family arrested?! They are innocent!"

Just as he predicted, Bulma arrived like a furious beast, filled in unimaginable anger. Oh look at how mad she was! Those fiery blue eyes igniting with rage and sorrow made his heart pound with sadistic excitement.

He could sense that Kakarot and Raditz, along with the Earthling cook the younger general was fond of, were outside the training room. They decided to step out of their way and wait outside. Good thing the room was made to be soundproof so they won't be hearing any of what may happen here.

"Innocent?" he repeated coldly, crossing his arms over his white chestplate with an arrogant smirk. "Your father was caught helping the alien rebels with his inventions, plotting to destroy the Saiyan Kingdom. He shall be punished for conspiring with the rebel's plans of rebellion and treason! Just wait until I see those filthy traitors. They shall pay dearly for what they did to my brother! They should have made sure that I was dead, because once I return for payback, I will show them no mercy!"

The appalled Bulma couldn't believe those vile words seething with rage and desire for revenge coming from him. What is happening to him?!

"How could you turn out to be such a monster? I know you! This isn't you at all!" Bulma shouted.

"Monster?" Vegeta repeated with a sarcastic tone and a wide, menacing smirk. His eyes held a psychotic look before he threw his head back and let out a loud, boisterous, villainous laugh. "Hahahaha! Ahahahaha!"

"What's so funny?" Bulma demanded angrily.

He caught his breath as he gradually lowered his chin, still with that creepy looking smile.

"Woman, I have no idea how foolish you are. Come on now, your father was arrested because he was part of the rebels. If he is truly innocent just as what you were saying and proved that he isn't guilty of any crime against the Saiyan Kingdom, then he will be fine. You shouldn't worry about such petty things." he said, his tone suddenly turned suspiciously kind.

Vegeta stepped forward to her but immediately halted his footsteps when he found her pulling out a hoi-poi capsule from her pocket, squeezed it until it puffed into the pink ray gun she just used to shoot him and Raditz yesterday. Without any hesitation, Bulma courageously raised the ray gun and pointed it towards him, glaring at him fearlessly. This caused Vegeta's earlier sarcastic mood to change into surprise.

"Don't come any closer, you monster, or I will kill you!" she hissed at him.

Vegeta just stared at her with mouth slightly opened, waiting... The blazing fire on her blue eyes told him she was more than serious.

"Your tongue is as dangerous as you are, Vegeta. With one command from you, my father, my entire family, even myself could be slaughtered anytime!" Bulma roared. "You've changed a lot ever since that night Paragus almost killed you. I know all you think about is revenge against all those who did you wrong. The Prime Minister, Broly, the rebels. Tell me, Vegeta, have you also forgotten who you are for the sake of vengeance? Did you really forget all about me because of that?!" she demanded.

She stood up against him firmly, like a tough tree enduring the powerful winds of a cataclysmic typhoon threatening to blow her away anytime. Despite her shaking legs, she tried to ignore her fear creeping into her heart. She already knew the heartbreaking answer to her questions yet she didn't know why she still wanted to hear it from him. She was at the point of no return.

"Answer me!" Bulma shouted.

With that, Vegeta's surprise shifted to his default expression. That cold, mean looking face devoid of any emotion.

"Hmph! I thought I already told you, woman. I'm not the same person as you've known before. The Vegeta you've kept on talking about was already long dead." he responded with an icy tone, not caring what his words would probably cause her.

At those words, Bulma's already broken heart, shattered into smaller pieces. What does he mean by dead? A dead heart? Did his heart die after what has happened in the cavern? Is that the reason why he's become so cold and heartless?

Perhaps, he was right about that. Bulma knew that the Vegeta in front of her was not the same Vegeta she fell in-love with. But for him to say he's dead?

As if answering her earlier question, Vegeta continued. Bulma didn't want to listen but his words seemed to penetrate the barriers of her mind. She cannot accept his words at all but they were inescapable. Vegeta knew she didn't want to hear his words anymore for it too much for her to bear any longer but he didn't care about her feelings at all.

"I am the beast that has been asleep within him for so many years. The foolish and pathetic child you have met have perished in this world. I am the prince of all Saiyans, the real Vegeta the Fourth. I have no use for foolish emotions and petty attachments which would hinder me from my true potential and what I must become. Perhaps, that is the reason why I have no memories of you at all. Do you even know what that means?"

No, she didn't even want to think about it. She inwardly hoped that Vegeta would shut his trap up now.

"I deemed you as something useless!"

At those cruel words, the remnants of Bulma's already wrecked heart broke once more. She stared at Vegeta's cold, stoic face, wide eyed and completely shaken from the inside.

So that was his answer. She demanded him to answer her questions and he gave her one. He responded with the hard, painful truth.

A wide, evil smirk stretched across Vegeta's lips and his eyes suddenly became crazed again. This time, bloodlust filled his mind, making his black irises glow an ominous crimson.

"There! I gave you the answer you wanted, woman. Now then, if you are going to shoot that thing, then be my guest... Do it!" he ordered her with a challenging tone, then his voice suddenly went down, a cold, ominous threat.

"However..."

With one swift movement, Vegeta waved his right hand. Blue tendrils of electricity snapped off his hands as he manipulated iron dust in the wind and collected them in his hand to create the deadly iron sand sword with his power and pointed its vibrating edge an inch away from her right carotid artery with no hesitation at all.

"...I'll see to it that you are headless before you could pull that trigger!"

In order to reach his goal, Vegeta decided to permanently eliminate the thing he strongly believed was hindering him from becoming the Legendary Super Saiyan.

And that's none other than Bulma herself.
