I wonder where you are
Just thinking about the place
Where we used to be
Makes me tremble

I can't bring it close
But I can't erase these feelings
I get overwhelmed as if it's love
But then I keep aching because of this longing

Some days, you
Some days, you smile
My heart burns up too much
For me to just look at you from afar
So I want to be close to you
Just once more

I can't say it out loud
But I can't quietly erase these feelings
I feel happy as if I can do anything
But then I come crashing down, swallowing my tears

Some days, you
Some days, you cry
It's too hard for me
To wish for your happiness
So I want to go next to you
Just once more

Every day, my heart changes
I don't know what to say
If only I could see you
I hope I can be
A memory that overwhelms you whenever you think about me

Some days, you
Some days, I draw you out
It's way too hard
To just ignore and endure
So I have to follow my heart
And feel so sad

Some days, you
Some days, I pray
It's so sad
To love you by myself
So please come and wipe away
These flowing tears...

Episode 29
The Blood of the Super Saiyan Awakens!

Loving someone is difficult. It's harder when you wait for that someone to love you back. They say that when you love someone, you experience intense pain, more than enough to break both your heart and soul. But nobody deserves this kind of pain, you are only hurt because you loved that someone more than what they deserved. Then, you realize that the most painful thing when you love someone is when you leave.

The opposite of love isn't hate... It's leaving.

She knows how much she yearns for him, she loves him but she can't be near him anymore.

It's over.

Bulma stared with a distant look upon her doleful blue eyes at the open space in front of her inside Raditz's room. She silently sat motionless on his bed, completely spaced out, almost lifeless. In her right hand, she held the chain where her key pendant dangled. She just realized that the broken golden chain was fixed and that the locket was gone.

"You promised Vegeta that you will keep that key to his heart no matter what, right?"

Kakarot's words when he handed this thing over to her repeated in her clouded mind.

Bulma slowly raised the chain and held the key pendant with her other hand, running her thumb over its moon and star design and gazed at it for a long moment. She thought how it's useless for her to keep holding into this thing any longer if it can't bring Vegeta back to her.

Tears of sadness fell from her eyes as she decided that this could be her farewell to him. It was such a regret that after everything they've done together, that it would end like this. She's just tired of it, of all the hurt she has suffered throughout their relationship. She couldn't just wait for him any longer. She couldn't take the cruel words he mercilessly told her. This relationship is definitely hopeless since the beginning yet they tried to stubbornly fight against all odds. She never trusted him but he was especially adamant. And after all that he did for her, she began to trust him even more. She has given everything to him by now, believed all his promises that he will never give up on her, that he will fight for her and after he is done with his mission to his people, that he will come back to her so they can be together forever.

And Vegeta has thrown those memories and promises away just like that. Bulma never felt so betrayed.

Farewell, Vegeta.

~=o-O-o=~

Under the moonlight, Bardock and his sons stood several feet away from their home. Surrounded by the darkness of the forest, only illuminated by the moon's radiance.

"So the Royal brat has finally regained his lost memories, eh?" Bardock spoke, side-glancing at Kakarot.

"Yes, dad. Though he didn't wish to let Bulma know about this." Kakarot said.

"And the woman wishes to leave Planet Vegeta once the royal brat decides to release her family?"

Raditz responded, "We cannot blame her not after what Vegeta did. It's a good thing that Kakarot was brave enough to stand against him and knocked some sense into that hard head of his."

With that, Bardock was shocked. He whirled towards Raditz and gasped in disbelief, "Really? Kakarot did that?"

The Saiyan seer was unable to believe that his son was able to do that. He turned his eyes towards Kakarot, who was timidly rubbing the back of his head. "Is it true?" he asked.

"I can't help it, dad. I just thought Vegeta was being too much and that I needed to confront him before it gets too late..." Kakarot mumbled, looking at the ground.

Feeling immensely proud of his offspring, he commended Kakarot for the courage. Bardock laughed out loud before he smirked proudly at his son, "I wish I saw you did that. You made me proud, my son."

Kakarot's face reddened with embarrassment, not used to his father praising him that way. Raditz looked away, feeling quite jealous.

As if Bardock knew how Raditz was feeling, he turned to his eldest son. "You too, Raditz. I know you did your best with protecting your brother, the royal brat and his woman. I am proud with the both of you."

Raditz was flustered before he turned away, "Enough of this, dad! It's embarrassing!" he yelled back, turning away to hide his blushing face. After a while, he finally asked in a gruff voice. "So what are we going to do now?"

Bardock looked up into the stars. "For now, let's leave them be. The woman needed to think alone and let's give her the privacy she wants. We cannot do anything about those two. We better not involve ourselves with their own problems and let Vegeta suffer the consequences of the mess he did and may this be a lesson to him. Let's just hope it won't be too late when he decides to reconcile with her."

"I can't imagine Vegeta ever apologizing for what he did, especially when he sees it's not his fault that he got amnesia. That rascal's pride is just way too much." Raditz grunted.

Kakarot sighed to himself. He inwardly planned that he must speak about Bulma's plan of leaving Planet Vegeta to the Saiyan Prince by tomorrow.

~=o-O-o=~

In such a short amount of time as he trained overnight, Vegeta was finally able to move around swiftly across the Gravity Room under the intense pull of 30Gs. He moved with perfect grace and speed as he performed several katas in the open air, surrounded by a simulated environment of a rocky field, scattered with towering rocky pillars and sand in an arid landscape. Here, it was dry and torrid, with temperatures rising up to a nearly hundred degrees. The air was also dense and hot, making it hard for him to breath. While it first bothered him a few hours ago, training in here made him quickly adapt to the vicious conditions of the room due to its amazing environment simulator. Now, he's able to freely move around in superhuman speed without much difficulty, pliantly punching and kicking the surrounding rock pillars and effortlessly reducing them into dust with his unrestrained Saiyan strength, flipping around gracefully in the air and lissomely land on the searing ground.

By sunrise, Vegeta received a report from Nappa that Tarble is about to be sent to his final rest. The Royal House continued to mourn about the Second Prince's death. Despite being exiled for mating with an alien slave, King Vegeta still honored and prepared his son a proper cremation. Prince Vegeta paused in his training to see his younger brother's remains for the last time before it was burned to ashes. He ordered Nappa to pick some of the Diose Bejiita flowers in his meadow to offer his brother while he prepared himself. Nappa did as he was commanded.

Vegeta took a shower and changed his training clothes to a much proper attire for honoring a Saiyan Royal's death. He was dressed with a black colored long sleeved jumpsuit with mandarin collar, detailed stitches and padding, black and gold armor without the shoulder and crouch pads over it. The crimson symbol of the Saiyan Royal House embedded on his left chest plate. The maids carefully pinned his scarlet cape around his neck, attached with a golden medallion where the same Royal symbol is engraved. He also donned his usual white gloves and golden tipped white boots.

Done with his garb, Prince Vegeta took the flowers from Nappa and proceeded to the courtyard where his father, all workers who came from the Palace of the Second Prince and were eventually transferred to the Crown Prince's Palace, and some media waited and honored Tarble. The Second Prince was laying peacefully in an open casket, surrounded with purple flowers, Diose Iris Lilium that symbolized an honorable warrior death to the Saiyans.

Vegeta treaded towards his younger brother's bier and stared at the peaceful sleep Tarble was in. He raised his right hand to touch his sibling's face before he put his palm over Tarble's forehead and closed his eyes in concentration. Using his power of telepathy and electricity manipulation, he scoured through Tarble's memories before his final moments...

In Tarble's perspective, he was glad to find his older brother's farewell letter to him. He embraced Gure before he rode in his spacepod. As they launched in space, he eventually fell into a cryogenic sleep. The next moment, he heard a loud explosion and he was jolted awake by the sound. He eventually realized he was crash landing on some rocky planet. After that unexpected crash, he painfully crawled out of the burning debris left by his now destroyed spacepod. He was suddenly and roughly pulled out of the debris. In his blurring vision, he could see shapes of people looking down on him, shouting distinctly at each other. Are they arguing? He cannot make any of their words. He was weak, his vision blurry and his ears were ringing. What did just happened? How many days have already passed since he left Planet Vegeta? Who are these people? He was confused and afraid. He thought of Onio and Gure. Where are they? He moved his eyes around, panicking. He didn't see any of them.

"No! Gure! Onio! What happened to them?! Where are they?" his panicking thoughts filled him.

He was pulled roughly in the hair by a burly man. He was chuckling in an evil way and Tarble could only fear for his life. His cruel captor turned him around for him to see his intimidating face. Tarble whimpered.

The nameless alien man grinned mercilessly at his captive. "Aren't you going to cry out for help from your big brother? I heard he's overly protective of you. If he truly cared about you, he shouldn't have let you leave like that, away from his protection, knowing how weak you are."

"Niisan..!" Tarble suddenly remembered his brother. Why are these people looking for his older brother? Why are they challenging Vegeta to come to them?

The man continued, "But then... He was truly nothing but a selfish, pompous fool! Haven't you wondered why he simply let you leave like that? I'm pretty sure it was because he wanted all of your father's royal inheritances to be only his alone. He knows that if you mated with that alien slave, all your rights for the throne will be taken away."

"My brother's not like that! He may be selfish, prideful and ambitious but I know he cared so much for me! He's not like that!" Tarble defended.

"Oooh? You defend a cold, ruthless murderer like him? Do you honestly think we would believe that a monster such as him has a part in him that truly cared? Ha! Don't make me laugh! Given his notoriously bloody reputation across the galaxy, I am sure he will never come all the way in here to save your pathetic little ass."

"I am not expecting him to rescue me. After all, I am the one who told him that I will not be needing his protection any longer."

Tarble recalled his resolve to never depend on the strength of his older brother and to stand up on his own two feet. With that, he began to summon his Saiyan Power within him and use it to fight back on his own. He seeked his motivation in the image of his older brother. He summoned forth his courage and the hidden powers within himself, and released them in a powerful maelstrom of Saiyan power!

Using his captor's surprise as a chance to attack, he launched a relentless flurry of heavy attacks towards the larger alien. He had let his inner Saiyan drive to control him, the rage he was feeling at not knowing Gure and Onio's fates. Their blatant insults at him and the pride of his older brother. As he unleashed an unrestrained Galick Gun towards his captor, Tarble realized that something was rendering his power down to zero. Once he was completely powerless, he was eventually fettered with ki restrainers, into a confinement cell where he was left to suffer in both hunger and the gnawing pain of the energy whip as revenge of his captor who he has almost beaten to death. For several days, he was tortured without mercy. Despite being mocked to call for his older brother or his father's or his entire people's help, Tarble adamantly refused, though deep inside he truly wished to see his family again, at least before he dies in here.

In his last moments, he heard his captors cursing Prince Vegeta greatly while they couldn't believe how he was able to come back alive when he was supposed to be dead. They were talking about how Prince Vegeta had also ruthlessly killed Kabu during an unexpected rampage, then Nasu and held a crippled Paragus in the prison.

They all stared at Tarble, looking like boys planning to squash a bug. "Since they failed to kill the first born, let's take the second's life instead."

Following that was a wave of torture. Tarble was crying out in agony as his captors torment him, stubbornly refusing to call for his big brother's help, until he simply fell into the hands of death.

"Vegeta!"

The Crown Prince was jolted back to reality by his father gripping at his shoulders and shaking him real hard. Vegeta didn't realize that while he was reading his brother's final moments, that he was getting rather emotional. Tears of regret and unspeakable rage had fallen in his blank, glassy eyes and with his anger boiling at its peak, his powers began to rise until he was causing the entire planet to tremble once again. Hurricane like winds had blown away those that were behind him and dark thunder clouds began to gather above them. Vegeta turned to look up to his father, blinking. Silently questioning him what just happened.

"Calm yourself, son! I know how much rage you are feeling right now. Not even I can take it too. But you have to control yourself, or you will end up causing unnecessary destruction during this lamenting moment."

Realizing what he was doing, Vegeta ought to gain control over his power and emotions, and once he was calm, the winds and the quaking stopped. The clouds dissipated to reveal the bright red sky.

"I'm sorry, Papa." he muttered. He turned to his brother and left his bouquet of flowers there. In his dark, hateful mind, he swore that after this mess, he would find those filthy men who did this to his brother.

"Do you want the honor of lighting him up or do you wish to stand back and let me do it?" his father asked.

Vegeta frowned, wondering why his father was asking that stupid question. Does he think he cannot take it upon himself to burn his younger brother's remains by himself?

"No. I will do it."

"Then wipe those tears away. I was worried you'll get too emotional again if you do that."

Vegeta was flustered by the King's words. He didn't realize he was actually crying. He quickly wiped his tears away with the back of his gloves. He hissed in irritation. He shouldn't be mourning like this. He knows he has a back up plan to bring his brother and others who were killed because of him back to life one day. But he cannot tell his father about that yet as he was quite unsure of the existence of the Dragon Balls on Planet Namek yet.

Heeding to his father's command, the Crown Prince himself lit his brother's remains with his own power. Father and son, along with their personal attendants, Generals, guards and servants, watched as Tarble's body slowly burn to ashes. After that, Vegeta proceeded with scattering the ashes into the pond as everyone looked on.

Believing that he's not yet able to avenge his brother's death since the leader of the rebels is still on the loose, Prince Vegeta swore to himself once again that when he finds that mastermind of the alien rebels again, he would definitely make him pay for this.

That traitorous doctor...

Also, he silently promised his brother that he would find a way to bring him back to life no matter what.

When he returned to his Palace, Vegeta was told by Kakarot about Bulma wanting to leave the planet. The prince didn't think there was anything surprising about that, considering how he treated her last night. He didn't react like Kakarot was expecting him to be. He simply brushed the report off like it wasn't important to him at all.

"Are you really sure you would just let her leave like that?" Kakarot asked.

"If that's what she wants then let her be. I will not stop her from doing what she thinks is better for her own health."

"You can't be serious about that!" Kakarot gasped in disbelief.

Vegeta pressed, "I thought I told you already! This isn't the time for a reconciliation with her! There is a proper time for that matter!"

Kakarot stepped back, scratching his cheek and shifting his eyes sideways, "Well, yeah. You did say that yesterday. I just thought..." he finally caught up with Vegeta and he suddenly pushed the prince back into the wall. He trapped the stunned Vegeta in between his arms and he peered closer, staring at him eye to eye.

"What the hell are you trying to do, clown?!" Vegeta shouted at him.

"Kakarot, are you nuts?!" Raditz scolded at his brother anxiously.

"Don't tell me you think you have dominated me just because you got a cheap, lucky shot at me last night! Let me go right now!" Vegeta warned his persistent General.

"Listen to me first, would you?" Kakarot insisted. "Are you really serious with just letting Bulma leave like that? It may already be too late when you finish your mission, you know. You may not be able to see her again if you don't talk to her about the truth."

Grunting in annoyance, Vegeta pushed Kakarot off him as he yelled, "Aargh! How many times should I repeat myself to you?! You know that I have a lot of other matters to take care of and prioritize first rather than wasting my time to woo, Kakarot!"

Kakarot stumbled backwards and fell to his behind at the force of the prince's strength. "Aw! That really hurts! Can't you be a little more gentle, Vegeta?"

"Shut up!" Vegeta spat at him as he stomped his way back to his room when he saw one of the guards he commanded yesterday to search for the traitorous doctor waiting for him at the hallway. The guard who introduced himself as Renkon, was waiting for him to return. Renkon bowed humbly before the heir to the throne as soon as he saw him.

Vegeta became flustered at the sight of the man, embarrassed that he might have seen what Kakarot just did to him earlier. Turning his head over his shoulder, he gave Kakarot a portentous glare. One that meant death.

Then a thunderous sound suddenly exploded, followed by Kakarot's scream of agony.

Nappa, Raditz and Renkon's jaws dropped at what just happened as they all gaped at their indignant Crown Prince, who just mercilessly electrocuted Kakarot. Electric sparks of his blue ki cackle around his form. Turning around with a scary face and a throbbing vein in his wide forehead, he indignantly commanded everyone to follow him inside his private quarters, almost leaving a twitching Kakarot on the floor.

Once they were all inside the Crown Prince's room, Vegeta sat on his cushion seat with a deep scowl on his face, while the terrified Nappa, Raditz and the beaten up Kakarot stood behind him. Renkon knelt in front of the prince, lowered his head to avoid seeing that scary look and reported in a stuttering manner about how he was unsure if the person the Crown Prince was looking for was among the remaining cadavers collected in the courtyard yesterday.

"Your Highness. Among the corpses left in the scene, Doctor Malaka was nowhere to be found. Perhaps, you could have accidentally blew him up to atoms with a ki blast or something." Renkon told him. He was trying to convince that Vegeta may have destroyed the traitor to atoms.

However, Vegeta was suspicious with the way this royal guard talk. He was stuttering and it's obvious by the way his eyes were lowered uneasily on the ground, the way his hands shook on his sides and that obvious scent of fear the guard was letting out, the prince knew that something was doubtful about the report. He never thought that the reason why the guard was feeling fearful was because of his earlier mood swings.

Truth be told, Vegeta cannot actually remember how he unleashed his beastly wrath yesterday. All he knew was that he was so blinded with his rage and bloodlust that he didn't care who and how he kills his victims. All that mattered to him that time is to satisfy his thirst for vengeance, blood, death and destruction. If he ever accidentally crushed Malaka into smithereens during his rampage, then he guessed he just missed an opportunity of avenging Tarble's death in a much proper way.

He simply glared at the fearful guard with his intimidating glare.

"You're not telling me something else, are you?" he asked.

The guard's eyes immediately shot up to him, wide and shaking. He began to mumble incoherently to himself as he shifted his eyes from left to right. His lips quivering in terror. From the looks of it, he was about to cry.

And then he collapsed on the floor, desperately crying out to beg for mercy. "Our apologies for our incompetency, your Highness!"

Behind Vegeta, Nappa, Kakarot and Raditz stared exchanged glances. The Crown Prince raised an eyebrow at the unexpected apology.

Annoyed at the cowardly way this guard act in front of him, the Royal Crown Prince, Vegeta roared, "What is i-?!" but a hand grabbing his shoulders from behind and pulling him back to his earlier position cut him.

Vegeta turned to give Kakarot a glare. He silently asked him what is that for. Kakarot shook his head and made a look that told the prince to calm down and analyze the guard's actions and energy. The prince let out a sigh to calm himself before returning his attention to Renkon.

"What is it?" Vegeta said in a calmer way.

"While we were searching for Doctor Malaka's missing body, we looked through the collectors of cadavers and cleaners. We failed to find him. We asked the people who are around the Palace if they have seen any signs of him. None knew of his whereabouts either. While doing so, we were suddenly attacked from behind and we were knocked out. When I came into, I found myself in a cabin, in front of the Minister of Justice. The other guards on duty last night whom you didn't command and were supposedly left to guard the prison were also there. We were all caught. According to them, they were brought by force into that place after they heard the former Prime Minister talk to somebody in his prison. Paragus was supposedly alone there. They suspected it to be Doctor Malaka. Because of this, we were threatened by death in case we leak any information about Doctor Malaka's alliance with the opposition to you."

"If you are caught into my enemy's trap, does this mean they sent you to me to lie a report?"

"Yes, your highness." Renkon admitted.

"All guards within the Royal Palace are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Justice. Minister Soi, your boss, is allied to the opposition led by Paragus. So why are you telling me all this?" Vegeta asked suspiciously.

"It... It was because of Broly-sama, your Highness." Renkon answered still in that fearful tone.

"Broly?" Vegeta repeated curiously.

"Yes, your highness. On my way here, I met Broly-sama. He told me to tell you the truth about the rebels and the opposition's plans. Apparently, Prince Tarble's death was caused not by the alien rebels but of the opposition. When Prince Tarble left with his niehre, Nasu immediately sent his men to ambush them before they reach Planet Teketeke. Then they took Prince Tarble as a hostage for months, but they didn't bring him back to Planet Vegeta. They landed on a planet recently conquered and there they kept the Second Prince and tortured him during the last moments of his life. When Paragus failed to assassinate you a week ago, that's when they unleashed their wrath to Prince Tarble. When you killed both Nasu and Kabu, their loyal men only became angered. They called out an alliance across the galaxy, those survivors of your past conquests across the cosmos who wanted vengeance against you. They made a pact with both the opposition and the alien rebels hiding here. You have a lot of enemies waiting, your highness. Your recent rampage with killing the innocents only caused more indignation to rise against you.

"That's why Broly-sama told me this to warn you. Because of your cruel and reckless actions lately, more and more people are taking Broly-sama's side in your upcoming match in the Annual Power Assessment. They are beginning to believe that Broly-sama is the chosen one instead of you. That is why Broly-sama asked me to tell you that you need to control yourself before its too late."

The Saiyan Generals stared at their Crown Prince's back, waiting for his reaction. Vegeta's face was neutral, showing no emotions at all.

Before it's too late? Vegeta doubted that. Perhaps, it's already too late for him to change everything.

"Then let me ask you this one question. Between me and Broly, which side are you going to choose? Don't even think of lying for the sake of saving yourself from my wrath. I want you to tell me the truth." the prince ordered.

Renkon lowered his head to bow before his prince and replied humbly, "My loyalty will always be yours, my Prince. Since I became a Royal Guard, I swore my entire life to protect the Royal Family. I believe that is what Broly-sama wants for all his followers to do because Broly-sama himself is as loyal to you as the rest of your Generals."

"Is that so? Therefore, stay on my side. Do not return to where you came from. I will find a way to release your co-workers caught by Soi. You are my responsibility since it was I who commanded you to search Malaka for me."

"As you wish, your highness."

"You three." Vegeta addressed his Generals behind him.

They stepped forward, "What is it, your highness?"

"Kakarot, take and protect this Saiyan for me. I am sure that he will become a target by Soi and the others in the opposition for spilling the beans to me. Nappa, Raditz, you will come with me and rescue the rest of the guards. I am going to confront Soi and demand him of Malaka's whereabouts."

~=o-O-o=~

Soi was laughing boisterously at his own office. He just learned the betrayal that fool, Renkon, just did to him. Unknown to the lowly guard, Soi installed a nanodevice to Renkon in the shape of a small insect, which attached itself into Renkon's scalp. The nanodevice contained a nano-sized spy camera connected to the tablet Soi was using to stalk Renkon and the Crown Prince.

Other than that...

"Renkon, you fool. Do you honestly think you can just go your way and complain to Prince Vegeta?" Soi chuckled. "It's a disappointment that I failed to inject the nanodevice on Broly as he easily saw through my plan and used an electromagnetic field to destroy it. It's good that he didn't see the one hiding on Renkon's hair though. Those little traitors will definitely pay for betraying the opposition!"

Then he tapped a green button on the tablet's screen, which glowed red when he did. An evil smile crept upon his wide lips.

"I'm sorry, Prince Vegeta, but you won't be saving anyone."

~=o-O-o=~

Renkon abruptly shrieked, as if he was stabbed by an invisible enemy behind his back. This caused Vegeta and his Generals to turn their eyes on him in trepidation. Renkon's body collapsed sidewards into the floor in front of the Crown Prince. Kakarot was quick to move and caught Renkon's head before it hit the floor. For a few tensed moments, with Vegeta loudly demanding what just happened, Raditz telling him to calm down and Nappa suddenly pulling him away into his protective arms, they all watched as Kakarot put his two fingers over Renkon's carotid artery.

"He's dead." Kakarot said, breathlessly.

"W-What?!" Raditz demanded, disbelief in his eyes. "But I didn't see anything attack him!"

"It could be poisoning." Nappa said.

Once the initially yelling Vegeta on Nappa's arms calmed himself down from the shock, he finally spoke, "Poison? Did Soi knows Renkon will betray him? For what reason did he send this guard before me if that's the case?" he questioned. After a moment of thinking it over, he gritted his teeth together, looking completely pissed off.

"Tch!" he shook his head. "No. That's not the case, Nappa."

Vegeta pulled away from Nappa to approach Kakarot and the dead Renkon. The Saiyan guard had his dead eyes opened wide just as his mouth. He lowered himself on the floor and inspected the corpse by himself.

"What are you doing, your highness?" Kakarot asked curiously as he watched the prince do his inspections. He was careful not to incur more of Vegeta's wrath so he began addressing him with politeness again. He watched as Vegeta unceremoniously ripped the armor and the clothes underneath it off until Renkon is naked, but he found nothing.

After a while of not finding anything, Vegeta frowned. Whatever thing Soi attached to Renkon's body was probably hidden inside. He narrowed his eyes, thinking something deeply. After a few seconds, he told Kakarot to stay a few feet away. Not knowing what the prince was planning to do and afraid of being harmed by the prince again, Kakarot stepped back. The prince touched Renkon's bared chest with the palm of his hand, charged up his ki and using his ability to generate and manipulate electricity with his ki, electrocuted the body using his power.

~=o-O-o=~

The video was eventually cut off into static as soon as Soi found Vegeta shocking Renkon's body with electricity.

"Ooh, he's really one smart little brat." Soi mumbled in awe to himself before sighing in disappointment "Well... I guess I should go and hide somewhere safe. I'm sure he'll eventually attack me soon."

~=o-O-o=~

Renkon jolted awake as his body just got electrocuted by Vegeta's power. The Saiyan guard stared at his displeased Crown Prince's hardened eyes, glaring at him coldly. Feeling intense fear at the sight of such scary face, Renkon tried to scurry away from the ruthless prince, afraid he would be on the receiving end of Vegeta's fearsome wrath. However, he quickly realized he was paralyzed by the earlier shock of electricity the prince just did to him.

"Your... Your Highness... What... What did just happen to me?" he asked in an afraid and confused manner, his voice slurring, clearly not knowing what just happened to him. He also realized he was completely naked before the presence of the royalty. He felt complete embrassment at the realization.

Vegeta raised a hand, reaching out towards Renkon's head. Renkon, fearing for his life, squinted his eyes and prepared himself for the painful ripping of his head off the rest of his body.

He realized that Vegeta was playing at his hair, and then removed his hand. It seemed that the prince picked something up from them. Renkon saw that Vegeta was holding something very small in between his index and thumb fingers. A small insect. It can't be a louse, right? He was sure he doesn't have any lice, he knew that other Saiyans won't stop pestering his head about it.

The insect was sparking with tiny bits of electricity. Renkon could smell a small burning scent of wires coming from it.

"What is that?" Kakarot asked.

Vegeta was staring intently at the nano-sized thing in his finger. Focusing his keen Saiyan vision intently into the nanodevice, he realized that the insect shaped device is mainly a spy camera, but also is a carrier of some poisonous substance that is released through a microscopic needle to incapacitate it's target. This explains Renkon's sudden death earlier. Due to the power of his shock, Vegeta knew that it has destroyed the nanodevice's circuits, thus rendering this thing useless anymore. However, with his ability to create and control electromagnetism with his ki energy, there is a chance he can trace the device's connections and know exactly where its signals are being sent to. With one release of his ki, sparks of electricity traced the invisible signals and created the energy path leading to the main source.

"Kakarot, take this guard to the medical tank." he commanded. He turned to glare at Renkon for a moment. Normally, Saiyans who are unable to move or paralyzed are useless to him. He should not bother trying to heal Renkon, he should be killing him by his own hand and give him an honorable death. But instead of telling the guard to prepare for his death, Vegeta told him, "I will deal with you later."

Blue mist of energy enveloped the prince before he disappeared to thin air, using his Hibiktus technique to follow the path of electric field the signals of the nanodevice emitted.

Vegeta appeared on Soi's office, but the Minister of Justice was nowhere to be found there. The signals came to an end with the tablet Soi was using earlier. Vegeta picked the device up and analyzed the application Soi left before he ran away. According to this, nine other nanodevices were connected to this application. Vegeta traced the signals again using his power, leading him to the prison where the rest of the guards he commanded yesterday evening to search for Malaka were kept. They were all lying on the floor, dead. He tried reviving them using his electricity ability, but it's already too late for him to do so. He was only able to save Renkon earlier because he was able to respond that quick to the guard. This pissed him off. He had made new additions to the mountain of corpses who died because of him.

With his rage once again seething up to the surface, Vegeta proceeded into destroying the entire place. Just for the sake of threatening Soi. After causing havoc in the place, he eventually sensed Soi nearby. He probably came out of his hiding place to run for his life. Vegeta teleported to him, only to find Soi caught in the neck by Broly.

Broly looked at him with his neutral expression while the prince stared back at him with a stern look.

For some reason, this scene reminded Vegeta of the scene Broly destroyed ATI 8990 some time ago and due to his trauma, he automatically shouted, "Stop, Broly!"

Broly stared at him in surprise. After a few moments, he lowered Soi to the ground, faced Vegeta, and bowed down before him.

"As you wish, your Highness." Broly obeyed.

Vegeta ignored Broly and approached Soi to deal with the traitorous fool himself. He pulled the Minister towards him by the collar of his armor and seethed, "I gave you a last chance last time, Soi. Don't think I already forgot about that ambush you did to me to set me up that night. I gave you an hour that time but it's been more than a week now, and you still failed to do my royal command. I was hoping you were enjoying the extended time I gave you to think over your misdeeds but it seems that you never learned a thing or two."

He pulled his free arm and unceremoniously punched Soi in his face, nearly destroying the old man's nose and lips. "That is for nearly killing a Saiyan in front of me just now!" and then he kicked Soi once he hit on the ground, causing the Minister to roll against the soil, his face bleeding. "And that is for the lives of the other Saiyan Royal guards you killed in that place!"

Vegeta cruelly planted the heel of his boot against Soi's solar plexus, incapacitating his breathing.

"No! Stop! Please don't kill me, your Highness!" cried out Soi, obviously afraid of his life.

"Okay. No problem with me. But you have to answer me a few questions in exchange for your life." Vegeta told him with a creepy smile. "Oh, by the way, don't think of lying to me. You know I can easily detect if you are telling me the truth or not."

"Y-Yes!"

"Also... Do you honestly think I cannot sense your little toys behind there?"

Soi visibly shrieked, appalled to know that Vegeta knew about the several mechanical nano-insects he just released to attack the supposedly unaware Crown Prince from behind. He was unable to believe that both Broly and Prince Vegeta's senses were impenetrable!

As he warned Soi, Vegeta quickly released a powerful burst of electromagnetic shockwave that exploded all nanodevices around them.

"I'm sorry, your highness! Please forgive me!" Soi screamed in fear.

Vegeta ignored all his flopping around and said in an intimidating tone. "Alright. First question! Where is Malaka?"

"I have no idea." Soi replied automatically. He felt the prince's foot press harder on him and he started screaming.

Broly held his arm and told him, "Your highness, he won't be able to tell you anything if you crush him that way."

Vegeta glared at his former General, "Take your hand off me." he warned the Saiyan.

Out of fear of such ferocious temper, Broly let him go. Vegeta lifted his foot off Soi, who coughed out loud to catch his breath.

"Please believe me! He's probably hiding in his secret hideout. I honestly don't know where that place is. Only Paragus-sama and Nasu were able to enter that place. But I heard it's a huge laboratory hidden underground." Soi finally said after a while.

"Is Malaka the leader of the rebels I was looking for?"

"No!" Soi said. "He's just an informant to us! He updates us with your development in power and provided the Ministry of Science and Technology your updated DNA samples during the run of the Project Denzetsu! At least, that's what I know. His relation to the alien rebels is unknown to me but considering that Malaka is an alien doctor forced to be enlisted in the Royal Medical team after his home planet was purged by the Saiyans, it is likely that he could be one of them."

"Next question! Why did you attack the guards I sent to look for Malaka? Did Paragus order for you to do that?"

"Y-Yes... Paragus-sama got a word from Doctor Malaka about your development in power and that you are getting closer to becoming a Super Saiyan. Doctor Malaka came to warn Paragus-sama of this and the upcoming fulfillment of the Legends through your transformation. They're threatened that if you are able to release the power of the Legendary Super Saiyan and manages to control it, you would eventually get in their way and destroy their plans of overthrowing the Royal family. What is even more threatening to them is the fact that Malaka once saw your hair change color into red while you were recuperating after your loss against the Galactic Empire's soldiers."

"Red hair?"

"There's a speculation that you are not just prophesied to fulfill the Legend of Super Saiyan. They even say that you could even possess the powers of a deity. And that you are the reincarnation of Yamoshi, the figure behind the legends."

"What?" Vegeta spat with a look of doubt.

"They were all threatened because of that. That is why Doctor Malaka told Paragus-sama that they have to set whatever they are planning against you on the day of your Annual Power Assessment. They told me to incapacitate those you have commanded to search for Doctor Malaka to prevent you from knowing whatever that plan is. Doctor Malaka provided me with the nanodevices you just destroyed. They also sent me to take Broly there but as you can see, I failed to do that."

"Really? That's the reason why you killed your fellow Saiyans? Because you are threatened by my power? You are afraid of me learning about your dirty tricks just as what happened with the Project Denzetsu? You guys are real scums, you know that?!"

"Oh dear prince, don't speak as if you never did the same thing. Remember you killed Beets and some other innocent fellow Saiyans watching around while you force Broly to fight you in the Annual Power Assessment."

Vegeta chuckled, "Ooh... That's entirely a different thing."

"How is that any different?!"

"You see... I know it was wrong for me to do that. I never planned to do anything like that before but because you guys have pushed me over the edge, I simply lost control over my own rage. Despite all the killings I did, I have a plan backed up to restore all the lives I have recklessly killed during the time. I don't intend to make them stay dead forever."

"You're crazy! How is that even possible?" Soi gasped.

"Hmm... I guess you'll eventually find it out, when I bring you back to life when the time is right."

Soi blinked, "Eh?"

"We're done here." Vegeta walked away. He halted after a few steps six feet away from Soi, turned around with a glowing index finger pointing at Soi's direction. He fired the Galick Beam towards Soi's heart, killing him instantly.

Broly watched at Vegeta with shocked eyes as the prince killed another one of his enemies. He's shocked not because he was surprised to see Vegeta kill people that way. He's used to see Vegeta do that most of the time. He's just surprised by the plan Vegeta just told Soi. "Are you really serious about that? Are you really planning to bring the dead back to life one day? How are you going to do that?" he asked.

"I have no obligations to answer your questions, Broly." Vegeta replied without looking at him.

Broly stepped forward to grab Vegeta's arm to prevent him from walking away. "Wait..."

The prince froze in his place and waited. Broly was inwardly surprised Vegeta didn't pry his hands off and yell at him for his audacity to touch him.

"Are you doing this rampage because of your goal to become a Super Saiyan? Is that the reason why you are killing people indiscriminately, in hopes of awakening your inner Saiyan drives and force the transformation?" Broly asked.

"What do you think? Don't make me repeat myself." Vegeta responded in his icy tone.

"But-!"

Broly was about to argue about the wrong ways the prince was trying to do but he was immediately cut off by Vegeta raising his hand to stop him. Vegeta didn't want to hear anymore of their scolding. "-You don't need to tell me anything. I had enough from Kakarot yesterday. Don't add to my unnecessary headaches. I'm tired of all the scoldings I got." he quickly defended.

"Did Kakarot tell you what I told him?"

Vegeta nodded. After a few seconds of silence, he finally turned his head to looked up at Broly, his glare finally softening up and then smiled. "Thank you."

Broly's eyes slowly widened in awe. He didn't expect that coming from the prince. "You still trust me." he smiled.

Vegeta frowned, huffing. "Hmph! Don't get the wrong idea! Thanking you for a job well done doesn't mean I have forgiven you for what you did! I do understand what is happening to you and what you've been going through. I know it all ever since we were kids! I also expected that you may one day betray me because you will be forced to do so by your father, though not in the manner it turned out. I hated you for letting yourself be a puppet to your father's whims and yet I have given you the chance to make up your own mind. I even told you so many times about it and yet, you never listened to any of my advices. You've greatly disappointed me for that! I cannot understand how despite all my anger towards you, and how I killed your lowly attendant and threatened your foolish father, can you still remain loyal and protective of me. Just to be frank, I do not entirely trust you but I know I can trust Kakarot's judgment about you."

So Kakarot was correct with his assumptions. Vegeta knew everything. Broly's lips stretched into a warm, relieved smile.

"What are you smiling about?" Vegeta asked him with a threatening tone.

"Nothing." Broly chuckled. "I just thought... I feel the same way about you now."

"Ooh? Did you finally see a reason to fight me?"

"I cannot forgive you for what you did to Beets. My father's life is at your hands so I will do my best to save him from you. Also, I promised someone that I will beat you for what you did to them." Broly said with unfettered determination in his eyes.

"That's good to hear then. I am looking forward to fighting you at your best in the Power Assessment. I hope you've been keeping up with your training. You should be cautious because I am sure to surpass you soon!"

"I am sure that my power is enough to beat you, your Highness."

"Oooh! Really? You sure are confident about that. Very well. I'm excited to see. Don't disappoint me."

Vegeta engulfed his body with his blue energy before teleporting himself back to the Royal clinic to check on Renkon, leaving Broly alone in that place. Once he appeared in the clinic, the Saiyan medics who were previously led by Doctor Malaka explained to him the conditions of the Royal Guard. They said that because Renkon's heart had stopped beating for quite some time due to the poison and that Vegeta had electrocuted him at that state, the man was unable to move due to paralysis. They said that they have successfully removed the poison from his body and that it would take them a few months to cure the Saiyan from his paralysis using both electric and heat treatments to stimulate the nerves and muscles. Vegeta watched Renkon at the medical tank, submerged with the liquid made from the prince's synthetic Saiyan DNA.

Vegeta remembered that time he was struggling for his life after Paragus betrayed him in the cavern. He was sure his heart had stopped beating for a few moments before that resonating light from the full moon start to overflow him. When he tried to get up from the sand at the time, he was unable to do so. He could also be paralyzed just as Renkon is here but he somehow managed to heal himself during all his screamings while the moonlight completely engulfed him, pumping his body with an unexplainable but violent feral power he never had before.

As he looked intently at the liquid, which he knew has fast healing capabilities due to his DNA, he recalled Soi's words earlier. Did Malaka really saw his hair turn red while recuperating inside that thing after his battle with Zarbon and Dodoria? (See Episode 5) What does Soi mean by him possibly possessing the powers of a deity? Come to think of it, Bardock once told him about him eventually transforming into something red. Are there really more transformations aside from the golden warrior, the Legendary Super Saiyan?

"Let him out of the tank." he commanded the doctors after a while.

The medical team, though inwardly questioning the reason for this command, abided by his order. Renkon was pulled out of the liquid and the lid of the tank was lifted. Vegeta stepped into the tank and grabbed Renkon by the shoulders.

"Open your eyes and look at me." he told the Saiyan.

Renkon slowly opened his eyes to stare up at the prince. "Your highness?"

"Your friends... I searched for them but it seems that they all suffered the same fate as you. You are the only lucky one to survive because I was able to electrocute your body before its too late. Because of that, you have been paralyzed. I'm sorry this happened to you because of me."

Renkon was devastated at the news the prince just told him.

"Listen to me, Renkon. We will find a way to bring your friends back to life. I will also try my best to restore you. But I want you to stay by my side and do as I commanded you to do after I successfully heal you."

The medical team, Nappa, Raditz and Kakarot all stared at Vegeta like he has grown a second head.

"What? Heal him? Since when can you do that, your highness?" asked Nappa.

"I wasn't sure." Vegeta replied. "There were two times I was able to subconsciously heal myself using my own power. There was also a time when I unconsciously did it during my time in the medical tank after my battle with Freeza's soldiers. Then were was a time when I tried my hand on healing Broly one time." (See Episode 20)

"Seriously? Unbelievable." Nappa gasped.

Vegeta shrugged his shoulders. He outstretched his right arm forward, his index and middle fingers reaching out and barely touching Renkon's left chest. He closed his eyes, his stern face was fixed in deep concentration. Eventually, the tip of his two stretched fingers begin to be engulfed with a fire-like energy. The color of it was like a fiery crimson flame that burns within the red hot sun.

"What is that?" Raditz inquired the others. "I've never seen him use that kind of energy before. I can't even sense it."

"Yes, it's like it's an entirely different form of ki." Kakarot answered.

The fire-like energy soon began to envelope Renkon's entire body. The completely astounded Royal Guard watched at the Crown Prince as the Royal's energy inundate his form. It feels warm and relaxing, like the soothing feeling of the liquid used in the medical tank. If anything, this kind of power the prince was emanating was completely different from the typically intense and violent destructive energy he would usually let out. This one felt calming and... Divine?

His and everyone's eyes widened in awe when they saw how the Crown Prince's midnight black hair eventually glowed iron hot crimson.

And then, the heat rapidly increased!

Renkon was bewildered by the amount of scorching heat he felt as his body began to burn with the Crown Prince's power. He tried his best to hold back his screams and simply endured the process.

That only happened within five seconds though, before Vegeta collapsed sideways. His crimson colored hair fading back to black. Renkon quickly reached out to the prince to catch him in his arms before he could hit his head on the metal frame of the medical tank.

Snapping out of their shock, Nappa, Kakarot and Raditz quickly tended to the prince. Seeing how Renkon was able to finally move so he could catch the prince only told them that Vegeta was able to heal the guard with that strange power, which eventually sapped him off with his energy and caused him to fall into exhaustion.

Vegeta opened his eyes halfway and asked Renkon in a weak voice, "How do you feel? Did I do it?"

Renkon nodded, smiling in gratitude. "Yes, your highness." As if to prove his words to the prince, Renkon stood up from the tank, carrying Vegeta in his arms. Everyone around them were floored by what just happened.

Vegeta smiled slightly in relief, "Good to know then."

"Did you just transfer your ki to him?" Nappa asked.

"No," Vegeta clarified. "It's almost the same process as how the medical liquid made from my own DNA does during healing process, only in a forced manner. I simply channeled my ki into the central key point of his ki flow, connecting our ki together and then manipulated it through that connection. I took hold of his ki in that same moment and used the opportunity to heal him by letting my ki flow through every part of his body and fixed all unnecessary blocked key points in his system. When everything is done, then I forcefully pulled my ki out of him."

Vegeta turned his eyes to Renkon and silently ordered him to put him down now. Renkon carefully did as he was told. He wobbled a little, feeling extremely tired. Renkon held him up by his shoulder for a moment until Vegeta was able to get a hold of himself. He harshly pushed Renkon off of him.

"You," he called the attention of the medical staff. "Get out." he harshly commanded them. Everyone immediately scurried out of the clinic. "Wait out there until we leave the room."

Once Vegeta and his Generals, including the Royal Guard, Renkon, were the only people left in the room, the Crown Prince turned to his soldiers, who were silently questioning the reason for Vegeta to order everyone else to clear the room.

"I am going to release the Briefs from the brig and consider them innocent." Vegeta finally said.

The four Saiyans stared up at him in shock.

"I have questioned them personally, and including Bulma Briefs' statement, I have reckoned that they truly are not guilty of such crimes against the Saiyan Kingdom. However, the connection they had with me with my relationship with Bulma Briefs, is one thing I cannot let my father and our people think is the reason for this consideration. You have to let them escape on the day of the Annual Power Assessment. Everyone will be busy anticipating the upcoming battle I will have with Broly so they will have something else on their minds. Renkon, on the time of the guards' change of duties for the morning shift, you must open the gate and let them escape. Bring them to the underground tunnel and have Kakarot teleport them out of the Palace and into the Space Port. Raditz, you must go there first and steal a spaceship for them. Assist them out of the Planet Vegeta. Proceed to the plan."

"So we're still going to do that, eh?" Raditz said.

"Of course. I have a duty to fix the mess I created after the upcoming war has ended."

"War? What do you mean by that?"

"On the day of the Annual Power Assessment, Broly and I are scheduled to battle. Since we failed to capture that rotten Malaka, I was told by Soi that the alien rebels' uprising will happen on that same day. Aside from that, my father notified me that Freeza is on his way back here and may appear at the same time."

"W-What?!" his Generals gasped in disbelief. So many enemies lurking and planning to attack the Crown Prince on the same day. Will Vegeta be alright? They wonder.

"Now do you finally see the reason why I blatantly refused your pleas, Kakarot?" Vegeta pointed out, gazing up to his young General with a knowing look.

"Yes, I'm sorry." Kakarot nodded awkwardly, finally understanding.

"No matter. I will return to my training in the Gravity Room. I don't have much time to waste." Vegeta declared. "Whatever they are planning on the day of the Annual Power Assessment, I'll see to it that they will all fail."

Vegeta disappeared to thin air, leaving his Generals and the lone Saiyan guard to themselves.

~=o-O-o=~

Vegeta changed his mourning clothes to a fresh pair of training gear. He donned a simple fitting dark blue tank top, dark spandex shorts, dark grey fingerless gloves and a totally gorgeous looking training boots that combined his signature color scheme of royal blue, white and gold. He proceeded to his Gravity Room, all the while trying his best to ignore and shake off that lofty feeling of uneasiness gnawing at his chest since Kakarot told him that Bulma was going to leave Planet Vegeta.

Once he was inside the incredibly commodious room heavily framed with walls made of the strongest metal in the entire universe, he stood at the center of the room with a rigid stance. In his thoughts burned an ardent resolution. He has to fulfill his mission and triumph in his quest for power so he can finally be with her forever. No matter what, he must surpass what is expected of him.

He began his drills with some warm-up exercises to condition his body. Starting from stretches and then cardiovascular exercise for about ten minutes. Once he's ready to begin, he commanded the AI to activate the Gravity Simulator to his last session which is at 30Gs and augment the pull after a few moments. He went on the calisthenics as the gravity would frequently proliferate. 20,000 air squats, 15,000 sit ups and push ups, 10,000 dips, lunges, pull ups and leg raises, which he made in almost 3 hours (since he possessed superhuman speed). By the time he was done, the gravity pull was at 40Gs. Then he ordered the AI to crank up the hologram, which transformed the room into a simulated harsh environment for him to train in. It also created powerful virtual opponents for him to fight with.

Scorching flames burst out of the floor as the red tiles change into a fiery ground, surrounded by blazing fire that burned the place as if it was the deepest part of hell. Bracing himself for the start of his harsh training, he begins to gather and unleash his power from within himself.

Shouting a potent battlecry as his ki skyrocketed, a dark shadow with red eyes loomed above him. The simulated virtual opponent was about three times his height, easily towering him. It was incredibly hypertrophic, a monster with paling skin covered with pronounced veins all over its body. Its mouth was watering with its yellow, acidic saliva dripping down the ground, dissolving anything it comes in contact with. The gargantuan monster breathed into the flames, creating an army of smaller virtual opponents in humanoid shapes.

As his enemies zoomed in towards him, Vegeta sprinted towards them. As the gravity is higher than his previous one this morning, his speed was heavily affected, almost by half. With each step, he felt the gravity pull weighing on his knees but he eventually regained his footing and continued his charge. The monster spew its acid into him and he quickly leapt upwards to avoid that attack. He was immediately followed by several of the smaller humanoids.

'They're fast!' he noticed.

Vegeta quickly fired an energy blast to push them away but another group was already above him. Sensing their presence, he moved sidewards to dodge a hammerfist meant to hit his back. He whirled around to grab the humanoid's arm and hurled it into its comrades. Something suddenly grappled him from behind, clinching him tight in a hermetic bearhug. It caught him off guard and Vegeta tried to break free from the bastard but due to the lock's impermeability, he found it incredibly difficult. He came to realize that the more he moved, the more it becomes stronger. Vegeta could feel the crushing pain and he screamed out loud in agony. In his instinct, he tried to elbow his captor with his full strength, hopeful that it could either force the bastard to let him go due to the pain it caused or distract it enough for him break free of its grasp and distance himself from it. So he hit the enemy for numerous times but it was useless. It didn't even flinch at all!

Ah yes. It's because they are just simulated virtual opponents. A machine won't feel any pain or fear at all. They just wouldn't badge unless he overpowers their programmed level of strength. Failing to free himself, he desperately raised his ki while he thrashed against the hold of his opponent, doing his best to break free. He screamed louder as he felt his bones break at the increasing pressure. His vision darkened but he sensed the rest of the virtual opponents surround him, several potent energy blasts threatening to blast him. He began to panic even more and he subconsciously raised his ki higher. His blue aura flaring intensely around his body as he gathered his power from the depths of his being.

With a high pitched cry, his aura changed color from blue to neon green then into gold! Then his hair rippled in the air, color shifting from dark to neon green to a glowing yellow in seconds.

The blasts were fired and a powerful explosion occurred as destructive energies clashed together. Then all of a sudden, everything disappeared and the room, along its gravity, turned back to normal. Vegeta fell into the floor, face first and heavily injured. His transformation immediately slipped away from his grasp as the blasts overwhelmed his might, causing him to lose the struggle. Alarms rang throughout the training center and into the medical clinic, notifying the doctors and nearby guards that the Crown Prince is in such a terrible condition.

Vegeta flinched, and cursed to himself. He tried to move, but his body simply refused to. Is he paralyzed? No. He can still feel his fingers twitch as his brain sends a signal for them to move. He's just in too much pain and fatigue. His vision was blurred. He squinted his eyes and gritted his teeth together. He willed himself to get up. He pushed himself off the floor, only to realize that his arms were broken so his efforts were to no avail. He only fell back into the floor.

He angrily cursed through his gritted teeth. He has no time to waste resting in the clinic right now. He tried to get up once again through his sheer willpower alone, trying his best to ignore the gnawing pain that racked his being. He hissed in pain as he pulled himself up, without using his broken arms. He flinched when he felt the stinging pain on his side. His ribs were also broken, three of them has even pierced through his skin and that part was bleeding profusely. His skin from his face down to his chest was blistering with burns from the incredibly scorching blasts the virtual enemies have released. Every single fiber of his muscles ached and trembled, his world spinning. But he cannot afford to give in. These injuries meant nothing to him. He is the Crown Prince of all Saiyans after all!

As soon as he was kneeling upright, he eventually fell sideways, panting. Putting an abrupt pressure of his right arm when he fell was beyond excruciating. He squinted his eyes as unwanted tears fell on them. His body practically wanted him to stop and give in to rest but he won't have it! He was just too stubborn to give in. There were only three days left before the Annual Power Assessment, he cannot waste his time here!

Vegeta tried to get up again, for the third time. It wasn't much until he fell unconscious on the floor. The bleeding was all too much that it caused him to black out. Not to mention that he forced himself to train in such fervish condition after most of his strength was sapped when he healed Renkon earlier.

~=o-O-o=~

Nappa, along with the medics hurried to the aid of the Crown Prince, who was reported to be on a terrible condition after the training accident. King Vegeta immediately rushed to the clinic when Zorn told him about the emergency. They reviewed the camcord video during Vegeta's training to investigate what just happened. The medics pointed out the events that occurred earlier after Vegeta healed Renkon. They also realized that he hasn't slept yet since the events of yesterday and after using most of his energy with curing the Royal guard, it showed that Vegeta has overdid himself during his training despite the tired conditions of his body.

So the unconscious Vegeta was placed in the operation table, the medical team tore his battle worn training clothes off and did a surgery to close the severe wounds where a few of his broken ribs have protruded out. After that, the doctors placed him inside the medical tank to be treated by the healing liquid.

About an hour later, an eruption shook the medical room as Vegeta burst out of the tank. The medics and his Generals sprinted to the room to find a huge hole on the wall, the brand new medical tank busted and Vegeta missing from the scene. Nappa, Raditz, Kakarot and Renkon quickly searched for Vegeta's whereabouts only to find him back on the training room and doing some extreme and intense kata. They wanted to stop him from his harsh training, seeing him struggle with his still injured physique. He was only wearing his training shorts and boots. They saw his upper body covered with bandages he must have stolen in the medical bay.

Vegeta was trembling with agonizing pain. Every fiber of his shook, pleading him to stop this physical torture he's punishing himself with. He adamantly refused as he lifted himself up and down while doing one finger handstand push ups. His broken arms were barely healed and the pressure of his entire weight he was putting on his right arm was unbearable. His only fuel were his pure willpower and determination that burned in his blazing heart.

"I can't believe this," Raditz said. They were at the lookout above the Gravity Room, watching Vegeta do his push ups. "This is unbearable to watch. He's reckless! He's pushing himself much harder than he used to. No matter how you look at it, it's not normal anymore! If he over-exerts himself that way, he will never recover from his injuries and it may lead him to his early death!"

"I know, right?" Nappa agreed. "But what can we do to stop him? We all know Vegeta would only refuse to hear us out. After all, in three days the Annual Power Assessment will begin and he has to find a way to surpass or somehow, close the gap between him and Broly. He's getting close to it but his body simply wasn't enough to contain such incredible legendary power."

"So he's trying to condition his body by enduring this kind of torture?" questioned Renkon.

"Try thinking of it as how your body endures the overwhelming feral power of the Oozaru. In the Great Ape form, we are able to contain that power in our transformed state but we cannot do that in our base forms. Enduring this training will condition him to the limit breaking transformation his body will undergo in order to fully hold into that power in his transformed state." Nappa pointed out.

"However, abusing one's body when it is not in the condition is another matter. The way Vegeta does his training, he won't be able to tap into his true power if he continues to abuse his body like this." Kakarot said. He turned on the communications connected to the Gravity Room.

Vegeta flinched at the sound of the microphone's high-pitched whine and static through the speakers. He frowned to himself as he glared at the look out and his Generals who were there.

"Your Highness, our apologies to interrupt you on your training but you have to take a moment to rest for the meantime and let your injuries heal first before you proceed." Kakarot said.

Vegeta growled to himself, "Leave me alone!" he snapped. "Didn't I tell you that I don't have much time to waste! Go away and leave me in peace!"

Vegeta refused to listen and he began ignoring Kakarot's following words.

Nappa turned the microphone off and sighed in exasperation. "I told you, Kakarot." he said, giving in a knowing look.

"Just because you got lucky that he listened to you one time after punching him doesn't mean you can enjoy such a privilege forever, brother." Raditz said, chuckling at his younger brother's failed attempt just now.

"Hey, I wasn't abusing my privilege. I was only being concerned about him." Kakarot quickly defended.

"So are we going to just leave him there?" Renkon inquired.

"We'll keep watch over him here. If he passes out of exhaustion, then we will pull him out of there." Nappa said.

Several hours had passed and Vegeta was not yet done with enduring this torturous work-out. He was eventually at his limits yet he tried his best not to be overwhelmed by exhaustion. His arm supporting his entire weight plus the gravity pull was quivering uncontrollably and he angrily willed it to stop for he has much more to do, fuelled by his sheer willpower alone. When his body cannot take it any longer, Vegeta buckled hard on the floor, hitting his head against it which rendered him unconscious once again. The incident caused his Generals to jump out of their seats, bewildered.

"Son of a- this is what we're trying to tell him!" Raditz shouted. Nappa quickly shut the gravity simulator and they all ran towards their prince.

"Vegeta!" they all called out to him as Nappa cradled him in his arms and shaking him. "Wake up, your Highness!"

"His head is bleeding! Let's return him to the medical bay!"

"But he just destroyed the medical machine!"

"Then in his room. Call the medics and have them check on him on the Crown Prince's quarters."

Nappa brought Vegeta in his private quarters and carefully put him on his bed. Kakarot summoned the medics who came to the prince's aid while Zorn reported the incident to King Vegeta.

In his executive office, King Vegeta listened on what was being told to him of what happened to the Crown Prince. A Saiyan medic named Moroko also reported to the King, along with Zorn. The king questioned how Prince Vegeta who was just in the medical tank about two hours ago, was involved in another accident in the Gravity Room, when he was supposed to be taken care of by the medics.

"Our apologies, Your Majesty, but His Royal Highness escaped the medical bay earlier by blasting his way out of the medical tank." replied Moroko. "Of course, even if we are present during that time, we won't be able to stop him given his adamance."

"General Nappa found him returning to his harsh training when he is clearly out of condition." Zorn said.

"That little rascal." King Vegeta grunted, shaking his head in disappointment. "I know he's getting desperate. There's only three days left before his battle with Broly."

"That's why he's pushing himself to the point he's torturing his own body?" Moroko continued. "Your Majesty. This ain't normal at all. His Royal Highness rarely leaves his training room in that state. He barely experienced being on a near-death situation for a few times in his life. But eversince that night he was brought back to life by the full moon's light, the Crown Prince had been acting more recklessly than ever."

"I guess that's what happens when you experienced death itself, and after surviving that by miraculously coming back to life, he doesn't fear it any longer." Zorn said.

"But if he continues on doing that kind of abuse in his body, he would break apart and he won't be able to move for several days again. Moreover, he won't be able to release his full power if he strains himself too much."

"You are correct, doctor." King Vegeta realized. "I will command the medics to sedate the Crown Prince so he could rest for one day. Restrain him and his powers if you must. Keep him from returning to his training until he is in perfect condition."

"As you command, Your Majesty."

Bulma was asleep on Raditz's bed. She had been feeling crestfallen and tired all day. She worried for her family and was emotionally hurt by the man she loved. She kept on crying on the pillow she was embracing all the time, clutching the key pendant and it's chain on her right hand. Chichi and Gine would check on her time to time, and left an untouched meal on the bedside table. Bardock once silently peeked on the door to see his mate take care of the Crown Prince's woman.

"I can't believe how cruel he is to do this to her." Chichi said to Gine, who blinked at the upset look on her youngest son's girlfriend.

"We cannot blame Prince Vegeta for losing his memories of her." Gine said.

"If he truly loved her, even if he lost his memories, his heart will never forget her."

"That may be true but let's not forget what they're both going through. Even together, they've been enduring the hardships of a forbidden emotion they are trying to fight together. Vegeta is a Crown Prince of the most powerful warrior race in the universe and the only expected hope of everyone against the Galactic Empire. He has a mission to fulfill for all of us, that's why he cannot simply risk pushing away everything he has for her. Despite his selfish actions and his undeniable cruelty to her feelings, I am sure he's only doing this for her own safety. After what happened in the cavern, he must have realized that Bulma is in a greater danger being with him than away from him and he sacrificed his love for her in order to protect her from his enemies."

"Still, he could have told her that instead of hurting her this way."

"You see, there's more to Prince Vegeta than what he could show. He may have told her all those cruel things, breaking her heart with it. But know this. A Saiyan's bond to his mate will never break no matter what. Despite everything they've been through, their hearts and minds will always stay connected to each other and soon, they will realize that even if they are apart, they are still together in spirit. Bulma will soon understand Vegeta's true intentions. Trust me, things will get better as time passes. It could even become as if it never happened."

Bulma was dreaming of her last painful encounter with Vegeta. It was a sad dream. She could feel the stinging pain in her heart as Vegeta told her that no matter what she did, he will never come back to her. It became more painful when her necklace snapped off his neck and fell into the floor. It became much unbearable when she finally told him her farewell. And for some reason, she saw him cry silently the moment she turned her back on him.

Then came several flashbacks of their moments together.

~=o-O-o=~

At the same time, Vegeta was also dreaming of Bulma. While being sedated heavily on his bed by the medics, the Crown Prince of all Saiyans was on a deep sleep. He dreamt of his recently regained memories of the times he spent together with her and of events of their future if they were able to meet in a different circumstance where there's no forbidden love or laws to struggle with.

He dreamt of a family he had with her while they lived peacefully in a big, yellow house in the middle of a highly advanced city. He was leaning under a shade of a tree, silently watching his dearest play with their children.

The boy with purple hair turned his head over his shoulder and grinned happily at him, cheerfully waving a hand, calling him, "Papa! Come and join us!"

The younger girl who was surprisingly her mother's exact copy and reminds him of Bulma when he first met her on Earth as children, approached him. She was only a toddler, barely able to walk. She shakily stepped towards him and he watched at her in adoration as she reached out to grab his right leg with her chubby little hands. She looked up at him with such admiration upon her big, cerulean eyes and a bright smile just like Bulma's.

"Papa!" the child called in her adorable voice.

"Yes, Eschalotte?" he said to her.

Eschalotte? It amazed him how the child has the same name as the Saiyan girl who admired him and seeked his help during the lantern festival. (See Episode 7)

"Play! Papa play!" she told him in her cute child tone.

He smiled lovingly at the girl before he lowered himself to gently scoop the child in his arms. The girl giggled in joy as she embraced him lovingly. He approached his mate and held her hand. Bulma turned to him and pressed her fingers in his hand as she smiled back to him.

She gave him such a beautiful family and it made him glad. This was such a satisfying dream, but realizing that it was only a dream made him miserable. He wished he could live in this fantasy where he can be happy with his mate and their family, forever.

When Raditz and Kakarot went home, they relayed what happened with Vegeta to Bardock. They had a discussion about this at the living room.

Meanwhile, Bulma who just woke up from her slumber, heard them talking about Vegeta. She pushed herself up from the bed, feeling exhausted despite her sleep. Maybe it has something to do with her sad emotions. Depression is tiring, after all. She began to wonder why she dreamt of her recent break-up with the Saiyan Prince and the meaning behind his tears in her dream.

"Vegeta, why did I dream of you that way? I thought that you hated me all this time but why are you crying when you decided to push me away?" she wondered to herself.

She stood up from the bed, walked towards the door and peeked through it to eavesdrop on the Saiyans' conversation about Vegeta, who she heard was heavily sedated to a deep sleep after he stubbornly refused to rest while subjecting himself through a torturous training session in the Gravity Room. She heard he was in a terrible condition that he had to be restrained from returning to his harsh training by the medics. Bulma's legs shook and she fell down to her knees in her shock. She couldn't help but feel anxious for him, especially knowing that he was using her own invention to punish himself that way. Is this the meaning behind his tears? She wondered. She always knew Vegeta was a tough guy, that he would eventually rise up stronger than ever after this. Still, she couldn't help but be worried. What the hell is he doing?! Is he trying to get himself recklessly killed?

"There are only 2 days left before his battle against Broly. Do you think Vegeta could make the transformation before that day?" Raditz was saying.

"In that condition, I believe Vegeta won't wake up anytime soon." Kakarot joked, which made Bulma even more worried about the prince.

Gine stated her opinion. "We all know he's getting desperate with the time limit but he has to get a hold of himself and stop forcing his body when he's not in the proper condition."

"How miserable of him to push himself that way." Bardock commented.

Bulma abruptly felt nauseous. She quickly clamped her hand over her mouth. Everyone turned their heads over her direction when they heard a retching sound. She ignored them as she picked herself from the floor and sprinted towards the sink to let the puke out.

"Bulma, are you alright? What's wrong?" Gine asked anxiously, like a mother worried about her sick little girl.

"I'm fine... I just felt a little sick. That's all." Bulma grunted as she rinsed her mouth with clean water from the faucet.

"Come over here. Sit down." Gine said, assisting her in a chair.

"Thanks." Bulma muttered weakly as she sat down. The Saiyans stared at her curiously.

"Are you sure you are just fine?" Raditz asked with a doubtful stare. "You look kinda pale."

Bulma ran a hand over her forehead, feeling a terrible migraine. "Yes, I am. I'm just a little tired."

The Saiyans just looked at each other before they turned their eyes back to her. They know something was happening to Bulma but they refused to say it out loud because they think this isn't the right time to tell her. Not with her still broken heart.

"Why don't you go back to bed and rest? You don't look good. Perhaps, a little more sleep could bring your energy back. Don't think much about Vegeta. He will be fine." Kakarot said.

Bulma's head shot up at Kakarot's words.

"Who... Who says I'm worried about that jerk?!" she quickly huffed, denying her earlier thoughts about the Saiyan Prince. She rose from her seat and returned to Raditz's room, feeling aggravated. She slammed the door and jumped on the bed.

"Did you sense what I just sensed inside of her?" Raditz asked in a low tone.

"An unbelievable ki..." Bardock responded breathlessly. "A mixture of Saiyan and Human energy into one."

~=o-O-o=~

In Vegeta's misery, the happy dream eventually became a nightmare. His enemies eventually took his family away from him in his very eyes. He did his best to become stronger in order to keep his family but he simply wasn't strong enough.

"Vegeta!" he heard Bulma's voice crying as he watched at her stray away from him even further, her and his beloved family taken away by his inability to fulfill his mission. "What are you doing? Get a hold of yourself, Vegeta!" she said once again. "Please, get up! Rise and fight for us!"

"Vegeta!"

Her voice calling out for his name repeatedly echoed in his mind until it was lost in the blurry edges of his vision as he opened his eyes in reality. He saw a figure of a woman's face, filled with worry. He lifted his hand up to reach out and wipe her tears away only to realize that the woman he was dreaming of wasn't there with him at all.

~=o-O-o=~

Something abruptly snapped on Bardock's mind and with that, his eyes suddenly went blank.

Another vision! But unlike his previous ones, this one is very short. He could tell that he's himself this time and he was staring down in awe at a golden light with immense legendary power engulfing his companion's form. Not far from him lit a computer screen and found the date and time of this event in the midst of the blurry vision. That's just all he saw.

When he came back to reality, Bardock blinked his eyes in confusion for a moment before he finally shook his head, trying to make sense and interpret the vision he just had. His eyes frantically searched for a nearby clock, which told him of the date and time and when he finally realized what his vision meant, he smirked.

"Vegeta's going to awaken really soon." he said.

~=o-O-o=~

When he saw Caulifla instead of Bulma, Vegeta eventually pulled his hand away from her face, feeling embarrassed at his actions.

"You're finally awake." she said, smiling.

Vegeta looked around to see that he was in his bed. He coldly demanded the Selected One of what happened to him.

"You have passed out during your training." Caulifla said. "Everybody's been worried about you since you kept on insisting with your training despite being in no condition."

Reminding that he's lost precious time sleeping and dreaming of meaningless things, he pushed himself off his bed. He was feeling a lot better than a few hours, almost an entire day ago but he still felt a little sore.

"You shouldn't get up, yet. You aren't fully healed!" Caulifla told him as she held him down.

Vegeta harshly slapped her thin arms away from him, giving her an intimidating glare. "Tch! Mind your own business, would you?" he growled through his clenched teeth. "I know we had a deal about you becoming my Crown Princess, but it's more about fulfilling my duties as Crown Prince rather than wanting you as a mate."

"Oh please!" Caulifla laughed with a despondent tone. "I am only doing my duties as your fiancé."

Vegeta's glare at her became even more furious when she told him that.

"Only by law and paper. I know that I can never replace your dearest Bulma in your life." Caulifla pointed out, shrugging her shoulders.

"Even so, you still act like this when you know I have another woman in my mind to whom I have given my affections to."

"I do not wish to act so low as Kinoko did. You have already chosen her as your mate. I am simply here to be the cover up for your secret. I asked that you help me become your Crown Princess and Future Queen so I can support our people, especially the indigent ones. That is only my role in here. Your feelings with Bulma is none of my concern. In fact, I find it rather amusing to hear you mumble her name in your sleep and the very first thing you were looking for the moment you woke up was her."

Vegeta was flustered at her words. Did he really do that? "Fo... Forget you saw and heard any of that!" he ordered her.

Caulifla rolled her eyes. "Whatever." she mumbled.

"How long have I been out?" Vegeta asked her.

"For twenty hours. Almost twenty-one."

"What?!" Vegeta roared, unable to believe the time he just wasted. He hurriedly got up on his bed.

"Hey, I just said you shouldn't be getting up!" Caulifla said. "Look at yourself! You're not even fully healed yet!"

"Stop your incessant screaming! I am fine!" Vegeta insisted.

"No, you're not!" she argued.

Annoyed, Vegeta outstretched his arm, palm open towards Caulifla, silently telling her to stop. "Just shut up and watch me." he smirked confidently.

Vegeta breathed in and out, relaxing his mind and body into a state of serenity. Then he slowly closed his eyes and concentrated his focus on his energy and body. Now that he has rested, he's sure that he can summon up the required energy to heal himself. Caulifla watched in awe as a tranquil, flame colored aura began to rise out the Crown Prince's body, engulfing him. She can see it clearly and feel its insurmountable pressure and heat but she cannot sense anything from it. As she found his hair slowly changing from dark brown to crimson, she realized that the flame-like energy was regenerating him completely.

After that, Vegeta opened his eyes, dissipating his energy and returning back to his base form. He was unaware of the transformation he just did, which left Caulifla speechless next to him.

"See? Now, I am fully healed." he assured her.

"How did you..? What are you..? What did you just do to yourself?" Caulifla asked breathlessly, wide-eyed, unable to believe what she just witnessed. Vegeta got up from his bed and ignored her questions. He put on a new pair of training clothes and teleported himself back to his Gravity Room to continue with his training once again. He trained non-stop since then. King Vegeta received the word that his son was back to his training, with Zorn and Nappa shaking their heads at the prince's stubbornness. Caulifla told them of what she saw Vegeta performed, the instant regeneration powers and red haired transformation but the King just couldn't believe her story. Nappa and Renkon supported her claims, as they saw these happening before their eyes too.

King Vegeta and Zorn were puzzled by Caulifla's story, which were also claimed by both Nappa and Renkon to be true. Saiyans were only aware of the Oozaru transformation while the Legendary Super Saiyan transformation was easily thought to be of mere legend or a child's fairy tale figure until Prince Vegeta's birth and prophecy of his future. Curious at the meaning behind the strange transformation Vegeta was doing, King Vegeta told Zorn to summon the Chief Historian Scholar for him to question about this.

The Chief Historian Scholar was shocked to hear the story. "This isn't the first time I was questioned about this strange phenomena His Royal Highness performed. Doctor Malaka was the first to witness such power months ago. When he asked for answers to clarify the meaning behind it, I have searched through old books containing accounts and legends the Saiyans ever had since Planet Vegeta was still known as Planet Sadara."

"Did you find anything?" asked the King.

"Yes, your Majesty. In fact, it is related to the Legend of the Super Saiyan, but this other tale fortells of a Saiyan possessing power that exceeds that of the Super Saiyan as he possessed great divine powers. According to what we found, a Saiyan who has such power has crimson colored hair, scarlet eyes and a fiery flame-like aura that cannot be sensed or read by scout scopes or any power scanning device despite the overwhelming pressure it releases. Because the Saiyan was believed to have the powers of a deity, the form was called the 'Super Saiyan god'."

"Super... Saiyan god?" King Vegeta repeated. "Are you saying that the Crown Prince is a deity?"

"Accounts say that the Legendary Super Saiyan and this Super Saiyan god are one and the same person. And since the Royal lineage are a direct descendant to the Legendary Super Saiyan, it is possible that Prince Vegeta inherited those powers in him. But then, we found a rather interesting thing while doing our research. We found out that the name of the figure behind the legends to be Yamoshi, but there was no known record of this Yamoshi in our history no matter where we looked into. However, there was another Saiyan with almost the same name origin. He was called Moyashi, who presumably lived at the same time as Yamoshi."

"Moyashi? You mean the great rebel who tried to stop the conflict amongst the Saiyans and ended up being killed by his own people who revolted against him?" King Vegeta said.

"Yes, Your Majesty. It is assumed that the Saiyans during that time were awed by his odd transformations at the time and respected him for the power he possessed but they hated his righteous ideals and rebellious attitude. So they renamed the Legendary figure as Yamoshi and let the real identity behind it be forever tainted in a dark light as the rebel fool."

"So why did you bring this up?"

The scholar took out an old book he had with him and flipped through its pages until he was able to find what he was looking for. He showed the page to the King. King Vegeta's eyes bulged out of his sockets when he saw the sketch of Moyashi's image that was drawn thousands of years ago. "What is my son doing there?" was his hilarious reaction.

"That is an old sketch of Moyashi's image circa 2250 B.A." (Before Age)

That didn't make any sense to his question. King Vegeta stared at the scholar in confusion.

"We assumed that his Royal Highness, Vegeta the Fourth is Moyashi's reincarnation in this life."

"What does this mean? Is this some kind of a joke?" King Vegeta mocked. How can he believe that his son is a reincarnation of a famous rebel hated by the Saiyans a long time ago. That is utterly ridiculous.

"There were very few accounts of reincarnation. I never even believed it at first, but after seeing that, I was mystified myself."

"It may just be a coincidence." the King insisted. "But the theory about this Super Saiyan god. Is it really plausible to say that my son possessed the powers of a deity in him?"

"Yes, your Majesty. I am sure of it."

The King felt relieved by that. That is the only thing that mattered to him. He was worried that his son won't be able to at least, close the gap between his and Broly's powers. Knowing that the Prince may possess powers that surpassed the Legendary Super Saiyan made him confident that his son will win this battle.

~=o-O-o=~

Raditz received Nappa's call about the Crown Prince and he relayed the news to his family.

"Nappa said that Vegeta has returned to training." stated Raditz.

"He's completely healed now?" Kakarot was surprised.

Raditz shrugged his shoulders, "Turned out he used that power we saw him use today. The Selected One claimed she saw it with her very own eyes."

"What power?" asked a confused Bardock.

"He can heal himself or other people instantly using this really strange energy. It's strange because we never felt that kind of power before." Kakarot marvelled.

Bardock gasped. "Really?"

"Yeah. And then we saw his hair change color. It made his hair look like a lit up candle! It's really amazing when you get to see it, Dad." Kakarot continued.

Bardock wondered the meaning behind that form. Is it the same as the ominous and pernicious form he saw in his old visions? Or is it different basing on his sons' testimonies that the Crown Prince used that power to heal his comrades?

Bardock asked Kakarot to teleport him to the Palace grounds as he wished to speak to Vegeta about this. Kakarot did so, but he told Bardock that they had to wait until Vegeta was finished with his training. Bardock said he would wait but he wanted to see how the Crown Prince trains. They went to the Gravity room's lookout to watch Vegeta's ongoing training as he easily decimated the simulated virtual foes he was previously having trouble with yesterday. The boost in his power and strength provided by the Saiyan ability to grow more powerful with each injury they suffered and survived was incredibly massive. Bardock checked on the analysis done by the Artificial Intelligence to find the calculations of Prince Vegeta's power level and fighting ability.

Maximum Velocity: Mach 5200, Massive Hypersonic Class
Maximum Power Level: 3,000,000
Class: Super Elite

Bardock was bewildered by the readings he saw. This is unbelievable! The last time he was here about two weeks ago he was floored by Vegeta's massive improvement. This time, he was scared of the Crown Prince's rapid improvement. His strength tripled in a span of two weeks! He couldn't believe that a Saiyan could be capable of having this much breakthrough in such a moment.

"Unbelievable, right?" Kakarot said.

Bardock wiped the cold sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand. "Yeah. That brat really isn't normal at all." he smiled.

Kakarot chuckled.

Vegeta was finished with that level, successfully beating that felt good to him. He can feel his powers growing more inside of him. Not wanting to take a moment to rest, Vegeta commanded the AI to immediately activate the next level of his training. The Gravity increased to 45Gs and the surroundings within his training room transformed into a dying planet on the verge of being destroyed by an upcoming massive comet. The goal of this new survival game is for Vegeta to protect his ship from the falling meteors. A test of speed and strength in the middle of the galaxy.

A violent thunderstorm raged on the dark skies above him while fire and magma blazed at the enormous cracks on the ground. A cryptic manifestation of the furor rampaging within himself. Vegeta began to unleash his power in a silent power up at the sight of the meteors falling down to destroy him. Bardock and Kakarot looked on as the numbers of his power level in the analysis rapidly rise.

With this new level, Vegeta would find it difficult to move as fast as he did earlier. Feeling the greater pull of the hefty force, he braced himself as the meteors zoomed in on him. He dodged and flipped around to avoid the aflamed rocks descending. He would occasionally fire a volley of ki blasts to destroy the small ones near him. He tried on shooting at each of them to protect his ship while he dodged and moved around. He slowly become accustomed to the environment and he was finally able to move rather quickly and destroyed as much as he wanted.

Abruptly, the Gravity pull increased to 50Gs and Vegeta immediately felt it's overwhelming pressure. He tried his best to resist the pull. Suddenly, his surroundings became darker. He whirled around to see the main boss, a colossal comet looming towards him with such unbelievable speed, determined to destroy him at all costs.

With his heart pounding hard against his chest, Vegeta raised his arms as if to push it away. He unleashed his flaring blue aura and collected as much power as he could. He pulled both of his hands on the left side of his body, his fingers curled and the palm of his left hand over on the back of the right. His blue aura immediately shifted to purple as black bio-electricity snapped off his rigid frame while he charged his ultimate attack, creating a potent sphere of electric ki energy over his palm.

Once his attack was fully charged, he quickly thrust both hands forward and released a powerful destructive blast of ki energy. His Galick Gun should be capable of destroying this cursed thing!

The potent blast violently hit the enormous meteor head on and clashed against its unbelievable force. Vegeta could feel the gravity pull increased once more and he quickly found himself in big trouble. He tried to put more power into the Galick Gun, summoning every ounce of ki he had. He was barely aware he was screaming so loud in his strenuous struggle to win, giving it everything he ever had.

At 60Gs, Vegeta couldn't take it anymore. His Galick Gun exploded when he lost his control and the ensuing shockwave sent him barrelling backwards into layers of rock until he hit the ground hard.

"Vegeta!" Kakarot screamed as he anxiously jumped off his feet to see if Vegeta was alright through the lookout window. When he couldn't find any sign of him, he decided to shut the training room down but his father held his arm back. He turned to Bardock and silently questioned him why he was stopping him.

Bardock's eyes were blank and glassy as he faced his son, "It's time, Kakarot." he said in a flat, monotone voice.

Kakarot was confused, "Eh? What do you mean by that, dad?" he asked.

Bardock smiled as he faced the Gravity Room below them. "Just look at him."

Kakarot turned to the scene happening in front of him. He finally found Vegeta pushing himself up on a cliff where he almost fell down into a boiling ocean of magma below it. He was once again bleeding and heavily injured on different parts of his body, his face painted with his crimson Saiyan blood flowing from a deep gash on his scalp down to his face. His training clothes torn. Despite the pain and heaviness of the new level of gravity, he plodded himself up until he was finally safe.

Panting heavily out of his exhaustion, Vegeta glared at the giant meteor before him. He failed to stop it and it was still coming to destroy him. He cannot lose right now but since he put all of his energy on that Galick Gun, he's out of power. He can't even heal himself without any ki at all.

He's at his limits.

There's only a day left and he's not a Super Saiyan yet! If he loses consciousness again when he failed at this level, then there's no hope for him to at least, close the gap between his and Broly's power. If he doesn't become a Super Saiyan right now, then he won't be able to prove himself as the most powerful Saiyan among all. He won't be able to defeat both Broly and Freeza, and he will lose everything he fought for his entire life!

"Damn it all!" he cursed to himself as he slammed his bleeding fist over the ground in his frustration.

Where is he lacking at? He cannot understand! Kakarot said that the transformation is triggered by a respond to a need, not a desire. He was 100% sure that he simply doesn't wish to transform out of desire. He needs that power so badly right now!

The thought of failing to realize the prophecy, of not proving himself not strong enough to protect the universe, of not being able to save and overpower Broly who was being used to steal his birthright, of living in a future of disappointment and loneliness, of losing everything he cared for at Freeza's hands, especially the chance to be with his dearest Bulma and form that happy family he just dreamt about with her upset him to the very core. He was on the verge of tears as his mind made up these what-ifs, building up his desperate need, desires, rage and frustration in him.

Until it consumed him!

And then, something snapped inside of him!

The entire place shook with intense tremors. Kakarot and Bardock watched as Vegeta's body trembled on the floor, struggling to control his rising power. The numbers on the AI's analysis of his power level rose rapidly. They could hear the blaring thunders outside the building, ringing like bells of hell to praise the legendary awakening of the Crown Prince of the Saiyans.

Vegeta's head snapped upwards. His eyes rolling back, making them appear white as his body continued to convulse uncontrollably. In his mind, he was struggling to keep his surging power under control but he just couldn't. His ki kept on rising rapidly, continuously, like it's limitless!

His frame abruptly glowed with the intense golden energy and it felt like every cell of his was burning. The power was intense, excruciating even. His body couldn't take it any longer and he could feel it changing. His muscles started to grow, but not as much as it did whenever he releases the wrathful power of the Oozaru in his base. He can still feel the Great Ape's breath in his skin, the heart-pounding urge for battle and destruction, but there was something more than it being just a hateful, feral power filled with bloodlust. This new energy was more intense than that. Though there was this rage that flowed with it, another feeling came along with it.

Excitement.

"Let it go, Vegeta!" Bardock roared above him, urging him. "Let that power loose!"

"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"

Throwing his head back, Vegeta let out the loud, powerful roar of the beast, completely unaware that it was resonating from his own raging scream. His dark flaming hair rippled with his energy, and lit up into bright gold. The golden energy enveloping his body exploded upwards as golden rays streaked out of his body. The light piercing through the looming giant meteor above him, crushing it into several pieces.

The hologram faded and he was back on his normal Gravity Room. Still, Vegeta's battlecry went on and on, almost endlessly. The earthquake got even more extreme and the heavy metal walls rumbled. His golden aura began to intensify, flaring and flowing around him immensely, causing a maelstrom of gale around him. Bolts of yellow electrical discharge swept across him and the entire room. Bardock and Kakarot shut their eyes as Vegeta's power emanated a blinding light and scorching heat, making him become as unapproachable as the sun.

The light burst outwards, until it reduced in size. Vegeta stood at the center of the room, enveloped by the golden aura of the Golden Warrior foretold in the Saiyan Legends. His yellow hair rippled with his energy and his eyes, sharper and more piercing than ever, were like precious jades.

He was still shaking, fighting for control, focusing his ki and clearing his mind. He squinted his eyes. Feral growls and grunts reverberated through his gritted teeth. He practiced what he does to keep his mind as an Oozaru, finding the strong will and pride he always had.

When the struggle was over and he won over his Saiyan instincts, Vegeta let out a long, calming breath while he opened his eyes. Once he was in control, the rumbling of thunder and the strong quake finally halted. Vegeta looked down into his hands, and observed the waves of the dense golden aura flowing around him. It was pulsing, giving off a bright light with momentary sparks of white electrical charges.

"This... This is..?"

Vegeta was awed by the feeling of this newly awakened power.

Subject's current status.
Maximum Speed: Unknown
Power Level: 180,000,000
Class: Super Elite

Bardock and Kakarot stared at the figures on the Battle Analysis screen in admiration. Vegeta's new power was over the top! It was unlike anything they ever felt.

Down below, Vegeta was overwhelmed by the euphoric feeling of this new power flowing through his veins. He threw some punches in the air to test his newfound ability.

"He's fast! I can't see him move!" Bardock commented.

Vegeta stared down at his fist once again, contemplating to himself. This power, this speed, it's unbelievable!

A wide, cocky smirk stretched across his lips and he started laughing out loud in his elation.

"Yes! Yes! I finally did it! I am finally a Super Saiyan! Bwahahahahaha!" he exclaimed happily. He never felt this kind of joy that shook him excitedly down to his very core. It felt good. All the frustration and rage that triggered his transformation were completely forgotten and replaced by overwhelming ecstacy.

Now to test this newfound power, Vegeta commanded the AI to activate the next level of training. At the level of 65Gs, he was sent to a battlefield filled with ruthless killer cyborgs that can absorb ki energy and have unlimited stamina. As Vegeta let his Saiyan instincts reign, his green eyes changing color to a pale crimson, he proceeded to ripping the new simulated virtual opponents to pieces. While he did so, he came to realize that he has just started to tap the massive legendary power provided by his transformation. His power kept on rising as the battle went on.

As he punched through the cyborgs, easily breaking them apart and leaking out what it seemed like blood out of them, Vegeta's mouth began to water. His bloodlust was boiling to the surface and he turned much more violent and aggressive at the dark thought of ripping his enemies apart. He started to laugh boisterously like a psychopath, enjoying his bloodfeast.

King Vegeta burst into the lookout, Nappa and Zorn followed him. The king demanded Kakarot and Bardock what just happened because of the shaking just now and the meaning behind Vegeta's sudden explosion of power that they just sensed.

Bardock bowed before the King and responded, "The Crown Prince has finally ascended."

King Vegeta and Nappa's eyes widened in disbelief as they were taken aback by shock about the unexpected news and they quickly whirled to see the Crown Prince's new form. Just as Bardock did earlier, King Vegeta checked the Battle Analysis and was floored by his own son's power level.

"He did it." the King chuckled, feeling immense pride of his son. "He really did it! My son is a Super Saiyan! The prophecy is correct after all. He is the long-awaited Golden Warrior of the Legends!"

Vegeta was beginning to understand how Broly exactly felt and the reason behind the creation of that 'alter ego'. This ruthless, violent side brought forth by a Saiyan's primal instinct was magnified by the elevating feeling of possessing such destructive and extreme level of power. It was more intense than the Oozaru transformation to compare. Vegeta enjoyed the violence he unleashed but he immediately got a hold of himself before his primal mind get the best out of his rationality. He was able to get his control back at the same moment he destroyed the last virtual opponent. His crimson irises fading back to jade green. He descended on the floor just as his surrounding return to normal. He was pleased with himself.

Even 65 times Planet Vegeta's normal gravity proved useless to him now that the blood of the legendary Super Saiyan awoke within him. With this new power, Vegeta is confident to win the battles he will face, no matter what.

Vegeta closed his eyes and let out a relaxing sigh. His golden hair fading back to his normal dark dye and his golden aura dissipated. He raised his arms in the air and stretched for a few moments before he tried going Super Saiyan once again, reminiscing the feeling of his earlier rage and frustration.

His clenched fists shook on his sides, veins on his prominent forehead throbbed as his anger rose. His eyes turned green as his hair changed to neon green and then gold.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!"

With one shriek, Vegeta exploded to his Super Saiyan form. This time, he was able to easily control himself. He practiced several more times until he's able to change at a moment's notice.

Pleased with himself, Vegeta finally ended his training. He turned around to face the lookout where he sensed his father, Bardock, Nappa and Kakarot watching him. He was aware they were there but ignore them because he was focusing on his training. Now that he's done, he decided to meet them. He used his Hibiktus to teleport himself behind them.

He was smirking at them, obviously in a better mood than yesterday. The other Saiyans turned to him, and aside from his father, bowed down before his presence.

"Congratulations, my son." King Vegeta declared with a proud smile.

"Congratulations, your Highness." the four other Saiyans followed.

"Yes. At long last, I have ascended." Prince Vegeta confirmed.

"This calls for a celebration." King Vegeta said.

"No." Vegeta quickly contradicted.

"Why not? It is only right that we celebrate your ascension to the Legendary state. We have waited so long for this time to come."

"No need. With the upcoming Power Assessment battle, I cannot risk my enemies to know about this. I would like to keep this for a while and present it as a surprise to everyone once the battle has begun. We will celebrate after the victory, but not now."

The king pondered why his son was refusing to celebrate. For some reason, he felt that Vegeta was acting rather odd because he wasn't boasting about his newfound strength like he expected him to do. They were used to Vegeta flaunting his new powers as soon as he got them but not this time. Is this some kind of strategy on his part?

"Fine, if that's what you want." the King relented.

Vegeta turned to Bardock, "You saw this happening, didn't you? That's why you are here."

Bardock chuckled. "You got me."

"Is there something else?"

"Well, I heard from Kakarot and Raditz that you have some sort of healing powers. Is that true?"

Vegeta shifted his eyes on Kakarot and glared at him, "Yeah." he muttered. Kakarot smiled awkwardly back, silently apologizing. "Sort of."

"Caulifla told us the same thing." King Vegeta said. "Since when did you have such power?"

Vegeta turned to his father and answered him, "I don't know. I only tried using my ki by concentrating it towards the injury. I got the idea because my DNA was the ingredient to the medical liquid used in the medical tanks."

"Do you mind a demonstration?" Bardock asked. "Well, just to let you know, becoming a Super Saiyan didn't heal you."

Now that it was brought up, Vegeta flinched at the stinging pain of his wounds. He was too distracted by the adrenaline rush and excitement brought by his Super Saiyan transformation that he completely forgot about his injuries.

"Ooh... Okay." he said.

Vegeta closed his eyes, relaxed his mind and concentrated his energy within him. Everyone else focused their attention to him as Vegeta began to be engulfed by a crimson flame. His dark haired glowed like an iron rod. During this process, all of his injuries began to regenerate almost instantly.

"Holy cow! What is that energy?!" Bardock commented. He cannot sense it but he was sure he can feel an overwhelming pressure much more powerful than Vegeta's Super Saiyan transformation earlier.

"See? I told you it cannot be sensed." Kakarot told his father.

"I see it is a power that is different and far beyond that of the Legendary Super Saiyan."

King Vegeta said. "The scholar must be correct about his theory after all."

"What theory?" Bardock asked.

"That my son isn't just prophesied to become the Legendary Super Saiyan. It is also theorized that he possessed the divine powers of a deity... And perhaps, he is also the reincarnation of the original Super Saiyan and the Super Saiyan god, Yamoshi!"

Vegeta opened his eyes, his irises blazing crimson while his hair burned like the candlelight, surrounded by the fiery divine aura of a Saiyan deity. Then his entire mood suddenly changed drastically, turning him into a completely different person.

"That's..."

"Ivi Jara, Saiyajin." Vegeta began to speak in a detached tone.

The five Saiyans stared at each other in confusion. Those words, they're ancient Saiyago. It was a typical greeting of the Saiyans during the ancient times.

"That's not Vegeta..." Bardock mused. "Someone has taken over his mind and body!"
