Damn it, why didn't I know back then?
If I held onto you, would things be different?
It's you anyway for me
Even if I leave you, it's you anyway
(I don't wanna lose you
Be without you
Anymore)
I thought hard but I don't know
How to live without you
(I don't wanna lose you
Be without you
Anymore)
I'm standing in front of destiny
That has passed me by again
Was it a dream that we couldn't wake from?
You're getting farther away and I couldn't tell you
My heart
I'm still crying
(Don't let me cry)
I'm waiting right here
Until my heart gets exhausted
Don't say goodbye
Come back to me
Come to me whenever

Episode 30
Once Again

Vegeta was completely unaware of the adults' conversation as he concentrated his energy to heal the injuries he got during his training. He didn't know why but he noticed that every time he used this calm yet mysterious power, his mind would shut everything around him and he was like a different person all along. He could feel an unexplainable sense of serenity in himself and it felt good to him. It's funny how odd this feeling was for him as he was normally an impatient young man with an explosive temper.

Everything went fuzzy, making him feel light headed. His mind went blank as another consciousness suddenly took over him.

King Vegeta, Bardock, Kakarot, Nappa and Zorn all stared at the glowing form of the Crown Prince in astonishment. They have noticed that Vegeta was not himself, seeing as how his usually intimidating looks became calm and blank. His eyes, though red, were not piercing or malevolent looking at all. His body was more relaxed, his mind seemed to be in a tranquil state. But the pressure his aura was emanating was intense but serene.

"That's..."

"Ivi Jara, Saiyajin." Vegeta began to speak in a detached tone.

They five Saiyans stared at each other. Those words, they're ancient Saiyago. It was a greeting.

"That's not Vegeta." Bardock mused. "Someone has taken over his mind and body!"

Everybody silently agreed with him, feeling anxious about the prince. They noticed how Vegeta's mood and aura completely felt different than usual. They could see and feel that the Saiyan before them isn't their Crown Prince anymore. What is the meaning of this? Who would dare take control of the Crown Prince of all Saiyans?

"Niguki, hatla yuga. Dalma, reo ashti eshna." Vegeta continued. "Reo hesna mesne Ran Ohji Sehja hon sapina krantoguha rizue esna. (Listen, all of you and don't fret. I meant no harm. I have taken over your Crown Prince's mind and body for a moment to tell you a warning.)

"Mi sohrame gurepteh cosmon ne Garakutika Emperiado shagai. Freeza esna mosrepte opta devu Saiyajin sun puropesiyah nutabre gurose yugkatode ger Supra Saiyajin te Supra Saiyajin Emre. Ilyantre hivi eshma Ran Ohji Sehja hsonte sentho powa." (Soon, the Galactic Emperor will be coming to destroy this planet. Freeza heard of the prophecy of the Saiyans where he will be killed by the one to rise as both the Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan god. He believes that this Crown Prince is the one to do that due to his prodigious battle powers.)

"Ni?!" Nappa gasped in terror.

Kakarot stared at the others to see their faces paling in shock, as if they were hearing a shocking news. He began to wonder what Vegeta was saying. He wasn't able to understand what made his companions suddenly feel this horror.

"Tare isshamasoi?" King Vegeta asked who was the spirit taking over his son.

The prince responded calmly, still with his flat tone. "Emao mala usta. Reo langga emao ima." (You already know. You spoke of my name just now.)

"Emao wo Yamoshi?" (You are Yamoshi?) King Vegeta breathlessly muttered the name of the Saiyan deity.

Vegeta slowly nodded once at his father and spoke once again. "Saiyajin tribaluta qiosgun searon. Reo mata ivi. Reo espi rakubay tamibaha seika nen mata dan husti te powahar radaka. (There have been a lot of catastrophes that has befallen over our people. I saw it coming. My spirit had been wandering for thousands of years looking for a righteous and powerful vessel.)

"Las, Reo mata kore hoya. Hara
Garakutika Emperiado dakai. Reo mata hara, reo husti ishi Yissennen. Iega, Reo mo chi zenen hara gatu. Reo hara piri. Reo maste kore kaya hoya vospokurades. Project Denzetsu hemao ikari wo rokohim nemusa esthadi. Kasua Esna Supra Saiyajin hensim we mata Koro, matra eh dachimoto keta. Yim mostre Supra Saiyajin Embre mo Powa te transfarna e Supra Saiyajin estande reo mesame rohob na. (Then, after waiting for so long, I saw this boy. He was the only one who stood up and fought against the Galactic Emperor. When I saw him and what he did, I knew he was the one I was looking for thousands of years. What's more, my blood flowed within him as well. So I chose him as my vessel. It took quite some time before I can awaken within this boy's subconscious. His hatred and bitterness about the Project Denzetsu made his supposedly righteous heart be tainted with evil. Finally, he's back to his senses and his righteous rage triggered his Super Saiyan transformation thanks to his friend's advice. I had no idea how he was able to use the healing powers of the Super Saiyan god, but his usage of it lately and his Super Saiyan transformation just now became the trigger for me to finally awaken within him.)

"Emao mo fuwerza tende dakai. Ishi emao ya mata riyaguden, Ivi Hara gabai.
(Gather your forces for battle. One of you has already foreseen the upcoming events and let him be your guide.)

He turned his blank eyes towards Bardock and the Saiyan abruptly threw his head back, his eyes completely white as his mind filled with ominous visions of the future being sent to him by Yamoshi. Bardock fell to his knees, gasping for his breath. He was visibly shaking in fear, his face paling at his terrifying visions.

"Rebesion toi, Reo hoya, Emao Ran Ohji Sejha, te raimi Rey oh, Reo serbu powa emao mo hasa Garakutika Emperiado. Hore tonho powa nekamezame nai teda mata heshtapanaka."

(To prevent that from happening, I have chosen this boy, your Crown Prince and future King, as my vessel for him to be able to use my powers and become your hope against the Galactic Empire. He may not be able to use the fullness of his true power yet, but it will eventually awaken within him when he summoned for me when the right time comes.)

Another vision came to Bardock. He cannot recognize these people but there are six Saiyans gathered in a circle. Five of them held each other's hands while two of them had their palms pressed on the last one's back.

"Te ochtemazte." (As you wish) King Vegeta replied.

Yamoshi, who possessed Prince Vegeta's body, smiled at the ruler of his people, satisfied.

"Ashti Esna. Kore hoya wo reo ripi ishi." (Worry not, for this boy is my chosen one.) these were Yamoshi's last words before he closed his eyes once again and let Vegeta's body collapse on the floor. King Vegeta was quick to catch his son on his arms.

"What did he say?" asked Kakarot. He was the only one in the room who was not able to understand a thing.

"Freeza is coming to destroy the planet soon." Bardock answered breathlessly.

"Did you see something, Bardock?" King Vegeta asked.

"Yes, your Majesty." Bardock said, his voice still shaking.

King Vegeta carried his unconscious son in his arms. "Come with me, Bardock. Kakarot, teleport us to the Crown Prince's Palace then go and pick your brother up. I will meet with the Crown Prince's Generals once the prince is awake. Zorn and Nappa, assemble the entire Vegeta forces in the underground dungeon within three hours. We must prepare for the war but in discretion."

"As you command us, your Majesty." bowed the Saiyan Generals and they went off to do the King's orders.

Kakarot put his hand over the King's shoulder and his father's arm as he teleported them into the Crown Prince's private quarters and immediately left to pick Raditz. The King laid his son over his royal bed and covered him with the blanket made with the best silks across the universe.

"What did you see, Bardock?" asked King Vegeta as he stared at his sleeping son. Bardock relayed to the King whatever he saw on his visions.

The King was silent for a few moments after Bardock was done. Frustration shook the supposedly proud ruler as he reminisced the day he listened to his traitorous councilmen and invited that monster, Freeza, to his home planet. His fists shook with his guilt.

"I know it was my fault for being so stupid with my decisions." the King growled in his self-loathing, remembering how he was used like a mindless puppet by the former Prime Minister. "I was a damn coward at that time! A mindless fool controlled by conniving snakes! Only Yon saw through their plans but I never listened to any of his pleas. He was the only one who stood against Freeza and nobody, not even myself, stood with him..."

"Stop being so bitter about what happened in the past. What's done has been done." Bardock said. "You have made so many foolish decisions in your life. The Queen's death, the Project Denzetsu and Freeza... Yes, you are at fault for making these terrible mistakes, but who never did anything wrong? Not even your perfectionist son is perfect and he made lots of stupid decisions in his life as well as you did. What matters most is how you will find a way to correct these mistakes today, which, would drastically change the course of the future. What are you planning to do in order to correct your past mistakes?"

"Alright. I shall gather the Vegeta forces immediately." the King declared after hearing Bardock's words as he pondered an effective plan for the upcoming war. He knew they stood no chance against the Empire but with the Crown Prince who is now a Super Saiyan, there is a possibility that they can win this if all Saiyan warriors would unite and fight as one.

"We must do it in discretion. Freeza may have his eyes and ears among us as well." Bardock adviced the king.

"Yes." King Vegeta agreed. "We will not let the Crown Prince fight the Galactic Empire on his own. He may be the prophesied one to destroy the emperor, but he will not fight alone."

~=-o-O-o-=~

When the Crown Prince came about, he found Kakarot on his side. Vegeta pushed himself out of bed, asking his General in a tired voice, "What the hell happened?" while rubbing at his eyes.

"You fainted when you used that power again." Kakarot said.

"Oh... It's probably due to the fatigue caused by the Super Saiyan transformation." Vegeta reasoned.

"Yes..."

Vegeta noticed something strange about Kakarot's ki and he turned his head to his direction, "Is anything wrong?"

"I'm just worried and confused. That's all." Kakarot admitted, a hard look etched on his face.

"About what?"

"About you and Bulma..."

Vegeta rolled his eyes in annoyance. "How many times do I have to tell you to mind your own busine-?!" he shouted in visible irritation but Kakarot cut his words off by saying,

"She's pregnant, Vegeta."

The proud and adamant Prince couldn't hide or deny the shocked look on his face. "What?" he muttered, breathlessly.

"She's pregnant with your child. We never told her anything about this yet as she is still heartbroken from what you did to her a few days ago, but we sensed it growing inside of her a few hours ago." Kakarot explained to him.

Those words were enough to make Vegeta's earlier resolve not to make it up to Bulma until the battle was over, to falter.

"She needs you right now, Vegeta. You can't just wait for this entire battle to end before you can reconcile with her again and make up for all your wrong doings."

These words faded in the background as Vegeta reminisced the dream he had about Bulma and their two, beautiful children. It was cryptic, in some ways. And he came to realize the meaning behind that dream now.

"No. This isn't the time yet." Vegeta stubbornly refused.

Kakarot groaned. What the hell is just making the prince so adamant about his decision of not making it up to Bulma yet? What is truly stopping him? He's a Super Saiyan now so he is surely capable of destroying any adversary he could have. So what is wrong with him? Kakarot thought today is a better time to tell him this but... He didn't like that portentous look Vegeta was giving him one bit.

Vegeta glared at Kakarot like he is ready to eat him alive. He roughly pulled the collar of the general's armor closer to him so he could gaze at him dangerously eye to eye, and hissed at his ear with an intimidating tone. "You keep your mouth shut about this, Kakarot. If my father learns about this, he will have the fetus pulled out from her womb without second thoughts. If anything like that happens and you endanger the life of my dearest and my child with your carelessness, I will kill you by pulling all your innards out of that pathetic body of yours. Do you understand?"

Kakarot gulped and shrieked in a terrified tone, "Yes. I understand." he stuttered.

Finally making his threats clear, Vegeta snorted and pushed the General off of him. "Now stop bothering me with useless things and learn to mind your own business!"

Alright. At least, Kakarot knew that Vegeta somehow, still cared for Bulma with those words. Kakarot smiled to himself.

After he was able to compose himself for a few silent moments, Kakarot spoke again, "There's another thing... About what you said earlier."

Vegeta tilted his head this time, crossing his arms over his chest. "What did I say?" he asked, still frowning.

"Don't you remember anything before you fell asleep on us?" Kakarot asked.

"The last thing I know is that your father asked me for a demonstration of my ability to heal myself." the prince pointed out.

"When you used that power, you began speaking in ancient Saiyago." Kakarot said.

"Ancient Saiyago? I never knew I could speak that."

"Well, it's like... Someone else has taken over you. Like you were possessed by some ancient spirit."

The Prince was shocked, unable to believe or even accept that he was possessed by an unknown spirit. "What? Someone has taken over me? Just who is that abomination who tried to control me? How could he? No, how could I, the Crown Prince of all Saiyans, lose my mind and let that someone take control of me? Damn it! That shouldn't happen! That cursed spirit may have possessed my mind and body but I shouldn't let it touch my pride!" Vegeta angrily pondered to himself, not listening to Kakarot's words anymore.

"...Vegeta, are you even listening? Hey... Are you alright?" Kakarot's words finally cut through Vegeta's pissed off thoughts.

The prince shot a glare at him and Kakarot instantly backed away. "You were saying?"

"Now the entire Vegeta Military Forces are being gathered in secret."

"Why?"

Kakarot rolled his eyes, looking annoyed. "To prepare for war! I've been telling you! Freeza's coming to destroy all of us. He's heard of the prophecy and he's going to hunt you down and have us all killed."

The prince's eyes widened at that. He initially thought the Galactic emperor was coming to fulfill the promise he made last time, that is to retrieve him and proceed with the treaty he postponed months ago but instead of that, he is coming to destroy them all? If Freeza heard about the prophecy and he's on his way to destroy the Saiyans because of that, Vegeta suspected Freeza's fear of his own demise. He's afraid of the Saiyans' true potential and their unity against him. He saw the Saiyans as pesky pests to rid of instead of being useful to him.

Vegeta anxiously stretched his ki senses and searched for Freeza's massive ki energy in order to estimate his arrival. Unlike last time, he's now able to feel the Emperor's gargantuan power even from miles away, coming towards his planet's direction in hypersonic speeds. He can even feel the boiling fury in the Emperor's growing energy. To precisely estimate his arrival, Freeza will land on Planet Vegeta at the day of his Annual Power Assessment. This realization made Vegeta shake down to his very core. At first, Kakarot thought that Vegeta was trembling to due to his fear. The shock on his face was unmistakable. Who wouldn't be afraid for their lives if the most ruthless and most powerful man in the entire universe is coming to destroy him and his people? So he raised a hand and put it over the prince's shoulder.

"Relax, Vegeta. Don't be afraid. We will be at your side to protect you with our lives. The entire Royal Force is willing to fight alongside you." he assured the prince with a smile.

Unbeknownst to Kakarot, the real reason why Vegeta was trembling that way was because of his unexplainable excitement, brought forth by his boiling Super Saiyan blood. He glared up at Kakarot and slapped his hand away from his shoulder.

"Who said I was afraid?" Vegeta huffed at Kakarot angrily before he let out a cocky smirk. "As a matter of fact, I am quite... excited."

Kakarot snorted. "Thank goodness. I thought I would need to take you to the clinic again due to shock." then he chuckled light-heartedly. "You caught me worrying about you for a second right there." then after a few seconds, Kakarot spoke in a serious manner. "I see that you are confident about this."

Vegeta's eyes suddenly sparked with unspeakable arrogance as a confident smile crept widely upon his lips. He chuckled darkly for a moment. "You have already witnessed the power not seen for thousands of years, Kakarot! Of whom shall I be afraid with this much power within me? Freeza should be the one trembling with fear by now! Most especially if all of us unite and fight together."

Kakarot rolled his eyes. Vegeta's haughtiness is unbelievable. He noticed that after his Super Saiyan transformation, Vegeta's personality has changed. He became more overconfident and pompous than before, and probably more aggressive with his newfound strength. He could only hope that the prince won't let that arrogance of his get into his head or all that power and his genius will be wasted.

Speaking of personality changes during the transformation, Kakarot was curious about how Vegeta felt about his transformation. He wondered if he is experiencing the same problems as Broly had. "By the way, how does it feel to finally become a Super Saiyan?" he asked.

"The power and speed is unbelievable. It's amazing, it felt quite different than our usual energy. It was more intense, primitive, uncontrollable and it felt bottomless. No wonder why it was said to be so powerful that the original Super Saiyan was destroyed by his own power." Vegeta said, pertaining to the legend. "However, there was something else in it which made me understand why Broly becomes that kind of monster, considering how pathetic that fool's mind is. I guess, I'm simply made of better stuff than him." he paused, chuckling to himself for a moment before he continued. "You see, the Super Saiyan transformation is triggered by an intense rage and need, because of this, all floodgates of energy in the body are opened and the flow of ki becomes unstoppable. All I could say is that becoming a Super Saiyan brings us overwhelming thirst for blood and battle by increasing our killer instinct and ferocity. We become over ecstatic at the mere thought of a fight or a kill."

So that explained Vegeta's behavior earlier, Kakarot concluded.

Vegeta recalled his first transformation in his mind, the feeling of that newly awakened power flowing freely throughout his veins, the heart-pounding euphoria it brought to him. "Initially, I had a hard time controlling myself. It was a difficult struggle to begin with since it was more intense than transforming into an Oozaru. By my estimation, I think everything gets multiplied by around fifty times from base. Honestly I thought I was going to lose my mind but you know me, I got a natural exceptional self-control." Vegeta proudly exclaimed.

"Should I remind you that you lost control twice before?" Kakarot pointed out, not impressed by Vegeta's pompous speech of his own greatness and spoiling Vegeta's boasts. "Those times made no difference than becoming a Super Saiyan."

Vegeta shrieked in embarrassment, flustered at Kakarot's needless straightforward commentaries. "I... I don't remember any of that!" he denied in a stuttering manner.

"Of course, you don't. Your mind's shut during those times so how are you even going to remember that." Kakarot mumbled.

Vegeta shouted back at him, having enough of the teasing, "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!"

"Anyways, are you really sure you don't want to celebrate? Even just among us, let's eat out. What do you think?" Kakarot winked.

At the mention of a feast, Vegeta felt his stomach growl in hunger. He never realized he was this famished.

"Alright." he agreed. "I'll meet you and Raditz later."

"Great!" Kakarot said enthusiastically. Vegeta raised an eyebrow at him. Something was odd with the way Kakarot was acting. "I'll go and notify his Majesty that you are awake now. He wished to speak with the four of us." he put on index and middle finger over his forehead and disappeared to thin air before the Crown Prince could say another word.

Vegeta dismissed his suspicions, the fool was probably feeling excited at the thought of food. That glutton idiot. He shook his head and chuckled to himself.

Now that he's finally left alone in his room, Vegeta began reminiscing the odd dream he had before he just woke up. Somehow, somewhere in the deepest parts of his consciousness, he met a Saiyan who called himself as Yamoshi. He knew that name well being the one foretold in the ancient legends connected to the Super Saiyan. At first, Vegeta thought it was nothing but a phantasm of his sudden interest about the Legend after becoming a Super Saiyan himself. Yamoshi told him this:

"The Galactic Emperor has heard of the Saiyan prophecy which foretells his own demise by the hands of the one who will rise as both the Super Saiyan and the Super Saiyan god. He is determined to destroy the entire Saiyan Race because of it. I have foreseen this a long time ago and so my spirit wandered for so long, searching for a righteous and powerful Saiyan to be the vessel of my power. And when I saw you fight against Freeza, I immediately knew you were the one I was looking for. And so, I put my spirit unto you. It took a long time for me to awaken within you, but I am amazed that you are able to tap into my powers on your own. Why am I even surprised? You are my descendant after all. My blood flows through your veins as well."

Considering Kakarot's story about him speaking in ancient Saiyago, it turned out that this Yamoshi has taken over his mind and body to forewarn his father about the upcoming tragedy. Vegeta knew that he was the one meant to destroy that tyrant as a Super Saiyan but he also mentioned another form. Super Saiyan god. The only time he heard about that term was from Soi yesterday. Is it really possible that he also possessed the powers of a deity within himself? Is that the reason why he can magically heal himself?

Kakarot appeared along with King Vegeta, Zorn, Nappa and Raditz, who came from the secret dungeon where the Royal Force was gathered. The prince looked up at his father as the king asked him how he's feeling right now, Vegeta nodded.

"I was informed by Kakarot of the details earlier." the prince said. "It seemed that you started to plan without me."

"You and your Generals will have a different special unit." King Vegeta said.

"Of course. I would like to hear your plans first before I strategize our own."

The King quickly filled his son with the plans he commanded the Saiyan forces to execute by the time the Freeza Galactic Army attacks. The prince imagined a visual in his mind about the plans while he listened intently to his father's words.

"Bardock already foresaw what will happen so we formulated battle strategies which would counter any possible attacks from the Galactic Army's fleet. I have designated the Air Force to guard the atmosphere and to track any coming ships and shoot them as early as they can..." the King was saying.

"Do not be obvious with the welcome parade. We do not want to gain Freeza's attention and have him know that we are prepared, else if we incur his wrath, he will not land on Planet Vegeta and simply blast the planet from the outside. Let them be. I want them all to come down here." the prince suggested.

The King stared at his son with a comical look of disbelief. "Are you crazy?!"

"Freeza is afraid of the Saiyans' true potential. He's learned of the prophecy and is going to attack us because he is paranoid that a Super Saiyan will rise and kill him. Now that I have become one, I am sure that I will be his target. One Super Saiyan legend may worry him but with our numbers, it would be even more problematic on his side. Whether he tries to destroy us from outer space or if he wished to hunt me down first, we must be prepared for anything that could happen. It would be much better if he lands down on the planet. It would be more problematic for us if we will try to attack them as soon as they arrive since unlike the Arcosians, Saiyans have limited breath in outer space. If Freeza tries to blast the planet from the outside, I will stop it and I'm going to force him to land no matter what."

King Vegeta told his son. "As the chosen one of the Saiyans, we are counting on you to defeat Freeza. However, I will not allow you to fight alone on this, Yon. We and the rest of our people are going to fight too. Your only mission is to kill Freeza using your legendary might. Let us take care of his other soldiers."

"Yeah, give us a piece of the battle too! Don't get all too cocky and selfish just because you are a Super Saiyan now." Kakarot cut in.

Vegeta huffed as he turned his head away, chin up and a snotty look on his face, "Hmph! Fine! Do as you like, but if I were you, I will command the group of soldiers designated to the planets under the Saiyan Kingdom nearest to the edge of the North sector to monitor the Galactic Empire's numbers and report their findings to us. Truth be told, basing on what I sensed just now, we are completely outnumbered, it's too late even if we try to gather our allies across the Universe. I know that after all that I did in the past, not much of them would even put their trust in me.

"In my fight against the Empire the last time, I could say that most of his foot soldiers have an average power level of a thousand or less. They will attack on groups just as what we are planning to. Let the low level soldiers take care of a group of foot soldiers and the middle and Elite class soldiers against their platoon commanders. Divide them into groups as you see fit, with ten middle class soldiers and two Elites to lead them. They should be sufficient enough to kill those weaklings.

"As for their highest ranking Generals, those two who stood beside Freeza, I will personally take care of those fools. I will make them pay miserably for the humiliation they caused me months ago." the prince growled, his mind thinking of the gruesome ways Zarbon and Dodoria will suffer by his own hands. "And Freeza... I am going to end his life and make him wish that he shouldn't have been born!"

His father and his Generals all stared at him with their jaws dropped in trepidation. Vegeta has become more and more aggressive in comparison to his usually calm and strategic approach in battle. Even though he acted cocky and overconfident when he first fought against Freeza's soldiers months ago, but that was because he didn't want Freeza to be on his planet. He went as far as to blatantly order the Galactic Emperor to leave. Has becoming a powerful Super Saiyan really changed him that much?

Well, at least, he's not a berserker like what Broly becomes when he transforms.

Vegeta looked up and snorted loudly, a confident smirk stretched across his lips.

~=o-O-o=~

After that meeting, Vegeta told Kakarot and Raditz to wait for him behind the Crown Prince's Palace walls so he can celebrate his ascension to the Super Saiyan State with them. As he dressed up in his black armor and cloak, which reminds him of the old days he was disguising himself as Sadara, and the times he spent with Bulma, he found himself suddenly feeling upset. There was really something in Kakarot's earlier invitation that seemed suspicious.

He tossed the black cloak away, not wanting to wear it any longer. He took his golden money card and his scouter before he teleported himself to the meeting place.

Nobody was there when he arrived. He scowled to himself when he found Kakarot and Raditz missing. Where are those two idiots now? Are they trying to keep him, the Crown Prince of all Saiyans, waiting for lower class scums like themselves?

~=o-O-o=~

Little did Vegeta know, Kakarot and Raditz were having some trouble in their home...

"Please Bulma, you should come and eat with us." Kakarot convinced. "You haven't eaten much lately. Come on, it's going to be a treat."

"I'm not feeling well." Bulma excused herself. Kakarot and Raditz had been annoying her to no end since they returned from the palace about coming with them to eat at some fancy restaurant. They were trying to convince her to join them and come out of Raditz's room once in a while.

"You won't feel any better if you don't feed yourself." Raditz said, he was leaning sideways by the door frame, with his big, muscular arms crossed over his chest.

"Come on, Bulma. Do you honestly think Vegeta would be impressed if he knew you are acting this way?"

"Vegeta wouldn't care about me." Bulma mumbled on her pillow. The name and her own words stung her heart.

Kakarot chuckled. "Come on, we both know that's not true. He's a tsundere, remember?"

"Well... I guess you're right. Vegeta used to be a tsundere."

"Aww... I told you my punch would make a difference to that hard head of his. What are you going to do if he returns to you one night with all his memories intact? Would you be so unforgivable to him when we both know it's an accident that caused him to act like that?"

"As if that's gonna happen!"

"And if it does, what are you going to do?" Kakarot challenged. "You promised him that you will wait for him no matter what happens. If he indeed returns to you, are you going to break it up to him or are you going to welcome him back?"

Bulma got up from the bed, completely upset. "Oh fine! I'm coming! Just stop pestering me with your stupid what-ifs, please! You're annoying me!"

Kakarot stepped back at her ferocious temper. No wonder Vegeta chose her. She really is very similar to himself. He smiled to himself and chuckled. "Those ain't what-ifs."

"We'll wait for you by the front door, woman." Raditz said as he left. Kakarot followed his older brother out to leave Bulma to prepare herself.

Bulma mumbled angrily about how stupid these Saiyans are for not being sensitive enough to know she didn't wish to deal with them. What made her even more upset was how they casually teased her with Vegeta over and over again. She was angry because of the mere mention of his name and the thought of him still brought pain on her chest and tears to her eyes and Kakarot was being so insensitive about it.

The old Vegeta would have cared if he knew she wasn't taking care of herself. When they broke up twice before, she was told many times how restless and anxious the Crown Prince was about her well-being, especially that time when he confessed to her his true identity. Vegeta had admitted to her many times about how being away from her gave him sleepless nights thinking about her, but he would eventually deny them when he felt completely embarrassed of speaking about his inner feelings to her.

But the new one, the Vegeta who doesn't even remember her, will never do that. He has completely turned over the dark side and became as cold and ruthless as the rumors mentioned him to be. She has almost been on the receiving end of his murderous intentions twice. He has become a different person now and her last encounter with him only proved her that he isn't the same man she has fallen in-love with.

When Kakarot came back after he has confronted Vegeta about it, the Saiyan General has suddenly became enthusiastic about her relationship with Vegeta. The key pendant she left on the floor of the Gravity Room came back to her through him, reminding him of the promise she has made with Vegeta. Did Kakarot's punch truly affected Vegeta that much? Well, she could imagine it must have severely angered the Saiyan Prince for the insolence of someone lower than him to punch him like that. Vegeta's still as prideful as ever after all. But for him to convince the proud Prince Vegeta to suddenly care or feel remorse for the cruelty he did to her? Bulma shook her head. No, that is impossible. If Vegeta ever returns to her that way, will she be able to welcome him back again? He has broken her heart thrice already. Though she knew how his amnesia wasn't really his fault, and how she cannot blame him for that, what must she do if he indeed comes back to her with his memories regained? Will she be able to forgive him and give him another chance to make it up with her or will she finally break it up to him for good?

She held the key pendant on her hand and stared at it, being reminded by the promise she did with him and torn by Vegeta's 'promises are made to be broken' quote. This thing had no effect to him when she truly needed it. It was supposed to be the 'key to his heart'. She began to wonder why it didn't affect him like it did when he was going on a berserk rampage the night he was revived by the power of the full moon.

~=o-O-o=~

Vegeta was getting very impatient. He was on the verge of contacting Kakarot through the scouter when the clown finally appeared from thin air, along with Raditz and... her.

Vegeta and Bulma stared at each other with wide, shocked eyes. The both of them surprised to see one another at this unexpected time. For a few moments during that encounter, nobody said anything until Vegeta cut the silence with a displeased question to his Generals.

"Why did you bring this woman here?" he asked the Saiyan Brothers with a cold, imperious tone.

Kakarot simply shrugged his shoulders then he quickly grabbed Raditz's arm with his left hand and put his right index and middle fingers on his forehead. Before Vegeta could do anything, the two Saiyans disappeared so they could escape Vegeta's upcoming Super Saiyan wrath.

That last wink Kakarot gave him before he faded out irked the prince even further.

"Those nasty little bastards!" Vegeta seethed to himself. "What the fuck are they thinking?! I am going to kill them both!"

Thinking he didn't want to be left with her, Bulma decided to go back home without saying anything to him. She has no intention of being around him too. Those two idiots will definitely pay for setting them both in this trap, she'll make sure they will hear an earful the next time they appear to her.

Meanwhile, Vegeta was silently cursing himself. That annoying clown was really getting on his nerves! He knew he wasn't ready for this! Why is he being so persistent on this?

Looking extremely pissed off, Vegeta turned to Bulma and saw that she was about to leave. Reminiscing the pain he felt when she told him her goodbye in the Gravity Room, he knew he didn't wish to feel that ever again. He will not let this woman leave Planet Vegeta no matter what without fixing this mess he did.

"You..." Vegeta finally called her attention. Bulma froze at his voice, yet she refused to look at him. In her confused mind, she was surprised that the way he addressed her this time was different than before. That 'you' wasn't as hostile and rude as it usually did. (Note the differences between Vegeta's 'Kisama' and 'Omae' in the Japanese version. In this context, Vegeta used 'Omae' instead of his usual 'Kisama', hence Bulma's confusion in this scene)

Vegeta forced himself to look away, keeping his stoic composure.

"Follow me, woman." he commanded her in his usual princely tone before walking away.

Once Vegeta was far enough, Bulma finally focused her eyes on his direction. She watched at his back as he walked away, wondering if he was not even going to wait for her at all. Bulma hesitated at first. Where is he going to take her?

"Why should I follow you? And here I thought you didn't wish to see me ever again! I was only brought here by your annoying General, saying he would treat me to a restaurant! Also, stop ordering me around! I am not your person!" she shouted at him irately.

Vegeta didn't respond to her question or any of her words at all. He simply ignored her as if he didn't hear her rants or cared about them. He continued to walk away.

"Hey, I'm talking to you!" Bulma yelled at him. Still, there was no response from him. She watched as Vegeta disappeared into the swirling pit of darkness, leaving her alone. For some reason, something creepy in her chest felt overwhelming and she sprinted towards where Vegeta had gone.

"Wait!"

His shadow drifted away from her and she did her best to follow him, deep into the maze of darkened trees, lit only by the luminous glow of the moon and the sparkling stars above the dark red-violet night sky.

"Hey, where are we going?" Bulma asked, still with that hard, distrustful edge on her tone.

Vegeta still ignored her question just as he did earlier. He simply led her the way towards a familiar place to Bulma. Soon, she realized that they were on his way towards his meadow. The place where the both of them used to spend time together every night to train and gaze at the stars. The beautiful and peaceful meadow surrounded by the bluish white flowers that symbolized the pride of the Saiyans, the flowers that shared the same name as him.

"Why did you bring me here?" Bulma asked again, looking at the back of his head as he finally stopped his pace a meter and a half in front of her. Her voice, caught by the choking nostalgia, was a bit broken and softer than she intended it to be.

"I come in here once in a while whenever I wished to be alone. It's nice and quiet here. I just figured out that this place is a perfect spot for us to talk." Vegeta finally answered her.

Bulma sneered, "I have nothing to talk to you about. If you have something to say, I do not wish to hear it any longer. You are so cruel, you never considered other people's feelings. Sorry but I will take my leave now."

Bulma turned around and started walked away, back to where they came from. Vegeta hesitated at first, thinking whether he should simply let her leave or stop her. His pride was stopping him from calling out to her, making him reluctant. Is he really going to let her leave like that? Some unknown voice brought this unwanted question in his mind. He frowned to himself and for a few moments, he dithered.

In his mind, he thought he deserved such cold and angry treatment from her, not after what he did and said to her in the gravity room. But deep inside, he's hurt, betrayed for some reason. He didn't want this. He knew he cannot let her leave. He has to stop her.

So after a few moments of battling with his pride, he quickly turned around and called out to her, who was already several feet away from him, "Wait, Bulma!"

Bulma's steps halted and she slowly turned to him, with disbelieving eyes. "Did you... Did you just call me by my first name?" she asked, breathlessly.

Vegeta drifted his eyes away from her face, clearing his throat. "Why? You got a problem with that?" he grumbled.

"No. It's just that... Ever since you've lost your memories, you've been calling me 'Woman' all the time. You calling me by the first name again just feels... weird. Nostalgic, for some reason." Bulma admitted.

There was an awkward silence between them again. Vegeta felt uncomfortable at her words and simply shrugged his shoulders as he asked her in an embarrassed manner. "Are you alright?"

Bulma forced herself to smile just to show him she's not as weak as he thought her to be. "Of course, I am!" she exclaimed with pride as she tried her best to convince him.

The prince's eyes narrowed doubtfully, "I can sense that you are lying to me."

"Eh?" Bulma muttered, taken aback by his accusation. She heard among her co-workers in both the Royal Kitchen and the CPRD Department about how Vegeta was an intuitive individual. One thing most people admired about him is his amazing perception. He was always on point. Raditz and Kakarot told her so many times how he can easily decode if someone is lying to him or telling him the truth. It's the reason why he's feared to be an interrogator during a suspected individual's questioning. He could be a living lie detector machine.

With no other way for her to make an excuse, Bulma gave up. She lowered her eyes to her feet and mumbled. "It's because I feel uncomfortable and emotionally hurt being around you. That's why I said I do not wish to hear whatever you are going to say. I am afraid that you'll hurt me once again like you did to me last time."

"You don't need to be afraid. That won't happen again, I promise." Vegeta assured.

Bulma raised her eyes to gaze back at him. "But didn't you say that promises are made to be broken?" she reminded him.

"Then it's up to you then. I don't care about it anymore. I simply wanted to tell you my plans with your family since I am already done playing with them."

This time, Bulma looked up to him with shock. "What do you mean by that?"

Vegeta gazed at her with a bored look, shifting on one side as he crossed his arms over his chest plate. "Isn't it obvious? I'm releasing them from prison." he responded.

Bulma was momentarily silenced by those words, unable to believe it. Is Vegeta really serious? He's going to release her family? "Really?" she gasped, breathlessly.

Vegeta's eyes narrowed, getting annoyed. "Tch! What were you expecting?! Me killing them just like that after they have proven themselves as innocents?!"

"Didn't you initially plan on that to get rid of me?" Bulma pointed out.

Vegeta was getting more upset, "If I were to rid of you, I would have already destroyed you the moment you pointed that ridiculously stupid raygun of yours on my face! And if I was planning on killing your family, I would have killed them on the spot without questioning them - or rather, wasting my time dragging you all the way to my secret dwelling place just to tell you a lie!"

Vegeta was getting really annoyed and impatient by now. Because of this, Bulma decided not to say anything but thank him in an awkward matter, not wanting to provoke him and deal with his onerous temper. Vegeta cursed Kakarot for this, for butting in his plans and matters. He has no idea how he's going to begin at all! So he thought of ways on how he should start the conversation to show her how upset he was when he learned from Kakarot of her plans of leaving.

"So I heard that after this, you are planning to leave Planet Vegeta." the prince said after a few seconds of awkward silence between them.

"Yes." Bulma revealed nonchalantly.

Vegeta snorted out loud, "You foolish woman, who allowed you to leave without my permission?" he demanded her.

"I have already finished my duties to you. I am required to leave just as your father ordered me to do." Bulma reminded him.

"Who said that you are already done with your duties? Who was the one who told me that she will wait for me no matter what happens?" he asserted.

"You told me to forget about you and to stop deluding myself with fantasies that you would ever come back to me." Bulma countered.

"But I never told you to leave!" the prince suddenly roared in a furious voice.

Bulma's eyes shot up to him once again, stunned and terror-stricken at his sudden fury. Yes, he was right. He actually never told her to leave. She was the one who bid him farewell last time.

Vegeta seethed at her, his anger blaring in his darkened eyes. "Don't you dare leave without my permission... That is a royal command."

Bulma stared at him for a moment, trying to process his words. She fumed, feeling irate at the way he spoke to her. "Watch your mouth! Don't you command me like that! I am not your person!" she hollered at him.

"You are my property! You are mine! You are my person!" Vegeta bellowed.

"I am not anyone's property-!" Bulma retaliated.

"-You are my dearest, correct?" Vegeta finally blurted out, which caught Bulma in utter silence and disbelief.

She stared at him, wide-eyed. Did he just call her... His dearest? She cannot believe her ears when she heard him call him that. With quivering lips, she hesistantly asked him in a stuttering, broken voice, "You... Did you finally..?" Has he finally regained his lost memories of her? Did Kakarot's punch really affect him that way?

"Remember you?" Vegeta mocked in a scathing tone. And then he chuckled darkly, shaking his head. "No. I simply read that note inside that locket, you see. Also, did you forget how many times you told me that?"

He picked up something inside the chest plate of his armor and showed her the moon and star locket he was keeping. It was dangling on a brand new bracelet filled with moonstone beads.

"Oh... I see." Bulma said, disappointed to know that he still cannot remember a thing about her.

Vegeta watched at her with his austere gaze and after a moment of silence, he put the bracelet on his left wrist. Bulma watched him with wide eyes as he did that. Vegeta raised his dark eyes to gaze at her, and then let out a breath as if he was summoning his confidence, before he finally revealed, "There was a night while I was scanning through my training journal, I found this strange cartoon above every page of the notebook. At first I thought how ridiculous the drawings were but then I realized that there won't be anyone who could have doodled those things in my notebook but myself. That was my first flashback of memories with you. I remembered that there was a night I spent with you inside my private chambers while writing notes about a newly discovered technique and translating some blueprints you made about the Gravity Room into Saiyago. You deliberately and shamelessly fell asleep before me, carelessly sprawled on my floor like some drunken woman, snoring loud enough to distract my thoughts. And so I decided to stop what I was doing and simply watch you sleep. That time, dark thoughts filled my mind. I decided that you will be mine. That I will never let anything in this universe stop me from having you and if anything did... They shall suffer my wrath...

"When I got that first flash of memory, I realized something unexpected. I initially thought that the rage and bloodlust I felt when I woke up after the incident with Paragus at the cavern has something to do with my thirst for vengeance against those filthy traitors who almost killed me. But basing on those memories, your own words and Kakarot's story about us, I knew the possibility that it has something to do with you. Then I begin to wonder to myself, if you're that important to me then why, of all people, did I forget about you? Were you the reason why I almost failed on my mission in fulfilling the prophecy of the Saiyans? Just who are you to be a threat to me when you are nothing but a pathetic little woman I can easily crush with one thought alone? That's when I begin to treat you as if you a great threat to me. It's not about your mechanical genius that I saw you as dangerous. No, I know that it has nothing to do with you at all. The problem was within myself. The foolish, unacceptable and confusing emotions that you left in me despite losing my memories of you... These were the problems that I need to get rid of. That's why I did my best to ignore these lingering, annoying memories and feelings I had with you. But there you are doing your very best getting on my nerves with your attempts of making me remember. Because of that, I've been getting these flashes of my memories being with you. Plus, I can feel something annoying within me that bothers me everytime. I know those feelings aren't mine... Those were yours. Your thoughts and feelings of longing and worry for me were squirming their way in my mind and my supposedly dead heart. I did my best to ignore them all until... That night when we lit up the wish lanterns. After that... Kiss... That's when the flashes became much overwhelming and I couldn't take it all. When that happened, I came to a decision to finally get rid of you. I cannot have you doing all those stupidity and distracting me from my goals of obtaining the power I need to fulfill the prophecy."

"So you... Are you telling me that you already remember me during that time?" Bulma gasped in disbelief.

He nodded, "Mostly... Yes. Except for that fact that I have already chosen you as a mate, the promise within this locket and the meaning behind that key pendant you have. I wanted to rid of you because you are nothing but a useless distraction and weakness to me. So everything I told you last time were not lies. Since I have no memories of the promise I made with you, I thought it would be easy for me to get rid you. All those flashes of memories or those strange feelings I had meant nothing to me any longer for I have already changed a lot since the incident with Paragus at the cavern. After you left with tears in your eyes and told me your farewell, the feelings came even more painful. I had no idea why I cried at that moment, despite thinking I am free from you and these foolish emotions.

"Kakarot came to me. I have never seen that clown so indignant I thought he was a different person when he confronted me. He was a fool for standing up to me, but I commended him for his guts and courage. Despite knowing I can easily destroy him, he still challenged me on a fight. Hmph! I guess his Saiyan instincts can emerge in the surface when it is due. You should thank him. If not for him, I wouldn't be telling you any of this. Then perhaps, anything that's between us will be over."

Vegeta finally let out a genuine smile. "I've read the note on this locket. That's when I realized how foolish I was to say those mean words to you and hurting your precious little human feelings. I still tried to deny it since I do not wish a repeat of what happened to us in the cavern. In the end, Kakarot was able to convince me about how unbecoming this was for an honorable and prideful Saiyan warrior like myself, to break the promise I made with you just like that. And so I focused on my training, aiming to fulfill my mission as soon as possible so I can finally come back to you. Raditz and Kakarot did this because they thought it's already time for me to tell you the truth. Those two idiots are as persistent as ever. They were just afraid I won't be able to reconcile with you again." then he chuckled, shaking his head.

"I heard that you are being reckless and harsh with your training. Kakarot was worried that you won't wake up any longer." Bulma told him.

"Yeah."

Bulma yelled at him angrily, concerned. "Are you out of your mind?! I mean... Everyone knows how tough you are, but you don't have to subject your body to such an abuse!"

Vegeta flinched at that tone but was also surprised that she was scolding him for that, "You were worried about me?" he asked.

"Of course, I am, you jerk!" she admitted at him.

Vegeta remembered his dream where Bulma was calling his name and asking him anxiously what he was doing all this time. So those dreams... They're simply not a product of his guilt or desperation. They're all real? Bulma's really worried about him.

"I've been dreaming of you all those times I lost consciousness. I thought I saw you crying out for me, asking me what I've been doing all this time. And when I opened my eyes within the medical tank, you're simply not there... I... I just felt... Lonely. Even if it hurts me when you decided to give up on me and leave, I know I couldn't blame you after all that I said and did to you. I hated myself for saying those things to you, for hurting you, for losing you, for breaking your fragile, little human heart. When I remember the promise I made to you after you have said your goodbye to me, I started to hate myself because of it. I know that you won't be able to forgive me. I was left with no other choice but to leave you be and move on.

"Then I heard from Kakarot that you're planning to leave Planet Vegeta once I release your family. That was when I began to crumble. I tried to ignore my feelings for you for the sake of fulfilling my mission and my promise just as I did before, but it appeared that I failed once again. Even if I lost all memories of you, the feelings I had for you never changed. Perhaps it was because of the bond I shared with you when we mated. It never left me and it annoyed me to the core. I still love you no matter what. You are my dearest, my mate, my destiny, my princess, my future queen. You are everything to me.

"The mere thought of never seeing you again gave me the motivation to train the hardest that I could. The only thing I desired was to get stronger so that when I finished my mission, I can finally return to you. I subjected myself to the most rigorous training regimen I ever had in my entire life. The intensity of the fierce training I did was maddening! I endured everything but... the time came when I realized that I was at my limit. I couldn't get any stronger. I began doubting myself. I know I have the power within me. I'm so ridiculously close to achieving it. Where am I lacking at? I don't understand. How can Broly achieve such power while I, the Crown Prince of Saiyans who was supposed to be the prophesied one, cannot? I'm short on time. In one day, the Annual Power Assessment will begin with my battle with Broly. I cannot surpass Broly like this. I need that power to awaken within me and control it or else... I will fail. And if I failed, I would lose everything I fought my entire life to protect. I never felt so frustrated my whole life. It was even greater than the feelings I felt when I struggled for life that cold, lonely evening I almost died by Paragus' tricks. Rage, frustration, need, desire... All these feelings burned within me until I was consumed by them!

"And then... Finally, I transformed."

A cocky smirk stretched across Vegeta's lips as his dark eyes sparked with excitement. The surrounding air began to blow around them as he slowly, silently powered up.

Bulma watched in awe as the prince spread his legs apart at shoulder-length, pulled his arms on his sides, flexed them and closed his hands into tight fists. She saw how Vegeta's body was gradually engulfed by a thin layer of flaring golden energy. His dark eyes flashing from dark onyx to jade green and his rippling flaming hair changed color from its usual jet black color to neon green until it flared golden.

It was almost the same thing that has happened to him after she kissed him the last time.

"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

With a loud, powerful shout, a golden aura exploded around Vegeta's body and then burst outwards, causing a shockwave enough to topple Bulma backwards into her behind.

Yet despite all that power he had unleashed, Bulma still watched in awe at the sight of the legendary golden warrior in front of her. She picked herself up from the ground, and reached out her arms towards him as she shambled, ignoring the level of heat his legendary power was releasing. That pure, violent Super Saiyan aura was like a conflagrant flame. As if he was the blazing sun, unapproachable with that scalding power of his, yet she didn't care about any of it. She just wanted to celebrate his transformation and congratulate him on a job well done.

"You did it..." Bulma gasped breathlessly as she reached out to him. "You finally did it, Vegeta! I knew it! Congratulations!" she squealed happily as she launched herself to embrace him.

Vegeta was startled at her actions as he immediately dissipated his fiery, violent aura, which may burn her entire being before she could even touch him. Once her arms were wrapped lovingly around his neck, he complained, flustered. "What the hell are you doing, woman?! Are you trying to strangle me again despite knowing I am a Super Saiyan now?"

Bulma chuckled. "I'm not strangling you, silly. I am hugging you."

Vegeta blushed at her words. "You know that's not what I meant. If you have carelessly attacked me like that, even my energy could deciminate your flesh and bones in no time! Are you an idiot?!" he shouted.

She chuckled, "I see that you cared for me now, eh?"

"Don't get the wrong idea! Just so you know, I'm at a condition where my bloodlust is at its boiling point. The mere thought of slaughtering and destroying is making the Saiyan blood within me to boil with the thrill. So... So..."

Bulma peered closer to his ear and asked in a drawling, seductive voice. "So... Are you going to kill me now?"

"Don't you dare challenge me, woman." Vegeta warned.

"Then I dare you." Bulma bravely challenged.

"Foolish woman... You're still not afraid of me despite me becoming a Super Saiyan, are you?" he growled.

Bulma shook her head, "No. Not at all." she answered him in a matter of fact tone.

"Hmph! Then you truly are an idiot." Vegeta snorted out loud as he finally pulled away from her. "Yet, despite your foolishness, I just do not want you to become my first victim now that I am finally a Super Saiyan. Congratulations for successfully finishing your job. You should feel grateful. Your life has been spared by the great and mighty Vegeta-sama."

"Are you really serious about that?" Bulma chuckled, remembering the time when Vegeta threatened to kill her and the entire CPRD Department's lives if they failed to help him become a Super Saiyan in one week.

"You don't want that? If I kill you right now, you won't be able to feast your eyes on me ever again. Can't you see that I'm a lot sexier in this new form?" Vegeta asked, an impish smirk wide across his lips.

Bulma laughed at those words, finally relieved to know that her beloved prince has finally come back to his senses.

"Now that you've mentioned it... I guess you're right about that." Bulma agreed. She looked at him lovingly, approaching him once again, fearlessly. She doesn't fear him being this dangerous anymore, for she is 100% sure that he won't hurt her again like he did last time. After all, he's finally come back to his true self. She raised her hand to touch his chest plate, staring into his intense jade-green irises.

"Blonde looks good on you. I like the new color of your eyes. Also..." she looked down at his chest plate. Despite being in his royal armor, she could clearly see that his muscles were slightly larger than in his normal form. The sight suddenly made her a little thirsty and she instinctively rolled her tongue across her lips. "You're a little more muscular than usual."

Vegeta snorted. "So now do you see what kind of sight you will miss if I killed you right there?" and then he playfully raised and lowered his eyebrows. He grinned naughtily as he said, "That's not all. You'll definitely lose your chance to get the best mating experience the universe has to offer!"

Bulma playfully pushed him back, "You jerk!" she laughed.

"Why? Don't tell me you don't want that? I mean you've been enjoying spending time with me. And just so you know, I'm about fifty times rougher and faster than my normal form. Does that make you a little excited?"

"Do you think I am suicidal enough to try that?!" Bulma yelled him.

He simply shrugged his shoulders. "I just thought it could help me with my special training on how to properly control my strength..." Vegeta mumbled to himself, turning away from her.

Vegeta frowned, realizing what he's saying to her. He inwardly berated himself for such stupid words. How could he say all those things at a time like this?! Despite finally achieving his goal to transform into the Legendary Super Saiyan form he's been trying to obtain these past days, Vegeta knew he's not done with his mission yet, so he still cannot be with her.

"Hey..." he finally said after an awkward, minute long silence.

Bulma turned to him and waited.

"I know how selfish, cruel, bossy and annoying I am. Still, I am asking you to never give up on me no matter how much pain I'm causing you. If you only know how it's more painful for me every time I hurt you. I... I'm sorry that we had to go through all of these and you have to suffer because of me. I just... I just want to be with you for eternity, without anyone or anything getting in our way.

"Countless times I have daydreamed of a life where we could have met in another circumstance, where there's no rules, laws or forbidden love that will stop us from being together. I would have gladly taken that to avoid the pain. But then, they say that pain is what makes a warrior stronger. I guess, the same thing goes with loving someone. Don't you think?"

"Wait a little more for me, would you? I'll come back to you soon, just wait and see!" he told her. "I will never make you regret becoming my mate and the mother of my heir. After all of this, you will realize that everything we went through will be worth it."

Bulma was suddenly confused, and so she wanted a clarification. "The what?"

Vegeta raised an eyebrow. "Don't tell me you did not know about it?", he tried his best to act like he was surprised, though he actually knows the truth as to why Kakarot never told her about it.

"Know about what?"

"That you are pregnant with my child."

"I am?!" Bulma gasped. So is that the reason why she felt nauseous and weak this whole time? She instinctively grabbed at her lower abdomen and realized what he meant when she felt it was bloated. She has never realized that before. She shook her head, trying to deny his words. "Impossible!"

"Why is it impossible when we already did it twice?"

She stared at him for a while, uncertainty in her eyes as she gently rubbed at her abdomen. How does he expect her to react? Truth be told, she was completely overwhelmed by mixed feelings of uncertainty, fear, doubt, elation and adoration at the same time. She's only seventeen years old, for goodness sake, and pregnant already! Both of them are just teenagers, and she's not just normally pregnant like her kind. She is carrying in her the child of the strongest of the alien Saiyan race.

Not seeing any reaction like he expected from her, the Saiyan Prince asked, "Aren't you happy that you carry my seed in you?" Vegeta didn't know how to feel about this either. It was especially awkward for him to have mentioned about their child to her and even more when he didn't get any good response from her. He focused his ki senses to hers, and felt his seed's power developing within her rapidly. His brows furrowed when he sensed two developing powers within her. They're twins? Vegeta was astounded. Both the fetuses' ki were especially strong, he wondered if she will be alright knowing how fragile her human body was. He used this opportunity to make use of their bond in order for him to learn what she was thinking or feeling at the moment and he could tell how anxious and overwhelmed she was at the revelation that she's pregnant with his children.

"If it bothers you that much, I can rip that thing off from you." he offered.

Bulma's eyes immediately shot up to him in surprise. Is he suggesting an abortion of the child? "Are you out of your mind?!" she suddenly screamed at his face, making him flinched at the sound of her voice. Vegeta sensed anger and disbelief from her about his offer and he stepped back, wondering what was wrong with her all of a sudden. "What are you saying?! Are you trying to kill your own child?"

"No! Of course not!" Vegeta quickly denied. "But... I was beginning to wonder if you are going to be alright. Those children are half Saiyan and from what I'm sensing, and their ki is too strong for your pathetic human body to handle. Once they developed even further, they could bring you much trouble your weak body might not be able to take it."

The color drained from Bulma's horrified face at his straightforward words. He can't be serious. She knew Saiyans are extremely strong, and her carrying the half breed children of the strongest Saiyan would probably cause her excruciating pain in the future.

Wait, did he just say children? As in plural?

She stared at her mate for a moment, silently questioning why he said that.

"Did you say children?"

Vegeta nodded slightly. "I can sense two developing powers in your womb. This could only mean that you are carrying a pair of twins."

"Eh?! Really?!"

She saw the undeniable worry in his eyes. She could tell he was as anxious as her. Both of them are too young to be bearing children, though she thinks it wasn't much of a problem for Saiyans. She guessed it's not the reason why he seemed so bothered about her pregnancy. It was something else.

Bulma forced herself to smile as she wrapped her arms around her belly as if she is selfishly taking it as hers. "It's okay. I want these children. I'm going to be alright." she assured him.

Of course she will be alright. Vegeta tried to convince himself as he recalled his dream about his family with her. He was even more worried of the consequences he might face if his father learns about this. He was beginning to think of ways on how he can keep her by his side without his father knowing.

He smirked at her, doing his best to conceal his worries as he reached out his hand to gently caressed her face with his fingers, "You don't have to be afraid, woman." he assured her. "I have made specific orders for your little vacation with Raditz to set off on Planet Namek while we Saiyans go on a war. Do you remember the plan with the Dragon Balls?"

Bulma nodded.

"While waiting for my command and for Kakarot to pick you up in there, try to find a way to invent a device that can conceal the ki in your body so no one won't be able to detect or sense it. Create one for yourself and for each member of your family. You can do it, right?"

Bulma nodded again, "Of course!"

"Good." he muttered and then smiled at her lovingly. He pulled her closer to him in a gentle embrace, what she called was a hug, and rested his chin over her right shoulder. A satisfied look upon his face. "Now I know I can sleep much better tonight. I will win no matter what! And when I return to you after the battle, I will make sure that we will be together."

Bulma hugged him back, smiling to herself. This time she couldn't help her tears from flowing, tears of joy. Finally, her prince has come back to his senses. She longed for him so much and now that she is wrapped in his arms made her feel comfortable and glad, all her worries and fears lifted from her heart.

Vegeta pulled away from her, staring up to her cerulean eyes. He reached out to her and gave her a deep, passionate kiss.

But-

Vegeta suddenly noticed two ki signatures behind the trees and he quickly pulled away from Bulma in embarrassment. Kakarot and Raditz were stalking at the both of them, teasing them for their cheesy romantic actions.

"What the hell are you two doing in there?!" Vegeta roared, sending a white bolt of lightning emanating from his Super Saiyan aura towards the two Saiyan brothers.

Two ear-piercing screams followed that flash of thunder.

A few moments later...

A completely pissed off Saiyan Prince showed up on Bardock's house. He was holding Bulma's right hand with his left. Bulma was staring at him in an odd way. Behind them followed the Prince's two badly injured Generals after being electrocuted by the completely furious Vegeta.

Gine didn't know whether she should congratulate the irate prince for his ascension to the Legendary Super Saiyan state and reconciliation with his mate or to simply keep quiet about it. She sent her sons to tell Vegeta that the simple feast Kakarot asked for her to cook to celebrate Vegeta's ascension has been prepared but they ended up angering the prince instead.

"Oh your Highness, would this feast be enough for you to calm your anger down?" Gine awkwardly asked him, pointing at the dining table full of food she prepared for him. There were also bottles of fim for them to drink.

At the sight of the food and drinks at the table, Vegeta's furious mood eventually melted. "This should be sufficient enough." he replied coldly.

"I'm glad I had some extra of your favorite Nokma over here to satisfy you, your highness."

Gine gave her sons a stern look, "The two of you, please stop playing around. Go to your rooms and fix yourselves before you join us in the table."

"Yes mom. We're sorry." Kakarot mumbled.

Once Raditz and Kakarot were done, they spent the entire night celebrating the Crown Prince's long awaited Super Saiyan transformation.

Vegeta spent the following morning training in his Gravity Room. By afternoon, he was summoned by his father in his office to discuss a lot of things with Kabocho, the Minister of Military Affairs, War and Strategies, about the venue of the battle for tomorrow and some more details about the Ministry of War's preparations against the Freeza Army. Vegeta suggested that the remaining Atijebu Military Clones should participate in the battle, since each of his clones still have a useful power level of nearly 2,000. Kabocho agreed to the Crown Prince's suggestion and he promised that he would find a way to convince ATI 9001 to join them.

Little did they know was that something bad has happened to ATI 9001. The commander of the Atijebu Military Clones was kidnapped by the bushy auburn haired scientist and her mysterious companion. With ATI 9001's fall, the rest of the clones had eventually shut down and fell unconscious wherever they were hiding.

The female scientist chuckled darkly to herself as she looked up into the starry night sky of the planet.

"I can't wait for the beautiful fireworks to begin tomorrow." she said in a squealing, excited voice as she imagined the upcoming events by tomorrow.

Author's Notes: Upon further reading this and the previous chapter after pulling Episode 29 out, I realized that I didn't actually missed anything. I have put all the necessary references to the past episodes where certain events happened. The only thing I need to remind readers is how this story is an ALTERNATE UNIVERSE and that as an author, I can play certain elements accordingly to what I want to happen in this story.

To address the questions given to me on AO3, I will answer them here.

Q1: How is Vegeta able to become Super Saiyan god without becoming a Super Saiyan?

Answer: It was mentioned on Episode 16, 28 and this one that Vegeta is a direct descendant and reincarnation of Yamoshi/Moyashi. It is theorized that he already possessed the powers of a deity even before awakening as a Super Saiyan because of these reasons.

Q2: Since when is he able to heal himself and others using SSG powers?

Answer: It is well known that Vegeta's regeneration rate was faster than any of his kind, that's why his DNA was used as a material for the synthetic liquid used in the medical tanks (See Episodes 18 and 20). The reason for this was initially unknown but it could be theorized that it has something to do with him being the reincarnation and last descendant of Yamoshi. Vegeta first displayed the power to heal himself subconsciously while he was recuperating in the medical machine after his fight with Zarbon and Dodoria on Episode 5, and his power to heal others using his ki was first displayed on Episode 20 when Vegeta healed Broly from the injury he inflicted upon him during their fight the previous episode.

Q3: Is Vegeta possessed by the first SSG? Is this how he transformed? Why has the deity waited until now to reveal himself?

Answer: Yamoshi himself answered this while possessing Vegeta's body in this Episode.

Q4: Why is Vegeta insisting on keeping Bulma in the dark about him regaining his memories? Aren't they bonded?

Answer: See Episode 28 and 29, Vegeta answered Kakarot that he thinks it's not time for him to reconcile with Bulma yet because of his mission. Remember that he promised her on Episode 20 that he will only return to be with her forever after he is done with his mission to his people. Please keep in mind that the fate of the ENTIRE UNIVERSE rests on his shoulders. He must do anything in his power to keep her and everyone from being destroyed by the Galactic Emperor. That is why he is focusing most of his time training to gain power in this short amount of time, in order to protect her and everyone. Don't you get how much he's sacrificing his love for her just to get stronger in order to protect her?

As for the bond, yes, they are bonded. But Vegeta is capable of disclosing off his emotions to himself and ignore whatever it brings to him. (an example of this is shown in Episode 17 when Bulma cried when she saw Vegeta getting engaged to Kinoko and Vegeta, who was initially distracted at first, felt her feelings. He has later learned how to ignore them and consider them as something annoying and useless when he has no memory of her, hence the reason why he wanted to kill her on Episodes 27 and 28.)

Q5: About Vegeta's future relationship with Caulifla and Bulma...

Answer: You'll have to wait until the battle is over.

Moonlight Destiny is about to end in 4 or 5 episodes from now.

Next is Episode 31: Fight Day, Vegeta vs Broly!
