A/N: I've neglected updating most of the week cause of school, BUT I have been working on it during class and spare time. Also, due to the fact that I can't for the life of me, figure out a way to interpret Ghirahim into the Lanayru sacred flame quest thing, I'll be skipping that section and be going straight to the quest for the Eldin Sacred flame. So, basically, Ghirahim won't be appearing for a little while. Also, the main reason why I haven't updated all week, or should I say All weekend? Skyward Sword. I have been playing it nonstop all day yesterday and today. I literally went from the whole "two whirling sails puzzle" straight through and beat the game. Yeah... I have a problem. Anyway..., ONTO THE STORY!
Disclaimer: I do not own Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, or the lyrics to Din's Power, I simply found them on Youtube.
It had been a month since Kella had seen any signs of the Demon Lord. Yes, she was thrilled to not have to deal with him, however that just left two thoughts. He was either terrorizing somebody, or he was starting to figure out where it was that Zelda and Link were.
"I haven't thought about Link in a really long time." She realized aloud. "Wow. Sister of the year award right there." She muttered before she reluctantly hit the crest in the isle of songs with her skyward strike, all the more powerful now that her sword had two sacred flames in it.
"Mistress Kella. I have important information." Fi said as she appeared in front of her.
"Shoot." Was all Kella said as she sheathed her sword.
"When you struck the crest with a skyward strike from your sword, a message from the Goddess awakened deep within my memory. The Goddess intended this message for you, Mistress. These are her words." Kella waited patiently. She could've sworn she could hear the faintest hint of music in the background, but then again, that was ridiculous!
"She who seeks the sacred flames, listen well, for I am the one guiding you from my place at the edge of time. The last of the sacred flames still eludes you. To obtain it, you must first earn another sacred gift." Kella touched the dragon scale lightly with one hand, and wrapped her fingers softly around the clawshots in her adventure pouch.
"Another one?" She murmured, more to herself than to her sword spirit.
"Make use of the power of these gifts and you will most certainly find the path to the sacred flames. Now, I bestow unto you another melody. Let it serve as a key to unlocking your final trial, which awaits you upon Eldin Volcano."
She took a deep breath as the familiar feeling of knowing exactly what she was doing washed over her. She plucked at the strings in a quick upbeat, and started to mumble lyrics.
"Open up the way To the volcano. Under tempest winds and, Under flames scorching. Guide the hero boy. Young and so naive. But let Din guide him. With her power boundless. Fire rage, powerful flame. Oh, goddess Din! Take him to the heart of the inferno. Bring him to the place. Where you rest your head. With the messenger And the sacred sword. Let him enter in, to banish the evil. Take him to your sacred flame!" She sang along, finishing in shock. "That was new." She mumbled quietly to herself before she finished the song, throwing her hands up in the air triumphantly, giggling uncontrollably.
Kella grinned determinedly up at Fi, as the sword spirit patiently came down to her and levitated there, waiting for her mistress to calm down enough to pay attention to the important information she had for her.
"According to my records, that song you just heard is called, Din's Power. Use this song of might to locate the last trial. I have committed Din's Power to my memory. Now you have the ability to use dowsing to locate the final trial. I strongly suggest that you head for Eldin Volcano." Fi said mechanically before she retreated into the Goddess White Sword.
Kella didn't know why she did it, but she decided to land in the Volcano Ascent instead of the entrance way. It was just this feeling she had. She was right, though.
She pulled out her harp and started to strum the quick tune, her fingers gliding swiftly and delicately over the harp, causing their duet to take off, Fi singing mechanically as she played the necessary notes on the harp. It wasn't long before a light blue ring appeared under her feet.
The Silent Realm was eerily quiet, as usual. The moment she stepped outside of the circle, all of the Guardians chased after her immediately. She grabbed the closest tear before she made her way through the silent realm. She lost count how many times she fell into lava, ran into water, got a spot light dropped on her, got hit by a guardian, or just plain fell as she progressed throughout the silent Realm. By the time she had finally finished the silent realm, she was beyond jumpy.
Kella wearily emerged from the trial gate, now in possession of a brand new pair of fabulous Fire-shield Earrings.
She eagerly placed them in the freshly pierced holes in her ears. 'When did that happen?' She wondered curiously to herself, trying to figure out how her ears got pierced without her knowing it. She shrugged her shoulders absentmindedly. "How and when does anything happen to me?" She thought out loud to herself, before she turned towards the path that led to the cave that caused her to catch fire the last time she had been there.
"Here goes nothing."
Much later.
"OH MY FUCKING GOD YOU STUPID ASS FUCK OF A FUCKING ROBOT! JUST FUCKING STAY PUT HERE! OR, WHATS MORE, IF YOU FUCKING SEE MONSTERS SURROUNDING YOU, INSTEAD OF BITCHING AT ME ABOUT IT, WHILE I AM ALREADY RISKING MY FUCKING LIFE TO SAVE YOUR PATHETIC NECK, FUCKING RUN AWAY!" She screamed at the robot after about an hour or two of the robot malfunctioning.
"Bzzt. This is the point of the game, Mistress shortpants-"
"STOP CALLING ME THAT!" She screamed at him again before she spun around and started slash away furiously at the Moblin, taking out all of her built up rage and frustration on the creature. "Now. Shut up. Keep up. Do as I say." She practically growled out.
Eventually, they made it back up to the Volcano Summit, Kella muttering curses the whole way.
"...stupid, pathetic, ungrateful, lazy-ass robot." She muttered as the robot dumped the water on the frog statues tongue. The fire disappeared, and so did the chatting robot. She glanced into the dark entry way before she glanced to the sword at the handle of her sword. She liked to believe that the gems were Fi's eyes when she was in there. She exchanged a glance with the sword spirit before she took a deep breath and headed deep into the Fire Sanctuary.
I decided to wrap all this getting to the Fire Sanctuary stuff up during this chapter. I'm just really tired, and I needed to get this chapter up. I'm really sorry I haven't updated in so long. I planned to spend the whole day updating, but then I played Slyward sword for a bit while I ate, and then I couldn;t stop playing it, beat it, then started hero mode and ya. ^^;
Ghirahim won't appear until chapter 23.
I'm planning plans.
