Disclaimer: I do not own Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword
Kella rushed into the boss room head on. After the last boss, when she hadn't seen Ghirahim, she had grown reckless. Not fearing whatever was behind the door in the slightest. She hadn't expected him to be in a place like this.
"Oh, hello there, Kella!" He exclaimed, turning around with a broad grin on his face. "I see you're still among the living. Fancy meeting you here." She narrowed her eyes critically at him. 'Not really. This is the location of the final flame. Which you knew.' She thought, narrowing her eyes skeptically. He glanced around absent mindedly as he turned t the right to glance at the wall as he spoke. "We seem to bump into each other time and time again. Oh, it's not coincidence though, is it? You and I, we're bound by a thread of fate!"
She smirked slightly. "Also known as the rope of fate! Otherwise known by the cord of fate!" She exclaimed sarcastically, grinning slightly.
Ghirahim smirked before he flipped his hair out of his and spread his arms out wide on either side of him. "Look at these old drawings!" She raised her eyebrows slightly at him before she glanced up at the drawings. The one on the left showed a brown background, a yellow gate of time in the middle with dark brown human-looking figures on their knees worshiping it. "Until I found these I was...upset. About that little stunt, the goddesses guard dog pulled at the gate of time. Oh, what was that twig's name again? Impa?" She shook her head slightly.
"You're really not good with names, are ya mate?" She commented as she crossed her arms over her chest with a small smile on her face.
"Well, nevermind that! Because these drawings suggest the existence of a second Gate of Time!" She glanced over at the second drawing that was basically exactly like the first except the people, background, and gate of time were all green, and there were trees instead of a bunch of cactus. "This news has just, filled my heart with rainbows!" He exclaimed in excitement causing her to snicker.
"I'm very happy for you. I'm sure you two will be ahem, very happy together." She commented with a grin.
He turned and took a single step to the side, starting to walk forward as he spoke. "I've been a busy boy, searching here and there, and-" He disappeared in a cloud of diamonds. "Everywhere for another gate of time." His words echoed around the room as she glanced around in a slight panic as she looked for him. She noticed him a few feet to the left of her, on his knees. "And yet, I couldn't even find a single clue! Since I know I can be honest with you I'll admit, I got a little sulky." She raised an eyebrow at him as he disappeared again. "It was frowns all around." His words echoed around the room again.
"What is he doing." She muttered under her breath as her eyes went over his beautiful figure.
"The thought of never getting my hands on that darling young girl again was...well more than I could bear." She rolled her eyes at him in exasperation. "But then..." He grinned before he dove off the edge and appeared behind her with his hands on her shoulders. "Then I found this place. The prospect of a second gate of time has made me positively giggly." With slightly shaking hands, Kella gripped her sword and swiftly spun around to slash at him only for him to evaporate in a cloud of diamonds. She narrowed her eyes as she scanned the room.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are." She murmured before she noticed him landing lightly on his feet a few feet away.
"That girl...Your adorable friend, she will be instrumental in bringing about the revival of my master! Though I feared that she was quite beyond my reach, I despair no longer!" He said as he stretched his arms out wide on either side of him, practically yelling in glee to the roof.
She crossed her arms over her chest and narrowed her eyes slightly, a small smirk on her face. "I'm so happy for you. Absolutely. Can't you tell just how overwhelmed with happiness for you I am?" She commented dryly, her voice filled to the brim with sarcasm. This only seemed to fuel Ghirahim with more glee.
"Before we talk any further on that subject. There is still the outstanding matter of you punishment." She raised an eyebrow at him.
"Excuse me?" She raised her eyebrows at him in disbelief.
"I've been thinking,"
"Oh dear god, don't do that!" She scolded before she grinned slightly. "You might bring about the end of the world before your "master" even gets the chance!"
He glared at her. "Perhaps corporal punishment, such as deafening you, may be a touch harsh."
"You think?" She raised an eyebrow at him.
"I might be willing to forgive and forget." He smirked. "If you strike a deal."
She glared heatedly at him. "What would make you think I would ever make a deal with you?"
He grinned at her. "Come now, sky-child. All I am asking is that you tell me where to find the second gate of time, and I won't kill you."
"So that's why. You have no idea where it is." She laughed mockingly. "God, you're an idiot." She laughed at him. "No. I'm not telling you anything." She quickly unsheathed her sword. "I would rather die." He sighed sadly.
"Such behavior. I can see that I won't need to go easy on you this time. What a pity." He slowly raised his arms and flexed his fingers causing his arms to turn pure black, his muscles flexing slightly. Her eyes widened slightly at his arms. They looked indestructible. "Lovely, aren't they?" Ghirahim said with a smirk as he noticed her staring. "You will find that the skin of my arms is far tougher than any armor. Doesn't their shape leave you...Breathe less?"
"Oh yeah, absolutely." She muttered sarcastically. "Much breathe, very gone."
"Ahhhh Behold!" He exclaimed as he put a hand on his head, posing. "Such beauty! Such a pure form! Such and exquisite physique! Such stunning features!" She hid her smile behind her hand, eyes lighting up slightly in amusement. "Yes I've pretty much got it all. Though there is one teensy, tiny, thing I lack..."
"Modesty?" She offered as she rushed forward unexpectedly, and the battle began.
(Ghirahim's POV)
Ghirahim narrowed his eyes as he jumped back away from her attack. Her hat had come loose from her head and had fallen uselessly to the floor in the middle of the room. He snapped his fingers, summoning two daggers to shield him on either side. He settled for defensive moves as she got rid of his daggers swiftly before attacking him continuously, barely giving him chance to breathe in between attack, hitting him every time.
He gritted his teeth in annoyance before he summoned his dual swords to him, catching the easily. He smirked at her before he clashed one of his swords against hers, knocking it from her grasp easily. She gritted her teeth before she went after it, only for him to knock her aside.
'What now? What re you going to do?' A voice inside his head taunted. 'What is your next move going to be...elf.' He winced internally as he brought his arm up to stab her. He could kill her right here. There was no escape for her this time. Her sword was far away. She was defenseless. Backed into a wall. So why not go through with it.
"What are you waiting for?" She spat, venom lacing her voice. He hesitated, his arms in the air, about to stab her. He found that he was frozen. He couldn't move. Couldn't look away. He wasn't even sure if he was breathing or not. All he could see was her transfixing blue eyes, all he could hear was her voice, speaking repeatedly in his head.
'"What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for?" What am I waiting for?' He had no idea. If he were to get rid of her now, then he would be free to resurrect his master without any further interference from her. And yet... 'And yet...'
He couldn't do it. He simply remained there frozen. The very thought of her dying by his hand made him feel ill. 'What is wrong with me?' He couldn't believe it. He was stood there, like an idiot, paralyzed by this human. He slowly lowered his weapons before taking a few steps back.
"..." Kella stared at him for a moment, not sure what to do.
"It should not matter how powerful your spirit is...You are not just a human, but also a human child. Yet, you always seem to...prevail." He sounded defeated. "May we meet again, sky-child." He whispered before he snapped his fingers and disappeared into a cloud of diamonds...
Here it is! Sorry for the wait, let me know what you guys think of this new direction they're headed in. ;)
