Hello everyone. I am hitting a lot of pairings that aren't around much. This is one of them that doesn't even have a name pairing, which is a shame. Anyways, she appears in the Light Novel Volume 12 and saves Bell in a big way. I had to run an idea on top of my head on this one. It wasn't an easy one, until the idea of taking Xenos out of the dungeon sounds fun. So hope you all enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I don't own Danmachi and the characters.

Bell packed up some things and made sure things were in order. He sighed and remembered he gave Fels a message about his plans. They rejected it, for which he understood the reasons, but one person left. He knew she would be on the lower levels and it won't be easy. The mage told him that maybe she would take the offer.

He was given the items with him and told him of a small place a bit distance away, which would be perfect for her. He was up and early and all packed up. He left the room, not before bumping into Welf.

"Morning Bell. Heading out?"

"Yes. Just have to go back on my own to take care of something. Might take the whole day."

"Ahh. Do try to stay safe out there."

He nodded and left.

25th Floor….

A young mermaid stared up at the ceiling of the place she calls home, and sighs happily. She is looking back at a great memory of a certain white haired young man, who she fell in love with. She giggled at how flustered he was of seeing her and how brave he was in destroying the Moss Huge.

Of course, she grew courageous when Bell was close to his death and flowed her blood on him just for him to survive another day. She later learned he, along with his companion, were able to defeat the Juggernaut, which to the others within the Dungeon, was a miracle. She was happy he was alive, and hoped he hadn't forgotten about her. She hoped.

She then began to sing a song of love she learned from Fear. The words were sung and this would strangely keep some monsters tame. She kept singing on, still thinking about the man. The desire to see him again.

"Wow...what a beautiful song."

She turned around and had a big smile on her face.

"Bell!"

He went over and sat next to her, as she hugged him. It has been a more than a month after seeing each other. She loves hugging him, always warm as she giggled from the hug.

"It has been a while, Marie. How are you holding up?"

She smiled softly and giggled "I'm doing well. A bit bored sometimes. I don't mind talking to other Xenos that come here from time to time. How about you?"

He smiled softly "I've recovered and got better. Ryuu was able to recover and seemed to be all smiles now. I also made it to Level 5."

She smiled brightly "Congratulations!"

As the mermaid held his hand, he blushed. "I'm happy that you are doing better, Marie. You are a very brave mermaid."

She nodded as she laid her head on his shoulder "Can you tell me about the surface?"

An interesting topic but one that would be perfect for her decision. "Sure."

He then began to take off his pants, boots and jacket, leaving his shirt and shorts on went inside of the pool of water and he sat on the edge and Marie looked at him with interest.

"The sky is beautiful blue in the morning with clouds at times. The sun is brighter than here, and warm on Summer days. Winter times are far, and a little cold. During the night time the stars will shine brightly along with the moon…"

He went to explain more about a village called Melen, which had a larger body of water not far off from it. A body of water than where they were, along it is as fresh as where she swims. So many different creatures are there at times, to be able to see, with some being harmless.

The more she listened to it, the more she enjoyed the surface. A desire she would love to be there, to enjoy it, to feel the skin on her body something different. To feel that sunshine with her indigo skin. But she realized she can't leave. She looked a little sad when she saw her fins.

"I wish I could see it, but I am stuck here."

She looked at Bell and noticed a smile on him. "I asked a favor for someone to bring me a very rare invisibility cloak with me. I could take you to the surface, plus in order to keep you hydrated…."

He took out a locket with a blue gem that radiated power "This will keep you fresh without needing the water."

Her eyes widen. He was offering her to go to the surface. Her dreams might come true, to be free.

"I could take you to Melen. I talked to Fels about this plan of moving the Xenos there. I made the same offer to the Xenos to go there, but they rather stay as they want to protect the Dungeons here. Even Wienne rejected it, but it seems she knows we could still see each other more in the Dungeons. I could go and visit you as much as I want if I were to go there without any problems with some of the higher level monsters. So….what do you say?"

Her jade colored eyes sparkled with more life than ever and hugged him tightly.

"Yes! I would love to!"

He chuckled and placed the necklace on her. She felt her body refreshed from it as she sat on the land. Then he got out of the water and dried himself off. Once putting his clothes back on, the white haired man carried her and placed the cloak on her and himself. He took a drink of a potion and felt so much energy on him. Then took one more and hoped it worked on being silent on the way.

"Hang on tightly to me, I am going to go really fast here."

She nodded and he began running. She hung onto dear life as Bell passed floor and floor, going very fast. He was able to avoid any adventures in the way, and avoided the floor bosses. Nothing is stopping them on the way.

Three hours later, in Melen…

They arrived in Melen, still carrying her as the sun was setting slowly. He stopped right about three miles from the port, north. It had a bit of vegetation, with a small hut not far off. He smirked and placed her in the lake. He then felt the effects of the potion wearing off as he panted a bit.

"Made it. Just have to do one more thing."

He then carefully took out a stone that was glowing purple. The first stone near where they could see the town on the left about a mile away. The second was about a mile behind a hut. The last stone is about two miles distant.

"Fels tells me this will make sure people forget about going to the area."

He smiled in relief as she looked at him. "Could I still see people there?"

"Of course you can, but in case you are in danger, just swim back here at all cost." He then took out one more stone he had and threw it hard as he could and it glowed.

"Finished. As you can see on that hut?" She nodded, "I can visit you as much as I can."

She was surprised he went through all this trouble for her freedom. She saw him sit next to her, with his boots off, letting his feet hit the water. She leaned over and something came over to her. She heard about showing appreciation for when they are one another. She then presses her lips with his.

This shocked him and was turning redder, but then kissed back. The mermaid giggled from the kiss and ended it.

"Fear told me about a kiss. She told me to do it to someone you care very much about. And well...I do care for you very much, Bell."

He smiled brightly and held her close as they watched the sunset.

"What do you think of the surface?"

"It is somewhat bright, but it is beautiful."

"Fels told me for you to take these potions." he showed it to her "In order for your eyesight to adjust the brightness here, and it will help with your skin to get used to the surface."

She nodded. She took one and felt a bit better.

Still holding her close, they shared another kiss on the sunset, away from anyone bothering them, away from all the troubles, all for the freedom of it.

Bell would visit her from time to time, as it will be his sanctuary to the place. He hopes that once the Xenos and everyone on the surface get along, he won't need the barriers and would be free to enjoy life.

For now though, it would be a secret to have his mermaid be with him.

For Marie, she felt free to be with her love and happiness.

The End

A/N: Well that was the story. Short? Yes, but it got to the point it needed. Now this is left open-ended for anyone that wants this story to continue. It might be fun writing about Bell and Marie, growing their relationship all while avoiding the conflict of others. I will release two more one-shots before I start writing a longer story, just needed to move my writing legs up again.

So thank you all for reading this and see you all in the next one-shot.
