There will be a short epilogue after this and we will post it later today or tomorrow. Thank you again! We will shut up now! - A and K

The council looked like a PTA meeting. At least that's what Kurt thought. Granted, there were a few that were a little older or younger, but most of them were middle aged.

From what Blaine had explained and from what he had gathered, the WCONA (Werewolf Council of North America) was a group of alphas that each had their own territories throughout the continent and met a few times a year to discuss issues and vote. This meeting wasn't all of the alphas, but many of them were in attendance. Blaine's father sat amongst them.

Tired as he was, Kurt had lost his fear somewhere around three AM. Now he was just pissed. He had been kidnapped (AGAIN,) starved, frightened, threatened, held against his will, and kept from his father. He was ready to throw a fit. He sat in a chair, front and center with his arms crossed and a frown on his face. He made sure to paste on his haughtiest glare to show he couldn't be intimidated even though he was about to collapse with exhaustion and his clothes were rumpled beyond what he felt comfortable in.

"Okay, so let's move on," a woman with curly brown hair who looked the same age as his father was saying to the group. "I believe there is a vampire-sized elephant in the room? Paul?"

At this, Blaine's father stood and nodded at the small group seated at their long table. It looked like the United Nations, but with only around ten people. Whispers started around the room as everyone openly stared at Kurt.

Paul Anderson cleared his throat and tucked his hands into his suit pants pockets casually as if he had been asked what his favorite pizza toppings were. It looked familiar and Kurt realized he recognized it as the way Blaine would stand when addressing the Warblers. He stared a hole through his back from where he was seated behind him and flanked by two huge guys. He would not make this easy on them. Let Mr. Anderson say his piece and he would rip them to shreds when it was his turn to talk.

"This young man behind me is a vampire."

Several eyes flickered over to Kurt and then back to Paul. Kurt was seething volcano as he tried to convey just how unhappy he was with the proceedings.

"He is being used by his people to try and get to me through my son. I would like to call for a trial and an investigation."

Kurt was shocked, his mouth dropping open. Sure, Mr. Anderson had hinted that he was using Blaine, but this? Did he really believe it or was he just lying to try and make Kurt look bad?

"I detained him yesterday," Paul continued, "and I have been questioning him to try and figure out his plot, but so far have been unsuccessful. With the council's power, I would like to formally open an investigation."

"Excuse me," said the woman again. "But first of all, how old is this boy? Surely it can't be legal what you're doing."

Kurt smiled at that. Maybe all these werewolves weren't completely terrible.

"You don't understand," Paul beseeched them. "My son is supposed to be picking a mate and this, this, abomination is trying to seduce him into dangerous things!"

The woman rolled her eyes at him. Kurt bit back a smirk. Maybe Mr. Anderson wasn't as influential as he liked to pretend.

"Paul, as your longtime friend, I can appreciate the challenges of parenting a teenage boy, especially when you're raising an alpha alone. My son Tristan isn't the easiest boy to deal with. But as a council member, the way you're handling this situation isn't right. This is not how we do things." Her statement was met with murmurs of agreement from the other council members and a few disapproving ones. Blaine's dad licked his lips, his confidence flickering for the first time that day.

"Catherine-" Paul began, but the doors bursting open in the back of the room caused everyone's heads to swivel.

Kurt was stunned as Elliott strode in followed by all his new vampire friends and something that felt like hope unfurled in his chest.

"Esteemed members of the council," Elliott greeted Catherine and the others with a nod. He wasn't smiling and it was a little disturbing. "Mr. Hummel." Another nod to him this time. "Mr. Anderson." Yet another nod, but also a sneer. He slapped a briefcase down on and empty table next to Kurt and clicked it open. "I would like to put in a formal complaint about how a member of our community is being treated, being that he is a minor—" he directed this part at Mr. Anderson who winced. "—and done absolutely nothing wrong!" Elliott produced several neatly labeled folders and began pulling out form after carefully filled out form and handed them to Layla. She in turn marched over the their desks and smacked them down in front of each council member.

Elliott waited for her to finish before continuing. He stood beside Kurt with his hands clasped behind his back. "The disrespectful treatment of my people cannot stand. We have done our paperwork and kept our people in line and you continue to abuse us, but no more!"

Commotion broke out all over the place and Kurt put his face in his hands. This couldn't be good. Sure, he liked being the center of attention, but he never wanted this. Truthfully, he was panicking just a little.

"This is getting out of hand!" Paul overtopped everyone else with his roar. "Now, let's all calm down, the vampires need to leave so this werewolf council meeting can continue, and my grievances can be aired—"

Elliott scoffed. "Your grievances. Says the man who kidnapped a child."

"I'm not a child!" Kurt protested, but it was swallowed up by everyone yelling again.

"This is ridiculous—" Paul was interrupted once again by the doors crashing open.

"STOOOOOOPPPPPP!" Blaine yelled as he ran into the room, disheveled and slightly out of breath. Wes, Nick, Jeff, and David followed him closely. "Don't fight!!! Where's Kurt so I can Pocahontas throw myself on him?"

Kurt couldn't help but grin. "Oh my god..." He shook his head, but he couldn't deny how much of a relief it was to see him. His arms ached to hold him and just breathe Blaine in.

Worry pulled Blaine's mouth into a tight line until he caught sight of Kurt and his eyes instantly lit up.

"Kurt!" Then he was wrapping himself around the taller boy who had stood when Blaine ran towards him. Blaine buried his face into Kurt's chest and he felt wet warmth soaking into his shirt. Kurt hugged Blaine to him and wrapped his arms tightly around the shorter boy.

"Blaine, are you crying?"

"I was worried," he sniffed and pulled back so Kurt could see his shining eyes and tried not to kiss the sadness from his face. "I just knew they were going to hurt you."

"Blaine! Get away from him!" Paul growled, his eyes nearly bugging out of his head.

Blaine wheeled on his father and pushed Kurt behind him even though the effect was wasted since Kurt was taller, but it made the vampire smile fondly anyway. "How dare you! You kidnapped my boyfriend and lied to me about it!" He glared daggers at his father who had the decency to look sheepish.

"I was just trying to keep you safe," he insisted.

Blaine shook his head. "I am safe with Kurt! He loves me and guess what? I love him too!"

Everyone in the room gasped except for Kurt who grasped Blaine's hand and stepped up beside him.

"Dad," he pleaded. "We have to change our ways! I don't want bloodshed between us and them! I won't let you kill Kurt!"

"Um, 'scuse me." Elliott stepped in at this moment. "Uh, yeah hi. No one was planning on hurting anyone. The only attack we will be making is a legal one that involves lots of neatly written paper work."

"Oooh! Can I see?" David asked.

Elliott smiled at him warily. "Um, yeah. Sure." He allowed David to look at it and he made a noise of happiness.

"This is our list of grievances and things we want fixed or we will be forced to sue for damages." Elliott indicated the papers and the council read them over in silence. "All we want is peace and no more discrimination."

"Wow." Blaine had taken Kurt's hand again. "So, no one's going to actually fight?"

Everyone raised their eyebrows or rolled their eyes at Blaine's statement.

"But you said it would be a blood bath?"

"Yeah, a legal one."

"Well, this is not as exciting as I thought it would be." Jeff shrugged. Nick nodded in agreement.

"All this paperwork? Way more brutal than an actual brawl," Wes said in mild disgust.

"I don't mind doing paperwork," David added. "I get to use all my supplies and it just makes sense. It soothes me."

Kurt stepped forward, ignoring how much his legs and back ached. "Look, I think it's fair to hear them out." He indicated the other vampires. "I've been spending time with these guys and the worst crime they would commit would be to rob an office supply store or something. They legitimately only want peace and to stop feeling bullied all the time." He turned to Blaine's father. "As I have said over and over again, I am in love with your son. I know you don't approve, but that's the truth. There is no conspiracy to dethrone you or whatever it is you think I'm trying to do. I'm just a boy in love with another boy. One of us happens to be a vampire and the other just happens to be a werewolf."

David wiped a tear from his eye. "Dude, that was beautiful."

Jeff hugged Nick close and even the usually stoic boy had a dopey grin on his face. Wes was smiling fondly at the two. It seemed like the council had accepted his declaration as well and conceded.

Blaine took Kurt's hands in his own and stared at him lovingly. "Dad, I want to be able to date Kurt. He's the one I choose."

"No! No, no, a hundred times no!" Mr. Anderson ranted as he slammed a fist down on his desk. "That is too much! I understand you are struggling with this, but absolutely not. Now, you have a great list of suitors that Wes compiled and David spent a lot of time color coding, so pick one of them!"

Wes patted David's shoulder and he sniffed.

"Listen, as much as I hate to admit it," Elliott said. "I have to agree with Paul. It's just not a smart decision."

Kurt frowned at that and Blaine stamped his foot. "No! I want Kurt. He's amazing and beautiful and my best friend. I can't imagine anyone else by my side. Our coupling and eventual union will ensure peace between the two communities."

At the words, coupling and eventual union, Kurt started to sweat a little. Yes, he loved Blaine and could see himself marrying him eventually, but this was a bit much. They were still in high school after all.

Paul looked like he was seconds away from a conniption fit. "Blaine," he said too quietly. "You are going to stop this foolishness and—"

The doors opened again and he threw up his hands. "Who is it now?"

When Kurt caught sight of the man storming into the room, he lit up like a Christmas tree and completely forgot his exhaustion. "Dad!"

Everyone's eyes fell on Burt Hummel, who looked pretty pissed off. His mouth was a firm line and storms were brewing behind his eyes as he scanned the crowd. He turned to his son and his face softened.

"Are you okay, son?"

Kurt nodded. "I'm fine. Just tired."

"Mr. Hummel," started one of the council members, but he held up and hand and his jaw was set again.

"All of you fools have had your turn. Now it's my turn to talk and everyone else needs to shut up. I know how many fangs you all have between all of you and I don't care. I ain't scared." All the people in the room were stunned into silence. Burt turned to Blaine and then leveled a glare at Paul. "Now, first of all my son is sixteen and is not getting married any time soon, so jot that down. Secondly, I am sick and tired of getting surveys, censuses, and emails getting sent to me from BOTH the Lima Coven and The Anderson Pack! Leave me and my son the hell alone!"

Both the werewolves and the vampires glanced at each other sheepishly.

"Ahem," Elliott cleared his throat. "On behalf of the Lima Coven, we apologize for any inconvenience. Also, sorry for sending that ten page questionnaire and the automated phone calls."

Burt nodded, arms still folded.

"The Werewolf Council of North America also extends their sincerest apologies," the one named Catherine added. "We were not aware of these particular issues and that is a failure on our part. Rest assured we will be working to correct this situation." She looked over to Elliott. "All of them."

Elliott smiled and bobbed his head in gratitude. Burt wasn't quite finished. He wheeled back on Paul. "Now, what are we going to do about you kidnapping my son and holding him against his will?"

"Well, I— I thought…"

Burt glared at him, stone faced as he sputtered.

"Maybe you should promise him protection and apologize," Blaine said as he snuggled back into Kurt's side. Paul shot Blaine a look and then turned calmly back to Burt.

"As my son said, I am sorry. I wasn't thinking about anything other than protecting my people. I agree that they will have protection. They are going to need it." He turned to Kurt and Blaine, a somber frown taking over his face. "I am just going to tell you you will never be fully accepted as a couple. I will give my blessing, but I can't change people's minds."

Blaine's smile slipped at that and Kurt nodded. "We know," he replied. "We just want a chance to prove them wrong."

Burt's shoulders relaxed at this development. "Forgive me if your word doesn't mean a whole lot to me yet," he said to Paul who winced. "I'll be keeping an eye on you." He directed his attention to Blaine. "Now, what in the world gave you the idea that you could marry my son?"

Blaine paled. "I… I… Did I say that?"

Burt nodded. "Look, I just want everyone to go away and leave us alone. Maybe letting you join the coven was a mistake." He pulled off his cap and rubbed his head. "Maybe we should go home and rethink everything…"

"No!" Kurt shouted. Everyone turned to look at him. He set his jaw and put an arm around Blaine's shoulders. "I want to be with Blaine. And I want to stay in the coven. I'm definitely not ready to get MARRIED—" he glanced sideways at Blaine who suddenly found the floor very interesting. "But for the present time, I want to be with him. Please, Dad."

Scrubbing at his head harder, Burt sighed and plopped his hat back on. "You're sure?"

Kurt shared a smile with Blaine. "Absolutely."

"All right. You know I let you decide things for yourself. However," here he turned back to the Andersons, "if I have more trouble from either of you, I will be pressing charges and taking my son far away."

Blaine and his father nodded. "Of course. I only want the best for Kurt." Blaine gave Burt his most winning smile. The mechanic had to admit the boy was charming, if a little annoying. But Kurt was his own person and had a lot of sense. It was out of his hands.

"Blaine! Kurt!" Wes, David, Jeff, and Nick called to them from across the room and Kurt gave his father a questioning look.

"Go ahead," he grumbled and they wasted no time hurrying over to their friends.

"Bro, you okay?" Jeff asked a very tired-looking Kurt. "We were worried sick!"

"Aww, that's sweet. I'm fine."

"I'm really glad you're okay too," David said as he hugged Kurt. "Blaine was just beside himself."

"Yeah, he was ready to go to war," Nick added. He ruffled Blaine's hair, earning a growl of disapproval. "I was proud of him."

"I'm very upset with my father." Blaine eyed the current alpha with disdain. "I don't even know if I want to be alpha anymore."

"Of course you do." Kurt stepped closer to Blaine and cupped his face in his hands. "And I want you to be alpha. You're just hurt and betrayed right now, but it's going to be okay. All that matters is that we are together." They kissed deeply.

David and Jeff hugged each other and made an embarrassing squealing noise while Nick just shook his head fondly.

A throat cleared and the kissing boys broke apart as Wes stepped forward.

"Er, so I feel like I owe you both an apology." He was wringing his hands. "I got so caught up in what our duty was that I forgot to consider my friendships and what would be best for them. I truly thought I was doing the right thing and I'm sorry. I should have been a better friend. To both of you."

Kurt smiled and nodded at Wes. "I accept your apology. I know Blaine kind of needs constant supervision—"

"Hey!"

"—And you were only trying to protect him. I'm not mad."

"I'm a little mad," Blaine sniffed. "Just kidding. Ow!"

Wes ignored Blaine's cry after he swatted him. "I appreciate that, Kurt. I will use all my skills to help you both from now on." He clasped David's shoulder. "We need to go get busy. We have a lot of work to do with this in addition to Warbler stuff."

David nodded and waved as he left with Wes.

"Us too," Jeff said as he slung and arm around Nick's shoulders. "We need some alone time like yesterday."

Nick looked pleased at this and smiled adoringly at Jeff. "Yeah, I just don't really feel like watching you guys make out. Later." They left, walking close together.

"We have some really great friends." Blaine rested his head on Kurt's shoulder and tried to ignore all the staring and whispering around them.

"Yes we do." Kurt closed his eyes and swayed a little.

Blaine turned to him, concern creasing his forehead. "Kurt? Are you okay?" He led his boyfriend to a chair and helped him sit down. Kurt allowed himself to be led and rubbed his eyes with his thumb and finger.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just crashing from all the stress I guess."

Blaine pulled Kurt to him and let him rest against his shoulder. "Well, it's okay now. Just rest now." He obliged and Blaine massaged Kurt's hands as he closed his eyes. "I can't believe it's over now," Blaine said.

Kurt inhaled deeply and let it out slowly. "Oh, I doubt that. I feel like our troubles are just beginning. There's no one else I'd rather go through this with than you though."

"Probably. Just let me live in my fantasy for a minute."

They both smiled and relaxed against each other.

Paul watched the way Blaine took care of Kurt and spoke to him so intimately across the room. His stomach turned at the way some of the council were looking at the two boys. Burt still stood next to him with arms crossed as he watched their sons.

"You know this isn't a good idea," he grumbled at the mechanic.

Burt shrugged, fixated on how Blaine was calming his son down. "You would be the expert on bad ideas."

Paul rolled his eyes and turned to Burt. "I apologized! Can we let it go?"

"I'm sorry, but I don't just let it go when someone tries to hurt my son. I wasn't joking. I'll be watching you very closely."

"And I'm trying to protect my son!" Paul said, exasperated. "This is not how it's supposed to go at all. I truthfully have no idea where things are going to go from here, but I can only hope this doesn't damage Blaine's chances."

"I don't like you, but for Blaine's sake I'm going to give you advice because he's a good kid despite having a father like you," Burt said quietly, finally looking at Paul. "I get this whole alpha thing is a big deal for you people, but please consider thinking of him as your child first instead of his career. Sounds like he could use a father right now instead of a boss. Maybe think of that."

"I care about Blaine," Paul ground out. "I'm just trying to think of his future! I have nothing against Kurt! If he was a human or a werewolf, this wouldn't be an issue. You think our people will accept him? Never. They are just setting themselves up for heartbreak."

Burt glanced over to the boys and then back to Paul. "They are just teenagers. Let them date. Trust me, I don't want Kurt to be a part of your family, but we have to let them make their own decisions. Hopefully they will break up in a week. Until then, let's just try to guide them as best we can."

Before Paul could respond, Elliott sidled up in between them. "For the record, I agree with Mr. Hummel."

Paul rolled his eyes. "Of course you do."

Elliott ignored him. "Know that I will be keeping my eye on them as well. In fact, in the spirit of fostering good relations, Blaine may attend the coven meetings with Kurt. We have nothing to hide."

"I don't think so," Paul responded. He eyed Elliott disdainfully.

"He's gonna be your next leader, so don't you think it would be beneficial for him to understand the vampires?" Burt asked, his voice laced with faux sweetness. "I think it's a fantastic idea!"

"They will just be spending more time together!" Paul looked like he was close to the breaking point again. "I thought we agreed they needed to break up?"

"Kurt and Blaine are smart enough to figure out we are trying to keep them apart. We just play it cool and let them hang out all the time. They will probably get sick of each other in no time."

"Genius!" Elliott said, grinning brightly. "And devious! I see where Kurt gets it."

"I'm still watching you too," Burt said, his eyes narrowed. "Don't get comfy. I'm letting you be near my son because he needs to be with other vampires. Make no mistake, I will destroy you if anything happens to him."

Elliott gulped. "His safety is our top priority."

"Good. See that it is."

"It's settled then," Paul said, resigned. "We allow this to continue and hope they see reason eventually."

"Exactly."

Paul opened his mouth to say something else when the other council members called him over from where they were huddled in the corner.

"We need to decide what to do about your blatant disregard for the law," Catherine said firmly.

Paul shuffled off to meet his doom…

A few days later…

"Hello and welcome one again!" Elliott stood at the front of the circle, hands clasped together. "We are so pleased to have a new face in our midst! Everyone, please welcome Blaine Anderson, future alpha of the Northern Territory of Ohio and boyfriend of our very own Kurt Hummel!"

There was a smattering of applause, but most of the vampires gathered looked less than enthusiastic to have a werewolf in their space. Kurt himself wasn't excited about it, but Elliott, his father, and Blaine's dad all insisted that he come to a few. They said it would be good for everyone. He just wanted to have a safe place to talk about vampire things with people who could relate and he knew the others did too, so he wanted to make them comfortable.

"I'm so happy to be here! I hope to learn a lot!"

Blaine was ecstatic, only thinking about how coming to these meetings meant more time with his boyfriend. Additionally, understanding the vampires would only make him a better leader. He smiled at all the vampires present, varying degrees of welcome. He happily munched on a cookie provided and took in his surroundings.

"Kurt," he whispered loudly.

"What?"

"Am I drinking blood?"

"That's fruit punch, Blaine."

"Oh. Gotcha. Thought you had turned me for a second there because this is tasty." He winked at Kurt who sighed deeply.

"Okay," Elliott said as he clapped his hands together. "I would like to open the floor to questions you might have for Mr. Anderson before we dive into our group activity for the day."

Pretty much every hand shot up. Blaine's eyes widened as he stuffed the rest of the cookie in his mouth.

"Does anyone have any questions that aren't 'What do you look like as a wolf?'"

About half the hands went down. Elliott nodded.

"Right. Let's begin. Marco?"

The named vampire stood up and held his phone screen for all to see. He had a picture of a snarling werewolf from some movie displayed on the screen. Marco licked his lips and glanced from his phone to a confused looking Blaine.

"Uh, well, I guess it's more of a statement, but I thought werewolves were supposed to look like this. So why don't you?"

Blaine blinked at him. Kurt put his head in his hands.

"Why don't I look like the picture?"

Marco nodded.

"Um, because that's not what we look like. Just like vampires look like anyone else, so do werewolves."

"Thank you, Blaine," Elliott said brightly. "Who's next?"

Jordan raised his hand. "My question is more about, um, like anatomy."

Kurt's eyebrow shot to his hairline. "Oh no."

"Dude, how do you pee? Like do you pee like a normal person or do you hike your leg up like a dog?"

There was an awkward silence that usually followed when Jordan spoke.

"Jordan, I don't think Blaine would want to answer something that personal—"

"No. It's okay." Blaine laughed a little and rubbed the back of his neck. "Kurt actually asked me that too. Sorry." He smiled apologetically at his boyfriend. "If I'm a person, I pee normally. If I'm a wolf, I do lift my leg."

There were murmurs around the room and then Layla's hand shot up.

"So, since we are talking about things you do when you are human versus when you're a wolf, when you and Kurt are feeling… amorous—"

"Okaaaaay!" Elliott clapped his hands and saved the blushing boys from answering. "Let's move on to the activity! Today we have murder mystery bingo! Everyone, grab your partners and a board and let's see who done it!"

As they were leaving a few hours later, Kurt led Blaine outside where Jeff and Nick were. They had been allowed to wait outside for him, but the vampire leaders thought one werewolf in their meeting was plenty. Blaine waved to one of the vampires he had made friends with. Kurt smiled a little at how well received he had been after the game. His dramatic reactions to the "murder" and his charming personality had won over several of the vampires. Although some remained cold and skeptical, how well it had gone made Kurt feel hopeful for the future. He grabbed Blaine's hand and the boy smiled warmly at him.

"That went well I think. I actually had fun! Did you?"

"I actually did," Kurt replied as they approached the other two. "Some of the group activities are kind of lame, but that one was pretty entertaining. Especially when you found the murder's accomplice and ran around the room questioning people."

Blaine smirked. "Well, I got kind of into it…"

"So I take it the meeting went well?" Jeff asked as the other two made it to where they were sitting at a little cafe's outdoor table. They stood up and threw their trash away before walking to the car.

"For sure. They love me," Blaine stated proudly and then proceeded to trip off the curb. Kurt caught him and he smiled gratefully.

"They really did," Kurt added. "Hopefully everyone will like me too when we do events for Blaine's people."

Blaine kissed Kurt reassuringly on his cheek. "They are going to love you. It's impossible not to."

Kurt smiled back at him and allowed Nick to open the car door for them. "You better be careful, Kurt," he said. "Once they hear how much sense and grace you have, they will want you as alpha instead of Blaine."

Jeff snorted at that and Nick shut the back door before Blaine could yell at him. He flicked Nick's ear as he climbed into the front seat.

"You're an ass, Duval, and you aren't funny."

"Jeff laughed."

"Jeff's stupid too."

"You are amazing," Kurt told Blaine as he pulled his face towards him. "No one would ever be able to replace you."

Blaine sniffed. "Thank you."

"Not to change the subject, but did they figure out what to do with your dad?"

Blaine sighed and let his head fall back on the head rest. "He has to make a public apology to you and all the vampires, encourage his people to be more accepting of the vampires, and they are looking into better education about each other. The stuff we have on both sides is very outdated and honestly kind of rude. He was operating under the assumption that you were threatening him though, so he got off pretty easy. I think everyone just wants peace, so they are willing to let stuff go."

Kurt rubbed Blaine's shoulder in a comforting way. "And how do you feel about that?"

Blaine studied the roof of the car for a few quiet moments and considered. "I don't know. I love my dad and I know he meant well, but I'm still upset with him. I mean, he lied to me. That kills me. But worst of all, he could have hurt Kurt."

Kurt looked down at his lap. Things hadn't been the easiest with Paul. Not only was he certain he hated him, he knew his own father hated Paul in turn and was adamant Kurt not go anywhere near him. It was kind of difficult to navigate the waters of werewolf politics when you couldn't even talk to their leader.

"That was a shitty move," Jeff said as he drove them back to Dalton. "Your dad is supposed to trust you."

"I'm not making excuses for him, but I know my dad would do anything to keep me safe too, even if that meant kidnapping you," Kurt said to Blaine.

Blaine rolled his head towards Kurt. "Yeah but would your dad do something like that in the first place?"

"True." Kurt shrugged.

The tick of the turn signal was all that could be heard for awhile. Kurt slid his hand into Blaine's.

"Will you forgive him?" he asked.

"I want to say yes," Blaine replied. "I'm a forgiving person. Does he deserve forgiveness after what he did? Obviously he's going to apologize to Kurt, but as for me? He hasn't apologized to me yet. Not really. We have barely even spoken since. I guess I won't know until we talk. Does that make me a bad son?"

"No. It makes you an honest son."

Kurt accepted the kiss Blaine placed gently on his lips and then everyone drifted off into their own thoughts. Kurt's settled on his last day at McKinley. How cornered and helpless he felt. Then a mouth was forced on his and he lost control. He attacked Karofsky, but it wasn't just his face he saw; he saw everyone that had ever bullied him, belittled him, and made him feel disgusting. He saw the face of the monster that made him. Then there was blood and Karofsky was in a puddle of it and Kurt was being shook from his cloudy head to be told to go to Mr. Figgins office.

No one pushed him into lockers or threw him into dumpsters as he trudged down the hall covered in Karofsky's blood.

But was it fair that he took it out on the other boy? He had kissed him. Kurt had never told anyone this, but obviously Karofsky was dealing with his own demons. How he had been going about that wasn't right, but did he deserve what Kurt had done to him? He recalled the look of shock and disappointment on his father's face and wondered if he too deserved forgiveness.
