Clouds are quiet, even as they block the sun, gentle and slow moving, celestial blankets that somehow block the sun. Zeno is like sunshine, bottled up, and then shared with everyone, warmth that is personal and approachable.
And yet once or maybe more times, less visible ones, less seen anyway. Zeno was storm clouds, fog eating away at joy in such huge waves, sunshine blotted out without even a chance to shine.
But this is less consuming. Zeno's quiet and lost in thought; clouds slowly taking over.
Yona's never seen him like this before, no ready smiles, nothing. His eyes are even cloudy in thought.
Zeno is as quiet as Shin-Ah right now, mind not here with Yona and the others but lost somewhere in the past.
"Zeno?" Yona feels as if she is interrupting something important as if she shouldn't be speaking to him at the moment.
"Oh." Zeno blinks, daze floating away, clouds moving away from the sun.
"Is everything okay?" Yona tentatively sat down beside Zeno.
"Y-Yeah?" Zeno took a deep breath, put on a slightly wobbly smile, and let any hint of cloudiness fade away.
Yona couldn't find any words that didn't feel too heavy to ask her friend about this.
"I miss her." His smile had gotten steadier.
"Your wife?" Yona asked nervously, worried that somehow she'd impose on the memory by being here too.
"Yeah, Kaya." Zeno's eyes seemed to light back up at even just the mention of her. The love there was incredible, the sunshine-y warmth of the memory.
Yona found herself smiling too, though she only knew a couple of things about Zeno's wife, that Zeno had married her, and now, that her name was Kaya.
