The same boring straight black metal that Baulder had gotten used to stared back at him as he waited as patiently, as he could muster for this particular occasion.

After about five or so mintues of waiting did the familiar clicks of heavy metal boots brought his attention back. Looking straight ahead and straighting out like a board while putting his right fist across his entire chest. He stayed silent not daring to speak a word in her presence unless spoken too.

Their was total of five individual slightly taller than him by a foot at most, which was substantial to any on looker as Baluder himself was easily twelve feet tall from his last check and estimate.

The largest of the group, easily reaching fifteen feet. Coming to him spoke first, which he recognized as the queen. Her metal face which held glowing orange bits signifying eyes, and a mouth. They all wore the same black armor including him, all with purple accents going up their sides, a large x going over their pectoral plates, and more lines lining the side of their v shaped visor that jutted out a little bit for everyone except him since he was still part human. The rest of the group all being pure blood ChangeWings of the ChangeWing empire. The queen was the only one that didn't have purple marks and instead had a red helm that signified her as the queen was well the queen. The rest of us being apart of the elite/royale guard, a rareer and tougher breed of ChnageWing solider along with access to substantially better equipment.

"at ease Baulder, their is no need for strict formalities for this occasion"

"Too not show the queen respect even if she is going to kick me off the ship would be fool hearty ."

"hmmmmm, yes I suppose you are right. I can assume you already known the details of this assignment."

Giving a nod the queen continued.

We've already uploaded a basic map of the entire continent that you will be transported, and have removed most of the A.Is within you're suit. Now the most important part of this assignment is the attitude adjustment since you are in line to be an heir we need you to have proper emotions, and edict when dealing with other species, but still having that necessary straightforward attitude aswell. Also before I forget, we will be disabling all access to void magic other than the initial teleport in, you will be making a halo jump as well, good luck.

The Queen and the three next to her giving a salute before their hands came to rest, a blsck portal opening up behind him, Baulder not wasting anytime would turn on his heel before sprinting at the open protal, his body seemingly getting smaller and smaller before he was about the size of six feet which didn't really affect his armor or him to negatively other than his skin being a little itchy.

Before whoosh he dove into the portal which looked nearly identical to a black hole.

Then he was falling it took him a second to get over the slight jarring that teleporting from orbit did to people though he had done a jump like this before though this time he didn't have thrusters just his the standard issue plan B bracer that came with most standard suits of armor.

Baulder waited and waited and waited his arms out stretched to help slow his decent so he wouldn't be at full velocity when he hit the ground. Just watching the altitude digital number that shown up on his hud slowly tick down before it hit a certain number a face shield coming over the visor to protect the visor from ant damages. as he felt hinself relax as his suit automatically maoved and activated the protective gel layer to help absorb the shock of the fall. The final step being tbat the suit would curl up into a ball formation keeping it feet first where most of the shock absorbers are and feeling the spinal swction of the armor stiffen so to protect that aswell.

Then all he felt was the crash, now he knee he crashed into something has the armor automatically searches for the nearest location that helps cushion the fall, he just hoped it wasnt some poor souls house.

After about a mintue of waiting and letting the suit cool off and the gel layer degrade he could finally move again, feeling the spine of his armor unlock and the face plate unhnige and flow back up over his helmet. After a few seconds of his visor adjusting it self so he could see through the thick layer of dust he kicked up. He realized that he hadn't only just hit a building but one made out of stone, he was honestly curious why it would pick a stone building over the ground but he wasn't one to question his armors choices as it normally made the best calls in these situations.

Though fortunately most of the building still remained in tact, and thats when he saw it or her? something in the shape of a human with pale skin, bright red hair and eyes. that was unnatrual for most humans he saw albeit he dosen't get to see his own kind very often. They were staggering likely very confused as to what happened though they seemed to finally get their barings and stand ready and thats when they saw him, and a starring contest began.

It didn't last long though as they quickly charged him a wicked looking sword in their hand, reaching Baluder no time at all easily passing through all the rubble and crossing twenty feet in under three seocnds quite impressive for a human to do. But he was very unimpressed by their speed with the sword they held in their hands taking a swing from the left at him.

Which he simply sidestep but the kept following up which was honesty impressive swordsmanship. They were doing their damned hardest not to let him recover though not like it mattered to him he saw through their attacks and quite outmatched them in speed. though this cockyness cost him as they finally managed to land a blow on him. He watched frustrated as their sword scrapped along the side of his visor barely scratching it but this still did quite a blow to his pride so he replied in kind.

Not even letting them get their sword out of reach his right hand shot upwards and grabbed their blade holding it in an iron grip. hsi armors servos holding it in place as the one at the end of the blade tryed to wrench it from his graps with little affect. thats when he heard their voice which was very ghost like.

"To overpower a shade in not only speed but strength as well, what hell did you crawl out of."

Not bothering to reply Baulder twisted his hand so the blade quite literally snapped in half a satisfying tear of metal sounding out. not letting them regain their composure, his left hand balled into a fist as it shot out and connected with their head, their quite literally exploding into tiny bits leaving nothing left. Though he found it more strange that their body just seemed to puff up inti a cloud of smoke before disappearing entirely.

Though a strange rock was left behind, being nearly as smooth as his armor and having the same shade of black it was almost hypnotic as he could somewhat even see himself in its reflection.

They were protecting a rock, although impressive for a rock it dosen't seem to hold any magical properties, maybe hmmmm. Well im sure they wont mind if I just take it then, picking it up he felt a jolt run through him giving a grunt in response to the sensation. that was not very pleasant.

Getting a good hold on it Baulders hand would bringing it over his and set it near his upper back his armor forming a couple of latches around it per his command. Making sure it was secured he would look around for the opening he came in from before looking nearly straight up identify that he had found the hole his legs would bunch up as he prepared to jump.

Nearly launching himself straight out of the hole as he jumped upwards of fifteen feet and grabbing onto the sides and pulling himself through onto the roof as he looked out over the large city, or more accurately castle. Consoling his map for a minute as soliders were pooling below, some were already making their way up. while a few were test firing a couple arrows up at him which he ignored, and after about tk mintues of getting his barings he identified that he was Uru'baen.

Going over in his made several times over he debated with himself on where to go. Before deciding that going into the deep mountains southeast from Uru'baen to lay low for a bit would be best the yime was currently six forty five pm so he could run a quater of the way before taking a break.

Making a waypoint he would close out the map and notice that ine of the soliders had managed to get on the roof with him and was currently making his way over, and the o ly thing Baluder could think was how stupid could he be. when he was withing a foot of him before the solider could even make a swing Baluder just pushed him off with his left hand, his screams echoing out as he fell down below. That makes two damn.

Not willing to dwell on it he would jump from the larger tower a roof of a building far below a massive crack forming as he landed on it. squishing an archer as he did so before beelining it for the massive wall not to far from him giving another jump butting more effort into this one collapsing the roof he was on but it allowed him to completely clear the wall of the city. before landing on the grass.

Then breaking into a jog easily reaching twenty mph which was fast compared to a human but easy for him. Though he wouldn't deny or even fake ignorance he knew that the "rock" wasn't a rock at least not anymore. He could feel shake around a little bit and an occasional squeak would come from it.

he made it about halfway from his goal before he feared for the little creatures life as he heard the acutal shell of it crack. Stopping in a small little forest like area that has a small pond which he identified as good to drink from the little creatures already drinking from it.

crouching down and bringing his teo hand back to grab the egg as it was released from its latches bringing it back over his head and setting it on the ground in front of him before taking step back but staying in a kneeled postion. Watching the egg as the crach splintered and seeing a little snout poke out a little bit every time it broke a pice of, until it eventually after a minute of it going at it it finally split the egg nearly in half. Most of that time Baulder was debating whether to help it or not though he ultimately decided not to.

He had to admit the little thing was cute as it stared up at him, and he felt a strange desire to touch it with his bare skin, and that feeling was rising higher and higher almost alarmingly him if he did feel clamned by it. before he started to reach out his hand to it, the dragon as he recognized it as or at the very least had the form of seemned to be slightly confused as he did so.

As his finger got close to it his gauntleted hand started to splinter into hexagonal shaped pieces before piling up as they slowly slid up his arm stopping right before his elbow. Baulders hand stopping right before showing the back of his hand to the dragon. Said dragon giving it a sniff and a lick then rubbing against his palm, and for the first time in a really long time Baulder felt pain and an alarming amount at that. Pulling his hand back and curly it into his armored abdomen. Before the pain slowly subsided.

"Ow that hurt, though I will say im more impressed than mad."

From what he could tell the dragon couldn't understand a thing he was saying but it did cock its head to the side similar to a puppy. Once the pain was gone did he take a look at his palm, a stange new scar adorning his flesh. that was more silver in natrue almost to the point where it looked like a tattoo.

Giving it no more thought he looked back at the little black dragon that was now exploring around the place keeping a close eye on it he would stand upright as the pieces of his armor fitted back into place Baulder keeping his hand outstretched and his fingers away from each other soo it could fit properly together without pinching him.

"I suppose were sleeping here tonight."

Picking up the little hatchling which let out a little squeak in disapproval. Ignoring it he continued onward to find a suitable tree to sleep in that could support his weight. Then he would hunt for food, and fill up on water supply to support himself for the coming days but not for him mainly for the little creature he was carrying as he started the climb into tree one handed as he held the little creature.

He felt it on multiple occasions would reach ojt with ita mind to try to feel around his but ultimately would slink back as if the barrier around his mind terrified it. Which was good since he had no indication to try and communicate with it yet.

setting it on one of the higher up branches he would drop down a quite audible thud resounding out as he hit the ground. Unfortunately as he saw it but he had to communicate with it in some way to get it stay put. So as much as he may have dreaded it he reached out with his mind which was slightly new to him but he kept his barrier firm around his mind to protect it from his memories. Sending the word stay put across the link as put up an image of the tree it was in and sending a feeling of safety to it.

The dragon seemed to at least roughly to get what he was trying to get across and sat down on the large branch before staring at him. Nodding he retracted the tentacle of the link severing the mental chat they had. As he made his way deeper into the forest. It didn't take him even a mintue to get back to the little pond that he saw earlier.

Deciding to fill up on water first he knelt by the edge of the water as a tube extended from his back it being white in color before setting it into the water as it started to do its thing, as he waited for it to fill up his right hand went to his shoulder armor which held a holster with a sizable knife in it. Pulling it out the entire thing was pitch black the only coloring being purple which was on the grip for his fingers. bringing it up to eye level the unreflective surface stared back at him, the knife was in near prime condition other than a bit of dust that was on it from the fall. The balde itself was impossibly sharp the serrrated edge near the bottom helped in the overall fierce look it gave off. Though that wasn't the scariest part about the blade it was the hidden fuction within that allowed it to temporally go into a plasma mode making it one of if not the strongest knife in the entire universe.

Out of the corner of Baulders eye he saw the tube retract back into its slot, standing up and stretching out his back a little he would switch to thermals before identify a sizable deer herd through the tree line. Not wanting to waste time with the whole regular hunting an stalking then ambushing way he would just start full on sprinting at them. Which unlike most creatures his footsteps were nearly dead silently. allowing him even though he was near a full blown sprint to still remain in relative stealth, and before the deer herd even knew it he was on one of the does his fist going through its abdomen as he lifted into the air, being careful not to pulverize it in one go which is fairly hard to do with his armor. The deer died on impact though so no need for him to worry about it suffering.

The other deer had already bolted off as released his fist from the deer, grabbing it by its legs and lifting it back onto his shoulder.

Making his way back to the hatchling, he was pleasantly surprised that it was still their. Just sitting and waiting presumably for him to return.

Letting the carcass fall of his shoulder would he get to work cutting it up. Taking his knife out to do so. Said knife having little difficulty cutting through the muscle, sinew, tissue, and bone, of the deer.

Keeping the large sections and stroing them in his suits built on backpack. Though keeping the heart and liver and giving it to the small hatchling as he climbed up into the tree with it.

Taking up a spot actos to large and sturdy trunks did he finally rest his body. The Hatchling sat on his chest eating the heart he had given it. The liver nowhere to be seen most likely eaten. Of course this made and absolute mess of his chestplate blood runing all over. Though Baluder was simply happy that it was eating.

Not to long after and a few blinks he finally fell asleep, the hatchling fell asleep long ago. Not suprising him in the slightest.
