Chapter 1

Horace Slughorn watched with interest the scene unfolding before his eyes. He didn't understand why Albus hadn't invited him to speak with the time-traveling Abraxas Malfoy. However, contrary to what was thought of him, he was quite a patient wizard. He knew he would have another chance to talk to him. Besides, he could join them at any moment. At this moment, he contented himself with watching the noise of whispers that followed after the departure of the main characters of such an unusual event.

He will have time to talk to Abraxas and Hermione. He couldn't wait to give Miss Mal… Granger her broom.

Over the years of his life, he has seen many things. Things that didn't even make sense to him, even though he came from a magical family with a long tradition. But what he saw now was beyond anything he could imagine.

Draco Malfoy couldn't believe his eyes. The very appearance of his long dead grandfather was a surreal experience. Never, even in his wildest dreams, had he imagined Granger on good terms with his family.

"Good relations." - he snorted under his breath, so low that no one heard him.

It was almost an understatement. Watching his grandfather, Abraxas Malfoy, one of the Knights of Walpurgia, talk respectfully with a Muggle-born was something that should never have happened. NEVER. It contradicted everything he knew about his family.

"We'll need to find a sleeping room for the two of you." - The headmaster's comment seemed to be thrown without much thought. It wasn't possible that this old wizard did not know the implications of his words.

"I'm still not agreed for that the two of them SLEEP together. I'm not going to have step siblings." - his father interrupted his unnecessary comment. Draco thought the same thing, but he had enough dignity not to mention it. Loudly.

At these words, Granger turned almost immediately and replied with a mocking smile he had never seen on her face. - "I'm curious why are you so sure that any siblings would be stepbrothers?"

Draco couldn't help but notice that Albus Dumbledore almost choked on a lemon drop when he saw his father's reaction.

"My hair color is quite strong evidence that you didn't take part, Miss Granger, in the creation of me. With your blood, I wouldn't have the same shade of hair that my father did." - Lucius's voice was dripping with venom.

Abraxas Malfoy's huff made the Gryffindor smile. She straightened her hair, leaned back in her chair, and tossed her head back with her eyes closed. To the amazement of those gathered, her usual brown curls slowly straightened and lightened. Before anyone could react, a blonde was sitting in front of them. Platinum blonde. And when she opened her eyelids, no one could doubt that her irises were like all Malfoys. Grey. Almost silvery.

"So Lucius..." - Hermione lengthened each syllable of that name. - "What do you say now? Better don't say anything. The attribute you mentioned is due to magic, not genes. Your father considers me a sister. The magic of your family accepts me as his sister and YOU dare to imply that..."

"Don't make an effort. Contrary to what Lord Malfoy thinks, not every girl falls under Malfoy's charm. Whatever it means. It's not worth arguing with him, because his ego is so bloated that he will argue for so long that you finally decide to agree with him." - Severus Snape's words surprised Hermione. - "Besides... I don't care about your family relations. I'd like to sort things out with a new student and go back to work."

"Good thought, Severus." - Everyone who knew Minerva McGonagall knew that these words came to her with difficulty. - "I'd like to get it over with."

Many thoughts flashed through his mind. He tried to remember if Draco Malfoy had ever mentioned he had a brother. Especially one who has been disinherited. After a long moment, Blaise looked at Theo with obvious confusion in his eyes.

"What the hell is going on here? I don't recall Draco mentioning anything about having a brother."

"He has no siblings. I'm sure of that." - Nott, unperturbed by the whole situation, continued sipping his tea with milk calmly.

"How can you be so calm?" - Pansy Parkinson interrupted.

"I'm calm because I know Draco. He's not good at keeping secrets from us. I assure you that he will tell us what happens as soon as we are alone. I'm not going to waste my energy on pointless speculation."

Daphne Greengrass regarded their friend appreciatively. She had long admired his unwavering cool composure. Composure that was unique even among other teenagers raised according to the principles of Pure Blood. - "You are right. Let's wait. Did you see the reaction of Potter and Weasley?"

Blaise looked at the Gryffindor table and said with satisfaction written on his face, "I can't help but notice that Weasley's face is redder than his hair."

They discussed housing, her House sorting, Abraxas' lessons. Considering that it was an extremely unusual situation, Hermione was glad that things were going so smoothly. She was afraid that it could be otherwise. After all, meddle in time can be dangerous for the wizards who meddle in it.

"Headmaster... Finally, I would like to ask a question."

"Yes, child?" - Dumbledore turned his attention to her.

"Wouldn't it be a problem that I would like to have a day off from school today? I'd like to introduce Brax to the changes at school. Such a trip would be useful to him. After all, it isn't known how long he will stay here." - She smiled, hoping that the headmaster would accept her request.

"You can have a day off, but I doubt you'll be sightseeing." - Albus blinked back the smile of his student. - "Well, unless flying on a broomstick on the field can be called sightseeing."

Hermione was surprised. She hadn't expected this. - "Have you seen me?"

"It was hard not to see. Then run. You can take Mr. Draco Malfoy. He didn't get to meet his grandfather. It is an opportunity for him to make up for this glaring lack. If I'm right, you can get someone else. It's hard to play with three people."

"Yes, sir." - Miss Granger smiled and ran out of the office to grab Brax and look for Draco.

After the door closed, the mouths of those who stayed in it opened.

"Miss Granger is flying?" - Minerva asked. - "Why didn't she try to get on our team?"

"You would have to ask her about that. I have never seen any point in asking such a trivial question. Besides… I doubt you'd give Miss Granger the position of Mr. Harry Potter." - he snorted in response. - "Lucius, be calm. Miss Granger will look after your father. As always."

"Shit..." - Lord Malfoy, realizing one fact, forgot his manners for a moment. - "I just remembered something. My dad was on the same year with Tom Riddle. This girl was close to my father, so... How did she survive?"

"I will answer this question, however, what I say will remain between us." - Albus sighed, weigh the words that were about to come out of his mouth. - "Tom Riddle was one of Hermione Granger's best friends." - Seeing the surprised expressions of the three wizards, he quickly added, "At least in the eyes of the others. I think his distinct weakness for this girl came from trying to figure her out. I think there was no room in his mind that a Muggle-born could be that powerful. Their relationship tightened shortly after she almost killed Anton Dohołow Sr. during the duels class."

She barely caught up with him. From what she could see, Abraxas Malfoy wasn't the only Malfoy with an annoyingly long stride. - Brax ! Where are you going? she asked breathlessly as soon as she caught up with him.

"I want to eat something and then go to class." - He replied as if it was something completely obvious. She had already forgotten that this particular Malfoy was very straightforward.

"We have a day off today," she smiled at him. "I've negotiated a day off, which we'll spend re-introducing you to this castle. Dumbledore says we'll end up flying on brooms anyway. I got permission to get Draco and someone else out of the treadmill of learning. We're will have fun."

"I already know what fun you mean." - He chuckled and then smiled so that Hermione immediately realized what he was thinking.

"You may be right. Partly. Today I mean brooms. Sex wouldn't be bad either, but he'd have to like me first."

He loved it when Hermione's face was confused. - "Are you sexually active at all?" - As she blushed, he smiled to himself and thought - How can I resist the teasing here, how do I get such reactions?

"Shit! Brax!" - She hit him on the arm and then hugged him. She missed him too much to argue with him now.

To say he was concerned is like saying nothing. Harry Potter was waiting impatiently for his friend's return. He had no idea what was going on, and it was throwing him off balance. He was used to keeping secrets from Hermione. He wasn't used to Hermione keeping secrets from him.

"Harry, we have to go get her. We don't know what could happen to her in the presence of two ex-Death Eaters, a Ferret and an bis Ferret." - his friend could barely control his emotions.

"You forget that Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall are also there." - At this point he wasn't sure who he was trying to calm down. Himself or Ron.

"And you that there's an unidentified ferret-like Malfoy out there."

At this point, Neville Longbottom, sitting next to Harry, cut in. "Speaking of the Malfoys, one has just come back. Look towards the door."

Ron looked up from Harry at the door and unexpectedly said to himself - "Look what he looks like. I never expected to feel sorry for him. Bloody hell, we have to rescue Hermione."

"You sound like someone kidnapped her. From what I saw she went voluntary. Unfortunately…"

Entering the Great Hall, he didn't even notice that an unusual silence had appeared in the room with his appearance. There was one thought in his head. The fact that his grandfather accepted his feelings for Granger came as an extraordinary surprise for him. He could bet himself that the thought wouldn't leave him that soon. On the contrary, it will even intensify. She will live in close proximity to him. In Slytherin.

What happened that Hermione Granger, Gryffindor Golden Girl, was sorted to Slytherin?

In silence, he sat down and reached for a cup of tea. He was so pensive that he took no notice of his surroundings.

"Draco, what's going on?" - a not-so-gentle elbow nudge in the ribs made by one of his friends, Blaise Zabini, broke him out of his thoughts.

"I'd like to know that myself. I listened to this conversation and all I understood was that my grandfather is Granger's friend. Abraxas Malfoy is HERE and NOW because he had an accident with the Time Turner. This is the official version. However, looking at how he reacted to… Hermione, I think it might have been a deliberate action." - he sighed before the fact that he had previously overlooked hit him. - "One good thing came out of this." - a characteristic smirk appeared on his face - "Potter and Weasley just lost their bookworm. From today she will be our bookworm."

The Slytherins held back in reaction so as not to arouse the interest of the rest of the students. They knew that more details would emerge in private during the conversation.

"Is it wrong that I can't wait to see these two react?" Theo whispered. - "I think the show will start soon." he added as he noticed the entrance of Hermione Granger and the additional Malfoy out of the corner of his eye.
