I do not own anything. One-shot!
It was always in a constant state of hibernation. Having heard the plea, it had arrived on this planet. However, it found out that it was still far to early to come here. Therefore it proceeded to sleep until the 'Promised Time' had come or it was threatened with. Some creature actually did just that. An odd combination of Earth's Nature and Moon's Nature fused within a creature. It did not understand what it was saying nor did it care. However, the strange creature did attack it and so it had retaliated.
It died within seconds. If the creature was that weak then why did it come to fight it? As it was a foreign being it could not understand their 'Reasoning' nor did it have a Concept of Death since Gaia was not it's planet. But it did find the creature delicious. Or more strangely, it had strong flavor? It had landed in a place surrounded by green vegetation, therefore it made the place it's sanctuary. A place for hibernation and security. It just let it's own nature do the work, transforming the place into a lookalike of it's home planet as crystals started growing around it.
It's very own nature or system caused the Laws around it to be rewritten to transform into it's home world. It was now suicide for anyone not of it's home planet to come here. Hopefully, the creature of this planet would understand it as well and cease to come here.
Over the course of time, many were foolish enough to come here. Most of them were even more foolish by trying to provoke it. They were quite different from the first intruder. It felt that these creatures were the reason why Gaia called out to them. Why won't the creature of this world understand it's intention? Why won't they live in peace till the time of the 'Promised Day'? Why are they giving up their life trying to kill it? It, of course, retaliated back killing within seconds.
After all, it was not of this planet so it could never understand them, it supposed.
One day though, one day it raised from it's slumber when it felt something touch it's crystalline leg. Since it was not targeted with hostile intention, it could not figure out the intention of the creature. This one seemed small. Smaller than other creature that came to attack it. Maybe their youngling? It did not project hostilities so it did not care and went back to it's slumber. If it did not leave then the surrounding would kill it. It could already feel the nature of this place corroding the youngling's body from inside out, slowly crystallizing.
It raised it's head to stare at the creature who was looking at it with awe in their face. This creature was of fair complexion, who had a round shape at the top with dark night like threads growing out. It tried to see if the thread was really attached to it's round shape thing at the top.
"Ouch!!"
It heard the voice. It was quite gentle than other times when they tried to kill it. While it was musing, the youngling tried to swat away the pincer holding the thread. As it was not done with hostile intention, it did not retaliate.
"No touching a girl's hair!"
What was it talking about. Sadly, once again it was not of it's planet so on a fundamental level, it could not understand the creature. But from the gesture it could figure out a few things.
"H#.. -r"
The creature looked surprised? It's vocal was not developed as it would have liked and came out butchered. Also few millennia without speaking could do that as well. After all, there was no need for it to develop it's vocal prowess in the doomed planet. The creature started to bob it's round shape up and down as if confirming.
Just then it could hear shouting at a distance.
"Where's the Japanese bitch gone?!"
"She ran away this way, sir!"
"Also watch where you aim! She's a valuable merchandise! The client wants her mostly unharmed!"
So many intruders in one day. It could feel the youngling shiver. Was it cold or the effect of the place finally started to take effect?
" Boss... what the hell this place? "
"... Look at all these crystals... "
" Are they valuable to mine? "
"...I don't like this place, it gives me goosebumps..."
" Seems like we struck it rich! "
It looked at their direction. It could see many creature, roughly 10 to 15. It was quite large than the last time the creatures tried to attack it. However, this groups seemed to be... lacking in mysteries? Things that would tickle it at best. They all seemed to have a pointed stick like things with them. Then one of them looked at it's general direction, well mostly at the youngling who scooted behind one of it's leg.
"Boss I found her!"
"Here you were pretty face, this time I will bind both your legs and hands."
The youngling scooted even closer to it for unknown reason. It found the situation funny. The youngling found the presence of a foreign being safer than that of it's own race. How... contradictory. Just then, they all noticed that the seemingly crystal statue was looking at them with the girl behind it. They all panicked.
"What is this! Is it a statue?"
"...I don't think so. Step back, forget the girl. We need to get out of here... The legends... could it be true...?"
"What legends?"
"It was a folklore about a crystal valley within the forest. It was the homeplace of a crystal statue that protected the place. Many people went here to claim it but none came back..."
Was it talking about the 'Enforcer' and 'Executor'? It had picked up some meaning behind some words. But these two were the only one that periodically came here to be killed. Though there was one interesting presence that always kept a close eye on it. It was like the same creature that tried to attack it first. Only way more powerful. But since this place was not it's world, it was not afraid to confront the 'Infinite Source of Mana from Parallel Dimensions' creature.
Bang!
It then heard loud noise. Something impacting it's hard shell. It was not even a scratch but it was harmed. Therefore it will retaliate.
"YOU IDIOT! WHAT DID-. ..."
Faster than the eye could see, the creature that attacked it was poofed. Gone from existence that not even vestiges were left of it. The other creature looked at it in horror. The only sane one tried to stop them but they didn't. They all pointed their stick at them and fired projectiles on it.
And in the next second they were all gone from existence. Only few traces of red liquid remained in this immaculate crystal valley. The final creature looked around, then around and around before starting to laugh hysterically before fleeing. It's friends were dead but the creature just laughed? What strange creatures are they. No wonder Gaia wanted to get rid of them before it perished.
Then it looked at the youngling who was looking at it with awe. Then the creature just 'hugged' it. The same way that few creature did before it wiped them off from the planet after the battle. Did it give them hope in the moment of despair? Well no matter, it's work was to give them despair at the end anyway, therefore it let the youngling do as it pleased.
Time passed but the crystal valley remained the same as always. Not always as you could see a young girl leading the large crystal spider in excitement, jumping around the place while the spider followed slowly after her. But what was unusual was that there were strange crystal like outgrowth growing over the girls body.
It was honestly surprised that the creature... no the 'girl' lasting this long. It had almost been a month since she had been living here.
She got food from the 'rainforest' outside or so. But it could see that the crystal had somehow fused with her which was the reason she did not had to regularly feed herself. It was also bad as the crystal seem to drain the life out of her. Her body was on the verge of collapse yet she looked so... happy? Also she was talking about biology, about part of the body. Like the head from where the creature would think or the body where important things for it's body were.
Although it could not understand on a fundamental level, it could still learn a few things or so it supposed. After all Venus always did find such thing 'enlivening'. The strange one among them, as it contradicted itself like these... humans. Venus would love anyone regardless.
'The Strongest One of Mercury (?)' wanted to learn more about these humans but the only source was the girl and she was nearly gone.
It watched as the happy girl suddenly went limp. Before she could fall it caught her gently with it's arm. She looked at it with tear filled eyes.
"I had no one. Only empty home after my parents died."
It felt that the girl felt sad. It could understand a few words or so.
"Then came the debt collector who then kidnapped me to sell me. Then you came to save me. So gentle and kind."
Her eyes seemed to glaze over, her consciousness fading. It just looked at the girl.
"Our days together was short but fun. It was fun exploring around this place. It was fun becoming a teacher to you and you being a fast learner. But you won't get any awards in singing though."
The girl chuckled in melancholy.
"My only regret is that I wouldn't be able to be with my parent's grave in Fuyuki and didn't let you know the wonders of manga..."
"M@$ga?"
The girl looked upwards at it before nodding.
"Yeah, if it was manga then surely... surely... you would know... about the wonders... of... human..."
In the end, the girl perished. Died. It did not feel anything. To be frank, it felt bad that it could not 'feel'. Maybe... just maybe...
It looked at the corpse on its 'hand'. The small head of 'it', opened up and with a single gulp it consumed the body. It was the first time it did so. There was a risk of becoming 'contaminated', exposed to Gaia's concept, due to it but for the first time it did not care. It wanted to know what 'it' was sent for.
After analyzing the body, the structure of the 40 meter long crystalline spider began to change. Becoming smaller and smaller until it was smaller than it intended to. But that was all right, it would be at the age of 12 years old according to the girl.
The shell became pale in color while the head began to grow in size. After all, in it's spider form the head was way smaller than it was supposed to be. It retained it's ability to transform it's surrounding within itself. Yes, it could control the 'Marble Phantasm' but didn't as it would keep intruders away. But it incidentally caused the death of the first creature that it tolerated.
After getting the perfect ratio of body, the 'hair' was long dark blue with green tints. It's body was covered with shell that acted as clothes. It then walked out of it's territory for the first time. It did not know the direction of Fuyuki but knew someone else did. Just then the creature that always watched over it arrived, with a jewel sword in hand. He looked like a old grandpa though.
"You are thinking of something rude, aren't you? ORT or Type-Mercury?"
It tilted it's head in confusion before checking it's voice box.
"Who... you?"
The man looked surprised.
"Have you already assimilated this much? You may call me Kischur Zelretch Sweinorg, the Wizard Marshall. What is your intentions? I have observed through countless worlds but this is the first time I've ever seen you out of your home."
It saw that the creature known as Zelretch was clutching the dangerous Jewel sword a bit harder, stirring the Mana within the sword ready for battle. If it was like before then it would have taken that gesture as a sign of aggression. But now? It could understand what the creature was asking so found a way to fulfill it's objective without incident. Otherwise it would be forced to retaliate. Becoming small didn't mean it's power had decreased.
"Observe... and learn... about humanity."
The old man called Zelretch looked at it with calculating eyes. Then the calculating eyes was replaced with playful one as he stopped gathering Mana in his sword.
"Then will you come to London with me?"
It shook it's head.
"Fuyuki of Japan... and I will learn... about human culture... with Manga!"
Zelretch looked at the most dangerous creature he had the displeasure of knowing along with Cath Palug A.K.A Primate Murder, in surprise.
The existence which could bring about the destruction of mankind was going to Japan, Fuyuki of all place to read manga to know about human culture? Was he getting trolled? Had the Wizard Marshall, the vampire troll, be the one getting trolled now? The entire situation was so ludicrous that he felt that the chance of this phenomena of ORT trying to learn Japanese pop culture to be one in infinite cases.
Which brought another headache. Now it wasn't the case of ORT trying to murder them. No it was the situation of getting the right material for it to read. It was like the case of 'pure' granddaughter getting corrupted by evil book scenario, except the granddaughter had the tendency and power to destroy life on Earth. Whatever ORT reads, could paint it's view of humanity. This was seriously a headache as Zelretch massaged his head. Then he came up with a perfect-on-the-spot solution. Yeah, if it was him then he could ensure that ORT remains in good hands. Zelretch was also sure that the Marble Phantasm of ORT was shut off, meaning ORT could control it and not harm the innocent. After all, he could not feel the change in surrounding normally associated with ORT/Type-Mercury.
It was do or die situation now and the fate of the world was in his hand, Emiya Shirou. Quite literally!
Fuyuki, Japan, 2002 AD.
After cleaning up the house, Shirou could say it was time to practice his magecraft. It was not easy trying to become a 'Hero of Justice' but he had promised his father that he'd become one. He checked the fridge for ingredients for tomorrow for him, Taiga and the new addition that was Sakura Matou, Shinji's little sister. Just when he was about to go to his shed, he heard the door bell ring.
"Huh? it's so late at night? Who is it?"
He went to the front and opened the door. What greeted his sight was a 12 years old girl with a letter on her hand. She looked at him and said.
"You... Emiya Shirou?"
This is one-shot but debatable in the future.
