A super crazy story I came up with focusing on Futaro, Nino and Ichika. I hope it gives you some laughs.

Disclaimer: I don't own The Quintessential Quintuplets.

"Well, this is it... This is goodbye..."

"Must you go, Nino? I can't bear to be without you!"

"I'm sorry, Fu. It hurts me to leave you behind - but I must."

Nino stood sadly in the open door of the railroad carriage she was aboard. In a few moments, she would have to close it, for the train she was on board would be pulling out of the station. It would carry her away from the man standing before her on the platform. How her heart ached over the fact these were her last few moments with him. To think he had changed from being her irritating tutor who she hated - to being the love of her life who she adored.

"Is there nothing I can do to get you to stay?" Futaro asked desperately. "I can't live without you, Nino."

"I'm afraid not." The pink-haired girl shook her head gloomily. "Don't get any funny ideas now, Fu. Don't think you can chase this train and stop it from taking me away. I have to go."

"Well if this really is goodbye..." Futaro gazed at Nino with shining golden eyes that were filled with love and heartache. "...at least let me kiss you one last time!"

Nino gasped softly. Her eyes sparkled as they filled up with tears, her mouth hanging open over what Futaro had said. Her lips managed to curl into a smile. There was no way she could leave him behind - without giving him a final kiss.

"Okay! You've got it, Fu!"

Nino leaned out of the carriage doorway. She readied her lips to press them against those of the man she adored. Futaro smiled as he prepared to return the favour. The gap between the young lovers became smaller and smaller as they moved towards each other. They were a second away from a head-on collision, about to share one final passionate kiss...

"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!"

The voice which suddenly exploded from nearby caused the pair to stop from kissing. Their eyes were wide as they looked around the platform to see who had interrupted them. They quickly found out who the culprit was - leading to their faces going white with shock when they saw it was Ichika.

"YOU CANNOT KISS FUTARO, NINO!" The eldest quintuplet was smiling wickedly as she gazed at her tutor in an obsessive, psychopathic manner. "NOW THAT YOU ARE LEAVING HIM, SIS, I'M GOING TO HAVE HIM ALL TO MYSELF!"

Nino blinked, then frowned. She detested the idea of anyone else entering a relationship with the man she loved - even if it was one of her own sisters.

There was no way she was going to allow that to happen.

"Change of plan!" Nino said, reaching out to grab the front of Futaro's shirt. "You're coming with me!"

"Wha-" Futaro cried, his eyes filling up with shock over hearing he was being dragged along to go with Nino to her destination. "What a minute, Nino-"

Without waiting for even a second, Nino pulled Futaro up onto the carriage. She slammed the door shut - just as a loud blast of a whistle filled the air. The train began to steam out of the station, carrying the two lovers on board - and about to leave the eldest quintuplet behind.

"OH NO YOU DON'T!" Ichika began to race along the platform, chasing after the train that was taking away the man she loved. "YOU WILL NOT TAKE MY FUTARO FROM ME, NINO!"

On board the train, Futaro and Nino could see Ichika through the carriage window, an intense determined look on her face as she ran along the platform.

"Don't worry..." Nino wrapped her arm firmly around her teacher's to hold him close to her. "We'll lose her soon, Fu. It'll soon be just the two of us-"

Nino's promise was cut off by a shattering explosion as a brick was hurled through the carriage window. The pink-haired girl jumped with fright as Futaro moved protectively in front of her to shields her from the flying shards. Both watched with terrified expression as Ichika jumped through the window she had smashed. The eldest quintuplet stood in the middle of the carriage walkway, pointing towards the tutor of her and her siblings.

"GIVE ME FUTARO, NINO!" Ichika demanded in an insane tone. "NOWWWWW!"

"NEVER!"

Refusing to surrender her loved one, Nino began to race away from her sister, dragging Futaro behind her. She could hear the demented roars of her eldest sibling, as well as the startled cries of her teacher. The pink-haired girl was running as fast as she could through the train, passing hurriedly through the corridors that linked the carriages together.

As she chased after her younger sibling, Ichika kept her maniacal gaze fixed to the boy being taken from her. She hissed like a snake stalking its prey. She was going to get the man she loved from her little sister, no matter what stood in her way.

Futaro could only yelp and grunt as he was being forced to move faster than he had ever moved before. Nino dragged him through one of the characters - attracting the attention of two familiar-looking passengers who were sitting together.

"Whoa! That's the fastest I've seen Useugi move!" Yotsuba smiled. "I'll have to sign him up for the track-and-meet team!"

"He wasn't running; Nino was pulling him along..." The stoic expression that was usually on Miku's face filled with worry. "I hope Futaro's not in any trouble."

The third and forth of the Nakano Quintuplets remained in their seats, watching as Futaro was dragged out of sight. They gazed at one another to exchanged concerned looks - so neither of them noticed their oldest sister racing past them to chase after their tutor and their second eldest sibling.

Still sprinting as fast as she could to get Futaro away from Ichika, Nino darted into the dining car - where Ichika was munching away at the snacks on the food trolley.

"What's doing on?" The youngest of the Quintuplets asked when she saw her sister and her teacher. "Nino? Uesugi?"

"Perfect!" Nino grinned as soon as she saw the food trolley. "That's just what I need!"

"No!" Realising her sibling intended to take the cart filled with tasty snacks, Itsuki held firmly onto its handles with a glare. "You're not taking my beloved food!"

At that moment, Ichika entered the buffet car. Her eyes were wilder than ever as she locked them intently onto Futaro. It was clear she had gone completely off the rails.

"Come here, Teach!" she said in a calmer yet equally scary manner as she walked towards him. "I won't bite!"

Realising there was no time to argue with her youngest sister, Nino ran over to the other side of the food trolley. Ignoring the cries and protests which came from her always-eating sister, she pushed hard with all her strength. The trolley rolled forward - knocking into Itsuki to send her falling on top of it. As she rolled through the carriage on the cart, the red-haired Nakano quintuplet let off a started cry - which was joined by one from Ichika. The eldest of the sibling gasped in horror as the food trolley collided with her. Itsuki came crashing down on top of her - as did all the cakes the food trolley was carrying.

"Ha! I knew that would work!" Nino grinned triumphantly. "Piece of cake!"

With her eldest sister knocked off her feet, Nino grabbed Futaro's arm again. She didn't give him time to say anything as she ran towards the door at the end of the dining car, preparing to drag him through the corridor that led to the next carriage.

"NOOO!" Ichika cried. "MY FUTARO!"

"NOOO!" Itsuki wailed. "MY FOOD!"

Reaching the door, Nino grabbed hold of the handle with her free hand. She flung it open, about to lug her beloved tutor through it - but was stopped dead in her tracks with a yelp.

With wide eyes, Nino and Futaro saw there was no carriage for them to race into. They saw in dismay that outside the open door was the rear end of the locomotive.

They had reached the front of the train.

There was nowhere else for them to run to.

"We-" Nino stammered, unable to think clearly upon realising they had reached their limit. "We can't run any further!"

"That's right!"

The hissing voice which reached their ears was followed by a loud screech. The teacher and his student turned to see that Ichika was now back on her feet. She had never looked less human as she smirked at them in a deranged manner. Streams of thick red liquid were coated all over her. The eldest quintuplet looked as though she was covered in blood - although it was really just jelly from the cakes she had been covered in.

"Looks like I've finally put the brakes on the Nino train!"

Ichika sneered, nodding to her hand - which was gripping an emergency cord dangling above her. The carriages' wheels could be heard scraping along the rails as they were prevented from turning. In a few seconds, the train would be brought to a complete stop.

"Now surrender our tutor to me, Nino!" The eldest quintuplet stomped her feet as she made her way threateningly towards her little sister, intending to take away the man she was with. "Futaro is mine!"

"NEVER!"

Belowing out the single word again, Nino leaped backwards, dragging Futaro out through the open door behind them. Ichika's psychotic smile was instantly replaced by a shocked look as she watched her sibling flip herself and their teacher out of the carriage. They landed together on top of the coal in the steam locomotive's tender. Too focused on escaping from her sister to worry about how dirty she was getting, Nino quickly reached down to uncouple the carriages.

"NOOOO!" Ichika yelled, running quickly towards the open door - but was not quick enough as the locomotive raced away, leaving the carriages behind. They slowed down more until they finally stopped. The eldest quintuplet was now stranded in the middle of nowhere - while the man she loved was carried away from her. "FUTAROOO!"

Now that it had been separated from its carriages, the locomotive was able to travelling at full speed along the track. It had left the city far behind and was now steaming through a wide open desert. No longer was it carrying lots of passengers. Only two people were on board, gazing at each other in all their love for one another.

"Wow, Nino!" Futaro's face was filled with awe as he stared at the girl who had saved him from her possessive sister. "You were amazing!"

"What can I say?" Nino swished her pink hair as she smiled with pride at the compliment her tutor gave her. "I always have been. Expect no less from me, Fu!"

"I don't. You are absolutely perfect, Nino. That's why I could never be apart from you."

The sincere words from Futaro - which contrasted greatly from his usual pompous manner - softened Nino's expression. She gazed up adoringly at the man who had stolen her heart. She was glad she had pulled him onto the train and brought him along for the ride - even if it was to just get him away from Ichika. He was here with her now, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

"Hey, um..." Futaro stifled a snicker, raising a hand to point to the girl. "You got a bit of dirt on you..."

Nino blinked and pulled out her compact. Her blue eyes widened when she saw her cheeks were smudged with soot and coal dust. Thick black smoke poured over the two, pluming from the locomotive's stack.

"Yuck!" Nino cried, not wanting to be seen dirty - least of all by the one she loved. "Get it off, Fu!"

"What are you like?!" Futaro chuckled. "What would you do without me, Nino?!"

"Shut up!" Nino blushed as she made a face. "Without me, you'd be all on your own now! No, worse than that; you'd be in the possessive grasp of Ichika!"

"Touché!"

Futaro ran his thumb softly over Nino's face. He gently brushed away the black soot and coal dust from her red cheeks. It didn't take him long to get rid of the dirt - but that didn't stop him from stroking her features. He trailed his thumb until it was underneath her chin, lifting her gaze so he could look into her eyes.

Nino felt her heart racing as she peered up lovingly at her tutor. She was highly relishing being all alone with him. There was no Ichika chasing them to take him from her any longer. For that matter, Yotsuba and Miku were not around either. There wasn't even an engineer in the cab of the locomotive carrying them full steam ahead through the desert. It was just the two of them.

This was the perfect time to do what they had attempted to do back at the city station.

Nino raised her hands to place them onto Futaro's cheeks. She caressed them softly before pulling his face in her direction. The pair closed their eyes as they moved towards one another. They braced for the impact - as they readied themselves to kiss one another...

"Yee-haw!"

Futaro and Nino were once again interrupted as a loud voice suddenly bellowed through the air. They looked around themselves with stunned eyes - which widened when they saw who had made such a cry.

Ichika was racing alongside the runaway locomotive - on the back of a horse with a cowgirl hat on her head. A crafty smirk was on her face as she stood up on the saddle. Taking out a long rope, she looped it into a lasso, throwing it around the locomotive's smokestack to pull herself up onto the coal tender.

"Ichika!" Nino cried, horrified to see she hadn't actually succeeded to get away from her sister.

Before Futaro could do anything, Ichika grabbed only his arm firmly to prevent him from moving. She took out a pair of handcuffs, fastening one around her wrist - before putting the other on her tutor's.

"Hey!" Futaro yelled, trying to pull himself away from the eldest quintuplet - to no avail. "What are you doing, Ichika?!"

"That's Sheriff Nakano to you!" Ichika said in a Texan accent as she smiled mischievously at her tutor she had locked herself to. "You're comin' with me, deputy!"

"Stop!" Nino demanded, taking a few steps towards her sister to try to free her boyfriend from her clutches. "Ichika, don't do this!"

"Sorry, partner!" Ichika held up a hand to prevent Nino from getting any further. "I'm afraid this is the end of the line!"

Nino glared, gritting her teeth angrily at her older sibling who was trying to steal her man - before peering past them as something ahead caught her eye.

"End of the line!" she repeated.

"Yes, Ma'am!" Ichika said, doing the absolute worst cowgirl impression ever. "That sure is what I just said!"

"No - end of the line!"

The smug look of victory was erased from Ichika's face. She realised from her sister's panicked tone that something was seriously wrong. She turned away from her sister - before her face filled with horror over what she saw. Futaro let off a gasp, having also just realised what they were heading for.

The track which the locomotive was following stopped dead at the edge of a cliff. A large wooden sign was placed there. The two words painted upon it in white letters made the blood of the young tutor and his students run cold.

BRIDGE OUT

"Oh..." Ichika muttered, "...shoot."

"Uh, hey, Fu... You're a smart guy from all the studying you do..." Nino rubbed the back of her head as she laughed uneasily. "So you know how to stop a runaway train, right?"

"Nope!" Futaro shook his head. "I don't have a clue how to do that!"

"Crap..." Nino pouted.

The locomotive ploughed through the sign, shattering it to pieces and sending splintered wood flying everywhere. Its wheels left the rails as it rolled off the cliff. It began to plunge down to the canyon below, taking the three people on board with them.

Futaro, Nino and Ichika screamed as they started to fall. The terrified yells that escaped from them echoed around the valley. As Ichika felt herself being dragged down towards her doom, she realised Futaro was staying right by her side, as he was still handcuffed to her.

"At least we'll be together until the end!" Ichika shouted. "You and me, Futaro!"

"Nuh-uh!" Nino ceased her shrieking to grab onto her tutor's free hand as they fell through the air. "Futaro belongs with me!"

"But..." Ichika gaped at her little sister who was about to die alongside her, feeling her heart aching as her eyes filled up with tears. "I love Futaro!"

"Not more than me!" Nino insisted. "I love Futaro more than you, sis! And that's why we're gonna stay together - without you in the way!"

Nino gave a firm pull on her hand, breaking the chain of the handcuffs. Ichika watched with dismay as the man she loved was separated from her - before a gasp left her upon seeing that Nino had stolen her rope.

Grabbing onto her boyfriend's arm, Nino held tightly onto him. She lassoed the rope and tossed it upwards to loop it around a dead branch sticking out of the side of the cliff they were falling alongside. The ring of rope tightened around the branch to prevent Nino and Futaro from tumbling towards the valley below. The two lovers dangled together in their embrace - leaving the eldest quintuplet to keep plunging downward.

"NOOOOO!" Ichika cried, having nothing to grab onto as she fell unstoppably down away from her saved sister and tutor and towards the ravine with nothing to break her fatal fall. "NINOOOOO! FUTAROOOOO!"

Ichika shrieked and sat upright - before blinking in surprise.

The eldest of the Nakano Quintuplets found herself in her apartment. She was not falling into any canyons and was safe in an armchair instead. Bewildered, she gazed all around her in astonishment. All of her beloved sisters were asleep in their seats. Not one of them was chasing her or leaving her to die.

"Whoa! That was such a crazy dream!" Ichika rubbed her eyes and peered through the dark room. The only light was coming from the glow of the television in front of her. She could see that credits were moving slowly upwards from the bottom of the screen, indicating that the movie they had put on earlier was over. "I guess that's what I get for accepting a role in a movie where the hero has to chase a train to stop his lover from leaving."

Realieved that the horrible nightmare she had gone through was over, Ichika gazed around at her sleeping sisters. Itsuki was snoozing in her chair with a half-eaten meat bun resting on her chest. Yotsuba was slumbering on the couch, resting her head in Miku's lap. The middle quintuplet had her head back on the top of the sofa, her headphones still around her neck.

"Wow! It's usually me who falls asleep when we have a movie night!" Ichika smiled when she saw how unconcious her sisters were. "I guess this one must have been really boring. Hardly surprising - since the character I played died in the first ten minutes!"

A soft mumble came from Ichika's side, causing the smile to disappear from her face. She looked down to see that Nino was laying by her side. The second eldest quintuplet looked so peaceful and content - having no idea of what she had been through in her sole older sister's dream.

Ichika stared down at the girl who had been born after her. She was deeply shaken over thinking Nino would have let her fall to her death. It was such a relief that it had only happened in her dream, but that didn't make the idea any less scary She was well aware that the only reason she had had such a dream was because the two of them had fallen in love with the same person. Neither of them were willing to stop and let anyone stand in their way of winning Futaro's heart.

Not even their own siblings.

You really are an unstoppable train, sis, Ichika thought, running a hand softly through Nino's pink hair. There are no brakes whatsoever on you. I know full well that when it comes to your love for Futaro, you are determined to stay on track and not let anything or anyone derail you.
