"I'm not entirely sure whether this game is more fun with profilers or not," commented JJ, plopping herself next to Emily on Rossi's couch.

Garcia had somehow managed to organise all of them so they could spend a 'Team Night'. JJ suspected that the colourful woman had invited herself to Rossi's house to organise this. Not that Rossi ever minded, he enjoyed having them all over and "shoving proper food down your throats" as he normally claimed. Apparently, only Italian food was proper food. JJ wasn't going to complain, the man made excellent carbonara.

"Definitely more fun, " replied Garcia excitedly. "This way none of you can lie."

"But you can say a truth without saying the whole truth," Reid pointed out from his position on the floor, his long legs splayed out into a tripping hazard. "It's a bit unfair for us to say someone is lying when they're just holding back."

They all had things that they didn't want to elaborate on, especially with each other. They all exchanged uncertain looks.

"Eh, I say go for it," Morgan said dismissively, looking eager to get going.

"We'll just have to respect each other's boundaries," JJ added decisively with a nod.

Rossi snorted in disbelief at that pronouncement.

"When has anyone on this team done that?" he demanded.

They all exchanged amused looks. They couldn't exactly help it, most of the time. They were trained to be curious and take notice of body language and they could just read each other far too well. Casualty of the job.

"What's the forfeit for not wanting to answer a truth?" Emily asked.

"Isn't it usually that you have to do a dare?" Reid responded, confused.

Emily shrugged, "I guess but it normally leads people to 'daring' you to answer the truth."

"You can do that?"

Everyone rolled their eyes at Reid's obliviousness or naivety. Probably a mixture of both. JJ supposed he wouldn't have got many chances to play Truth or Dare growing up.

"Lose an item of clothing?" Morgan asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

"No stripping in my living room," Rossi said firmly.

"If everyone does as ask, it wouldn't happen," Morgan said matter-of-factly but looking far too eager at the possibilities.

"No," reaffirmed Hotch, leaving them no room for arguments.

"How about a shot of something alcoholic?" Rossi suggested, waving a bottle temptingly at them. "Not the good stuff, obviously, but good enough for some fun."

"This is why we come to yours," Emily told the older profiler, reaching for the bottle.

"It's going to lower our inhibitions," Reid complained.

"That's kind of the point, Pretty Boy," Morgan replied, flicking the back of his head.

Garcia clapped her hands together to grab everyone's attention before a fight broke out.

"Let's get started!" she chirped happily, beaming at them all. "Which of you lovelies wants to go first?"

"Me!" Prentiss and Morgan said in unison and mock glared at each other.

Garcia looked between the two, biting her lip.

"I'm sorry, Emily. I'm going to have to go with my delicious Chocolate Thunder," Garcia said apologetically.

"Favouritism, I tell you," she teased but nodded in acquiescence.

Morgan rubbed his hands in glee and smirked broadly at them all, immediately putting them on edge. Whose idea was it to play this again?

"Pretty Boy, truth or dare?" he announced.

Reid frowned thoughtfully at his co-worker, weighing up what would be the worst option. Then he remembered that this was Morgan.

"Truth," he replied decisively.

Morgan looked crestfallen for only a moment before perking up again. Reid started to feel apprehensive.

"Have you kept in touch with the lovely Lila Archer?" he asked mischievously.

Emily perked up at that. "The actress?" she asked.

Reid blushed violently, the red creeping down his neck as Morgan replied, "The very one."

"How does-" Emily.

"Before your time," JJ explained to her. "On a case. I'll explain later."

"Well, lover boy?" Morgan asked.

"Yes," Reid mumbled, his eyes darted to Emily and he hastily added, "But just as friends."

"Mm hmm," Morgan said disbelievingly

"She has a boyfriend," Reid insisted. "He's really nice."

"You've talked with him?" JJ asked curiously. "What's he like? He looks so reserved in the newspapers."

"He doesn't want to do anything to risk Lila's career," Red started to explain until Morgan waved at them dismissively.

"Gossip in your own time," he said, looking disappointed that he hadn't got any of his own gossip.

The two younger agents just shrugged at each other and with Reid promising JJ that he'd catch her up later, he started to deliberate who to choose for his turn.

"Truth or Dare, Rossi?" he finally decided.

Rossi's eyes narrowed at the kid, wondering what deviousness he could come up with. He couldn't help but remember the pranks Reid could pull. There was a devious glint in his eyes. But he could also ask the most awkward of questions. And this lot were nosey little shits so truth was definitely out of the question.

"Dare."

"Dare you to mix a shot if your favourite whiskey with a shot of your favourite scotch and drink it up that tree in your front yard," Reid declared.

Everyone's mouths gaped except for Rossi who immediately protested, "What? That's good stuff!"

How could he?

Reid gave him an 'exactly' look.

"Can you even climb?" Emily wondered out loud. "I've never seen you climb."

"I can but I don't want to," Rossi complained.

"What's your problem with climbing? New shoes?" Reid asked all to innocently.

Rossi's eyes narrowed at the unspoken threat. The kid never had complained about the ditch Rossi made him climb into with a busted leg to anyone.

The team exchanged confused looks, none of them knowing what that was about.

"Fine," hugged Rossi, picking himself up.

Rossi did the deed while wearing a martyred expression. It was highly amusing to see him trying to scrabble up the tree and pulling a disgusted face at the taste of his drink.

A disgruntled Rossi returned to his place shooting a glare at their youngest teammate as giggles surrounded him.

"You're evil," Rossi pronounced.

There were twigs in his jacket. Twigs.

Reid just gave him a smug smirk.

After Rossi brushed himself down, the game continued with Emily swapping clothes with Garcia (which was very disconcerting), Hotch admitting to a deep hatred of bluebells due to an unfortunate incident with Sean growing up and Morgan being dared to recite poetry.

It was Morgan's turn again and he set his sights back on Reid, wanting to make him do or admit to something ridiculous. Reid, seeing the look in his eye, shied away slightly. Thankfully or unfortunately, depending on who you asked, he was rescued by Prentiss.

"You have to ask everyone else once before repeating," Emily said briskly, much to Reid's relief.

"That wasn't a rule!"

"Common decency, Morgan. That, and the rest of us would like to take part."

With a grumbled, "Fine." Morgan turned to JJ. "Truth or Dare?" he asked with a challenging glint in his eye.

"Dare," the blonde replied confidently, tilting her chin up to meet his challenge.

"Dare you to kiss Prentiss," he said. "French kiss."

"My specialty," Prentiss said with a deadpan expression.

Hotch reluctantly passed Rossi a twenty. JJ looked at them curiously.

"It only took one lap of everyone before the kissing dares came in," Hotch explained shortly.

Rossi grinned at them, slipping the note into his pocket before explaining, "Aaron thought Morgan could restrain himself and outlast Prentiss."

Both of the mentioned agents made rude hand gestures at him which just made Rossi chuckle. They really were too predictable.

"Come on, ladies," Morgan urged.

Exchanging smirks, JJ and Emily went straight for it, receiving wolf-whistles from Morgan, Rossi and Garcia. They broke apart, both breathing heavily and gave Morgan a cheeky half-bow.

"That wasn't exactly a hardship," JJ said impishly, wiping her hand across her mouth.

"Very enjoyable," added Emily with a smirk.

Morgan wolf-whistled again as Reid looked at two of his favourite people in the world with a raised eyebrow.

"Maybe we should warn Will of a competitor," he teased.

"Challenging Morgan?" Emily said, putting her hand over her heart theatrically. "Reid, I didn't know you had it in you."

They all laughed at that as JJ turned to Hotch with a glint in her eye.

Their boss actually gulped before straightening up, jaw set.

He was ready.
