Chapter 11

As Tyrone and Matt were fast asleep, the Sandman smiled upon them as he sparkled some dust on the boys. After his work was done, he silently left the house through the roof like a specter and met the Mothman there.

"Your excellency, the boys are having sweet dreams as requested. I admit, I arrived somewhat late, but as of now, they will have no nightmares." said the Sandman.

"If only you could do the same for all the children in the world." said the Mothman.

"I'm the only Sandman in all of Oregon. I could only do as much. Traveling from point A to point B is very challenging." said the Sandman. He was a tall skinny man with a long beard, and two round glasses that he had trouble adjusting.

"What news of Rood Bridge Park?" asked the Mothman.

"As of now, things have been tense. Joshua, the captain of the royal guard is still missing, and a young Mothman has been sent away to watch over the lamb princess. And then the evil wizard Merlock awakened from his one hundred year old slumber and I had to wake up Earthio to deal with him. Other than that, everything else is fine." said the Sandman. He pulled out his glasses and started to wipe them with a small cloth.

"I see. There is way too much happening so fast." said the Mothman.

"Out of curiosity, is there something you're not telling me about your excellency?" asked the Sandman.

"I had a vision. A powerful one. In fact, it was weeks before I heard of the BogeyMan." said the Mothman.

"That title does not belong to that boy." said the Sandman, pointing a finger with a long nail at the Mothman, as if accusing him of using that name.

"I'm investigating the matter further. There is something very wrong with that boy. In fact, he actually has something to do with what I'm about to tell you. Viscount Brion is coming to Rood Bridge Park." said the Mothman.

The Sandman bit his lips and placed his hands together, massaging them tightly. "L-lord Brion? The Viscount? Are you sure?" he asked.

"I saw him. The Dark Impulse is strong with him." said the Mothman.

"Where is he? Where is Lord Brion?" asked the Sandman, almost in a panic.

"Calm down my friend. He is still in other Moth people around Oregon have been experiencing visions of the man, standing triumphantly in front of a forest on fire." said the Mothman.

"Does her majesty know of this? Does she know?" asked the Sandman.

"Yes. I've already spoken to her about this." said the Mothman.

"All these demonic creatures are coming back. What is going on? I thought the Sword Warriors would put an end to them!" cried the Sandman.

"Don't panic. Rood Bridge is a sanctuary for the good. Nature will fight back against the man. You will see." said the Mothman.

"Brion will slaughter children! He will burn the forest! That maniac must be stopped! Him and that imposter! That child who claims to be one of the Bogeyman! A fellow creature of the night! Blasphemy! Blasphemy!" cried the Sandman, waving his arms theatrically as if he were the hero of some broadway musical.

The Mothman fought the urge to chuckle. It was very funny to see how jumpy the old Sandman was. Instead he placed his hand on his shoulder.

"There is hope. And you have just given them both sweet dreams." said the Mothman.

Tyrone and Matt woke up almost at the same time and the boys silently went to the bathroom.

"I'll go first. You second." said Tyrone drowsily.

"Uh-huh." replied Matt, yawning.

He waited outside of the bathroom while Tyrone was busy. After Tyrone was done, Matt went in.

He took off his shirt and noticed that the bruises he had were almost gone. He put a hand on his arm, where the man hit him for the last time. The pain was almost gone. Hopefully.

After the boys were done eating their breakfast after a while, Tyrone looked at his phone and smiled.

"It's Saturday! That means no work today!" cried Tyrone.

"You don't work Saturdays? I thought you did." said Matt.

"Nope. Only on weekdays." said Tyrone with a sigh of relief.

"So… what now?" asked Matt.

"Well we just chill. We just sit back, watch some TV and relax for a bit." said Tyrone.

"That's it. Sounds boring." said Matt.

"Boring is safe," said Tyrone.

"Boring is still boring." said Matt.

Tyrone then eyed his pills on the counter. "Matt, could you pass me those pills for me?" asked Tyrone.

Matt turned and reached his arm out for the pills. He grabbed it, then he dropped it. Luckily, the pills were still inside their jar and Matt had to get off his butt and get the pills for Tyrone.

"What are these for?" asked Matt.

"It's for my…." Tyrone then realized that he never told Matt about his condition. He hesitated and wondered how the news would affect Matt.

"You might want to sit down for this one kid. If you're going to live here for a while, you might as well know what I'm going through." said Tyrone.

"Okay." said Matt doubtfully. He nervously sat down and Tyrone schooched his chair closer to Matt.

"I have epilepsy. Do you know what that is?" asked Tyrone.

Matt's eyes widened and he nodded. "I had a friend at school who had that," he said.

"Have you ever seen your friend have a seizure before?" asked Tyrone.

Matt nodded slowly. "I did. His body began to shake and his eyes were rolling all over. He even peed his pants." said Matt.

"Well what your friend went through is similar to what I go through, when I DON'T take my medicine." said Tyrone.

"That's awful. You have to take those?" asked Matt.

"Yes. I really need to. And you need to learn what to do when I'm having a seizure. IF I have one on one of these days." said Tyrone.

"What can I do?" asked Matt.

"When I fall to the ground or something like that, make sure you push my body to the side. I must not be face up." said Tyrone, then he continued.

"First off, don't panic and relax. Simply push my body to the side and try to lift my head with a pillow at least. Make sure my legs don't move around and just wait until my seizure ends. They last about less than two minutes. When the episode ends, you can help me up to the bathroom and I'll take care of myself. Then I can walk to bed slowly. I get a headache everytime I have a seizure, but I'll be fine in a couple of hours." said Tyrone.

"When did you have the last seizure?" asked Matt.

"About a week ago. But that was because I got careless. I didn't take my pills on time." said Tyrone.

"And you're okay now?" asked Matt.

"Yes. For now." said Tyrone. He patted Matt on the head and Matt bit his lip softly.

"Tyrone, what would happen if something happened to you?" asked Matt.

Tyrone placed his hand on Matt's shoulder and squeezed it softly.

"That won't happen. I'll be there for you. No matter what." said Tyrone.

Suddenly, there was a loud knock on the door. More like a pounding. Tyrone and Matt both jumped and Tyrone ran to the door.

"Guys? Are you there?" asked the voice of Gannon.

"Dude, they are probably not home." said Garret.

Tyrone rolled his eyes and smiled. "You guys scared me." He opened the door and the boys welcomed themselves in.

"So this is where you guys live? What a cool place!" declared Gannon.

"Behave Gannon." said Garret.

"How did you two know where I live?" asked Tyrone nervously.

"We followed you home once." replied Gannon.

Garret bumped Gannon on the side and he simply said "What?"

"Are you guys making a new video?" asked Matt excitedly, meeting the boys in the living room.

"We are about to. We want you guys to come with us tomorrow at the beach. You know, where the fat squirrels are." said Gannon.

"What for?" asked Tyrone.

"For a project we are doing. Gannon calls it his next opus." said Garret.

"Can we go Tyrone? Please?" asked Matt.

Tyrone thought for a second and folded his arms. "Okay." he said softly.

"What now?" asked Gannon.

"He said okay." said Garret.

"Okay? Great! Meet us tomorrow at the beach!" said Gannon with excitement.

"Wohoo." said Garret; almost sarcastically.

When the boys left, Tyrone clenched his teeth and forced a smile when they waved goodbye. After he closed the door he turned to Matt quickly.

"We need to take some salt with us just in case." said Tyrone.

"What for?" asked Matt.

"For all we know, the BogeyMan could be watching us. We risked too much going to school, work and meeting up at the Corn Dog, but going to the beach on a weekend just spells danger for us all." said Tyrone.

"Don't get that sense of impending doom over you. We'll be fine, as long as we have salt." said Matt, puffing out his chest.

"Why are you dead set on going to the beach anyway?" asked Tyrone.

"Gannon and Garret seem nice." said Matt.

"Yeah. Too nice. They followed me home once and I didn't even know about it. Then the surprise meet and greet at school. Something is not right." said Tyrone.

"There's nothing wrong with them." said Matt.

"I know they are nice guys, but don't you think it's odd that they are inviting us? If they have lived in Garibaldi, why are they inviting us all of a sudden?" asked Tyrone.

Matt didn't say a word. He actually agreed with Tyrone. Gannon and Garret lived in Tyrone's same town. And just now they are meeting him. The timing couldn't be more perfect. Something was up.

"Are we going to need more than salt?" asked Matt.

"I think we might. I have spare backpacks in the attic. And I think I have some Nerf guns laying around…." Tyrone was saying.
