Do you like cats?

I knew one.

He was part of a external combat

His name was quite the pun.

Chat Noir, they called him.

The opposite of prim.

A sneaky, snarky, sassy black cat.

There was a girl who fed him; like a stray he came back

Who's to say they stayed on track?

Yes, the Ladybug and the cat.

"There once was a cat on the rooftop.."

"Oh, I love kitties!" The tiny blond haired boy in front of the man squealed.

The man smiled. "Yes, I know. He was a silly kitty though. In fact, there was a Ladybug whom the cat loved with all his heart, and he used to make puns."

"What is a pun, Grandfather?"

The old man tapped his chin in Thought. "A pun is an ameowzing discovery."

"You spoke wrong!" The little boy giggled.

The man held up a finger. "Ah, but that was the pun. I put meow in amazing. For the cat. You see?"

The boy's eyes widened comically. "Wow! Can you make more puns, Grandfather?"

The man laughed, a bellow of sound. "I think that is enough puns, for tonight."

The boy looked downcast. "Aw, but please?"

The man shook his head. "That is all, Adrien."

Adrien frowned. "Okay. Can I hear more about the kitty on the roov?"

His grandfather nodded curtly. "I suppose so. What would you like to know?"

"About the cat! What was his name? Who was the Ladybug? How did he get on the roof?"

The old man chuckled. "Please calm down. I will tell you. Let's see… Ah yes. The cats name was Adrien-"

"Like me!" Adrien gasped.

"Yes, like you. His name was Adrien-, but sometimes he turned into a superhero named Chat Noir. He had a partner named Ladybug and together they battled an evil man named Hawkmoth."

"Wow." Adrien whispered in awe.

"Wow indeed." His grandfather nodded.

"Where did the cat come from?" Adrien asked in wonder

"He lived in Paris. In a very big house."

"Where the tower is?"

"Yes, Adrien. Where the Eiffel tower is." The old man replied softly.

"Have you ever been there?" Adrien inquired, tilting his head slightly.

Adrien's grandfather nodded. "Yes. It is a beautiful city."

"Grandfather?" Adrien tilted his face to meet the man's eyes, before his eyes darted to the painting of a peacock on the wall. "Why don't you talk about any of your friends? Did you have any?" The boy gasped. "Were you friends with the cat?"

The man nodded once again. "I was. Well, at one time."

"What happened?" Adrien questioned.

The man sighed. "We grew apart. We took different interests. Our parents didn't like each other very much."

"Why not?"

The old man shrugged. "I think that is another tale for another day. What else would you like to know?"

"About the cat and the Ladybug! How did they beat the moth man?" Adrien cried.

The old man leaned back into his chair, getting comfortable. "There was once a cat on a rooftop, and his name was Adrien…"
