At long last, I have finished it. I'm really sorry for the delay. I went back to college in 2021 and that took up a huge amount of my time. Now I'm on the hunt for a new job in accounting. But now that things have calmed down a bit, I finally managed to post this. Thanks for waiting and I hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 15: Battle of Port Royal; The Battle for the Crown

Port Royal Outskirts

Chaos... That was the best word to describe the sight before the Port Royal Soldiers as they stood at the ready to fight. They held their guns tightly, and the swords by their sides as they shook from the fear running through their bodies. The battle before them was something that was out of a horror fantasy movie but in a war setting. Before the soldiers were an army of man-eating giants in the hundreds and all that stood between them and the town's destruction are a small band of teenagers, a robot, a blue creature, and a muscular man. The soldiers, who were trained to defend their homes were now shaking in their boots as teenagers and others did the fighting for them. If they felt any shame, it was eclipsed by a scenario no one could've been trained for.

On the walkway around the wall of Port Royal stood other soldiers ready to fire cannonballs at the giants. The soldiers waiting to fire were just as scared as the ones below but they stood ready. All they were waiting for were the orders of one person who just stood there and stared.

Mercer stood in the center of the walkway staring at the army with his usually cold glare. He didn't even flinch at the sight before him as he stood his ground.

"Orders sir," one of the soldiers asked him as he was ready to fire a cannon at the battle regardless of who it hit.

"Hold your fire until ordered otherwise," Mercer sternly answered, "We wait until the giants are within range."

It was true. Thanks to Eric and the others, the giants were out of firing range of the cannons and guns. The plan was to fire once the giants were closer, but the soldiers could do nothing now but wait for another chance to fire.

"So we're just going to sit here and do nothing," another soldier exclaimed in a panicking tone of voice. "There's an army of giant men attacking and we to do nothing!?"

"If you wish to go against Lord Beckett's orders, then by all means," Mercer told the soldier in a cold commanding voice, "But you or anyone who does will be given a court-martial right after."

This made the panicking soldier along with any other in earshot shiver in fear as they continued to stand by. It was true that the giants before them were terrifying, but going against Lord Beckett's orders was just as terrifying. Either way, the soldiers were between a rock and a hard place. Killed by giants or face the quiet wrath of Port Royal's lord. The soldiers gave in and maintained their positions.

Battleground

The angry cries of the giants attacking rang through the air as dirt flew through the air. The giants were attacking Eric and the others with deadly intentions. Each member of Eric's group was in a different situation.

The giants were smashing their fists and weapons on the ground in an attempt to attack Eric who was using the water to quickly move around the field. The Seablade bearer might be outnumbered, but he was much faster than the giants thanks to his power over water.

"Stay still you wet bean," one giant yelled as he smashed the ground in a failed attempt to smash Eric.

"Not happening," Eric shouted back as he leaped into the air and unleashed a wave of water from the Seablade blasting the giant and others backward and onto the ground. Despite the attack knocking the giants backward, it didn't stop them for very long as they began to get back up.

In another part of the battle, Ariel and Olette were currently sending wave after wave of water from all around them towards the giants to send them back. While Fleshlumpeater and his group of giants began to panic from the idea of being cleaned, the other mature giants were pushed back by the sheer power of the two water benders working together.

"Fighting immortal giants," Olette commented as she performed another wave motion, "That's another thing to take off my bucket list."

"This isn't exactly how I imagine life on the surface," Ariel admitted as she performed another wave pushing more giants back, "I knew there would be adventures. Just nothing like the battle with the Sapphire Army and this."

"That's the problem with having enemies," Olette told her, "When one plan fails, they always try something even bigger."

Ariel didn't answer but she knew Olette was right. Ever since Ursula failed to take the trident from her father, the Sea Witch's plans had become bolder and more dangerous.

'Will there always be a larger threat waiting?' Ariel thought in sadness at the thought of always having to fight Ursula again and again.

"Focus Ariel," Olette exclaimed as more giants attacked the two of them, "It's going to take everything we have to survive this fight."

Kida and Frey each piloted an Atlantean vehicle in the skies as they shot blue electricity at the giants. The blasts pushed the giants back while those that were wet took more damage. But they weren't staying down for long as they seemed to heal extremely fast.

"Just as the legends said," Kida thought out loud as she witnessed the giants' power in person rather than from legends, "I knew they would be powerful... But I never imagined anything like this."

With every shot from her vehicle, more giants fell onto their backs only to get back up a moment later.

"And I thought the Sapphire Army was tough," Frey shouted as he dodged the attacking giants, "Though at least the Sapphire Army smelled better than these guys!"

It was true. The air was filled with dirt and the smell of terrible body odor that could cause death if exposed long enough.

Kida looked over at Frey with a smile. "You always find some way to make jokes in battle."

"It's what I do," Frey replied as he steered the ship around the attacking giants and blasted them with lightning from the vehicle, "Although jokes aren't going to do much in this fight."

Back on the ground, Ralph was doing what he could to keep the fighting away from Port Royal while also avoiding being seen by the soldiers. Despite his best attempts, he could barely dodge the attacking giants. Each attack from the invaders caused more dirt and stones from the Earth to rise in the air making it for Ralph to navigate.

'This is as bad as the battle with the Sapphire Army,' Ralph thought as he moved as best as he could, 'Why can't things ever be peaceful and-'

Suddenly, Ralph was hit by a morning star three times his size. A cloud of dirt filled the area surrounding where Ralph was hit. The wielder of the morning star grinned with delight at his victory.

"Beans are much easier to smash than before," the giant yelled out in triumph as the nearby giants laughed at how weak they saw humans had become.

Suddenly, the morningstar began to shake getting the giants' attention. The vibrations going through the weapon started slow, but then quickly increased.

The giant holding the morning star looked in confusion as his own hands began to shake as well. "What the-"

Without warning, the morning star was sent flying along with the giant holding it. The giant landed on the ground which caused an earthquake. Standing in the impact site was non-other than Ralph who didn't seem to have a scratch on him.

"Well, that hurt," Ralph admitted as he rubbed his head, "I'm going to feel that tomorrow. That or for a long time."

The giants nearby along with the one knocked down stared in shock at the recovering Ralph.

"That can't be! That little man still lives," one of the giants exclaimed, "He should be DEAD!"

"He even knocked one of us down," another said, "Is that one as strong as us!?"

"He might be as strong as one of us," a third exclaimed, "But not all of us!"

Ralph is doing his best to avoid violence as much as he can, but when a morning star from a giant impacts him, he holds it up and manages to throw the giant back. The giants are in shock that a bean has strength and endurance on a giant's level.

Wally is standing guard over Lilo while Stitch is on his shoulder with his blasters out in his two sets of arms. Wally and Stitch are shooting at the giants while Lilo takes as many pictures as she can.

Seifer is fighting off giants of his own as he uses the Flameblade. With one swing of the blade, fire erupts and hits the giants melting their armor. Seifer swings again sending hung chunks of Earth at the giants pushing them back or knocking them onto the ground. Like before though, the giants just get back up.

"It's not knocking them down that's the hard part," Seifer said as he waved his sword sending another group of giants onto the ground, "It's getting them to stay down that's the problem!"

Eric sent another wave of water at the giants knocking them back. "Just keep fighting! We have to do what we can until Jack and Arista can get the crown from Fallon," Eric shouted.

Olette used her water bending and froze a group of giants in place. "You really think this Fallon is anywhere near them," she shouted back, "What if he's somewhere in the back of the army we're fighting!?"

"We saw him fall into Port Royal with Jack, Chamo, and my sister," Ariel replied while pushing more giants back with a tidal wave, "He's there alright!"

"So all our hopes are back there while we're stuck fighting an unstoppable army" Frey shouted back, "I don't feel like our chances are very good right now!"

Port Royal

Museum

Inside the museum, the glass dome on the ceiling was shattered as glass and framework were now lying on the floor. That was the sight before Jack, Arista, and Chamo as they hung on a vine that stretched from one end of the room to another. After crashing into the museum, Jack managed to use his staff to create a vine to avoid the painful collusion.

"I've said it once and I'll say it again." Arista said as she continued to hang onto the vine, "I MISS THE OC-" Before she could finish, Chamo covered her mouth with a panicked expression on his face.

"Giants have excellent hearing and Fallon has twice the hearing," Chamo explained to her as he held onto the vine as well.

Arista nodded understanding as Chamo as he moved his paw away.

"Sorry," Arista said as she looked around. "Where's Jack?"

"Right here."

Above Arista and Chamo was Jack hanging on the vine. He too was attempting to remain as silent as possible while sliding down the vine towards the three.

"Not a bad landing if I do say so myself," Jack admitted as he reached for Arista and Chamo jumped onto his shoulder. Then, he used the staff to make a vine and lower all three of them down to the floor.

"Thank you," Arista said as she looked around where they were, "What do we do now?"

"We find Fallon, set up a trap, and try to get the crown from him," Jack answered as he hung the staff on his back, "Once we have that, this fight is over."

"You make it so easy," Arista said in a nervous voice from hearing Jack's simple plan.

"With it just being him and the other giants away from him, it's much easier now," Chamo replied, "Now let's work on setting up said trap by getting out of here."

With that, all three made their way through the halls of the museum. It was a new sight for all three of them, even though they couldn't stay and look at the artifacts and works of art.

"You know, despite the horrible danger we're all in, there's one thing about all this that has been bugging me," Chamo said as the three continued to look for an exit.

"We're being chased by a man, mermaid, and animal-eating giant and you're worried about something other than that," Arista asked in a flabbergasted tone of voice.

"Yes. After the first war with the giants, King Erik kept the seeds, and took them with him to his grave," Chamo explained as they made a turn down the hallway.

"That's right," Jack added, "He kept the seeds, the merfolk took the crown, and the Atlanteans kept the staff. They did that to keep the relics from falling into the wrong hands."

"Right. King Erik ruled the land that would become England until he died," Chamo continued as they turned a corner, "He was buried with the seeds to keep them safe. So, what the heck is a beanstalk doing in-"

The moment the three turned a corner, they stopped dead in their tracks and stared at the room before them. It was another exhibit in the museum but with banners saying it was brand new. The most noticeable banner read 'Era of King Erik' in gold print.

"Well... That answers that question," Arista said as the three entered the exhibit room.

They each moved around the room and took in the sights. Inside the room were items from when King Erik ruled over England from items from the royal throne room, works of art that were faded from the passage of time, and armor and weapons used in battles. Near the center was what many believed to be the royal cape worn by King Erik. It was red with white trimming.

A stone tablet with a picture etched into it really caught Arista's eye. The carving showed what looked like a battle. On the right side of the carving were large beings that resembled demons with claws, jagged teeth, and evil eyes. On the other side of the carving were three sets of people charging forward. One was on the ground wielding weapons like the ones in the exhibit. Another set of fighters seemed to be floating in the air as bolts of lightning were shot from what appeared to be the clouds they were riding on. The third set was near a body of water and appeared to be sending blasts of water toward the other side of the mural.

Arista stared at the mural, specifically the warriors in the water. Based on a story she and Ariel read as children, she realized the warriors were merfolk who had previously fought in the war.

'The merfolk did work alongside the humans and Atlanteans,' Arista thought to herself, 'Then... Does that mean that humans and merfolk were friends before? Could Ariel be right?'

As she pondered this, she noticed Jack staring at the centerpiece of the exhibit. She walked over and saw what Jack was looking at. It was the coffin of King Erik standing tall.

"Jack? Are you alright," Arista asked him as he seemed to have a solemn look on his face.

"Just... A little surprised that's all," Jack admitted to her, "This isn't how I imagined seeing King Erik."

"It must be weird seeing your ancestor set on display like a treasure rather than resting in peace," Chamo commented as he jumped on Jack's shoulder.

Jack nodded in agreement. A part of him wanted to see his ancestor's grave after Fallon and the other giants were stopped. But seeing him with the giants attacking the land all over again made him feel like he failed the king.

BOOM

A sudden crash broke all three from their trains of thought as they turned towards the sound.

"I SMELL YOU, PRINCESS!"

Fallon shouted after crashing through the entrance of the museum. The remains of the entrance landed on the floor as Fallon and his second head looked around in search of their targets.

Port Royal Field

The battle continued as more of the land was torn apart by the giants. Eric and the others did what they could against the giants but it was proving to be a losing fight.

Eric and Seifer continued to use their blade powers to push the giants back with water and fire respectively. Despite their control of the elements, it only slowed the giants down rather than defeat them.

"Alright, now I'm getting angry," Seifer said as he pulled the FlameBlade up and grasped the hilt as he focused. The blade began to glow bright red until he yelled out as a pillar of flame exploded before the giants. When the flames died down, it revealed his FlameBlade Master form along with his Hades Gauntlet.

"Now, let's see you walk through this," Seifer declared as he swung his blade forward sending a wave of lava at the giants. The heat from the molten Earth caused the giants to back away in fear of being burned as Seifer stood before them. The heat from the lava made him look like a demon born from the Earth's core as his eyes burned with power.

"Well… I guess I better follow his example," Eric declared as he mimicked his actions and transformed into his Master Form. The giants stepped back as Eric's form glowed with power. He swung the SeaBlade and shot multiple waves of water and ice to shoot toward the giants. The giants were pushed back or dodged the incoming projectiles and were put on the defensive.

Ariel and Olette continued to use their water bending to fight off the giants with water bending, but it was proving less effective against giants that weren't afraid of water. The girls couldn't draw in enough water from the ocean into the mainland without exhausting themselves.

"Water bending was much more effective in Giant's Land," Ariel said as she sent another blast of water at the giants, "Down here though, there's only so much water in the grass."

"Agreed. And we're too far from the ocean to make larger waves," Olette added as she tried to catch her breath, "I hate to admit it, but we have our backs against the wall here. Say, do you remember the technique our master told us about before we left the temple?"

Ariel looked shocked by what Olette was suggesting. "I do," she responded a little nervous, "But he said that-"

"This is an emergency," Olette declared as she got into position, "Or would you rather be eaten by giants?"

Ariel hesitated for a moment hearing that. She knew the situation was grave, but her master told her that the technique was difficult to control even with the smallest amount of water. But she also knew that she could think of no other option.

"We only have one shot at using it," Ariel said bringing up the flaw in the technique while getting into position, "If we mess up, we'll have nothing else to use."

"All the more reason to make this count," Olette said as she lifted her arms into the air.

Ariel did the same and the two began to wave their arms around in a circular pattern. As they continued, the moisture in the grass began to be drawn into the air above the girls causing the grass to become brown. The girls continued to do this until most of the fields outside of Port Royal became brown from a lack of water. Above the girls though, the swirling water grew larger by the minute. When the girls gathered as much water as they could, they shot their arms forward creating two streams of high-pressure streams of water toward the giants. The ends of the streams formed dragon heads as they headed towards the giants.

The giants who were afraid of water ran away from the water while the others attacked the water streams. The streams blasted through the giants sending them flying back into the forest. They also struck the water dragons with their weapons only for the weapons to be cut in half by the high pressure of the water. The two mermaid princesses continued to bend the water around the group of giants keeping them at bay. It was as though the rage of the ocean itself had been given physical form.

Ralph continued to fight off another group of giants as best as he could. While he may be as strong as one giant, he was still just one man fighting a group of giants. The only reason the Giants hadn't been able to capture Ralph was thanks to his speed compared to the other giants.

Wally and Stitch were using their weapons to fire at the giants' feet. Despite their firepower, the attacks felt like bug bites to the giants. Lilo kept taking as many pictures as she could of the fight.

'If we survive this, this will be the best scrapbook ever,' she thought as she continued to snap pictures in excitement.

In the air, Kida and Frey continued to fly in their own Atlantean vehicles striking back while avoiding the giants' attacks. The giants' attacks were proving to be tough to dodge due to the size of the attacks.

"You'd think lightning bolts would be enough to knock anyone out," Frey exclaimed as he fired a bolt of lightning from his vehicle, "Yet these guys take it like it's a bit of static electricity!"

"Just keep it up," Kida told him as she flew around the attacks, "We have to do what we can before-"

Suddenly, Kida's vehicle was hit by a giant's club causing her to crash. Her Atlantean ship was destroyed while Kida was on the ground attempting to recover but still shocked from the crash. Frey flew down towards Kida to help her, but another giant attacked causing him to crash as well.

"Well look here," one of the giants said with a sinister grin, "Two little flying beans without their flying rocks."

"Time to eat," another giant said with a smile as drool leaked from his mouth.

Frey stood up with his blades ready to fight. "No way I'm going to let Kida be eaten by these two," he said to himself ready to fight, "But if I go down, I hope I give you all heartburn!"

Suddenly, from the sky, a sound of thunder filled the air getting the attention of everyone on the battlefield. They all looked up at the sky as the light shined in the sky that could easily be mistaken for the sun. But it was a light drawing in the clouds and swirled around the light source.

"What is that," Seifer exclaimed as he looked up at the light, "Don't tell me it's something else from Giants Land!"

"I'm not sure, but based on the giants' reaction, I'd say no," Olette added while pointing out the giants' own shocked reaction.

The giants were also looking just as confused and scared at the light in the sky.

Suddenly, the light went out as quickly as it appeared in a flash of light. Suddenly a large shadow appeared in the sky and was falling towards the battlefield.

"METEORITE," Eric cried out in shock as the others looked in horror at the approaching object.

"All soldiers inside, now," Mercer ordered over the PA system telling all of Port Royal's forces to abandon the battle and seek refuge. All the soldiers did just that as they left for shelter.

"What that be," one of the giants' said looking at the incoming object, "Looks like a big rock."

"Must be a boulder from home falling down," another giant suggested, "Let's use it against the little beans!"

A group of giants gathered within the shadow of the object ready to catch the boulder-like object together.

As Eric and his friends prepared themselves, the object began to become clearer as it continued to fall. Soon, it was revealed to resemble less of a boulder, but more like something else. Almost like a…

"I'm either seeing things from all this fighting," Ralph began to say, "But does that look an awful lot like a…"

"A… chest," Ariel said with a dumbfounded expression.

It was true. The falling object looked like a large orange treasure chest. Only this one looked to be the size of a mountain. It landed with a powerful crash on top of the giants. The giants were left out cold with the chest lying on top of them. The other giants were left in shock at what had just happened.

"LOOK OUT BEEEEELLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!"

Everyone looked up to see someone falling from the sky in a parachute. The flyer glided down towards Eric's group and landed before them. It was none other than Evie the Genie.

"She's hot! She's happy! She's HOME," Evie exclaimed with a huge smile on her face.

"Evie! You're back," Frey exclaimed in surprise.

"Welcome back," Kida exclaimed as she hugged Evie. Only for Evie to turn red and look as though she was in pain.

"Ooo! Ah! Oooooh! WATCH THE SUNBURN," she shouted in pain causing Kida to step back in confusion. Only for the cringing Evie to change back and smile, "HA! Kidding! Did you miss me? Be honest everyone!"

"Evie, it's great to see you, but we have a problem," Eric said as he pointed out the major issue behind them.

Evie looked behind her to see the other giants getting ready to resume the fight. "Oh wow! Giants do exist! And they're holding my stuff hostage," she exclaimed before turning into an Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonation, "Big mistake."

"Don't falter brothers," Thum ordered, "We may have lost some of our brothers, but they only gained one more! Let's show this new bean who rules these lands now."

"YEAH!"

The giants roared as they resume the battle against Eric and his friends including Evie.

She unleashed a huge blast of smoke and magic blinding everyone on the battlefield. When the smoke cleared, Evie was now as tall as the other giants except she looked like a giant gorilla.

"All you big bad boys need to learn to pick on someone your own size," Evie said in a challenging tone of voice, "Time for this freed genie to teach all of you a lesson."

Museum

Fallon moved through the halls of the museum searching for his prey. The screeching sounds from the spikes of the flail spiked mace scratching the ground filled the halls with every step the king of the giants took.

"Your scent is faint, princess," Fallon said as he looked around the rooms of the museum, "Mixed with sweat and the Seed of Erik. But we can always smell fear."

He entered the King Erik wing of the museum to see what Jack, Arista, and Chamo had seen earlier. He glared at the artifacts and relics from the past. For him, they were reminders of the battles that he fought in.

"You humans remember that battle as a great success," Fallon said in a disgusted voice as he swung his flail mace into a wall nearby destroying the lower half of it, "But for us, it was a fate worse than death! To be defeated by insects and with cheap magic! I can't think of anything more insulting!"

"For centuries, that defeat has been the only thing that I thought about," Fallon said as he continued to march around the room while noticing a royal robe of King Erik in the center of the room, "The anger and hate I felt towards that defeat. I will finally take my revenge here and NOW!" Fallon reared his weapon back and immediately flung it forward towards the cape.

As soon as his flail hit the cape, an explosion of vines burst out and wrapped around a shocked Fallon against the wall. The vines roped around Fallon's limbs like snakes wrapping around their prey. He was now wrapped in place.

"What the," Fallon exclaimed while his second head grunted in anger, "More of Erik's green tricks!"

Jack suddenly emerged from the grave while holding the Stalkman Staff with a confident smile on his face.

"I can't believe you fell for the oldest trick in the book," Jack said as he threw another pollen bomb at both of Fallon's heads as a cloud of dust exploded. As Jack marched forward confidently, he stopped in his tracks at the sight before him. Fallon didn't fall asleep like he was supposed to. He was only coughing.

"You think smoke bombs are going to save you, Son of Erik," Fallon shouted as he used his strength to break free from the vines and grab Jack, and brought the boy before the giant's heads.

"Oh yeah. I'm out of sleeping bombs," Jack said in an embarrassed tone of voice. The foul and hot breath of both of Fallon's heads was enough to make anyone vomit in disgust. "All these years, and you still haven't tried using a toothbrush," Jack exclaimed as he gagged.

"My breath will be the last thing you know once I've eaten you," Fallon said with satisfaction in his voice, "I will admit though, a part of me will miss the chase. But all things come to an end. Any last words you annoying little fool?!"

"I won't allow you to win, and you will fail Fallon," Jack said with conviction in his voice, "Like all those centuries ago, humans will not go down without a fight! They will stand together to protect what they hold dear! Humans will stop you like before and," Jack continued while having a grin on his face, "I'm running out of things to say! Are you ready?"

Fallon and his second head looked confused at what Jack just said. Only to suddenly notice a feeling on their other hand. There on his restrained hand was Chamo who had just pulled the crown off his fingers.

"NO," Fallon roared as Chamo with the crown in his paws leaped onto the floor.

"You really should've been paying attention," Chamo said confidently as he began to put the crown on.

Fallon was filled with rage. It was just like before, he had victory within his grasp, and it was stolen from him again by that accursed crown made from his own kind's heart. 'If my free and victory must be stolen again,' Fallon thought in rage, 'Then I can at least claim one minor prize!'

"I may not get revenge on mankind," Fallon roared as he swiftly moved Jack towards his mouth, "But I can at least END YOU!"

Time seemed to stand still for Jack and Chamo as the boy was about to be shoved into Fallon's open mouth. Chamo was just inches away from putting the crown on but it wouldn't have been fast enough to save Jack.

'Even if I die, I can at least guarantee that the BFG, Chamo, Arista, and the others are safe,' Jack thought to himself as he prepared himself for his end.

"JACK! NOOOO!"

Suddenly, the sound of a voice and lightning filled the room as Jack suddenly felt himself flying through the air. He was sent through the hallway and through a window outside. Fallon fell down and through another wall as the electricity continued to surge through him.

Chamo looked shocked as he looked over to the source of the attack and voice.

It was Arista who was looking just as shocked as Chamo was. Her arm was stretched out and sparks of lightning were flicking between her fingers. Arista looked at her hand as the sparks continued to come off her hand. She shook her hand instinctively trying to get the sparks to stop.

"Arista… You just use lightning bending," Chamo said in an astonished voice.

"I don't know how I even did that. I just knew that Jack needed help and then- JACK," she exclaimed as she remembered what happened to him, "He was thrown out of the room! We have to-"

Before she could finish, the ground shook as another shockwave sent Chamo and Arista flying. Arista slowly got up as she quickly recovered from the impact. Once her vision cleared, she saw the crown at her feet, which she quickly grabbed. She froze when she heard another footstep. She looked up to see Fallon glaring down at her as he lifted his flail up for another attack.

"So… The little princess had a trick up her sleeve," Fallon said in an angry tone, "I underestimated you, princess. A mistake I won't make again!"

Arista immediately made a break for it as Fallon swung his flail again. But the impact didn't happen much to her surprise. She turned around to see Fallon was being held back by the BFG.

"You! You just don't know when to quit, do you," Fallon exclaimed with venom in his voice at seeing his former friend fighting back.

"I won't let you be hurting anyone else," the BFG said as he struggled to hold Fallon back while looking back at Arista, "Arista, take the crown and run!"

Arista felt conflicted as to abandon the BFG, but Fallon was easily overpowering him. Just as she was about to wear the crown, Fallon threw the BFG to the side and glared at Arista. The fear of the giant's death glare made Arista abandon all rational thought and make a break for it with the crown.

"Give me that crown, wretch," Fallon commanded as he started after her, but found his leg held by the BFG who attempted to slow him down. Fallon growled as he kicked the BFG to the side. "Weakling," Fallon sneered as he returned to the search for his prey. There was no sign of Arista or the crown in the hallway. Fallon looked around while sniffing the air. He looked and grinned.

Arista was now running up a staircase she saw. She was going up as fast as she could as she carried the crown in her hands. She would've put it on but the fear of her situation made her mind race preventing her from thinking rationally.

'How did traveling to the surface to convince Ariel to come home lead to this,' she asked herself as she ran faster, 'If survive this, I will interfere with my sisters' lives again!'

Arista pushed through a door and found herself outside on the roof of the museum. She looked all over trying to figure out where to go next. She ran to the edge of the roof to see where to go next, only to see the only thing waiting for her was a long way to the street below.

'Okay, back the way I came,' Arista thought as she started back to the door. But then the roof exploded as debris shot upward causing her to back away and climb onto the edge of the room.

Emerging from the hole in the roof was Fallon who was looking around until he saw Arista on the edge of the room. He and his second head sneered as they pulled themselves onto the room and marched towards the scared mermaid.

"Is it fear or courage that compels you, princess," Fallon asked as he loomed closer to the mermaid. She was hanging onto the pillar with her back to the ground below her and the crown in her hand. She attempted to put the crown on, but she started to lose her balance the moment she moved her hands away from the statue. "Give me the crown and you may live to be my pet," Fallon offered with his flail ready to strike as he tried to get the crown back.

Arista almost slipped as she held on for dear life. She was filled with fear as the situation seemed hopeless, but something inside her told her not to give up.

"I'm never giving you this crown," Arista declared in defiance as she shot Fallon a glare.

"Oh… So unwise," Fallon answered in a tone of voice that said he was hoping she'd say that.

Arista braced herself for the worse as Fallon flung his flail at the edge of the roof where she was causing her to fall backward. She could feel gravity pull her body down toward the ground at an alarming speed as she screamed in fear.

'I don't want it to end like this,' Arista thought in defiance as she didn't want to die, 'This can't be how it ends…'

Suddenly, she felt something grasp her from behind as the force pulling her down seemed to decrease. She opened her eyes to see a sight that made her heart skip a beat. She was now in the arms of Jack who was using his staff with a vine shooting out and wrapped around another roof as a means of swinging.

"Didn't I make the second rule clear," Jack said with an authoritative tone of voice, "No straying from the group until I give the okay."

Arista felt her heart rate increase as her face glowed red. She felt so happy that Jack was able to save her from falling to her death. Her heart began to feel full from just being in his arms despite the dangerous situation they were in.

Suddenly, the vine began to become unstable causing the two teens to look up. The part of the roof that the vine was wrapped around had come undone thanks to Fallon destroying it. The two teens went out of control bumping between the two buildings until they crashed through a window and back into the museum.

As the two recovered, the side of the museum was broken as Fallon crashed through and grabbed the two teens.

"You two have run out of tricks," Fallon declared as he held each teen in a hand, "At long last, revenge against the Heir of Erik and of the Swimmers!"

Jack and Arista struggled but Fallon's strength was too much.

"Time to finish what I started all those years ago Heir of Erik," Fallon declared as he lifted him upwards and over his mouth, "Hope you don't squirm on the day down."

"His name is Jack," Arista declared defiantly at Fallon, "And mine is Arista!"

Fallon simply grinned as he didn't seem to care. He lifted Jack up and opened his mouth ready to drop the vein of his existence into his mouth.

As Fallon loosened his grip on Jack, the boy reached for in his pocket and pulled something out while looking defiantly at Fallon. "You know, you have really bad breath," Jack declared, "You should really eat more GREENS!"

Then, Jack loosened his grip and dropped a seed into Fallon's mouth. The seed went into the giant's mouth and down his throat until it reached his stomach. The seed began to shake as the shell broke and a stem began to grow. Like the previous beans, the stem expanded more and more until it spread throughout the stomach. The stem pushed its way up Fallon's throat as he choked and the stem emerged from his mouth. The sides of his body began to break as more stems broke through his skin. His other head began to panic as more stems broke through Fallon's shoulder as the stems wrapped around the head. Fallon lost his grip on the two teens causing them to fall.

Before they hit the floor though, they were caught by the BFG. "Be staying close you two," the BFG said as he held the two teens closed to him, "This not be ending well." He began to run away from the Fallon.

"You're not kidding," Chamo exclaimed from the BFG's pocket as he hid behind a wall in another room.

The stems continued to expand putting more pressure on Fallon's body and second head.

"Uh oh," the second head grunted in dread as Fallon's body exploded and as the final beanstalk expanded and finished breaking the room of the museum. It continued to rise towards the sky like the others. The museum was barely standing as the beanstalk continued to grow upward.

In the other room, the BFG was on the floor after a root pushed the wall he was hiding behind down. As he slowly got up, he began to recover from the shock. "Is everyone being alright," he asked in concern when he noticed his hands were empty after falling over.

"I'm okay," Chamo said as he emerged from the BFG's pocket, "Feeling a little cramped but good."

Jack was nearby as he pulled himself up from the wreckage. "Present and accounted for," Jack answered as he rubbed his head.

"As am I," Arista said as she lifted herself up while her lower half was buried under some debris, "Is it over?"

"If by over, you mean Fallon," Jack said looking over at the beanstalk which was covered with some of Fallon's blood as bits of his body were scattered across the floor, "I'd say it's over for him."

The BFG had a solemn expression at the remains of his former friend. He knew that the Fallon he knew only existed in his memory, but seeing his friend's fate was still hard to bear.

"But the battle is still going on outside," Chamo pointed out, "We need the crown to stop it."

Arista pulled the crown out from where she was keeping it, "I have it right he- WHOA!" Arista had attempted to stand up but ended up falling onto her front. The others looked to see what had happened to Arista and what they saw shocked them.

Arista was lying on her front holding the crown and her mermaid tail had returned. Arista looked back and saw the same thing much to her shock. "My tail? But I'm still wearing the bracelet," Arista exclaimed as she looked at her wrist, "It's right… Here…" Her wrist was bare and the bracelet was on the ground in front of her. It was broken into many pieces and bent in different directions.

"Well, this is a sticky wicket," Jack declared as he helped Arista up with her arm around his shoulder.

"Maybe it can be fixed," Chamo said as he picked up the pieces, "A little tree sap here and rope there it should be good as new."

Arista knew it wasn't that easy, but she also knew that there were more important things to worry about. "We'll cross that ocean when we get there," Arista declared, "We have to save the others."

Port Royal Field

The battle continued between Eric and his friends against the other giants. Evie's arrival had more than evened the odds thanks to her magic, but the giants' stamina was proving to be the winning edge. Eric and the others were becoming exhausted from the fight.

"I don't know how much we can keep this up," Seifer said, "But they just keep coming."

"Maybe we should've kept the Sapphire Army after all," Ralph said as he tried to catch his breath.

"Just a bit longer everyone," Eric said as he held the Seablade up, "We just have to stall them a little longer."

Ariel stood by her fiancé. Hearing his resolve to keep fighting gave her the strength to keep going as well.

Thum saw the heroes in their tired state and smiled evilly. "See that, brothers?! They are getting weak," he declared, "One last push is all we need! CHARGE!"

The giants roared in agreement as they began to charge. Eric and the others braced for the coming fight. But it never happened. All the invading giants suddenly found themselves unable to move as they felt a familiar surge of magic go through them. They were forced to stop in their tracks as they looked toward the source of their paralysis.

There standing at the gate to Port Royal was the BFG wearing the Crown of Erik on his index finger. Jack was standing on the BFG's shoulder, Arista was in Jack's arms as he carried her bridal style, and Chamo was on Jack's shoulder.

The giants glared with hate at the BFG as they realized what was happening. Thum and Fleshlumpeater were among the angriest.

"Even if the runt has the crown, I won't be bowing," Fleshlumpeater declared in defiance as he attempted to fight the crown's control, "I WON'T BE BOWING!"

But despite his protests, the crown's magic was too strong and he was forced onto his knee. Thum was of the same thoughts, but he silently admitted defeat.

Eric and the others yelled in victory at their plan working and the efforts not being wasted.

"It be time for us to be going home," the BFG declared to the other giants, ending the threat of the giants once and for all.

Next Chapter: The Battle's Aftermath; Feelings Confirmed

Well, that was tough. Getting back into the way of AKH after a year of taking classes to do accounting. But I think this turned really well. The hardest part about this chapter was Ralph's battle due to his size and dislike of violence. Hope you enjoyed reading this and that you are safe and healthy.
