Chapter 25

Back home, Gannon and Garret were standing in the living room while Matt paced back and forth.

"He'll be fine. The Mothman is with him." said Garret.

"I know. But Tyrone can get hurt." said Matt.

"Didn't you hear me?" asked Garret.

"Lay off him will ya?" suggested Gannon.

"I'm sorry. I'm a little jittery as he is." said Garret, petting Bubbles on his shoulder.

"Bubbles, you did a good job. Thank you." said Gannon. Bubbles the hermit grab then made a small salute and nodded.

"How do you think they are doing in there?" asked Garret, pointing to the room behind them.

"I hope things have calmed down for them. I'm surprised that guy was human. No wonder we couldn't find him in the records." said Gannon.

"He's not bad. He was just trying to save his wife." said Matt softly.

"Yeah, and he almost killed us all." said Garret.

"Keep your voice down." said Gannon.

In the other room, Natalie was cleaning Sam's wounds. He was still hurt from the beatings the Germ gave him some hours ago. Sam had his shirt taken off, and his body was very bruised. Natalie placed a warm towel over his bruises and tried to press gently on them.

"Who would have thought that Rood Bridge Park was going to be in our lives." said Natalie.

"I know. Mothmen, talking animals, and even creatures from fairy tales." said Sam.

"Sam, what will we do now?" asked Natalie.

"Things will never go back to the way they were before. I'm still the BogeyMan, in some way. I still have the dark impulse in my veins. And you have the power to create flowers. It seems we just have to live like this for the rest of our lives." said Sam.

"I know." whispered Natalie.

"And I have a lot of things to atone for," said Sam.

"My love, you tried to save me. Also, I can't help but feel that I got things to atone for too. I think I have an idea. Those two boys, Tyrone and Matt. Where are their parents?" asked Natalie.

"We're back." said Tyrone. Matt rushed over to him and quickly hugged him tight. The Mothman came in seconds later and in that instant, Gannon and Garret bowed their heads.

"Your excellency." they said in unison.

"At ease Gannon and Garret. Your bravery and selflessness will be rewarded greatly." said the Mothman.

"All we ask for are nachos and soda," said Gannon with a smirk.

"Behave." whispered Garret fiercely.

"Our job is not done my friends. Viscount Brion has been released from his prison." said the Mothman.

"I thought so." said Garret sadly.

"Why am I not surprised. We all knew the old man was gonna come back from limbo." said Gannon.

"In the meantime, we will speak to the Queen back in the village. You two shall come with me." said the Mothman.

"Sounds like a plan your grace," said Garret.

"Before you go, there is something I want to talk to you about." said Tyrone.

"Ah yes. Your situation with young Matt." said the Mothman.

Tyrone pulled Matt closer to him and firmly pressed his hand on his shoulder.

"I grew fond of him. Matt brought me what I have been missing. A friend and a little brother. Mr. Mothman, I want to adopt him as my foster brother. I love him so much!" said Tyrone firmly.

Matt's face beamed with delight and looked at Tyrone with tears in his eyes.

"Y-you mean… I get to stay with you?" he said softly.

"If that is okay with you. I wouldn't mind having a little brother to boss around." said Tyrone.

Matt then began to cry and hugged Tyrone tightly. He pressed his face on his stomach and Tyrone hugged him back.

With that happening, Sam and Natalie stepped out. And they too stood in front of the Mothman.

"I understand I made crimes in your kingdom. I'll face the charges against me." said Sam.

The Mothman shook his head. "Absolutely not. You were a victim of our world's trickery. It is the Germ who should have faced charges. But alas, he has died. Too bad." said the Mothman.

"But there must be something I can do. What about Tyrone and Matt? Natalie and I could adopt them!" said Sam.

"What?" asked the Mothman.

"You see, Tyrone and Matt are kids and they live alone. It's best that they have parents watching over them." said Natalie.

"You mean it?!" cried Matt.

"It is getting rather lonely here at home." said Tyrone with a smile.

"Very well. I'll see to it that Sam and Natalie become your official foster parents. I'll handle the paperwork and such. However, Tyrone, you never mentioned you were orphaned to your school or to your workplace, is that correct?" asked the Mothman.

Tyrone nodded and Sam and Natalie quickly stepped in.

"We don't really need to do paperwork. We can just say we are his parents. No need for legal action." said Sam.

"We can claim that both boys are ours." said Natalie.

Matt chuckled. "But I'm from Mexico. And if people see me hanging out with white guys like you, they will ask questions." said Matt.

"Except I'm not really white. Remember what I told you about my Grandpa?" asked Sam.

"Oh yeah! You're half Hispanic!" cried Matt.

"There! Looks like we have the perfect cover to protect you guys." said Natalie.

"Then it's settled. Sam and Natalie will watch over Tyrone and Matt and they are now officially your foster parents, thus says the law of
Rood Bridge Park." said the Mothman.

Sam and Natalie hugged Tyrone and Matt and Gannon and Garret both applauded. "Wow! Things worked in the end!" cried Gannon.

"Yeah. They really did." said Garret.

About a month later.

Matt packed everything in his backpack. His textbook, his chromebook and his favorite car shaped pop it. He got up and walked down the school hallway with his class. The elementary school in Garibaldi was nothing like the one he attended in Hillsboro. This school was much smaller, yet crowded with kids. There was a community of different children from different parts of the world, thus making Matt feel very comfortable. However, the family he now lived with was very special.

His Dad was a BogeyMan. His Mom is some sort of mother nature esque lady with a green thumb. And his big brother was just an average joe with a big heart. Matt loved everyone so much, but he felt more enderaed towards Tyrone, who was the first to open his home to him. As he left towards the pick up area, he saw them, standing outside, waiting for him.

Sam was wearing his red plaid shirt with a tennis cap. His arms were folded and he looked serious. But he smiled warmly upon seeing Matt. Natalie smiled and opened her arms to welcome Matt, who came running towards her. Tyrone was next to them. He was smiling and he waved his hand at Matt. While Natalie had Matt in his arms. Sam hugged them both and so did Tyrone.

They were now a family.
