Luz POV
Luz screamed out in agony, feeling Belos course lightning through her body, causing every muscle to spasm uncontrollably. She let her voice echo out, as her vision went white with pain.
This was new.
Belos had not electrocuted her before, and Luz wished he had never thought of it. It hurt. Her muscles were weak and frail. She could barely move on her own most days. So, being forced to flex her whole body only brought her new pain she had never felt before.
She had never screamed this loud before. She assumed it was due to the lightning making her lungs contract, and her throat tighten, forcing all the air out of her chest. When the pain stopped, she fell back limp, the chains around her wrists tugging hard as she let her body fall down again. She gasped for air, tears streaking down her cheeks.
"I thought you were a human. I would think that you knew restraint" She gasped out at Belos. "That you would be merciful." She tried to reason, desperate for any mercy she could coerce out of the madman.
"Towards any other human, I would show mercy" He responded darkly. "But to one who committed sins like yours, who chose to worship witches, instead of hunting and burning them at the stake... That I will not tolerate. There is no method that is too cruel when it comes to hunting down demons and devil worshipers." Belos said heartlessly.
"The ends justify the means" He concluded, as he cast another spell. The room filled with bright blue and white light as the lightning he summoned coursed through Luz's frail body again, causing her screams to echo out again. Her arms convulsed, lifting her up slightly as if she were doing pull ups. However, her shoulders had been dislocated for years. And the feeling of her arms lifting her body despite not working properly, only heightened her agony.
She felt her abdomen flex, lifting her legs up until she had curled into a ball, hung in the air. When the lightning stopped, she instantly fell limp, only to gasp in pain as her weight tugged on her wrists again.
She gasped for air, relief flooding her body when she saw Belos finally dismiss the spell permanently. She sobbed openly now. She didn't have the strength to act strong this time. "Please" She begged, her voice hoarse. "Please, stop. Have mercy." She sobbed. She heard a spell circle and felt her right foot begin to go cold, and started to panic more than ever before. Struggling, and flailing in her restraints. She was about to finally give in.
Only to close her eyes as he drew his fist back. She prepared for the incoming blow, to feel his hand connect with her skull, and make her see stars. However, when Luz opened her eyes, she was shocked by the sight before her. Belos had his hand drawn back, ready to strike. But his eyes were wide, surprised. Luz watched as he slowly fell to the ground, his eyes falling closed, as he collapsed into a heap.
In surprise, Luz looked up shocked at who she saw before her. Standing over Belos was a witch. A staff topped with a white cat palisman held tight in their hands, the bright purple spell circle completed and fading. Luz blinked, as she tried to tell if what she was was real or fake. The person in front of her looked at Luz, with horror in their eyes. They looked an awful lot like Amity. Only, older. Taller. Stronger. Hotter. Their hair was longer, and, with the pads they were wearing on their body, they looked like some kind of Grudgby player.
Luz realized that Belos's last punch must've knocked her out. She was dreaming now. So, she smiled, as her vision began to shrink, tunneling in. As her head went limp, and she passed out, one word escaped her lips.
"Amity..."

Amity POV
Amity nearly shot to her feet and rushed to the door when she recognized Luz's screams. If it weren't for her father hugging her, she would have blasted straight through all the guards right now,
"LET ME GO" She screamed as she struggled against her fathers embrace. "LUZ! I'M COMING! JUST HOLD ON!" She wailed, tears pouring down her cheeks as she frantically fought to escape, as if she were a captured animal.
Her struggles brought the attention of the rest of the group. Everyone turned to see Alador Blight holding back his frantic daughter. His expression looked defeated as he listened to his daughter's sobs of anguish.
"What the hell happened?" Eda asked, looking at Alador, as Amity struggled in his arms. However, Amity didn't even hear Eda. All she could hear were Luz's screams. And she needed to stop them. To put an end to her suffering. To hold her close, and tell her it will be okay. She needed to save Luz.
Her father seemed to explain what was happening to Eda, whose expression became furious. She ended her lecture at Lilith instantly, and ordered everyone to move. "Let's go. Now. Everyone, follow the plan."
Amity looked over just long enough to see the whole group break into a sprint around the corner. Eda lifted King, and set him on her shoulder. She grabbed Amity under one of her arms, and then took to the air, as all of their friends and family rushed the guards with rageful cries.
Amity didn't even take a moment to admire their bravery. She heard it again. Luz's screams. She was about to try and get out of Eda's grasp, to start moving towards the throne room, when Eda began flying straight at the door. Amity barely had enough time to cover her ears, as she heard King take a deep breath.
"WEH!" He shouted out, the entire room shaking as the massive throne room doors were blown off of their hinges and sent flying dozens of feet inwards, smashing to the floor and shattering into pieces. Eda flew into the empty throne room, as their friends and family took the guards down rapidly.
The elite guard had been too stunned. Too shocked and surprised to even try and defend themselves. They were completely overpowered, and quickly subdued.
Amity didn't even watch them however. Her eyes wildly scanned the room, looking for where the entrance to this secret prison was. She saw it finally, pointing towards the throne.
"There!" she shouted, pointing it out to Eda and King.
In the direction of Amity's finger, the throne had been slid backwards, away from its standard position. And under where it always sat, was a golden trap door. Carved into the top was the symbol of the Emperors Coven.
Eda quickly flew to it, and landed, before grabbing the handle and trying to lift it open. However, despite all her harpy form's strength, she couldn't lift it more than a few inches. "Fuck! It's so damn heavy!" She exclaimed, as she set it back down.
As she set it down, this time, her face paled, as she looked at Amity. Both of them are hearing it now. Both heard Luz scream out. Her voice was louder now, being so close to her. And they could hear it from right under them.
In an instant, Amity summoned a massive Abomination. One larger than ever before. Her magic empowered by the adrenaline coursing through her, and the desperation in her heart. The Abomination grew to size, and towered over everyone in the throne room, its head scraping against the ceiling. When its massive hand bent down to grab the door, Amity flooded her magic into it.
The colossal hand grabbed the heavy golden trap door, and tore it from the hinges with a mighty pull. Hard enough that when the door came free, it was sent flying into the air, smashing through the ceiling and off into the distance.
Eda blew out a low whistle as she watched it fly, turning to Amity. "Remind me not to get on your bad side, Minty Fresh" She teased. However, her mind was quickly brought back to focus on the task at hand, when Luz's voice loudly echoed up from the new hole in the floor.
Amity looked down at where the trap door used to be. It had hidden a staircase heading down, into a dark carved stone dungeon. And when she strained her ears, she could swear she could hear the sound of lightning down below, mixed with Luz's screams. Her abomination melted into a puddle as she lost concentration on it.
Amity broke into a sprint, taking the steps 3, 4, 5 at a time. Using her magic to steady herself, and prevent her from falling. Her brain had left her. Her thoughts were gone. No more, was the methodical and logical Amity. Now, she ran solely on instinct and on what her heart said to do. And right now, the only thing her heart was crying out was Save Luz.
Amity reached the bottom of the stairs faster than anyone would have thought possible, and was only stopped by a wooden door blocking her way. There was no lock on the door, so she quickly opened it, and slipped through. She would have flung it open, but that would have taken more time. It was faster to just push it open enough and to scramble past in the half way opened door.
She ran down the hall, her ears filled with the sound of voices. She saw a barred wall ahead on the left hand side. The middle of the wall looked like it had been melted open. And behind it were two figures. One was closer, its back turned to Amity. Though, she recognized the outfit. It was Emperor Belos.
Behind him, cloaked in shadow and their features hidden, was a slim form, suspended in the air from shackles hanging from the ceiling of the small cell. In her panic and in a flurry of emotion, Amity summoned her staff, and drew the strongest spell circle she could. The light from the magic filled up the room. She wanted so badly to impale the man in front of her. But her fathers words echoed in her mind. So, she cast a sleep spell. One that drained almost all of her bile. On a normal witch, she would have knocked them out for weeks.
But on an all powerful, horrible entity like Belos? She had no clue how long she had.
Amity watched Belos fall to the ground, and looked at the figure suspended in front of her. She could only look forward in horror, as she felt her stomach knot tightly. She nearly hurled at the sight, with the terror and disgust that filled her mind. Terror wondering if the person was even alive, and disgust that someone could even do such a horrible thing.
Eda finally reached Amity's side, and all Amity could hear was a strangled gasp from the harpy lady and King. Amity looked forward to the person in-front of her. Hanging in the air from their wrists, was a human girl. Her skin was darker than Amity's, but still paled from its once tan luster. The brown hair on the human's head was long, and hung low on their back, down near their knees.
Their brown eyes that once shone so brightly with light, looked dull and unfocused as they met her own. The human's clothes were nothing more than tattered rags that barely covered their breasts and hips. Were it not for the situation at hand, Amity would have been a flustered mess at how close she was to being nude.
The sheer amount of blood coating the human's body, staining her skin, and the massive dried stain of blood on the floor prevented her from having a gay panic attack. The walls around the room were stained with splatters of blood. The girl's body was coated in scars, from head to toe, and had several open stab wounds, gashes and lacerations. Many burns, both scared over and fresh. Both from what looked to be fire and chemicals.
The pattern of a lightning bolt could be seen going straight across the human's body, from left leg to right arm, connecting from where her toes grazed the floor, to where her arm was cuffed to the ceiling. There was a large scar across the human's face. From above her right eye, down to her left cheek.
Her shoulders looked wrong. Out of socket, and very broken. The skin around was blackened and bruised from their weight hanging on the dislocated sockets. Her hands were bent at weird angles at the wrists. And you could see her broken ribs beneath her skin. She was so thin. All skin and bone. Gaunt. Starving. They looked dehydrated too. Face receded, and skin cracked from a lack of moisture. Amity's heart shattered into millions of pieces looking at the sight in front of her.
Luz lifted her head, bringing unfocused eyes to the witch in front of her. Amity recognized the look of confusion on her face. Ever so slightly, a spark of the old light that lit the human's eyes once in the past returned.
Luz's mouth opened and only a single weak word escaped, sounding more like a whimper, before they fell unconscious. And Amity felt her world shatter as she heard Luz's weakened voice, barely a whisper.
"Amity..."
