Dipper POV
To follow the Multibear at night, Dipper and Ace put their hands on the Multi-bear's fluffy back. The multi-bear could see much better not only because he had so many eyes, but because he was always in a cave. Considering that, It was actually quite strange that the Multi-bear was out of his cave. He sighed and turned his head to Ace.
Dipper had his own thoughts about Ace. He could possibly be under Bill Cipher's control. At first it seemed like it, him trying to help, gain his trust. But maybe he was actually just a good guy. Just a guy who wanted friends and a normal life.
But there was something off about him. He had noticed it before. It couldn't be anything bad, right? The watch too was a bit sketchy.
Who just shows up in the woods? Especially the paranormal woods of Gravity Falls? Tell me that ain't suspicious. Maybe he wasn't lying about his parents. Just then he had a thought. "Hey Ace."
He didn't respond; he seemed to be lost in his thoughts. Ace seemed to be pondering about something that he really didn't like to think about. His face was all scrunched up. That made just Dipper more curious.
Dipper saw ahead of Ace was a tree. The tree was big, scary, and the branches were sharp. Dipper saw it just in time. He must have been real deep in his thoughts to not see the giant, spooky tree. He pulled him to the side just in time. The tree still reached him and cut Ace in the forehead. He snapped back to reality and put his hand to his forehead and winced.
Dipper raised an eyebrow at the Multibear. He was the one leading them. He should have seen the tree and moved away from it. He just grunted and turned. At this point Dipper no longer believed Ace was bad. Just a guy being deceived by the Multi-bear. He was being mean for no reason.
Dipper called to Ace again. "Ace, I have a question."
"Ask away," said Ace. Dipper could've sworn he tensed. It was such a little reaction, Dipper could've missed it.
"Do you believe in mythical creatures?"
He relaxed ever so slightly. "... Like what?"
"I dunno. Vampires, goblins, flying brains with eyes, elves-"
"Yeah." Ace said it quickly like he didn't want him to name more.
"Really? That's great! I could talk to you about-"
"Do you think maybe it's not only creatures? For example, a society of creatures of intelligence," Ace quickly said, interrupting Dipper. he seemed more interested in the topic than he originally thought.
"Well, I've never thought of it before." Dipper wondered if Ace had encountered such a thing. The only society he's ever seen was The Blind Eye and he quickly disbanded it. With the help of his friends, of course.
The Multi-bear stopped. There was a lake and no more woods. Dipper remembered coming here with Gruncle Stan and Mabel. There was a dock and multiple boats just laying around. But no people.
"The scent ends here. I've got to go, I have an urgent meeting. Bye."
Meeting? Dipper thought. But-
"Wait-" Dipper began to say but the Multi-bear was gone. Ace looked at the spot the Multi-bear disappeared then at the lake with
"Have you been here before?" Ace asked.
"How did you know?"
He pointed to a wrecked boat. It had the words STAN O WAR painted on it. Next to it were rocks organized to say MABEL WAS HERE TWICE! Dipper smiled excitedly. Mabel wasn't kidnapped by some weirdos, was she? Where? She still wasn't anywhere in sight.
Dipper sighed and sat down. He felt like crying but held them back. He didn't want to cry in front of a guy he just met.
Ace looked around Wendy's age but you couldn't have been able to tell his age by his short height.
Maybe they could wait for Mabel here. His eyes began to close.

Artemis POV
Artemis was surprised to see Dipper fall asleep. He seemed completely awake and active.
Artemis himself felt pretty tired. The wound on his forehead didn't help.
His gash was bleeding. He could heal his wound if he had magic. He looked around. The pine trees here and the lake would be perfect for a fairy magic ritual. If he could try it…
He grabbed an acorn from the most ancient pine tree he could find and placed it in a hole he dug. He said, "I return you to the earth, and claim the gift that is my right."
"Cool words," said a voice from the woods. This startled him. His hand sparked small lightning.
It worked. I thought he lost all the magic I stole when I went to the clone's body. Artemis thought. My plan would fail if that voice saw the sparks.
A girl came out of the woods. Artemis would've mistaken her for Dipper if it weren't obvious that she had long hair and a bright sweater now covered in dirt and leaves. She was wearing a blindfold. He sighed with a sense of relief. She couldn't have seen the sparks. An idea came to mind.
"Are you Dipper's sister?"
"You know my brother? Great!" She clapped her hands together. She reached for the blindfold but she stopped halfway. "So where is he?"
Artemis wondered why she would want to know where he is if she didn't want to remove her blindfold. Maybe she was blind or had some eye disease? Artemis thought it was best not to ask for now.
"He's over there… Follow me."
"It's funny how we bumped into each other randomly." She laughed more than normal. They certainly did not bump at random.
"...Yes?"
"What's something you like?"
"I like uncovering the truth," Artemis said darkly.
"HAHAHAHA! Me too!" The girl didn't seem interested in what Artemis had said. Artemis realized what she was doing. He could use this.
"If you don't mind me asking, why do you wear the blindfold?"
"Well, you see there was this monster and if you looked at it, You would go bye-bye."
"Similar to Medusa? Well, It's not here now." Artemis wondered what kinds of creatures were here and if someone had a guide to them.
"... If you say so." She took off her blindfold. She looked a lot like Dipper. Artemis faked a warm smile. It was a little weird doing this considering the girl was probably half his age so he'd make sure it wouldn't go too far.
She squealed to herself. She looked towards Dipper and rushed to him. She shook him awake.
"M-Mabel?"
"Yeah!"
"Where were you?"
"Looking for food. Duh."
"We better head home. Let's follow the road there." Artemis felt dumb. He noticed the road now. It was hidden behind the trees. Still, he was sure it wasn't there before. He wondered where it would lead. This dimension was really interesting.
He felt a strange connection to Mabel he hadn't mentioned before. He felt drawn to her but not because he had feelings for her. Again, that would be weird since he's half her age. She had reminded him of Holly. They were both confident and bold.
