Here we go! The 2nd chapter of IFMS: Heroes of Remnant. Sorry this took a while, some things came up but it's no big deal. Went to Florida for a bit and now have the house for myself, my sis, and her boyfriend. So living the good life!
Now, this chapter will pretty much introduce all the MHA characters that will be attending Beacon. They won't be the only ones in this fic but they will be the main ones. So if you ask to bring in another character to add to the main cast...the answer is no. Sorry but me and Petrus already have a lot of things figured out.
We have all of Volume 1 figured out and have a good outline of Volume 2 so far so the development has been going nicely. Also have ideas on things to do up until Volume 5 as well as a few other things. Like the White Fang and Adam, definitely gonna try and fix up that because they really went to the wayside later on in the show.
But enough about all that, I hope you guys enjoy the chapter!
"Do you really have to go big brother?" Eri asked with a sadden frown as she saw on her brothers bed and watched as he got ready to leave their home.
"I…I'm sorry Eri," That was Izuku could say as he packed up his bags. Today was the day he would be leaving for Beacon Academy. He would meet up with Jaune at the train station where they would go to the city of Vale and then take the airships up to Beacon. But as excited as Izuku was, he was also a bit sad as that would mean be leaving his home, his mom…and Eri. "But I have to do this. Believe me I wish I could stay too but…this was always my dream, I'm gonna train to be a Huntsman one day so I can protect everyone I can from the Grimm, like I did for you,"
"…" Eri simply looked down, tears starting to build up in her eyes. Ever since he saved her life from the Grimm, Eri has been practically attached to Izuku to the point where he was essentially her lifeline. At this point she couldn't imagine her life without him…and now he was leaving for school for four whole years. Sure there were breaks and such but still…
"Hey," A soft hand was placed on Eri's head and she looked up to see Izuku giving her a soft warm smile that held a bit of sadness to it. "I'll call everyday ok? And I'll visit when I can, I promise."
Eri sniffled a little bit before wiping away the tears before they could fall and nodded her head slightly. "Ok…" She let out quietly. Izuku then wrapped her up into a hug that she instantly returned, holding onto him tight. She didn't want to let him go, but eventually they had to separate with Izuku putting Eri back on the bed before finishing putting the rest of his cloths in his bag. Izuku then left the room, telling Eri he had to grab something real quick. Once he left, Eri's eyes went over to her big brother's suitcase…and an idea came to her head. "Hmmmmm…
A few minutes later, Izuku was now standing in front of his house with his suitcases in hand. The bigger one was filled with his cloths and the small one had his Huntsman Journals as well as his old training katana inside. He was already to go, just needed to do one last thing. "Sweetie…I'm just…I'm just so proud of you…" Inko told her son with tears falling from her eyes, a proud motherly smile on her face as she looked over her 17-year-old boy. In an instant he seemed to turn back into that four-year-old who loves playing Huntsman and Grimm with the other kids. Now he was on his way to becoming a real Huntsman! "Look at you…it feels like yesterday you were my baby boy and now you're a big strong man heading to a real Huntsman academy…"
"Come on mom…" Izuku smiled as he blushed in embarrassment, feeling a bit emotional himself. Nothing would prepare him for saying goodbye to his family. "It's not that big of a deal…"
"Yes it is Izuku," Inko told him in a gentle yet firm tone as she cupped his cheek and looked him right in the eye. "You be very careful alright? Call me every day…and do your best sweetie. I know you're gonna be one of the best Huntsman Remnant as ever seen,"
Izuku smiled as he wiped his eyes before hugging his mother tightly, "Thanks mom," The mother and son clung onto each other tightly for a few more moments before separating. Inko gave her son a kiss on the cheek before he turned around, ready to head out. "I should get going now, I love you,"
"I love you too Izuku," Inko said, no longer able to keep the tears at bay as she waved to her son as she walked to the train station.
It took about a ten-minute walk to the train station, along the way Izuku ran into a few people he knew and waved to them goodbye as they wished him luck at Beacon. Once Izuku was there he saw Jaune on one of the benches waiting for him. "Hey Jaune!" Izuku called out to his best friend, getting the golden blonds attention. "I'm here,"
"Oh hey Izuku, what took ya so long?" Jaune asked as Izuku sat next to him, placing his bags on the ground. "Long goodbye?"
"Yeah, you know how my mom and sister can be," Izuku explained before sighing and looking down at the ground, his adoptive little sister coming to mind. "I really hope Eri will be ok…"
"Hey she'll be fine bud, don't worry," Jaune reassured Izuku by patting him on the shoulder. "She's got your mom and my family looking out for her, plus Grimm activity around here has practically been non-existence for the last few years. She couldn't be safer,"
"…Yeah…yeah you're right," Izuku nodded as he put a hand to his head. "Guess I just worry too much,"
"Heh, you got those overprotective sibling instincts," Jaune chuckled before shivering a little bit, "Believe me I know what those can be like…"
"Hey, you weren't the only one your sisters were protective with," Izuku shuddered a little bit as his own memories of Jaune's sisters came into his head, his face starting to go red. "Least none of them ever flirted with you…"
"Oh you enjoyed it," Jaune chuckled a bit at Izuku's expense. Izuku simply groaned and tried to hide his face as-
"Train heading to the city of Vale will be leaving in five minutes, all aboard!" An intercom announcement as people started to head to the train, including our two Huntsman in training.
"Welp, guess this is it," Jaune gulped nervously as she stood up. "Time to head to the future,"
"Jaune…" Izuku spoke up as he pointed at one of the entrances to the train. "Look."
Amongst the crowd, his spiky ash blond hair making him stick out, was Katsuki Bakugo. His own suitcase in hand and his usual scowl on his face as he entered the train. "Hey…forget him," Jaune told Izuku as they started heading to a different entrance on the train. "This is about us,"
"Ok…Ok you're right," Stealing his nerves, Izuku picked up his bags. As he lifted his cloths bag he grunted a bit at the weight. "Geez…"
"Something wrong?" Jaune asked as he and Izuku entered the train.
"I don't know…" Izuku answered as he lifted up his cloths bag more. "My bag just seemed heavier than it should be."
"Eh it's probably just the nerves," Jaune waved it off as he and Izuku took their seats, looking out the window as the train went forward. "You'll get used to, from this point on we'll be training to be the best huntsman Remnant has ever seen, and nothing is gonna stop us now!"
SEVERAL HOURS LATER
"Oh Oum someone please stop this now!" Jaune grunted out, covering his mouth with his entire face green. Jaune and Izuku were now on the last part of their journey, riding the airships up to Beacon. The train ride was smooth and uneventful, as well as the walk through the city to get to the airships, but when they reached the airship Jaune remembered a little something about himself…
He gets flight sick.
"Alright you're gonna be ok Jaune," Izuku tried to ease his friend's sickness by rubbing his back and hold him still. It's been a while since he's had to do this for Jaune and was a little out of practice. As Izuku was trying to help his friend there was a holographic screen playing a news story about a criminal known as Roman Torchwick robbing a dust store recently before showing a story about an attack from the widely known terrorist group The White Fang.
But suddenly it was cut off as a hologram of Glynda Goodwitch appeared, getting everyone's attention. "Hello and welcome to Beacon," Glynda told everyone, though it was easy to tell this was just a recording.
"Whose that?" A girl with long blond hair and lilac eyes asked.
"I am Glynda Goodwitch,"
"Oh."
"You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy," Glynda told everyone, Jaune briefly getting over his flight sickness to watch and listen. "Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace. And as future Huntsman and Huntresses it is your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task. And now it is out turn to provide you the skills and knowledge to defend our world."
And with that, the hologram of Glynda disappeared leaving everyone to both think about her words as well look out the windows to see the view from the airship. 'I will defend this world,' Izuku thought with a determined look. As he looked out the window and saw their future school get closer, Izuku thought about the signature catchphrase of the greatest Huntsman in Remnant.
I AM HERE!
'Whenever we says that, it's a way of bringing people hope and smiles,' Izuku thought back to all the videos he saw of All Might. All the times he's saved people even during the bleakest of times, no matter how many Grimm were present. The second he appeared and said those words people were once again filled with hope. 'That's what I want to be. Someone who can save everyone no matter what and make them feel safe. I know it won't be easy…but I'll do whatever I can to achieve!'
"Blaaaaaaugh!" Jaune then puked on the floor.
"O-Oh crap!" Izuku yelled out as he quickly got out of the way before any could hit him. "S-Sorry Jaune! I lost focus!"
"Ew Yang you have puke on your shoe!" A girl in a red hood yelled out to the blond.
"Gross! Gross! Gross! Gross!"
"Ah! Get away from me! Get away from me!"
Well…first impressions weren't everything right?
Thankfully it only took a few more minutes for the airships to land and as soon as the doors to it opened Jaune immediately bolted out and stuck his face into a trashcan to puke out his guts. "We should probably work on that sometime…" Izuku sweat dropped as he patted Jaune's back to help him. "This probably won't be the last time we'll have to fly."
"Uuuuuugh…" This statement only causes Jaune to puke more.
"Tch, idiots," Making Izuku flinch, they watched as Katsuki passed by them as he exited the airship. Izuku didn't even realize he was on the ship with them! Then again…he was busy helping out Jaune. "If you can't even handle getting on an airship then go the hell home. You won't last a week in this school."
"…" Izuku was completely silent as he lightly glared at Katsuki, the ash-blond merely let out a glare in response as-
Bump!
He bumped into someone. "Hey!" Katsuki yelled at the person he bumped into. Turning around, the person revealed themselves to be a boy with dual colored hair and eyes, his hair being red on the left and white on the right and his left eye turquoise and his right eye dark gray. "Watch where you're going damn extra!"
"You bumped into me," The dual haired teen stated. His voice and expression completely stoic and calm.
"You wanna start someting!?" Katsuki was the exact opposite of that as he only grew more irritated as he shouted right into the stoic boy's face.
"I'm just stating the facts." Still his expression and tone didn't break.
"Just get outta my way half and half!" Katsuki yelled out as he started to walk forward, going around the dual haired teen. "Or I'll kill you!"
"I doubt that," The dual haired boy then looked to Izuku and Jaune. The former flinched a bit as those emotionless eyes looked right at him while kept puking. "Here," He then walked up to and with one hand grabbed Jaune's arm and held it up, and with his other hand he placed a few fingers on Jaune's inner arm, around the wrist area, and pressed his fingers down a bit.
"Huh?" In an instant Jaune stopped throwing up. Getting his face out of the trashcan he wiped his mouth and put a hand to his stomach. The feeling of his guts being completely shaken up gone. "Woah, thanks! But how'd you do that?"
"There's a pressure point below your wrist to help relieve nausea." The dual haired teen told them before giving them a wave and began walking away towards the school. "Thought you could use it, bye,"
"Oh, uh, b-bye," Izuku stuttered as he and Jaune waved back. "Thanks a lot!"
"Well, at least we know there are some nice people here," Jaune said with a bit of a relieved smile. A small part of him thought this place may be filled with jerks like Katsuki, but it looked like that wasn't the case thankfully. "Come on, let's get to where we're supposed to be."
"Yeah, just need to find the-" Izuku began saying before being interrupting the sound of an explosion coming from nearby. Looking in the distance, they saw some smoke rising up. "W-What happened over there?! Come on, we should check it out!"
"W-Wait what about-" But Jaune wasn't able to finish as Izuku was already running to where the smoke was. Probably checking to see if there was any danger around. Letting out a sigh, Jaune started to run after Izuku. "Somethings never change…"
Upon arriving at the scene of the explosion, Izuku and Jaune the red hooded girl from the airship laying down on the ground, that looked like it was burnt and cracked, with a white-haired girl and a black-haired girl walking away in different directions. Checking to see if she was alright, the two boys walked up to her with Izuku holding his hand out. "Hey," Ruby Rose looked up and saw Izuku extending his hand out to her with Jaune next to him. "Are you ok?"
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine," Ruby said with a smile small as she took the hand, letting Izuku help her up. She then looked over the two boys and snickered a bit as she looked at Jaune. "Aren't you the guy who threw up on the ship?"
A few minutes later the three could be seen walking through the courtyard of Beacon together, engaging in a conversation. "Look all I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem that people let on,"
"Look I'm sorry," Ruby apologized with a small smirk on her face. "Vomit Boy is just the first thing that came to mind,"
"Oh yeah? Well what if I called you Crater Face?" Jaune said with his own smirk.
"Hey!" Ruby let out with a pout. "I told you that explosion was an accident."
Izuku sweat dropped at the two's conversation as he spoke up. "W-Well we're just glad you weren't hurt," Izuku told her with Ruby smiling at him in response. "My n-names Izuku Midoriya by the way,"
"And my name would be Jaune Arc," Jaune introduced himself with a little more flare then Izuku. "Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, ladies love it,"
"Do they?" Ruby asked skeptically while Izuku let out a small sigh.
"Just go with it," Izuku whispered to Ruby.
"They will!" Jaune nodded his head before looking down and his expression became a bit more bashful. "At least…I hope they will. My mom always says that…never mind,"
"Hehehe…" Ruby chuckled a bit awkwardly as she struggled to say something. She was always bad at small talk, so instead she just decided to bring out her big guns. Literally. "So, uh, I got this thing." Ruby then pulled out Crescent Rose and switch it into scythe mode so she could show it off to the boys.
"W-Woah!" Jaune flinched as Izuku starred at it with wide eyes. "I-Is that scythe?" He's never heard of someone using a scythe before. They were classified to be one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed and incredibly hard to learn how to use.
"No way!" Meanwhile Izuku's eyes started shining as he began inspecting the weapon from the base to the tip. "Is that a High-Caliber Sniper-Scythe?! That's so cool! I never thought I'd ever see one in person before!"
Ruby's face immediately broke out into a large smile as she rapidly nodded her head. "Yeah! It is!" Oh this was good, another weapon nut like herself! This was perfect! "I built it myself! I went to Signal and just knew what I wanted to do and then ta-da! My precious baby was born!"
"Wow! That's so cool!" Izuku grinned as he and Ruby looked each other in the eye as they started to geek out. "Most people think something like that's too dangerous to use properly but they don't even look at all the mobility advantages it can give you!"
"Ugh, yeah that's what I keep telling people!" Ruby Rose squealed out as Jaune just looked between the two of them with utter confusion on his face. "Most people say that the recoil is too much, but you can use it help zip you around the battlefield and get the drop on your opponent!"
"Plus adding to dust into things can produce all sorts of different effects that could affect the battlefield!" Izuku brought up with Ruby nodding at super speeds. "Like with ice dust you could cover the ground with ice and make it harder for other people to move around and-"
"Um, guys," Jaune spoke up as he rose a finger up to get their attention. "Guy who doesn't speak weapon right here,"
"O-Oh right…" Izuku sweat dropped as he gave his friend an awkward smile. "S-Sorry Jaune,"
"Y-Yeah, my bad," Ruby scratched the back of her head sheepishly, a blush of embarrassment forming on his face. "Guess we gotta little carried away, I'm just a bit of a weapon enthusiast. So what do you two got?"
"Oh, uh, I-I have this," Izuku then pulled out his katana and showed it to Ruby, the caped girl grinning as she looked over it. "It's a katana that can morph into a sub-machine gun. I wanted something light and decent at close and long range. Kind of a jack of all trait's kind of weapon,"
"Oooooo, not bad," Ruby commented as she felt the blade of the weapon. "Strong and light, and the sub-machine gun is a classic, can't go wrong with it,"
Izuku nodded a bit as he sheathed it. "Due to my semblance I decided to keep it simple," Izuku then looked at Ruby's scythe again, completely in awe of its design. "I didn't design it myself though like yours, that scythe really is cool!"
"Hehe, thanks but your weapon is cool too," Ruby smiled at Izuku before turning to Jaune. "So what do you have Jaune?"
"O-Oh, well I got this sword," Jaune then pulled out his sword and showed it off to Ruby. "And I got this shield too,"
"So that do they do?" Ruby asked as she reached out for the shield and pressed the button that retracted the shield. This caused the shield to stumble out of Jaune's hand and he struggled to catch it with the shield constantly expanding and retracting until it fell on the ground. "O-Oops, sorry."
"I-I-It's ok," Jaune stuttered as he picked up the shield again and retracted his shield again and sheathed it. "T-The shield gets smaller so when I get tired of carrying it I can just…put it away?"
"But…it still weighs the same," Izuku pointed out making Jaune lower his head.
"He's right it does…" Jaune sighed out. "I got it from my father, my great-great grandfather used it to fight in the war,"
"Oh so it's like a family heirloom then?" Ruby asked as she looked over the sword in his hand and gave Jaune a genuine smile. "Well that's pretty cool! Not a lot of people have an appreciate for the classics,"
"Y-Yeah…the classics…" Jaune looked over his sword and couldn't help but just wish it was…different. He was in a school with people that had all kinds of weapons probably just as cool as Ruby's and Izuku's and here he was with just the most basic of basic weapons. A sword and a shield with nothing special.
"So hey," Ruby spoke up again as the three started walking forward again. "Why'd you two decide to help me back there?"
"Well we heard the explosion and just wanted to make sure everything was ok," Izuku told Ruby his reason. It was simply the right thing to do. "Were future Huntsman so we're supposed to help people and keep them safe,"
Jaune nodded in agreement. "Yep, couldn't just leave ya hanging back there," Jaune told her as Ruby smiled at the two boys. "Like my mom says strangers are just friends you haven't met yet."
"Well I really appreciate it," Ruby told them before looking around a bit. "Hey where are we going?"
"Oh we were just following you," Jaune answered before all three of them realized they were lost. "Oh boy…"
"Hey, what are you kids doing over here?" Suddenly a new voice spoke up, sounding like it came from an adult man. Look forward, the three saw a man that resembled a skeleton more so than a person. He had sharp, angular features and long limbs, his neck long and his eyebrows absent and his eyes sunken with visible blue pupils as well as dark blond hair that was messy and had two long bangs on each side of his face. He was also wearing a yellow suit that looked way to big for him.
"O-Oh, sorry sir," Izuku was the first to speak up and apologized, meanwhile Ruby and Jaune looked a bit creeped out by the man and his appearance. "We were j-just looking for where the s-starting ceremony was gonna be held and got lost, t-that's all."
"I see," The skinny man nodded his head before pointing at a nearby pathway. "Just follow that path until you see a large statue, then the entrance to the school will be right in front of you,"
"Thank you so much sir!" Ruby said before she started running in that direction. "Come on guys! Before we're late!"
And so, the skinny man watched as the three ran off, hoping they would still make it in time. "So those are some of the first years huh?" The man said as he put a hand to his chin. "Very interesting,"
Thankfully the mans direction were right and three were able to make it into the school where a crowd of all the first years were gathered up, thankfully it seems the ceremony didn't start yet. "Hey Ruby!" Amongst the crowd, the three saw the blond girl from the air ship waving at Ruby. "I saved you a spot!"
"Oh, that's my sister Yang," Ruby told the two boys as she headed out to meet her sister. "I gotta go meet up with her, I'll see ya guys later!"
"See ya," Izuku gave her a smile as Ruby left.
"Hey wait!" Jaune called out to her but side as Ruby escaped into the crowd. "Great. Now where are we gonna find a cute quirky girl to talk to?"
"Are my ears burning~?"
"Huh?" Izuku let out as he started looking around.
"Who said that?" Jaune asked.
"Helloooo~!" Suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around them and pulled them close. The owner of the arms being a girl with pink messy hair, tan skin, and yellow eyes. She gave both the boys a grin with an arm around their necks. "Couldn't help but overhear ya looking for a quirky girl to keep ya company?"
"Wow that's some good eavesdropping," Jaune commented before giving the girl a nod. "But yep that's us,"
"Y-Y-Y-Yeah…" Izuku heavily stuttered with a bright red face. This girl was pulling them so close to her. "T-T-That's u-us a-alright!"
"Good to hear!" The girl grinned as she released them and gave the boys a friendly wave. "I've been trying to find someone to hang out with since I got here! Names Mina Ashido!"
"Names Jaune Arc," Jaune introduced himself with a smirk. "Short, sweet, and rolls off the tongue, I'm sure you'll remember it,"
"I-Izuku M-M-Midoriya…" Izuku was still a blushing mess as he introduced himself.
"Well it's nice to meet you two!" Mina enthusiastically told them before grabbing their hands, causing Izuku to heat up even more, and started dragging them. "Come on! I know the perfect spot where we can watch the ceremony!"
"O-Ok!" Jaune let out…missing a tall green eyed red headed girl looking at him through the crowd.
Over with Ruby, she had made it to where her sister Yang was with the blond grinning at her and Ruby narrowing her eyes at the older girl. "How's your first day going little sister?" Yang asked with crossed arms, thinking her plan on leaving Ruby so she could make some friends was working since she was hanging out with those two boys.
"You mean since you ditched me and I exploded?" Ruby explained the first thing that happened since Yang left her. Yeah it was nice meaning Jaune and Izuku but still!
"Yikes! Meltdown already?" Yang put on a teasing grin, thinking that Ruby was over overexaggerating a little bit.
"No! I literally exploded a hole in front of the school!" Ruby only grew more irritated with her sister as she tried to properly explain what happened. "And there was some fire, and I think some ice...?"
"Are you being sarcastic?" Yang smiled broadly, only further only her little sister.
"I wish!" Ruby scoffed. "I tripped over some crabby girl's luggage, and then she yelled at me, and then I sneezed, and then I exploded, and then she yelled at me again, and I felt really, really bad, and I just wanted her to stop yelling at me!"
"You!"
Ruby immediately recognized the voice and jumped into her sisters' arms. "Oh, Oum, it's happening again!"
Standing right in front of the two sisters was the crummy girl Ruby talked about herself. "You're lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff!" The crummy girl was a bit on the short side at four foot nine, the heels she was wearing making her seem five foot three, and had pale skin with pale blue eyes and long pure white hair that was pulled into an off-center ponytail on the right side of her head. One defining trait she had was a scar running vertically through her left eye.
She wore a thigh-length strapless dress with a faint color gradation from white to pale blue at the hem. A small piece of black lace sits in the front of her neckline and the hem of the dress is scalloped and stitched to resemble snowflakes, with layers of white tulle under the skirt. Over this, she wears a bell-sleeved bolero with the same color gradation as her dress from shoulder to wrist, lined in red and with a ruffled collar.
This girl was none other than Weiss Schnee, part of the highly renowned Schnee family and heiress to the Schnee Dust Company.
"Oh my Oum, you really exploded." Yang deadpanned at Ruby, now realizing she was actually serious about literally exploding outside.
"It was an accident," Ruby told her sister before getting out of her arms and facing Weiss. "It was just an accident!" But Weiss didn't respond and simply held a pamphlet labeled Dust for Dummies in front of Ruby's face. "What's this?"
"The Schnee Dust Company is not responsible for any injuries or damages sustained while operating a Schnee Dust Company product. Although not mandatory, the Schnee Family highly encourages their customers to read and familiarize themselves with this easy-to-follow guide to Dust applications and practices in the field." Weiss said in practically one breath. Though Ruby hardly understood any of it as the words seem to just get jumbled up in her head and left the scythe user confused. Weiss saw this and just narrowed her eyes at Ruby. "You really wanna start making things up to me?"
"Absolutely…" Ruby nodded with a frown.
Weiss then shoved the pamphlet into Ruby's arms. "Read this and don't ever speak to me again." Weiss was then about to walk away but was stopped as Yang spoke up.
"Look, uh, it sounds like you two just got off on the wrong foot." Yang tried to play peacemaker. She didn't want one crummy encounter to ruin her sisters first day at Beacon so, being the good big sister she was, she tried to make things right between the two. "Why don't you start over and try to be friends, okay?"
"Yeah! Great idea sis!" Ruby smiled and put away the pamphlet and held her hand out to Weiss, hoping to start things over. "Hello, Weiss! I'm Ruby! Wanna hang out? We can go shopping for school supplies!"
"Yeah!" Weiss immediately responded with incredibly sarcastic enthusiasm. And we can paint our nails and try on clothes and talk about cute boys, like tall, blond, and scraggly and his friend plain face over there!" Weiss pointed to Jaune and Izuku through the crowd. "Ow!"
And suddenly a small rock was thrown at her head. "Screw you ice queen!" The voice of Mina shouted at her, Weiss letting out an annoying growl in response.
"Wow really?!" Ruby wasn't the best at detecting sarcasm.
"…No." Weiss glared harshly at her, making Ruby squeak and step back at Yang glared at the Schnee.
"Excuse me!" Sound a loud firm voice got the threes attention as they saw someone approaching them. Walking up to them with a stern look on his face was a boy their age standing exactly at 6 foot tall. He was a muscular young man with a wide frame. He has short dark blue hair, flattened neatly down and parted on the right side of his head, a small patch completely shaved near the base of his head, and rather square eyes which match the notably pointed shape of his jaw. He had a pair of rectangular glasses on and wore a white shirt with a pocket protector and blue jeans and black shoes. His cloths were perfectly kept and he had a professional aura around him. "You three are making quite the ruckus you know. This is supposed to be a ceremony welcoming us into our first year of Beacon, not a party!"
"Wow, relax dude," Yang told the taller teen while raising her hands up. Yang knew about these type of guys. Always a stick up their ass and never knows when to have fun. "We're not hurting anyone. Besides Ruby."
"It's not funny Yang!" Ruby stomped her foot as she glared at her sister.
"Still, I suggest you take this seriously!" The tall boy told them as he grossed his arms and looked all of them in the air. "If you're really aiming to be apart of this school, then you can't afford to just mess around!"
"Finally," Weiss let out a pleased sigh as she gestured to the glass's wearer. Someone taking all of this seriously was a nice breath of fresh air compared to everyone else Weiss has met today. "Someone with common sense,"
Yang simply rolled her eyes at this. "Ugh, why are there so many sticks in the mud here?"
Unknown to Yang, someone nearby in the crowd was simply bobbing their head to the music coming from the headphones he was wearing. He was about five foot eight and had short gold hair, parted to the right with a black lightning-shaped streak on the left of his side fringe, which is angled so that it partially obscures his left eye. He wore a plain white shirt, over which he wears an open black jacket with a white lightning pattern across his back, and matching pants with two lines running down his legs and a white belt with a few pouches on it. He didn't have a worry in the world as he simply vibed to the music.
Suddenly getting everyone's attention, other than the boy with headphones, was the sound of a microphone reading. Looking to the stage they saw Ozpin himself in front of the microphone and standing to the side was Glynda and Shota with the black-haired man's eyes now exposed and appearing tired and a bit bloodshot. "I'll…keep this brief." Ozpin told everyone with a simple tone. "You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step." And as soon as Ozpin finished he and Shota left the stage as Glynda walked up to the microphone.
"You will gather in the ballroom tonight," Glynda informed all the new students. "Tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed."
And then Glynda left too, leaving all the students to take in and try and make sense of Ozpin's words. "He seemed kind of…off." Yang scratched her head in confusion. Ozpin just gave her this…strange feeling. It was hard to explain and a bit unnerving.
"It's almost like he wasn't even there." Ruby thought back to her first-time meeting Ozpin and this felt widely different to then. Almost like it was a completely different person. Almost felt like Ozpin was a ghost.
Just then Jaune stepped up to the three from the side and looked at Weiss, pointing to his hair. "I'm a natural blond, you know!" Jaune told her, Weiss putting a hand to her face in response.
"Alright lover boy that's enough." Suddenly Mina came in and dragged Jaune away towards her and Izuku, the three then heading to where their luggage was taken together. "Man, that Ozpin guy was pretty blunt huh?"
"Yeah, just straight to the mount," Jaune replied nervous. Ozpin's presence was just…overwhelming. It felt almost like he was deciding their fate or something. "No very motivational I'd say."
"I-I don't know, it felt like there was a bit more to his words then he let on…" Izuku put a hand to his chin as he thought hard about the words the headmaster of the school left them with. "It'spossiblehemeanttoshoothigherthenwewereplanningsincehetoldustheschoolwillonlytakeussofarsodoesmeanwehavetofigureoutourtruepotentialonourownormaybeitjustmeans-"
Izuku then stopped walking as he got into one of his muttering sprees. Jaune and Mina simply watched with the latter blinking at him and giving him a strange look. "Is he…ok?" Mina asked with a raised brow and not sure if Izuku's mind was broken or not. "Can't even understand what he's saying."
"Oh don't worry it happens all the time," Jaune reassured Mina before snapping his fingers in front of Izuku. "Hey! Remnant to Izuku!"
"H-Huh?" Izuku was brought out of his muttering spree. He immediately blushed in embarrassment and started scratching the back of his head. "S-Sorry about that, guess I-I'm just o-over thinking things,"
"Heheh, oh it's fine," Mina giggled a bit as she pointed her thumb in a different direction. "Come on, let's get our stuff and set up for the night. It's slumber party time!"
THAT NIGHT
Night had fallen on the city of Vale and Beacon Academy. The broken moon rose up high in the sky as all the first-year students were all gathered up together in the ballroom, everyone in some form of sleep wear with sleeping bags scattered all over. Currently Jaune and Mina were together sitting on their sleeping bags. Mina's sleepwear consisted of a yellow tank top and pink pajama pants while Jaune…had footie pajamas. "Pffft…Jaune…" Mina covered her mouth with her hand to keep herself from laughing as she pointed to Jaune's sleepwear. "What the heck…"
"W-What? W-What's wrong with them?" Jaune said as he gestured to his pajamas. He was pretty much the only person in the entire academy wearing them with all the other boys just sleeping in their underwear or wearing sleep shirts and shorts. "My sister made them for me!"
"Hehehe, aaaaww that's cute." Mina giggled a bit as Jaune blushed sheepishly and looked down. Mina then looked forward and saw Izuku finally arriving while carrying his bag in one hand and his sleeping bag in the other. "Hey Izuku! Over here!"
"O-Oh! Hey guys!" Izuku immediately started heading in their direction and threw down his sleeping bag next to Jaune. "Sorry I-I took so l-long I-I had a problem finding m-my bag. Think they misplaced it or something," Izuku then proceeded to throw his bag on the ground and-
"Ow!"
Suddenly all three of their eyes shot towards Izuku's bag. "Um…did your bag just say ow?" Jaune asked as he pointed to the bag only to flinch as the bag started moving around. Something was squirming around inside. "Ah! It's moving!"
"Think a mouse snuck inside or something?" Mina asked Izuku while slowing inching away from the bag.
"M-Maybe…" Izuku gulped nervously a bit. He wasn't exactly afraid of mice, but it's possible that some of his cloths were chewed up now. "Guess we'll see…" Izuku then slowly moved his hand to the zipper and started to open up the bag to find out what was inside.
"AIR!" Suddenly shooting out of the bag as soon as it was open…was Izuku's little sister Eri.
"H-Huh!?" Both Izuku and Jaune gasped out in unison. "Eri?!"
Eri took a few deep breaths, happy to finally get some fresh air for the first time today since this morning. She made sure the bag was just a little bit open so that way she wouldn't suffocate…but the trip was still unpleasant. Especially with all the other luggage behind jumped around with some landing on her. "H-Hi big brother..." Eri nervously waved to Izuku before turning to Jaune. "Hi u-uncle Jaune…"
"W-What are you doing here?" Izuku asked as she lifted Eri out of his bag and set her on the floor.
"EEEEEEEEE!" Suddenly a loud squealing sound was heard that made Izuku, Jaune, and Eri flinched as suddenly a tan pair of arms scooped up on the little girl. "SHE'S SO CUTE!" Before she even knew it, Eri was being snuggled by Mina with the pink haired girl pressing her cheek against Eri's own. "Now who's this adorable little stowaway?"
"U-U-Um, W-Well that would b-be my little sister Eri," Izuku awkwardly introduced Mina to his little sister. "Who apparently sneaked away in my luggage…"
"Aaaawww, well Eri I'm Mina!" Mina enthusiastically introduced herself to the five-year-old in her arms. "Now what's an adorable little girl like you doing here?"
"That's what we would like to know," Jaune spoke up as both he and Izuku looked down at Eri, Izuku's arms crossed and Jaune's on his hips. "Eri what are you doing here? Why did you sneak inside of Izuku's bag?"
"I…I didn't want to be away from Izuku…" Eri quietly answered as she looked down. She just didn't want to live without Izuku. She loved mama Inko but…Izuku…she needed him. "I-I'm sorry…"
Izuku let out a long sigh as he took Eri from Mina and hugged her. "It's ok Eri," Izuku softly told her as he softly stroked her hair. "I'm not mad, I'm glad to see you,"
"Aaaww, she just didn't wanna be away from her big brother." Mina cooed, putting her hands to her cheeks as well as snapping a quick picture with her scroll. "You can't be mad at that."
"Yeah but Aunt Inko is probably worried sick by now…" Jaune scratched the back of his head nervously before realizing another thing. "Oh boy…and we're probably gonna be in trouble with Ozpin when he finds out…"
"I'm sorry…" Eri silently apologized while looking down.
"It's…It's ok Eri," Izuku reassured his sister as he placed her back down on the ground. Mina quickly scooping up Eri in her arms once more. "Look…I'll deal with it. I'll text mom that's she with us and I'll explain things to Ozpin tomorrow, I'm sure he can set up something to have Eri sent back,"
"…" Eri was silent as she simply leaned onto Mina.
"Excuse me,"
"AH!" Everyone whelped out as someone suddenly spoke up from out of nowhere.
"You're being awfully loud," The voice was calm and monotonous. Turning to the person speaking, they saw a Faunus whose head resembled a bird with red eyes in front of them. "Some people are trying to sleep,"
"Oh, u-uh sorry about that…" Jaune quickly apologized, flinching a bit as he looked into the Faunus eyes. This person seemed so…serious.
"Yeah our bad," Main sheepishly grinned as she put our hands together. "We're just having a bit of a situation,"
"M-My sister k-kinda snuck i-inside my luggage," Izuku explained as he gestured to Eri. The Faunus looked down at Eri and it seemed his eyebrow rose up a tiny bit, Eri flinching a bit as he starred at her. "Were gonna get it handled with Ozpin tomorrow. Sorry again, I promise we'll be quiet,"
"I see," The Faunus nodded his head, satisfied with what he heard. "I suppose you couldn't have prepared for that, just be sure to get some rest so you're ready for tomorrow."
"W-We will," Izuku and the others nodded their head. "You have a good night," The bird-headed Faunus nodded his head before turning around and heading back to where he was sleeping.
"Geez…" Jaune let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding as the guy left. "Did he seem…intensely serious to you guys too?"
"Y-Yeah…" Izuku sweat dropped as he nodded his head, Mina and Eri also agreeing. "But he's right, come on. We should get some rest so we're ready for orientation."
"Yeah I guess so…" Mina grumbled a bit, wanting to stay up longer to talk. But it couldn't be helped she supposed. "Come on Eri, you're sleeping with me tonight!"
"O-Ok." Eri simply went along with it as Mina dragged her into the pink and black sleeping bag.
Jaune then let out a yawn as he and Izuku got into their respective sleeping bags and began to rest. "Good night you guys…" Jaune said as they all prepared to get as much rest as possible for tomorrow.
And currently in another part of the ballroom…
"Oh, not you again!"
"Shh! Guys, she's right! People are trying to sleep!"
"Oh, now you're on my side!?"
"I was always on your side!"
"Yeah, what's your problem with my sister? She's only trying to be nice!"
"She's a hazard to my health!"
"Tch, idiots…" On the opposite end of the ballroom, Katsuki managed to find a spot away from most people to rest. He was simply scrolling through things on his scroll until he was ready for bed. But as he was doing this he heard some yelling form nearby and looked to see Ruby and Yang in front of some black-haired girl with a bow as well as Weiss with the former two in a bit of an argument with the latter.
'They hardly look like much,' Katsuki judged mentally as his eyes briefly scanned all over the room getting a good look of just about everyone and so far…no one really impressed him. 'No way they could stand up to me,' From what Katsuki could see, he was easily the strongest person in the entire room. Sure some people looked pretty tough but he could tell that they were truly just a bunch of extras. 'Can't wait to blow ahead of all of em!'
"Hey man," Suddenly a voice spoke up to Katsuki. Looking up, Katsuki saw a boy grinning down at him. He was about five foot eight and had spiky red hair and red eyes. His sleep wear consisted of a white t-shirt with the word Manly on it and some red sleeping shorts. "This spot taken?"
"Tch," Katsuki simply gave the guy a glare before going back to his scroll. "What's it to you?"
"I'll take that as a no," The guy simply grinned as he set down his red sleeping bag next to Katsuki and sat down next to him. "Nice to meet ya man,"
"Hey! I didn't say you could sit there!" Katsuki immediately snapped at him with rage burning in his eyes in an instant. "Get lost!"
"Hey come on man, I'm just getting ready to hit the hay no big deal," The guy wasn't at all bothered by Katsuki's behavior as he simply crossed his arms behind his head and leaned against the wall. "Names Eijiro Kirishima," Katsuki simply let out an irritated grunt as he turned away from Eijiro. "At least give me your name man,"
"Ugh fine! It's Katsuki Bakugo!" Katsuki snapped at Eijiro before turning away again. "Now shut up already!"
"Nice to meet you too," Eijiro simply chuckled before looking out one of the windows of the ballroom and looked at all the stars that filled the sky's as well as the large broken moon. "Man, hard to believe we're finally here huh? Feels almost like a dream,"
"Speak for yourself," Katsuki's tone was now calmer, at least when it came to Katsuki, as he looked at his scroll and scrolled through different articles. Articles revolving around All Might. "I knew I'd make it here, and I'm gonna show everyone why I'm the best and strongest student here!"
"Ah bit of a big shot huh? Well hey I'm rooting for ya man," Eijiro told him with a thumbs up, Katsuki only clicking his tongue in response. Eijiro then let out a yawn as he started to crawl inside his sleeping bag. "Welp, I'm gonna catch a few Z's. Night Katsuki,"
"Yeah whatever," Katsuki grumbled before yawning himself. He cursed a bit and blamed Eijiro for making him yawn but eventually agreed that hitting the way was a good idea. So he closed up his scroll and went inside his sleeping bag and headed to bed, getting the rest he needed to crush everyone tomorrow.
THE NEXT MORNING
Somewhere in the ball room, sleeping inside of a dark green sleeping bag was a young man with long black hair that ends midway down his back with a magenta streak on the left side of his hair. He was sleeping soundly until…
"Waaaaaake up, lazy butt!" Getting right in his face and waking the boy up was a girl with air-skin, orange hair, and aqua eyes. The boy let out a sigh as he rubbed his eyes as the girl started bouncing around him, showing immense amounts of energy inside her. "It's morning! It's morning! It's morning! It's morning!"
A little later the two were now in a bathroom area with the boy brushing his teeth as the girl stood behind him and talked…a lot. "I can't believe we've been at Beacon for a full twenty-four hours now Ren!" She revealed the boy's name. "Not that I thought we'd get kicked out or anything, I mean, you're the perfect student and I'm... well, I'm me! But it's just crazy, you know?"
They returned to the ballroom, now wearing their normal cloths. Ren was now wearing a dark green, diagonally buttoned, long-sleeved tailcoat that is red on the inside, with black and gold trimming and pink cuffs. The trimming goes down the right side of his torso and forms a black collar. Along with this, he wears a black, long-sleeved shirt beneath the suit and light-tan pants with black shoes. He also tied his hair back in a low ponytail.
As for the girl she was now wearing a collared black sleeveless vest, with a blue central front section with red accents, her vest has her emblem, on the back. Under the vest, she wears a white sleeveless t-shirt with a heart-shaped cutout above her breast line in the center accompanied with a pair of white detached sleeves on each arm, and a pair of light pink fingerless gloves. She sports a short pink skirt with a single white layer under it. Her white ankle boots sport pink soles with part of her emblem, the lightning bolt, on them and low heels with pink laces, the tops are folded over revealing the pink lining. She also wears a silver armor piece that wraps around waist, under her breasts and around the back on her neck with metal connecting each piece together at the front.
"We've been friends for soooooooo long! What are the odds we'd still be together? Well, not 'together-together...' Not that I'm not saying that you're not handsome; you are handsome, but that'd just be weird, right?" The girl talked on as Ren readied himself for the day.
The two now seemed to be in cafeteria area, the girl continuing to talk with a whole pancake in her mouth. "Right! What was I thinking? But still, I hope we end up on the same team together!" The girl finally swallowed her food before going on, "Oohhhh! We should come up with some sort of plan, to make sure we end up on the same team together! What if we bribe the headmaster? No, that won't work. He has the school."
They finally reached a locker room, their last stop for the day before initiation. Currently Ren was loading up his weapons which were a pair of green, fully automatic pistols with sickle-like blades attached vertically under the barrels. Ren's weapon being known to him as StormFlower. Meanwhile the girl wielded a large metal hammer that doubled as a grenade launcher known as Magnhild.
"I know! We'll have some sort of signal! Like a distress signal!" The girl planned for how she and Ren could be on the same team. "A secret signal so we can find each other in the forest! Can you imitate a sloth?"
"Nora?" At long last Ren finally responded, speaking in a monotone voice.
"Yes Ren?" Nora smiled at him sweetly.
Ren then sheathed his weapons into his sleeves and gave Nora a smile. "I don't think sloths make a lot of noise."
Nora was silent as she thought about it for a moment before breaking out in a large grin. "That's why it's perfect!" She stated excitedly. "No one will suspect we're working together!"
"Come on Nora," Ren said as he closed his locker and began walking off, "Let's go,"
"Not 'together-together'…" Nora giggled a bit as she followed Ren.
Meanwhile in another part of the locker room, Izuku and Mina were both getting ready with Eri sitting on a bench as she watched her big brother. "So Izuku ya ready for the trail of fire?" Mina grinned and spoke in an overly dramatic tone. She was now wearing her combat outfit consisting of a black sleeveless top that exposed a bit of her blue bra with pink leopard print on it, a light brown jacket with white fur trimmings. She had a belt that contained both ammunition as well as a few dust containers and a dark pink combat skirt. On her arms were brown gloves that stopped just under her elbow, the gloves also having white fur trimming. Strapped to the gloves was light armor plating that ended at her wrist with a little hook at the end of each one. Finally, she had armored boots that went up halfway to her knees and attached to the back of these boots were a pair of high-caliber handguns that were colored pink with blue highlights with the handles on them resembling the head of a xenomorph. Her weapons were known as the Alien Slayers.
"Well as ready as I'll ever be," Izuku chuckled nervously as he wiped his katana with a clean rag, making sure it was nice and ready for whatever may await them during initiation. "Hey did you see where Jaune went?"
"I think he said something about not being able to find his locker?" Mina said as she tried to remember what Jaune said earlier when they went into the locker room. "Eh I'm sure it'll be fine."
Izuku just nodded Mina before turning to Eri, "Alright Eri, I texted mom last night that you're with us, she was worried sick you know," Izuku told his little sister who lowered her head in response, feeling guilty about making Inko worry. "So here's what's gonna happen. I'm gonna see if Ozpin or one of the other teachers will watch you while we go through initiation, and when it's over we're gonna see if we can find a way to send you home, ok?"
"Ok…" Eri simply nodded.
"I'm sorry Eri, but it was nice to get to meet you," Mina smiled sympathetically at the girl as she patted her head. "Everything will be ok."
In another part of the locker room we can see the ice queen known as Weiss start up a conversation with the girl who was looking at Jaune the other day during the opening ceremony. She had a tall and muscular physic and wore a brown over bust corset with a vertical strip of lighter brown in the center as well as an elastic, black, A-line mini skirt and brown opera-length gloves on both arms. She wore a red ankle-length sash that wrapped around her skirt. For accessories she had a small circular bronze plate on her right hip opposite two pouches with both connected to a belt. The plate bore her emblem. Underneath her hair, she had brown circlet adorned with a pair of small, green, teardrop-shaped emeralds on thin chains. She also sported a large bronze gorget around her neck and a bronze bracelet on the upper half of her left arm.
"So, Pyrrha, have you given any thought to whose team you'd like to be on?" Weiss asked Pyrrha in an uncharacteristically eager tone. "I'm sure everyone must be eager to unite with such a strong, well-known individual such as yourself!"
"Hmm... I'm not quite sure." Pyrrha said as she looked away from Weiss a bit. She could already tell what Weiss was implying was wanted to stay polite. "I was planning on letting the chips fall where they may."
"Well...I was thinking maybe we could be on a team together." Weiss suggested in a polite manner.
"Well, that sounds grand!" Despite her words, one could detect a bit of unsureness in her tone.
"Great!" Weiss cheered a bit before turning around and putting on a bit of maniacal smile. 'This will be perfect! The smartest girl in class combined with the strongest girl in class! Together we will be unstoppable! I can see it now! We'll be popular! We'll be celebrities! We'll get perfect grades! Nothing can come between us now!'
"You know what else is great?" Suddenly snapping Weiss out of her thoughts as Jaune who had suddenly appeared and spoke to her in a suave tone. "Me. Jaune Arc. Nice to meet you."
Weiss let out an irritated sigh as the blond boy from earlier approached her once more. "You again?"
Sudden Pyrrha zoom right next to Weiss and gave Jaune a rather enthusiastic wave. "Nice to meet you Jaune!" She told him eagerly.
"Yeah, yeah," But apparently Jaune wasn't to be interested in the red head as he shoved her aside and focused on Weiss. "So, Weiss, couldn't help but overhear your fondness of me the other day."
"Oh you have got to be kidding me!"
And Jaune wasn't the only one trying to hit on someone in the locker room. Over by where Yang and Ruby were, the guy with the lightning streak in hair saw Yang as he was passing by. Looking over the blond, he decided to put on the charm and started walking up to her. The only thing about his outfit was that a sheath was strapped to his back containing a long sword with a blade that resembled a lighting bolt known as Chargebolt. "Hey there beautiful." The guy greeted, getting both girls attention as they turned to him. "Names Denki Kaminari and I couldn't help but notice ya there~"
"Uh, yeah…" Yang and Ruby immediately deadpanned at him. Great, one of those guys. "Look, we're trying to get ready here so if ya don't mind-"
"Yeah, yeah, I get that," Denki told her as he raised up his hands. "I just thought I'd offer you to join my team is all. I think we'd go pretty well together if ya know what I mean~"
"Uh, Yang-" Ruby was cut off as Yang rose a hand towards her, silently telling Ruby she'll handle it.
"Oh is that so~?" Yang spoke back in a flirty tone. "Well, how about you close your eyes and we can seal the deal then~"
"Oooo, I like where this is going~" Denki quickly got excited as he did what Yang told. Closing his eyes, he puckered up his lips and started to lean forward, expecting a kiss-
BAM!
And was meant with a punch right to the kisser launching him to the back of the locker room. "Ow!" Denki let out as he fell face first to the floor.
"Alright Ruby, let's go," Yang said nonchalantly as the sisters headed out.
"Ugh…you could have just said no…" Denki groaned as his aura quickly started healing the damage done to his face.
"Ok…no!" Yang told him before leaving the locker room.
"Oof, that's harsh." Watching the whole thing take place was Eijiro who was now decked out in his combat gear. He wore a long dark orange scarf with black streaks over it, a silver jacket that exposed his arms and body, a metallic backpack with multiple dust canisters sticking out of it. He had a brown belt with baggy black pants and dark red half cape with a ripped hem along with dark red boots and multiple thick rings going around his calves. On his arms were red gauntlets that reached to his elbows. They had silver highlights as well a small tubes to channel dust through them. His gauntlets went by the name Chivalrous Fist. "Need a hand man?"
"That would be nice…" Denki groaned a bit as he took the hand Eijiro offered him and managed to get back on his feet. As soon as he was up he looked forward and saw something that made him flinch a bit in surprise. "What the heck?! That guys dressed as a tank!"
"Who? Do you mean me?" It was the boy with the glasses that scolded Ruby, Weiss, and Yang the other day. His combat gear was certainly a sight to see. He was wearing full body armor over a black one-piece suit. His armor was a pale silver color and included a chest plate, a metal collar around his neck and another around his upper arm, and metal vambraces that extend past his elbows pointed at the ends. In his hands was a helmet that looked like it could cover his entire head its sharp bevor full of holes and its upper piece rounded over the head area with two larger holes on either side, two curved horns just behind and a single spike sticking out of the back of his head. On his feet he wears silver knee-high boots with gold accessories and built into both sides of them was a pair of rifles. Also attached to the wrist of his armor was a pair of tonfa's. The rifles were known as Valve Trains and the tonfa's were called the Pistons. "This is merely my combat gear,"
"Don't worry bout it man, it was a compliment." Eijiro stated as he looked over the armor. "No Grimm's gonna be able to touch you like that!"
"Well I wouldn't say that," The armor wearing teen explained. "While it can be defense, it's not built like normal armor. It's meant to cut down wind resistance so my semblance can be used at its fullest potential."
"Oh ok," Kirishima nodded in understanding. Must have some sort of speed semblance if that's the case. "Well hey, it's still pretty cool man. Names Eijiro Kirishima, nice to meet ya!"
"Denki Kaminari," Denki properly introduced himself.
"It's nice to meet you two, I'm Tenya Iida," Tenya sent them a smile before putting on his helmet and pointing, almost in a robotic motion, at the exit of the locker. "Let us go! We mustn't be late for orientation!"
"Hell yeah!" Kirishima grinned as he pumped up his fist and followed Tenya.
"H-Hey! Wait for me!" Denki called out to them as he followed right behind.
"Alright! All ready!" Going back to Mina and Izuku, the latter was holding his little sister hands with the former slamming her locker close. "Alright all we need to do is find Jaune…"
"Sounds like Pyrrha's on board for Team Jaune. Looks like there's only one spot left! Now, I'm not supposed to do this, but maybe I could pull some strings, find a place for you. What do you say?" Jaune offered to Weiss, still trying to work his magic on her.
"And I found him…" Mina deadpanned at the sight and she immediately went to go put a stop to the sad sight. "Ok Jaune you had your fun now it's time to go!" Mina grabbed Jaune's arm as she passed him and dragged him away.
"H-Hey!" Jaune tried to get away but Mina's grip was too tight.
"Oh thank goodness that's over…" Weiss sighed out as she rubbed her head.
"H-Hey," Suddenly Izuku walked up to Weiss, looking a bit nervous. "Look I-I'm sorry about him. He gets that way with pretty girls like you." Izuku apologized for Jaune's actions, but his words ended up making Weiss raise a brow. Izuku quickly realized this and his face exploded red. N-N-Not t-that I m-mean to s-s-say that! I-I mean, I-I'm not saying your n-not pretty, y-you are it's just-"
"Ok! Ok! I get it," Weiss but a stop to Izuku's randomly as she spoke up, making Izuku flinch and back up.
"S-Sorry…" Izuku muttered out as he walked away, taking Eri with him. "I-I'll just go…"
Heading out of the locker room, Izuku and Eri walked towards where initiation would be taking place. Beacon Cliff. The students that were outside were all lined up and standing on top of platforms next to the cliff side, and off to the side were the people Izuku was looking for. Ozpin along with Glynda, though Shota was absent for some reason. "Um, excuse me Professor Ozpin," Izuku spoke up to the headmaster, getting his and Glynda's attention.
"Yes, what is it young man?" Ozpin asked in a professional manner.
"W-Well, I have a bit of a s-situation on my hands," Izuku explained to him as he lightly tugged Eri's hand, gesturing her to come forward. Eri came out from behind Izuku's legs and revealed herself to Ozpin and Glynda with the former raising a brow slightly and Glynda's eyes widening a little bit. "S-See, my little sister Eri k-kind of snuck inside my luggage when I l-left since she didn't want to b-be away from me. S-So if it's not t-to much to ask could you two m-maybe…watch her for me while I'm doing my initiation and then afterwards we can send her back?"
Glynda looked to Ozpin, awaiting his response. Ozpin was silent for a few moments before letting out an amused chuckle and smiled a bit. "I don't think that should be too much of a problem," Ozpin assured Izuku, letting him breath a sigh of relief. "It makes sense why she did it, it's only natural that a sister would miss her big brother while he was away. I couldn't blame her for that,"
"T-Thank you so much sir!" Izuku bowed to the headmaster before kneeling down to be eye level with Eri. "Now Eri, you be good for Professor Ozpin and Mrs. Goodwitch, do whatever they tell you to do ok?"
"I will," Eri nodded her head before wrapping her arms around Izuku's neck for a hug. "Good luck big brother,"
"Thanks Eri," Izuku hugged her back and smiled. Meanwhile Ozpin looked at the sight with a smile and let out another small chuckle. "Thank you again sir, ma'am," Izuku told the two adults before joining the rest of the first years in the line they were in, getting on his own platform.
Soon enough, all the first years were gathered up at the cliff. Once everything was ready, Ozpin and Glynda walked up to the students with Eri staying behind Ozpin's legs. "For years, you have trained to become warriors," Ozpin said to all the potential new students. It all came down to if they could get through this test if they would truly be apart of Beacon. "And today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest."
"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of 'teams." Glynda spoke up as she brought out a scroll tablet. "Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates...today."
This reveal caused a few of the new students, especially Ruby, to be taken back a bit in surprise. "These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon." Ozpin further explained. "So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well." Cue a nervous groan from Ruby as Ozpin went on. "That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years."
It was at this point that Ruby felt like her world was falling apart. "Whaaaat?!" Ruby let out in a horrified scream.
"See!" Nora turned to Ren with a grin on her face. "I told you~!"
"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest." Ozpin gave the instructions for the initiation as he pointed out to the forest on the bottom of the cliff. "You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die." Jaune and Izuku gulped nervously on this, but Izuku was quick to steal his nerves and put on a determined look. "You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"
"Yeah, um, sir?" Jaune rose up his hand, a question on his mind.
"Good!" Ozpin nodded his head, not acknowledging Jaune. "Now, take your positions."
Everyone was quick to get into position, ready to be launched into the Grimm infested forest. As Jaune tried to ask Ozpin his question, Izuku kept his eyes focused on the forest below and got ready for when he would be launched. 'Remember everything you learned…' Izuku took in a breath as he watched Ren, Nora, Tenya, and Eijiro were the first to be launched into the forest. 'Stay calm, focus, don't be afraid.' Yang, Ruby, and a black-haired girl were then launched into the forest. 'You can do this! Show you have what it takes to be a Huntsman!'
An explosion was heard as a figure was seen getting launched into the distance and much greater speeds then the other students so far. It didn't take a genius to figure out it was Katsuki.
"Hey!" Looking to his side, Izuku saw Mina giving him a cheerful smile. "Good luck out there!" And with that, Mina was launched into the forest.
"Ok…" Izuku breathed in and breathed out as he gripped his katana tightly. "Let's go!"
And with that, Izuku was launched right into the forest.
His journey at Beacon had truly begun.
And there we have it! The MHA characters that will be attention Beacon Academy are Izuku Midoriya, Mina Ashido, Fumikage Tokoyami, Shoto Todoroki, Tenya Iida, Eijiro Kirishima, Katsuki Bakugo, and Denki Kaminari.

"Teams"
