Chapter 4
Our parents left early to work, and Adam and I went to get breakfast at Starbucks. After we finsihed, Adam drove us to the Foundation, and he parked his black Ferrari in the parking lot.
"I wonder what's happening today," I said as we walked to the cafeteria.
"I hope it's something interesting, I can't stand boredom," Adam said, then gave me a sly look, "It's a miracle I can put up with you."
I rolled my eyes, "Et tu quoque, Adam. I can't put up with your craziness either."
We met our parents in the cafeteria, who informed us that they had a meeting with the "05-Council", as they were called.
"It'll be about an hour, but if you two can amuse yourselves while we're busy, it'll be shorter," Mom said.
"Alright, but tell Adam not to mess with SCP's," I said.
Adam looked at me with mock surprise, "How rude of you to suggest such a thing, dear sister?"
I laughed, "Don't get me started, dummy!"
Mom and Dad shook their heads, and left for the meeting.
I turned to Adam, "What do you want to do?"
Adam grinned, "I want to visit-"
"NO! I'm not responsible for your dead body, dumbass!" I snapped.
Adam laughed, "Says who?"
049 turned to 106, who had been waiting in his chamber, "Is everyone ready?"
"Yes, we're waiting for you, actually."
049 eyed the unconscious scientists and guards in the observation room, "079, where are the teenagers?"
"They're in the cafeteria, just like you planned," 079, the old AI, replied.
049 nodded, "Perfect. 079, you may start the breach."
Adam and I were playing Blackjack in the cafeteria with his card set when suddenly red lights began flashing and alarms went off.
"What the hell?" Adam shouted.
"THIS SITE IS EXPERIENCING MULTIPLE KETER AND EUCLID LEVEL CONTAINMENT BREACHES! PLEASE PROCEED TO THE NEAREST EXIT AND WAIT FOR FURTHER UPDATES!"
"Is this karma?" Adam screamed.
"Shut up, dumbass, they could hear us!" I whispered savagely. Not three seconds later did a man rise from a black puddle in the floor. He looked like someone dumbed a truckload of barbecue sauce on him.
"Who are you?" Adam demanded, moving in front of me.
"No time, you both need to get out of here!" He said, "Jump in, I'll get you both out!"
"Do you know where to go?" I asked, stepping forward.
He nodded, "Yes, hurry!"
I looked to Adam, and he nodded, "Let's go, then."
We both slid into the portal, unaware of SCP-106 stealing our phones from our back pockets.
"What number are you...sir?" I asked 106 as we walked in his pocket dimension.
"106," he replied, grinning at us over his shoulder.
Adam tensed next to me, "You mean...Radical Larry?"
106 smiled evilly at us. He snapped his fingers, and tendrils sprung from the ground, wrapping around our arms and chests and pulling us down to our knees.
"I'm sure you've heard of me, your parents are pretty well known in this hellhole," 106 said as we struggled to free ourselves, "We SCP's have a bone to pick with them, they're that annoying."
"Let. Us. Go," I demanded as the tendrils pulled me back so I was nearly parallel to the floor.
"Feisty, are we? I can see why 049 must've taken a liking to you, Hailey Baxter," 106 chuckled, combing his hand through my hair.
"049, the plague doctor?" I said, panic rising in my voice.
"I heard you met him, and that your brother Adam was a bit...disrespectful," 106 said, "He told me to teach you a lesson in manners, Adam. I hope you'll enjoy this as much as I will."
106 snapped his fingers again, and suddenly we were in a kind of throne room. I was still on my knees tied up, and Adam was standing in front of me. 106 was sitting on the throne, glaring down at Adam.
"Kneel," 106 ordered. Adam looked to me, fear in his eyes for the first time.
"Kneel, human boy!" 106 shouted, swiping his hand. A tendril whipped Adam's face, leaving a bloody gash mark and sending Adam to the floor.
"Adam!" I cried, trying to free myself.
"Kneel, boy!" 106 cried again. Another tendril whipped Adam's back three more times, leaving gashes seeing blood.
"Please stop, you'll kill him!" I cried, trying to rush forward but was pulled down by the tendrils around my arms.
"Tell your brother to kneel then, Hailey. Otherwise it's more pain for him," 106 replied flatly, staring mercilessly at Adam's groaning form before him.
"I'll take his place, just leave him alone!" I cried, tears streaming down my face.
106 knelt down in front of me, smiling at me, "We can't have that, 049 says you aren't to be harmed."
I snarled, "I don't care what he wants, he has no control over me or my brother!"
106 shook his head the way a father would at a child, "He will. For now, it's my turn to mess around with your brother for his rudeness." He raised his hand out, and Adam was lifted by tendrils, one at each limb. 106 spread his fingers, and Adam began to be stretched.
"GAH!" Adam screamed as he was pulled in four different directions.
"ADAM!" I shrieked as I could only watch him scream in pain, "PLEASE STOP, 106!"
106 sighed, "I can't kill him unfortunately, but we should get to 049's chamber as soon as possible."
I was released, and I rushed to Adam's side, who was laying on the ground bleeding from his face.
I glared at 106, who was watching the exchange, "You monster."
106 rolled his eyes and snapped his fingers again. We were at 049's chamber again, Adam cradled in my arms.
"Hailey," a voice said from behind me.
