After having another fight with Ron, she was done. She just couldn't take it anymore. Hermione went to a pub a few blocks away. she sat having a drink and thought "I'll have a couple then just go home and to bed. Tomorrow everything will be better, back to before."
After about three strong drinks of vodka, she felt someone sit beside her. She was sitting at the bar so she didn't think much about others sitting by her. That was till they talked. "I'll have what she's having and I will buy her another one."
She finished the drink in her hand and put the glass down. She looked over to see who it was that was buying her a drink. She really should have known by the voice, but after the drinks, she already had, had given it thought that she knew the voice. Sitting there was white-blonde hair, stormy grey eyes, 6'2 Slytherin sex god. Someone she had never given much thought to since Hogwarts. Draco Malfoy. "What the hell was he doing here, and in a muggle pub?" She thought.
"Hey, Granger." He said smirking at her. "What are you doing drinking the night away, alone in muggle London?"
Groaning, she took a sip of the drink he bought her and then said. "The question really is, what are you doing here Malfoy?"
Laughing he said. " I was looking for lay and thought it would be a good idea to come to muggle London, where no one knows me."Looking grossed out she turned back to her drink and gulped the rest down, and asked the bartender for another one. Till she heard more laughing beside her. Looking she could see he was almost doubled over from laughing so hard. "I was only joking Granger. I was in the neighbourhood. I'm looking for a new place to live. Do you live around her?" He asked as he finished off his drink.
"Malfoy call a realtor. I don't live around here I live quite a few blocks away, but even if I did I still wouldn't help." Downing her last drink, she decided it was time to leave. She grabbed her purse and got off her stool. She started to sway a bit, and Malfoy grabbed her elbow so she wouldn't fall on her ass.
"You can't go anywhere like this granger, you are pissed. Why don't you let me help you?"
"Shove off I'm fine." She removed his hand and walked out of the pub.
The bartender tapped Malfoy on the arm. "Your girlfriend didn't pay for her drinks." Malfoy just shook his head and said he would cover it. He also asked for a bottle of water. Once paying he left to find Hermione and hope he hadn't gotten too far. She was just standing outside looking through her purse.
"Well, it's good to see that you are smart enough to know not to apparate when drunk. It's also best to know you shouldn't be walking around this late at night and alone. " He said as he grabbed her elbow once more and started to walk down the sidewalk. With her not saying a word he got annoyed and asked. "So where are you going or did u want me to walk you home, or somewhere else?"
Annoyed she had to shove his hand off her elbow another time, she turned the corner and walked a bit till she saw a park and went to the bench and sat down. "Malfoy I don't really give a shit what you do, but I do not need your help. This isn't the first time I've been out drinking."
Sighing he gave her the bottle of water, opened it and gave it to her. "Here drink this up and when you do I'll get up and leave you be."
Grabbing the water she drank it. She took her time sipping it, as she looked around. "Why do you even care, why not just leave me alone?" As turned to look over at him.
"Well, it does not have anything to do with who you are. I would do the same for any woman who was at a pub by herself and then decided to run out on the bill. Try to walk home in the middle of the night again by herself. " He answered smirking at her.
Putting her face in her hands she sighed. "Shit I forgot to pay the bill. Now I'm going to have to walk all the way back. Just what I need tonight. Besides being stuck with you, who just won't get the hint and go away."
"Don't worry Granger I took care of it before I left." She opened her mouth to say something, but before she could get a word out. " Now why don't I walk you around the park a bit and hopefully that will help sober up." He jumped up and pulled her with him, and started to walk down the pathway.
Getting pulled around the park, Hermione couldn't stop thinking of why she was letting this all happen. She should just walk away and go home. It was what she need to do. She did have work tomorrow. Not that she really wanted to go. Being an Auror was fun, but not what she really wanted to do. She only joined because Ron asked her to, well practical begged her. She wanted to help people, She wanted to become a Mediwitch, and quit being an Auror. Well, that started the fighting tonight. She told Ron tonight that she just didn't want to be an Auror and wanted to go down another path. Well, he took the wrong way and thought she said he wasn't good enough to work with anymore. He went on to say that if she was to go off and be a Mediwitch then they would never see each other anymore. All she would end up doing was study and work. She did try to tell him that she would always make time for him and that what he was saying wouldn't happen, but he wouldn't listen. So after fighting with him for hours she just up and left. It wasn't the first fight they had, but it was the biggest. The fights they had always ended up with her leaving and going for a drink or two. The bar wasn't far away enough that she couldn't walk, but it was far that she knew that Ron wouldn't walk and find her. If he even would look for her.
"Knut for your thoughts?" Jumping a bit she took a look around and remembered where she was. "You want to talk about what you were thinking of. Does it have to do with why you were at the pub? Where are Pothead and Wesaelbee?"
She only sighed as an answer. She took a few more sips of her water and put it in her purse. "Malfoy, I"m going home. Bye." She just turned and walk away from him.
He ran after her and stopped her. "Look there is a pub at the hotel I'm staying at. Why don't you come with me and ill buy you another drink? After that ill make sure you get a cab back home."
It was a bad idea. Horrible. Really she shouldn't do it. "Fine ONE drink. Just one and that's it."
They walk to the road they were at. They walked about a block or so till they got to the ME London Hotel. It was beautiful. The lobby was breath taking. All done in blacks and whites. Hermione looked around, but couldn't find the bar. She turned to look at Malfoy, waiting for him to say he was joking. "Whers the pub?"
He grabbed her hand and walked her to the elevator, hitting the button. "Follow me ill show you." When the door opened he pulled her in and hit the button for the roof.
"Wait I'm not going up the roof. Nope, no way."
He just stood there and listen to her complain about going to the roof, and how she was scared of rights. When the doors opened, He just pulled her out and turned her so she could see. "This is the Radio Rooftop Bar. Nothing to be scared of. Come now, let's drink." HE pulled her to the bar and ordered a few drinks for them. Then he turned and found some seats for them. "So do you want to talk about what you were doing at the pub tonight?"
Slamming her drink back, and sighed. While she slowly sipped the second one, she told him what happened. "Then I just grabbed my jacket and purse and walked to the pub. Why do you even car Malfoy? I've asked you this already but you didn't really answer."
He just smirked at her again. "No one said I cared. I saw that you were there and your drink was almost done. So I thought id buy you another, but when you decided to leave, I could just let you walk home by yourself. No matter what you or anyone thinks I'm still a gentleman. Even if it is you. I have grown up some since school."
They sat there for a bit just sipping on their drinks. Draco ordered a few more drinks once the first two were gone. After a couple of rounds. Hermione decided she couldn't do this anymore. "Well as nice as this is I need to go."
"Sure let me just pay and I'll walk you home. " Before she could say no he walked off to the bar. He came back to her and said "Let's go." They got to the elevator and waited. Hermione started to sway again and leaned onto the wall by the doors. "You ok Granger? You don't look to well." Draco asked, coming closer to her.
"Well, I haven't eaten much today. Actually, I haven't eaten since lunchtime. Plus all the drinking I've done tonight. Normally if I go to the pub to drink ill order dinner too. The elevator showed up and they both got in. Hermione leaned against the sid and closed her eyes.
"My floor is one down, why don't we stop in and you can lay down and settle your stomach a bit. I'll order some food." Draco said as he hit the button for his floor. All Hermione could do was shrug her shoulders. She didn't think it would be the best time to say anything. Being on the elevator didn't help much.
The doors opened to a nice plain white door. Draco unlocked the door and took Hermione's elbow and pulled her in and over to the couch so she could lay down. After making sure she was ok, he went to the phone and ordered some food.
Hermione walked him walk around the penthouse, putting things away. Trying to tidy up a bit. "Well, I can see that you can live without your precious house-elves. How did you get so custom to being in the muggle world."
Draco sat in one of the armchairs that were facing the couch. "After my father was sent to Azkaban, Mother and I thought it would be nice to have change. She found a nice house not from here. Which is why I'm looking for a place. I don't want to live with her anymore and thought it would be good to finally be on my own."
Snorting at him, she turned onto her back. She closed her eyes and tried to relax. Hoping the gross feeling in her stomach would go away. A few minutes there was a knock on the door, and Draco go up to bring in the cart of food. Walking up to Hermione and poking her arm, He noticed that she had fallen asleep. He thought it wouldn't be the best to be drunk and sleep on the couch, but put a blanket over her. He went back out to the cart of food and put a spell on it all to keep it fresh in case she got up and wanted to eat. He went to the bathroom to have a shower, then climbed in beside her and went to sleep.
Around four in the morning, Hermione woke up. Still not feeling a hundred percent. She rubbed her eyes trying to figure out why she was on the couch. She got up and made her way to the bathroom. Got a hangover potion. Taking off her pants and bra, she left them on the floor in the bedroom and climbed into bed.
