It was a beautiful morning, the sun is shining in the village in Shizen. The parents go to work and the children go to the academy to become a guildmember. When one hits the age of 14 they will start their own adventure in a 4 man squad with a diamond rank leading them.
Today Hikari has a week off from the academy to train for the exams, the exams will be divided in three parts. Part 1, a writing test. Part 2, test of combat. Part 3, test of teamwork. Simple right?... ok enough narrating this is getting boring.

"huuuaaaaahh..." Hikari yawns as he wakes up, but still tired. "tomorrow is the day..." Hikari smiles to himself as the exams start next Monday and he prepared himself for that the whole week.
Hikari quickly refreshes himself and goes downstairs "morning O bāchan" Hikari's grandma turns around to see his grandson walk down the stairs "oh, good morning Hikari, going off to train again?"
"yep! can't lack behind the others" Hikari grabs a few pieces of toast "alright then boy, be sure to be back in time" His grandma replies with a kid voice waving bye "I will, cya ma" and with the Hikari left to the forest where he has been training for the past week... well years. He has been training in the forest and on the same spot for years as his dream was to become to grandmaster of the guild. The grandmasters will be named after the strongest guildmaster, right now the guildmaster is a Noivern named Kōmori. But before Hikari can even become the guild master he needs to become the guilds you'll have to become the strongest guild member and that, one calls the hardest challange.
Hikari was walking towards the training place somewhere in the woods. It's a place where he had trained himself for the past years.
-{Hikari's POV}-
for all the past years I've stuck with this particular training style. physical strength, flexibility and speed. As I child I've always loved speed and without a bloodline I need to find another way to be strong. So I chose to be a Jolteon to gain more speed and trained my physical strength so I could at least keep up with the others at the academy. physical strength. I punch the big boulders scattered around this forest, for speed I run for around 2 hours a day around this forest slowly increasing my ankle weights each week, after that I will run at full speed back home avoiding the trees and the other obstacles on the way... For how long have I done this?... well, probably over 4 years, I started this training when I was 10... After seeing all my classmates use their amazing bloodline abilities... somethings I kinda wish I had one too.
I was holding my stopwatch while I was running curious about for how long I had been running I quickly took a glance "... I've only been running for 1 hour? it only felt like 15 minutes..." I just shrugged it off and continue running... "maybe increasing my speed will tire me out a bit faster" and so I started to pick up a faster pace.
After a while of running I felt like checking the stopwatch again... "wait... it's been over 2 hours, must have ran too slow, I should run faster tomorrow" I quickly walk up to a tree and marked it with a symbol remarking a thunderbolt "there... I should be able to find this place again" I grab a compass out of my jacket pocket.
"hmm... the village it North, so that means my ankle weight should be from my village southwest, just gotta remember that" and with that Hikari start sprinting back home at full speed. With his quick reflexes he dodges varies of obstacle's.
Eventually he stopped running since he was out of the forest, he slowly walked out of the forest sneaking back into the village, which in he succeeds.
"phew..." I quickly sprinted in a dark alley to make sure that no one saw me, to my surprise I've almost been caught "eh? did you see something?" "no, I didn't, maybe you're just hallucinating" the guards says to each other. They both shrug it off and I'm on my way back home.
"yo" I startle a bit before turning around, luckily it was just my friend Kaen. "did I scare ya?" the Flareon asks "a little..." I scratch my back
"heh, snuck out to the forest again?" I nod "yeah, just some training" I start walking towards my home again and Kaen just follows.
"you know, by the effort you're putting into all this. There might actually be a high chance that you are going to pass the exam"
"you think so?" I still doubt myself
"most certainly, you outclass all our classmate's in speed and you're hand to hand combat is fighting type level"
"hm... never thought about that" I smile at him "thanks for having faith in me!"
"that's what friends are for" he pats me shoulder "now then, rest well, I'll see ya Monday"
I look Infront of me as I see that I've arrived home "thanks, see you Monday" we both wave at each other and I open the door to my home just to be greeted by my grandparents.
"Hello honey, how have been?" my grandma walks up to me, I give her a heartwarming smile "I'm doing fine ma, just a little bit of training" she sighs in relieve.
"go wash you're hands, dinner will be almost served" my grandma returns to the kitchen and I go to the bathroom to wash my hand... (or paws... oh forget it, you know what I mean)

I wake up with a big yawn... another day for training, just gotta slip through the guards again. Well after breakfast of course, I am not going to train with an empty stomach.
so I did what the most logical choice was in my life "Hey ma, what's for breakfast?"
"I made some eggs and toast, grab as many as you want" my ma answers and went back to knitting, I grab a toast and put an egg on top off it and start munching it down, not in the most efficient way but it will do, as I want to increase the difficulty by a lot. As today is the last day to train before the exams.
"Thanks for the food ma, I'll be off now!" I wave my grandma bye and I go past the guards to the forest once again... without being spotted because then I'd get in a lot of trouble.
And once again I start my training from punching boulders all the way to running around with ankle weights. I left home early today so that I could double up my training. After hours of running I decided it was finally time to head back home... But things didn't turn out so well.
"hey kid! what are you doing out here?" one of the guards shouted and the idiot I am, instead of having a friendly conversation I straight up started running. I turn around to quickly see that they are following me, I quickly ran into an alley way and by surprise... i couldn't see them anymore? "where?... are they infront of me?" I let the thought in my head as I kept running, but... I completely lost them.
"GOD DAMN... who *huff* is that... kid?" one of the guard asks as he was on the verge of falling on the ground out of exhaustion...
"Idk... but, we've been *huff* chasing him *puff* for... 30 minutes or so?" the second guard also very exhausted sits on the ground.
"wanna get a drink?"
...
"hell yeah, let's go"
-{Hikari's POV}-
"I... lost them? already... I thought they were fully trained" I just ignore it ad go inside my house. "Hey Ma, I'm back" I greet her as she stopped knitting to walk up to me "my boy? what happened to you're arm?" She says worried I quickly check both my arms as it turn out, my right arm had quite a cut.
"Oh, don't worry ma, this but a scratch... probably from running a bit too fast" I try to explain but I don't she believes me "you know very well to call for help if you see someone is being bullied" She scolds me, but I'll just have to go with it because she would be even more mad if I snuck out into the forest to train. "sorry ma, I will next time"
"promise?"
"promise"
"good, now go heal up you're wound before it gets infected" My grandma then goes back to knitting as I head towards the bathroom to wash the wound.
I stung quite a bit, but it wasn't too bad, I then patch it up with a bandage and head back to the living room where grandma was peacefully knitting a scarf. "Hikari?" I hear my name being shouted by my grandma "yea?" I reply
"could you please go and buy us some food? I don't feel like cooking today, my hand feel a bit sore" She asks, I nod "sure thing" and I leave the house saying bye to grandma before I leave.
I walk down the street looking for something nice to eat, after a while of walking I stumble across a training field, it was one of those training fields you use when you just entered the academy...
*flashback*
"hey! Hikari, didn't expect you to show up" Kean rushed towards me, I just sat on the swing watching him approach me.
"well... I couldn't really turn down your offer and besides, Ma wants me to make some friends" I explained as Kaen smiles with joy "anyways Hikari, if you don't mind I brought some other friends of mine" I shake my head "I don't mind, who are they?"
"well! first we have my cousin Yuki" He points towards the a Eevee with a blue flower around her ear "she's my complete opposite shy, smart and a Ice user!" The Eevee waved, Kaen soon continues the introduction
"Then we have Yasai" He points towards the Eevee with a pink flower "she's Yuki's bestfriend, I don't know much about her only thing is that she follows Yuki quite almost everywhere, friendship is quite powerful, huh?" This Eevee also waved
"Lastly we have Shikke" He warps a arm around a grumpy looking Eevee "He's like a brother to me! also... he can quite be a grumpy one, but that doesn't matter!" The Eevee looked at me as it was inspecting me or something, he shrugs and sits in place.
"alright let's punch the wooden log! Hikari you go first!" Kean said I looked at him in shock "you want me? to punch a wooden log?!" I was nervous and a drop of sweat drips down my face "YEP!" he then said with full confident, I then look at the log and with my right hand I punched it as hard as I could and soon felt a shiver through my whole body
...
...
...
"ITAAAAAAAAAAIIIII!" I was holding my right hand as it was probably seriously injured, soon the other 4 rushed to me in quite a worry "yo, you didn't had to punch it that hard you know! a-are you okay tho?!" Kean said worried also quickly inspecting my right hand "let's go see a doctor, let's train tomorrow sounds good?" we all agreed to Kaen's plan and we walked off towards a hospital... but little did I know, it actually split the upper part.
*end flashback*
"heh, great times... also painful times" I continue my walk to buy some dinner.
To Be Continued
Ah... feels good to be back to writing, also stressful as I halfway forgot what I needed to write due to school and all, quite annoying so I had to improvise again and I actually managed to complete the first chapter. Eitherway hope you enjoyed reading and I hope to see you again in the next chapter :D
Hopefully it'll also be a bit longer, because I think this chapter is quite a bit too short.
(also... I hope I'm able to publish at least 1 chapter each week or if school really is being annoying 1 chapter each 2 weeks, hope you can understand)
