So for Clint's kids ages I'm going by Hawkeye.

Lila was fourteen I believe which would then make Cooper sixteen.

Nathaniel was born in Age of Ultron which was 2015 and the story is in Thanksgiving 2011.

Hawkeye took place in 2024 and all of the kids were obviously snapped so that erases five years.

On Thanksgiving afternoon, Nat picked up Laura from the SHIELD office in Los Angeles.

The two were in the cockpit of a Quinjet, flying over the parted clouds to Clint's for Thanksgiving weekend.

Laura was in the passenger seat as Nat flew, peaking over the windows.

Seeing far ahead, she raised an eyebrow, seeing prairie, farms and countryside stretch out to the horizon as they flew fast above them.

"Where are we?" she asked confused.

"An undisclosed location." she said vaguely.

She pulled out her Stark phone from her jeans pocket and loaded up the Stark Maps app.

"We're in Missouri." she showed her the screen, it showing a satellite view of central Missouri.

"Yes. But Clint is very serious about keeping this location disclosed. Only I… and now you, know." Nat said while glancing over to her.

"Relax. I'm not a snitch." she crossed her arms.

Nat descended the Quinjet and Laura looked to see they were landing on a farm.

They landed in the front yard and Laura grabbed her bags and the two walked down the ramp.

She looked around, seeing the large lot, seeing it was a farm with a dirt road leading to a Victorian farm house with a wraparound porch.

A gust of wind blew against her hoodie and rustled the red and orange leaves.

She raised an eyebrow as the two walked towards it and Clint and a brunette woman.

In front of them was a young girl and a boy taller than her.

"Hey you guys made it!" Clint smiled.

"Yeah… I was not expecting a farmhouse in middle America." Laura said while looking around and he smiled.

"Yeah, Fury helped me set this up when I joined. It's a good place to lay low. I'm assuming Natasha told you to keep it a secret." he asked seriously.

"I have no reason to tell anyone. Your secret is safe with me." she promised but looked over to the woman next to him who smiled.

"Auntie Nat!" the boy and girl rushed ahead to the stairs of the porch and Nat smiled."

"Hey Cooper. Hi Lila. Gosh you two are getting big." she crouched down to hug the two tightly.

Laura glanced curiously at the exchange but then back over to Clint and the woman.

"Hi, I'm Laura. His wife. That is our son Cooper and daughter Lila…" the older woman introduced herself while nodding at the kids still hugging Nat.

"Hi. Also Laura. It's nice to meet you." she smiled and nodded.

"We're gonna need a nickname for you." Clint joked.

"Oh God please no. I have enough of those." she joked back.

"Hey Cooper, Lila why don't you say hi to our guest?" Clint asked him.

"Hi. I'm Cooper." he said shyly and Laura smiled.

"I'm Lila." she smiled and waved at her and she smiled back

"Hi I'm Laura. A friend of your dad's and Auntie Nat's. It's nice to meet you.." she introduced herself.

"Natasha why don't you show Laura her room. The food will be ready soon." Laura B asked.

"Sure." she nodded. She led Laura into the house and up the stairs.

Clint, Laura, Cooper, and Lila followed closely behind them and she leaned into his ear.

"She was not what I was expecting." she whispered.

Clint closed the door and looked over to her.

"And what were you expecting?" he asked back.

"No, it's not that it's just she's so young… She looks older on TV." she said surprised.

"She's two years younger than Natasha." he said and she looked over to him, failing to hide the shock in her eyes.

"I see why she took a liking to her."

After Laura got settled in it was time for dinner.

They were crowded around the kitchen table where she had a plate full of food and a glass of beer, eating the food eagerly.

"This turkey is delicious Laura. Thank you again for inviting me." she thanked her while slicing off a piece of turkey and she smiled.

"Make sure to safe room for dessert. We have pumpkin and Boston cream pie." she said and Laura smiled.

"Today is my cheat day with my diet. so don't worry. God it's so nice to eat good food again." she exaggerated.

She smiled and Nat and Clint shared a look.

"She's being dramatic. I haven't been that tough on her." Nat argued.

"You've had my life under an Iron Fist since we've met!" she argued.

"That's libel." Nat countered while giving her a look.

"Oh really does Laura know how we've met?" she asked smugly.

"SHIELD help clean up the mess at the expo right?" Laura B asked and she shook her head no.

"Kinda but she literally dragged me into it by breaking into my house, tasing me and stealing my car." she said smugly.

"You broke into her house?" Laura B asked Nat, slightly amused.

"She was being uncooperative and aimed your gun at me." Nat repeated.

"You aimed your gun at her!" Laura B asked surprised and Clint smiled.

"For someone who claims to be a genius that was pretty stupid." he joked.

"Why am I being ganged up here?" she sank back into her chair while grabbing her glass

She took a sip of her beer as Laura and Nat shared a smile.

"So Laura do you have anyone special in your life?" Laura B asked her.

"No. It's just me. I'm way too busy for any of that even if I wanted it. Which I don't." she answered with a shrug.

"She's texting someone." Nat added.

"I am not." she argued.

"You interrupt are sessions with them." Nat reminded her.

"I'm running a tech conglomerate. I also run a charity. I text and email a lot of people. You know that." she argued.

"You're not good at hiding your emotions. Especially from me." Nat gave her a knowing look.

"I'm not hiding anything. I've always been single and I'm happy with that. I think your agent brain is over analyzing things." she said while maintaining her gaze back.

"Ouch." Clint joked.

"So that guy who you text while smiling is… business?" Nat asked sarcastically.

"Yes. Among many… other… people…" she said as the two stared and faced each other off.

"What am I missing here?" Laura asked Clint who smirked.

"You should see them in their training sessions." he joked.

"Hey dad can me and Laura play catch tomorrow?" Cooper asked him with his mouth full, snapping the two out of it.

"Cooper…" Laura B gave him a knowing look.

Laura smirked with amusement as he swallowed his food.

"I'd love to Cooper. It's been a while know so you'll have to go easy on me." she joked and he grinned widely.

After dinner night had fallen, Laura, Clint and Cooper were in the living room.

Lila was reading but the four were eating pumpkin a slice of pumpkin pie on the couch while watching the Cowboys game on the TV.

Laura B was slicing a piece for herself with Nat next to her.

"So Laura certainly is something." she told Nat with amusement.

"Yeah…" she looked away.

"What's wrong?" Laura asked concerned.

"I was thinking about telling her… about my past. What I've done." she said, failing to hide her unease.

"And you're worried she'll judge you for it?" she said comfortingly.

Nat nodded silently.

"I want to tell her. I do. But…" she failed to come up with words, looking uncharacteristically uneasy and Laura placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Natasha, when Clint first told me about you. I had my concerns. But then when we he brought you here I got to know you. The real you. You're a good person, Natasha. You're a part of this family now. I know Laura will still think so as well." she reassured her.

"Okay." she nodded and Laura B smiled faintly.

She placed down the plate and walked over to their drinks cabinet.

She reached for a bottle of Vodka, two shots glasses and walked out to the living room, getting the four's attention.

"We need to talk." she said while looking at Laura.

"Can it wait? It's past the two minute warning and the cowboys are losing!" Laura said excitedly.

"No. It can't." Nat said seriously.

Laura frowned, hearing the sternness in her voice but got up.

She looked back at Clint who shrugged his shoulders and grabbed the remote and reached his arm around Cooper.

Nat walked upstairs and she followed her up.

They walked down the hall to Nat's room and she closed the door behind her.

"So what's this about?" Laura asked confused as she turned on the lights.

Nat just sighed and poured two shots. She handed Laura her glass and downed hers quickly.

"Okay…" she drank hers, feeling the liquid down her throat.

"Whoa, that's uh… smooth." she managed to say.

"It's from Moscow." she poured her another shot.

"So why are we drinking?" she asked confused.

She saw how uncharacteristically uncomfortable she was as she sat on the bed.

"Because in order for our... arrangement to continue I feel like I need to tell you where I'm from…" she said with unease.

Laura frowned and sat on the bed next to her.

"From Russia. I know that." she stated.

"That's only partially right…" Nat poured them another shot and Laura looked into her eyes.

"I came from a place called the Red Room…"

Laura downed another shot after Nat had finished her story.

She was very drunk as her drunken mind processed what Nat had told her.

She told her everything.

How she was taken.

The Red Room. Ohio.

Her brainwashing.

Her graduation ceremony.

What they had made her do.

How Clint was the one who saved her.

What she had to do to defect to SHIELD.

By the time she finished her story the two had made their way so they were leaning on the pillows.

It was later that night and the room was silent.

It was pitch black outside except for the lit up farm house.

She glanced down to see Nat's hands gripping the shot glass tightly as her knuckles turned white while looking down at it.

"I'm sorry." she said, causing her to look up at her.

"I didn't tell you this, for your pity." she said angrily and Laura put her hands up in surrender.

"I'm not giving you any. Trust me. I don't like it either. But what happened to you. It wasn't your fault." she said sincerely.

"I did those things, Laura. I'm a monster. I can't change that." she argued while looking directly at her.

"You're not a monster. You didn't have a choice in any of that, Natasha. They made you do those things. But you defected, killed him and have been saving lives and doing the right thing with SHIELD. And you've put up with me which not many people can do so there's that." she joked.

"Laura…" she glared at her.

"I'm serious! This doesn't change anything between us. Actually it does because well you trust now… right? Enough to tell me all of that?" she asked seriously.

"I do." Nat nodded.

Laura poured herself another shot and downed it.

"Do you wanna know what happened in that cave?" she asked seriously.

"I'm assuming you shot your way out?" Nat asked back and she nodded.

"Well Tony did most of the blasting but I did my fair share. It's just something you live with." she shrugged her shoulders.

"Yes. It is." Nat nodded back.

She placed her glass down and scooted over on the bed towards her.

She reached her arms around Nat slowly who tensed in confusion.

Laura saw that but slowly hugged her.

Nat's arms were slumped as she glanced her eyes towards her head.

She stopped hugging her and saw Nat's confused face.

"I hope we're friends now. If not well… you got me extremely drunk so blame that on the bottle of vodka if you didn't like it." she joked at the empty bottle on the bed between them.

"It wasn't my intention to drink that much." Nat smirked slightly but realization dawned in Laura's mind.

"Wait has everything you've been teaching me from... there?" she asked quietly, indicating the Red Room.

Nat looked away in shame and nodded.

"Yes. That was how I was trained. If that makes you uncomfortable we can stop." she offered.

"No, uh I don't want to." she said and Nat looked back at her surprised.

"Well, good because I don't want to either." she smiled faintly.

Laura smiled back but looked down at the empty bottle.

"I'll grab us another bottle since we're pouring our hearts out to each other. I usually drink bourbon, not vodka." she joked.

"Clint and Laura have a bottle downstairs." Nat said and she stumbled upwards.

She nearly lost her balance but leaned back on the mattress.

"Can you make it down the stairs?" Nat asked amused.

"I've got it. I've got it." she waved her off dramatically.

She stumbled out of the room and used the wall for support to walk down the hall towards the stairs.

She nearly tripped over the stairs but caught herself with the railing.

"Yeah… I drank too much." she muttered.

She managed to make her way through the darkened living room to the drinks cabinet and reached for a bottle on top.

She heard creaking from the wooden stairs and turned around to see Laura B walking down them.

"Sorry. I hope I didn't wake you." she managed to say, trying not to slur her words.

"Oh it's fine. I was just putting the kids to bed." Laura B reassured her.

She checked her watch, seeing it was already past ten.

"Guess we were up there longer than I thought." she said.

"How much did you she tell you?" Laura B asked while walking towards. her.

"Everything." she replied.

"You should feel honored. It's only us outside of SHIELD who knows." Laura B told her seriously.

"I don't think of her any different. I'll treat her the same as I've been." she said and reached for a glass on the cabinet and offered it to her.

"Oh no, thank you." she shook her head.

"I'll try not to drink all of your booze." she joked.

She turned around to pour herself a glass and downed it.

Laura B raised an eyebrow while walking up behind and gently took the bottle from her.

"I believe you had enough. Cooper gets up early and I believe you agreed to play catch with him." she smiled at her and Laura regarded her for a moment.

"You were a SHIELD agent? Weren't you?" she asked knowingly.

"How can you tell?" she asked surprised.

"I don't know. All of you guys just… carry yourselves differently." she answered.

"You're right about that. I resigned when I was pregnant with Cooper to raise him. And then Lila came so your priorities end up changing when you have kids." she answered.

Laura nodded understandingly but Laura B spotted her necklace.

"That's a beautiful necklace." she complimented.

Laura smiled and clenched one of the beads.

"Yeah its my birth mom's. It's all I have left of my parents." she said sadly.

"I'm sorry." Laura B put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Oh it's okay. My adoptive mom is the only mom I really know. I was lucky in the end everything ended up working out for me."

The next morning, Laura was fast asleep in her darkened guest room but Laura B knocked on the door, waking her up.

She groaned and reached for a hearing aid on the end table to pop one in.

"Laura are you up? I can't keep Cooper from waiting too much longer." she heard her voice from the other side of the door.

"Yeah its fine. Come on in." she said while yawning.

She shifted herself up against the headboard as Laura B let herself in with a cup of coffee.

"Sorry. Its either I wake you like this or Coop is going to barge through the door." she joked and Laura smiled.

"Its' fine its only…" she looked over to the clock to see it already past 10:00am.

"Ten. Wow I haven't slept that late in years." she joked.

"I assumed you needed it after last night. Here." she handed her the steaming mug.

"You're a life saver. Thank you." she took it eagerly.

She tossed the blankets aside and drank it as Laura B glanced over to her prosthetics mounted on the floor.

"Sorry if I'm intruding but did you make those yourself?" she asked curiously.

"Yeah. I've always been good with my hands and building things. And when you're close with a billionaire nearly everything is possible with all of that." she shrugged her shoulders.

Later that morning, Laura had kept her promise and was playing catch with Cooper in the front yard.

She was huddled in her hoodie, enjoying the fall weather.

She wasn't use to being around kids but she liked Cooper and Lila.

"Hey guys. Lunch is on. Turkey sandwiches! Come on Lila." Laura B asked her who was reading on a rocking chair on the porch." Laura B got their attention as soon as the baseball went over Laura's head.

"Hey you need to work on your aim." she joked to Cooper.

"You could have caught that." he argued.

"You're too much like your Auntie Nat." she joked back.

"Here. I'll put your glove away." Cooper tossed her his glove and he ran inside.

After putting their gloves in the barn she walked back to the house but saw Lila still engrossed in her book and looked at the title.

"Prisoner of Azkaban huh?" she asked, getting her attention.

"Yeah. I've already re read each book." Lila smiled.

"Same here. I like book Ginny more than movie Ginny." she replied.

"I know! They're far more convincing as a couple in the books." she agreed.

"Sirius Black was one of my favorite characters though." she said and they smiled at each other.

"Come on. I'm starving." the two walked inside the house where everyone was in the kitchen getting their sandwiches.

Laura B smiled, seeing Laura and Lila walking in together, still chatting about Harry Potter, and leaned into Clint.

"She's good with them."

The rest of the weekend flew by and Laura enjoyed the break.

The farm was a nice recluse from the world and she especially like Cooper and Lila.

It was Sunday evening and she, Nat and Clint were saying their goodbyes.

"Thank you for inviting me. I really enjoyed it." Laura said while hugging Laura B.

"Oh it was my pleasure. You're welcome to stop by anytime." she said while hugging her back.

The kids rushed up to hug her and she laughed and hugged her back.

"Bye Auntie Laura!"

"Bye Cooper. Bye Lila. I'll have to learn how to fly a Quinjet so I can see you guys whenever I want." she joked to Nat.

"I don't think SHIELD will allow that." she said but smiled faintly back.

After Nat hugged the kids goodbye, the two grabbed their bags and headed out for the jet.

"Do you have to leave tonight?" Laura B asked Clint sadly.

"Sorry. I was lucky to get the weekend off with this protection detail in New Mexico. I need to report back early tomorrow." he sighed.

"I know. Just don't get hurt again." she said and the couple kissed each other.

"Yes ma'am." he smiled.

She watched the three board the Quinjet and it take off into the night sky.
