Laura suited up, changing into a sleek uniform consisting of black pants, long sleeve shirt and jacket.

Choosing not to wear the other jacket with the "cheesy" emblem on the back.

Disappointing Phil.

She zipped it up and strapped two batons to her back in an X.

She boarded a jet and got a look of Steve in his red, white, and blue uniform.

"Ready?" she asked as the ramp closed.

"If we're truly at war I should be." he nodded with a sigh and she frowned.

She glanced over to Nat in the pilot seat and she looked back at her, noticing her nerves despite hiding them.

"You've got this, Laura." she reassured her.

"Yep… just gonna fight an actual god." she muttered, unsure with herself.

The jet took off and the next thing she knew they were in Stuttgart.

Laura peaked out the cockpit to see the main square and Loki himself in his green armor and the same spear he used in New Mexico.

He was holding a large crowd hostage as they kneeled.

An old man was standing in the middle of it and she went wide eyed.

"Steve!" she rushed to him and the ramp lowered.

The jet swopped in right as Loki aimed his spear at the man refusing to kneel.

He grabbed his shield and the two jumped out right before Loki sent a blast at him, reflecting it and knocking him down.

"You know, the last time I was in Germany and saw a man standing above everybody else, we ended up disagreeing." Steve quipped.

"The solider. A man out of time." Loki mocked while getting up.

"I'd stay down if I were you." Laura warned while bringing out her batons and getting in a stance.

"This is the best Earth has to offer?" he asked amused.

She gripped her batons tightly as Nat flew the jet right above them, getting their attention.

"Loki, drop the weapon and stand down!" she ordered over radio while bringing out a machine gun on the jet.

He sent another blast at it but Nat flew out of the way just in time.

Laura jumped up and struck him across the face, hard with the baton which had no effect.

"Really?" she sighed.

He angrily grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up.

Her legs were suspended off the ground before tossing her aside.

She gripped her legs around his neck, bringing her with him as they tumbled backwards.

"Nice try!" she snarled while getting up.

He got off his back and smiled with amusement.

"You have heart…" he said while aiming his spear at her heart.

She stumbled backwards in fear and he smirked.

"I like that…" he reached it out to hers but Steve jumped in with his shield, blocking it.

"Kneel!" Loki ordered.

"Not today!" Steve tossed his shield at him but Loki flung him to the ground. Laura jumped over him and knocked Loki down with her other baton.

"Stand down Loki! Final warning." she threatened.

Getting frustrated, he aimed his spear at her but Steve swatted it with his shield.

"This guy's all over the place." Nat noticed.

Suddenly, "Shoot to thrill" began playing over the P.A. system, getting their attention.

"Agent Romanoff, did you miss me?" Tony asked smugly and Laura smiled.

He flew in from the dark sky towards the square and blasted Loki backwards to the ground.

Tony landed and aimed every single weapon in his suit at him.

"Make your move, Reindeer Games." he threatened.

Loki put his hands up as his armor and cape morphed away.

"Good move." Tony said as Laura stepped over to grab her baton.

"Hey Tony… thanks for coming." she said dryly while catching her breath.

"Hey Watson." he nodded.

"Mr. Stark." Steve greeted.

"Captain."

They apprehended Loki and brought him back to the jet.

Nat was flying them back to the helicarrier.

The three were standing closely to each other while Laura and Steve eyed him suspiciously.

He himself was sitting calmly on the bench with his hands cuffed.

"I don't like it." Steve told them.

"What? Rock of ages? Giving up so easily?" Tony joked.

"I agree Steve. Tony you weren't there really fighting him." Laura agreed and Steve nodded.

"I don't remember it being ever that easy. This guy packs a wallop." he replied.

"Still, you are pretty spry, for an older fellow. What's your thing? Pilates?" Tony joked.

"What?" Steve asked, not getting the references.

"Tony…" Laura sighed.

"It's like calisthenics. You might have missed a couple things, you know, during your time as a Capsicle." he mocked.

"Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in." Steve said annoyed.

"Yeah, there's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you." Tony said while looking at Laura.

"Trust me. I know." she said but thunder and lightening suddenly rocked the jet.

Laura frowned as lightening lit up the sky, confusing them.

"Where's this coming from?" Nat asked confused while Loki looked out the cockpit intently.

"What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?" Steve mocked.

"I'm not overly fond of what follows." Loki hinted and Laura frowned.

A lightening strike hit the jet and Laura gripped her pistol.

A thud was heard on the roof and they all looked up.

Tony lowered the ramp, and Thor appeared.

He tried to punch him but Thor easily knocked him back, grabbed Loki by the throat and flew out.

Laura fired shots at them but it was too late.

"Shit!" she cursed while Tony put on his helmet.

"Now there's a guy." he said as Laura rushed over to grab a parachute.

"Another Asgardian?" Nat yelled over the wind.

"Think the guy's a friendly?" Steve asked.

"Doesn't matter. If he frees Loki…!" Laura warned while strapping her chute but Tony interrupted her.

"The Tesseract's lost." he said and walked to the edge of the ramp to jump off.

"Stark, we need a plan of attack!" Steve grabbed his shoulder.

"I have a plan. Attack!" he spun around and jumped out.

"Wait for me!" Laura fastened the chute and walked backwards to the edge.

"Uh.. Laura do you know how to use that?" Nat asked while looking back at her since she never taught her.

"Can't be that complicated I guess. Just pull the pin right?" she joked.

She gave a mock salute, tucked, and rolled backwards off the ramp and Nat smirked.

"That's my girl."

Far down in the German Alps, Tony caught up to Thor and crashed onto the forest floor.

"Do not touch me again!" Thor warned.

"Then don't take my stuff." Tony said and took off his helmet.

"You have no idea what you're dealing with." Thor tried explaining.

"Shakespeare in the park? Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?" Tony mocked Thor's red cape and outfit.

"This is beyond you, metal man. Loki will face Asgardian justice!" Thor declared.

"He gives up the Cube, he's all yours. Until then, stay out of my way... tourist." Tony put his helmet back and turned around.

He began to walk away but Thor threw Mjolnir at him, knocking him threw a tree.

"Ok…" Tony grunted.

Thor raised his hand and Mjolnir flew back into it.

He summoned lightening at Tony but he blasted it. The two strikes met and knocked Thor down.

Thor summoned another bolt of lightening and aimed it at the suit.

That forced Tony back as his suit glitch out and his suit took the brunt.

"Power at 400% capacity." JARVIS alerted in the glitching out HUD.

"How about that?"

Tony flew towards Thor and grabbed him. He elbowed him and smashed him into the side of a nearby mountain.

The two flew upwards quickly and Laura frowned, seeing them off in the distance.

She had her chute out and her arms and legs spread out.

The chute she grabbed happened to be a "flying squirrel" wingsuit.

"Ok… how do I turn this stupid thing…" she brought her legs together and swerved her arms and turned to the right as she quickly descended.

Her HUD on her glasses appeared and highlighted Tony and Thor.

"That does it…" she saw the tree line approaching and Tony and Thor still fighting.

"Hey!" she screamed with her arms and legs out, getting their attention.

She managed to land right beside them.

"Watson what are you doing?" Tony asked her. She was about to respond but was interrupted.

"That's enough!" Steve shouted while perched on a tree.

"Now, I don't know what you plan on doing here." Steve began while jumping down to them.

"I've come here to put an end to Loki's schemes!" Thor declared.

"Then prove it! Put the hammer down." Steve asked.

"Literally what I was trying to do." Laura threw her arms up, feeling ignored.

"Um, yeah, no! Bad call! He loves his hammer!" Tony joked but Thor backhanded him to the ground.

"Tony!" Laura shouted with worry while bringing out her gun.

"You want me to put the hammer down?" Thor shouted and leapt in the air while raising it.

Steve grabbed Laura and she stumbled behind him as he brought out his shield.

Laura brought out her arms to shield herself while the two collided, causing a shockwave against the vibranium that took out the trees around them.

"Geez." Laura said while she walked around Steve and towards Tony.

"You okay?" she asked while grabbing his hand and helping him up.

"I'm good? You good?" he asked nonchalantly.

"Are we done here?"

They reprehended Loki and brought him back to the helicarrier.

Laura changed into a pair of jeans and her black hoodie before rejoining everyone on the bridge.

Loki was brought to a special high security cell purposely built on the carrier. Everyone was sitting at the table, watching Fury address Loki on the screens.

"In case it's unclear. You try to escape. You so much as scratch that glass." Fury told him and pressed a button on the control panel.

The hatch underneath the cell opened up, allowing a strong gust of wind fill the chamber.

Loki peaked downwards over the edge.

"Thirty thousand feet, straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?" Fury warned before closing it.

"Ant. Boot." he said while pointing at the button.

"It's an impressive cage. Not built, I think, for me." Loki smirked.

"Built for something a lot stronger than you." Fury warned.

"Oh, I've heard…" he said while eyeing the camera directly.

"The mindless beast, makes play he's still a man. How desperate are you, that you call upon such lost creatures to defend you?" Loki mocked.

Laura frowned and looked over to Bruce who was pacing around nervously behind her.

"How desperate am I? You threaten my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace and you kill cause it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did." Fury warned again.

"Ooh. It burns you to come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power, unlimited power. And for what? A warm light for all mankind to share, and then to be reminded what real power is." Loki threatened.

"Well, you let me know if Real Power wants a magazine or something." Fury said and walked out.

Everyone was still watching on the bridge at Loki smirking at the camera in the cell.

"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Bruce asked sarcastically.

"Like a tumor." Laura said unimpressed.

"Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?" Steve asked him.

"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth. In return, I suspect, for the Tesseract." Thor answered and Laura frowned, not liking the sound of that.

"An army? From outer space?" Steve asked in disbelieve.

"So he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for." Bruce realized.

"Selvig?" Thor asked confused.

"He's an astrophysicist. He was working with SHIELD on The Tesseract before you know…" Laura shivered, the images of the brainwashing appearing in her mind.

"He's a friend." Thor told her.

"Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of ours." Nat added.

"I wanna know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here." Steve suggested.

"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats, you could smell crazy on him." Bruce replied.

"Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard, and he's my brother." Thor defended him.

"Your brother killed eighty people in two days." Laura said angrily.

"He's adopted." he shrugged over and Laura narrowed her eyes at him.

"I think it's about the mechanics. Iridium, what did they need the Iridium for?" Bruce asked the group.

"It's a stabilizing agent." Tony answered, getting their attention as he walked in with Phil.

"I'll fly you there. Keep the love alive. " he told Phil who nodded and stood off to the side.

"Means the portal won't collapse on itself, like it did at SHIELD.

"No hard feelings, Point Break. You've got a mean swing. " he patted Thor on the shoulder while walking by him who didn't look amused.

"It also means the portal can open as wide, and stay open as long, as Loki wants." Laura clarified, having read the notes last night.

"Uh, raise the mid-mast, ship the top sails. That man is playing GALAGA" Tony pointed to an agent at his station who quickly minimized the window.

"Seriously?" Laura muttered unimpressed.

"Thought we wouldn't notice. But we did. " Tony said while walking up to Fury's circular station and looked around the monitors.

"How does Fury do this?" he joked while tilting his head around.

"He turns." Hill said with her arms crossed.

"Well, that sounds exhausting."" Tony said while discreetly placing a small device under a monitor with his finger smoothly but Laura noticed it.

"The rest of the raw materials, Agent Barton can get his hands on pretty easily. Only major component he still needs is a power source. A high energy density, something to kick start the cube." he explained.

"When did you become an expert in thermonuclear astrophysics?" Hill asked him.

"Last night. " he answered smugly and she gave him a confused look.

"The packet, Selvig's notes, the Extraction Theory papers. Am I the only one who did the reading?" he asked dramatically.

Laura raised her hand, bringing the attention to her.

"You don't count." Tony waved her off and she gave him a face.

"Does Loki need any particular kind of power source?" Steve interrupted them.

"He's got to heat the cube to a hundred and twenty million Kelvin just to break through the Coulomb barrier." Laura answered and Tony held out his arms and nodded in approval.

"Unless, Selvig has figured out how to stabilize the quantum tunneling effect." he added.

"Well, if he could do that he could achieve Heavy Ion Fusion at any reactor on the planet." Bruce warned.

"Finally, someone else who speaks English." he joked while walking up to shake his hand.

"Is that what just happened?" Steve asked annoyed.

"It's good to meet you, Dr. Banner. Your work on anti-electron collisions is unparalleled. And I'm a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster." he joked.

"Thanks." Bruce looked down awkwardly.

"Dr. Banner is only here to track the cube. I was hoping for you and Watson might join him." Fury said while walking in.

"Let's start with that stick of his. It may be magical, but it works an awful lot like a HYDRA weapon." Steve said suspiciously.

"I don't know about that, but it is powered by the cube. And I'd like to know how Loki used it to turn two of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys." Fury asked back.

"Monkeys? I do not understand." Thor asked confused.

"I do!" Steve raised his hand proudly.

Laura smiled and Tony rolled his eyes.

"I understood that reference."

"Shall we play, doctor? Watson?' Tony asked while looking between.

"I'm so playing." Laura said while pushing out her chair and got up.

"Let's play some."

Laura, Tony, and Bruce worked hard throughout the night in his lab at the hull of the ship.

They had Stark monitors surrounding them as they worked on his tracking algorithm.

The scepter itself was mounted on the table in the middle of them.

Urgently trying to find the cube.

Laura and Tony eating a bag of blueberries between them.

"The gamma readings are definitely consistent with Selvig's reports on the Tesseract. But it's gonna take weeks to process." Bruce said gravely.

"If we bypass their mainframe and direct a reroute to the Homer cluster, we can clock this around six hundred teraflops." Tony countered.

"All I packed was a toothbrush." Bruce joked.

"You know, you should come by STARK Tower sometime." Tony offered.

"It's amazing Bruce. Top ten levels. All R&D." Laura gloated with her mouth full.

"Thanks, but the last time I was in New York I kind of broke... Harlem." he said awkwardly.

"Well, I promise a stress free environment. No tension. No surprises." Tony said but grabbed a min electrical prod and zapped him in the stomach.

"Ow." he winced and Tony looked directly into his eyes.

Laura rolled her eyes as Steve walked in.

"Hey! Are you nuts?" he asked angrily.

"You really have got a lid on it, haven't you? What's your secret? Mellow jazz? Bongo drums? Huge bag of weed?" Tony joked to Bruce.

"Is everything a joke to you?" Steve asked with annoyance.

"Funny things are." he continued to joke.

"Threatening the safety of everyone on this ship isn't funny. No offense, Doctor." Steve apologized to him.

"No, it's alright. I wouldn't have come aboard if I couldn't handle pointy things." he reassured them all.

"You're tiptoeing, big man. You need to strut." Tony joked nonchalantly.

"And you need to focus on the problem, Mr. Stark." Steve ordered.

"You think I'm not? Why did Fury call us and why now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us? I can't do the equation unless I have all the variables." Tony accused.

"You think Fury's hiding something?" he asked back but Laura answered for him.

"He is Steve. This whole thing is just suspicious. He was desperate enough to hide something from me while bringing me in to try to fix his mess." she agreed and Tony nodded in agreement.

"Doctor?" Steve asked.

He paused before giving his opinion.

"A warm light for all mankind, Loki's jab at Fury about the cube." he quoted.

"I heard it." Steve nodded.

"Well, I think that was meant for you. Even if Barton didn't post that all over the news." Bruce pointed to Tony.

"Stark Tower? That big ugly... Steve began to insult bur Laura interrupted him.

"Hey!"

"Building in New York?" he finished awkwardly.

"It's powered by Stark Reactors, self-sustaining energy source. That building will run itself for what, a year?" Bruce asked.

"That's just the prototype. We're the only players in clean energy right now." Laura answered.

"So, why didn't SHIELD bring you or him in on the Tesseract project? I mean, what are they doing in the energy business in the first place?" Bruce asked with suspicion.

"I have the same question." she crossed her arms.

"I should probably look into that once my decryption programmer finishes breaking into all of SHIELD's secure files." Tony replied.

"So that's what you placed on Fury's setup." Laura noticed. He glanced over to her who smiled.

"Yeah, I saw you. You're not as sneaky as you look." she said smugly.

"Like you don't agree with me?" he asked knowingly.

"I do…"

"So I have JARVIS running it since I hit the bridge. In a few hours we'll know every dirty secret SHIELD has ever tried to hide. Blueberry?" Tony offered Bruce who took a handful.

"Yet you're confused about why they didn't want you around?" Steve asked, losing his patience.

"An intelligence organization that fears intelligence? Historically, not possible." he joked.

"I think Loki's trying to wind us up. This is a man who means to start a war, and if don't stay focused, he'll succeed. We have orders, we should follow them." Steve stated.

"Following is not really my style." Tony quipped.

"I continuously tell SHIELD that. I barely listen to Tony" Laura shrugged her shoulders.

"I'm hurt Laura." he joked and she smirked.

"I can see that." Steve said unimpressed.

"Excuse me?" she asked angrily while glaring at him.

"Steve, tell me none of this smells a little funky to you?" Bruce asked again.

He looked back at him, then Laura for a moment but shrugged it off.

"Just find the cube." he repeated before walking out of the lab.

"That's the guy my dad never shut up about? Wondering if they shouldn't have kept him on ice." Tony insulted.

"He seemed so nice at first…" Laura muttered.

"Again, dad likes him. That explains everything." Tony insulted.

"The guy's not wrong about Loki. He does have the jump on us." Bruce warned.

"What he's got is an ACME dynamite kit. It's gonna blow up in his face, and I'm gonna be there when it does." Tony said hopefully.

"And I'll read all about it." Bruce replied.

"Uh-huh. Or you'll be suiting up like the rest of us." he hinted.

"Ah, see. I don't get a suit of armor. I'm exposed, like a nerve. It's a nightmare." Bruce argued.

"You know, I've got a cluster of shrapnel, trying every second to crawl its way into my heart." Tony said while tapping his arc underneath his shirt.

"This stops it. This little circle of light. It's part of me now, not just armor. It's a... terrible privilege." he said humbly.

"But you can control it." Bruce argued.

"He's got a point Bruce. I mean look at me. I'm paralyzed but I haven't let what happened to me stop me. It shouldn't stop you." Laura suggested.

She placed a comforting hand on his shoulder but Tony slide another file on her monitor.

"Yeah, yeah…" she waved him off and looked down to work on it.

"Hey, I've read all about your accident. That much gamma exposure should have killed you." Tony stated.

"So you're saying that the Hulk... the other guy... saved my life? That's nice. It's a nice sentiment. Saved it for what?" Bruce asked unsure.

"I guess we'll find out."

The three worked hard throughout the night.

Desperately trying to find the cube.

While JARVIS was trying to break through SHIELD's firewalls.

The firewalls Laura helped built for them.

"God Watson this was why I was against you working for them." Tony groaned as another attempt of theirs failed.

"Relax… I always build a backdoor just for myself…" she said smugly.

She walked over and grabbed the monitor from him and inserted a drive from her pocket.

She cracked her knuckles and opened up the file.

"Now we just place the trap."

On the bridge, "VIRIUS DETECTED" went off at Fury's monitors and at Hill's station.

He eyed it suspiciously and glanced back to Hill.

The sun rising lit up the lab as the group continued to try to break into SHIELD's firewall.

"Almost there…" Laura muttered while looking at the progress on her monitor but Fury walked in.

"What are you doing, Ms. Watson." he said angrily.

"Funny. I asked you the same question." she quipped back.

"You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract." he reminded her.

"We are. The model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile." Bruce said, defending her.

"And you'll get your cube back, no muss, no fuss." Tony said but the collection of files they were looking for popped up on her monitor.

"PHASE 2" labelled on the group of them.

"What is PHASE 2? Nick?" she asked angrily.

Steve suddenly marched in and dropped a HYDRA missile on the table.

"Sorry, the computer was moving a little slow." he said angrily to Laura and Tony who frowned at him.

"Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean that we're..." Fury began but Tony interrupted him.

"I'm sorry, Nick. What were you lying?" Tony accused while pointing at the monitor which showed a HYDRA missile.

"I was wrong, director. The world hasn't changed a bit." Steve accused as Nat and Thor walked in.

Laura narrowed her eyes at Nat particularly who raised an eyebrow at her.

"Did you know about this?" Bruce asked her angrily.

"You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor?" she asked formally.

"I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well removed." he said sarcastically.

"Loki's manipulating you." she warned and Laura rolled her eyes.

"And you've been doing what exactly?" he asked annoyed.

"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you." she said sarcastically.

"Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy. I'd like to know why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction!" he demanded.

"Because of him." Fury pointed at Thor.

"Me?" he asked stunned.

"Last year, Earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned." Fury warned.

"My people want nothing but peace with your planet." Thor reassured him.

"But you're not the only people out there, are you? And, you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled." he argued.

"Like how you controlled the cube?" Laura reminded him sarcastically and Thor nodded at her.

"Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is the signal to all the realms that the earth is ready for a higher form of war." he warned gravely.

"A higher form?" Steve asked.

"You forced our hand. We had to come up with something." Fury justified.

"Nuclear deterrent. Cause that always calms everything right down." Tony said sarcastically.

"Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark?" Fury reminded him.

"Sorry I'm pretty sure we stopped making weapons because of…" Laura said while gesturing her arms around.

"This mess!" she exclaimed.

"Wait! Wait! Hold on! How is this now about me?" Tony continued to joke.

"I'm sorry, isn't everything?" Steve stepped up to him.

"I thought humans were more evolved than this." Thor insulted.

"Excuse me, did we come to your planet and blow stuff up?" Fury asked dryly.

"Did you always give your champions such mistrust?" Thor accused back.

"Are you all really that naïve? SHIELD monitors potential threats." Nat stated the obvious.

"You put me on a watch list?" Laura demanded her.

"We all are." she answered, ignoring her emotions.

"You're on that list? Are you above or below angry bees?" Tony once again joked.

"I swear to God, Stark, one more crack..."

"Threatening! I feel threatened!"

As the group argued with each other, a Quinjet flew in towards the helicarrier.

Clint and the group of brainwashed agents were getting ready.

The jet flew in by one of the turbine engines and the ramp lowered.

He knocked a tipped arrow and fired it and the arrow punctured it.

The arrow armed itself. Back in the lab everyone was still arguing over each other.

"You speak of control, yet you court chaos." Thor said.

"It's his M.O., isn't it? I mean, what are we, a team? No, no, no. We're a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We're... we're a time-bomb." Bruce said while backing up towards the scepter. Failing to control his anger.

"You need to step away." Fury said carefully, noticing how close he was to the scepter.

"Why shouldn't the guy let off a little steam?" Tony joked while putting his hand on Steve's shoulder.

"You know damn well why! Back off!" Steve pushed him away.

"Oh, I'm starting to want you to make me." Tony got into his face.

"Big man in a suit of armor. Take that off, what are you?" Steve insulted.

"Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist." he said simply.

Laura smirked and Nat titled her head in agreement.

"I know guys with none of that worth ten of you. Yeah, I've seen the footage. The only thing you really fight for is yourself. You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play, to lay down on a wire and let the other guy crawl over you." Steve accused, snapping Laura's anger.

"Shut the hell up Rogers!" she snarled, getting into his face.

He frowned and looked down at the shorter woman.

"What footage did you see, exactly? The news? YouTube?" she asked angrily.

He was about to answer but she put her hand up.

"How dare you! You have no idea what Tony has done. Time and time again. What he did… for me. So put your self-righteous bullshit aside because its 2012! Not 1945. He's a hero. Not you! Captain."." she said mockingly at "Captain" through her clenched teeth and fists.

"Laura…"Tony put a reassuring hand on her shoulder but Steve smiled.

"You know, Ms. Watson, you may not be a threat, but you and Stark better stop pretending to be a hero."

"I never pretended. Unlike you." she spat but Tony stepped in front of her.

"A hero? Like you? You're a lab rat, Rogers. Everything special about you came out of a bottle!"

"Put on the suit, let's go a few rounds." Steve taunted.

"Like you'd win." Laura scoffed but Thor laughed at them.

"You people are so petty… and tiny." he mocked.

Laura sighed and backed away.

Tony rubbed his head awkwardly.

"Agent Romanoff, would you escort Dr. Banner back to his…" Fury began but he interrupted him.

"Where? You rented my room." he hinted the cell Loki is in.

"The cell was just in case…" he said but was interrupted.

"In case you needed to kill me, but you can't know! I tried!" he exclaimed, shocking all of them.

"I got low. I didn't see an end, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out! So I moved on. I focused on helping other people. I was good, until you dragged me back into this freak show and put everyone here at risk! You wanna know my secret, Agent Romanoff? You wanna know how I stay calm?" he asked her through his clenched teeth.

Laura looked down to see his hand grabbing the scepter and she, along with Nat and Fury reached down grabbed their guns.

"Doctor Banner... put down the scepter." Steve asked firmly. Bruce looked down to see he was holding it surprised.

His tracking algorithm suddenly got a 95% hit and sent off an alarm and they all turned to it.

"Got it!" Laura announced. Bruce put down the scepter and the two rushed over to it.

"Sorry, kids. You don't get to see my little party trick after all." Bruce said while opening up the algorithm.

"Located the Tesseract?" Thor asked.

"Hopefully…" Laura said while bringing up the location on the screen.

"I can get there faster." Tony stated.

"Look, all of us…" Steve tried again.

"The Tesseract belongs on Asgard, no human is a match for it." Thor declared.

Laura and Bruce saw the match jump up to 99% and she stared at it in confusion.

The location enlarged on the screen and she went wide eyed. She turned to Bruce who was thinking the same thing she was.

"Oh my God."
