Laura readjusted her Glock in the holster and Thor walked over to grab Mjolnir.
He grabbed it and raised it to the sky.
He summoned lightening and it struck all around them.
Laura still watched on in awe as she felt the electricity in the air.
A tornado of dust and wind rotating around them.
"So uh how are we getting to New York?" she asked.
"Yes. May I…?" he asked while holding out his arm.
She raised an eyebrow but walked up to the side of him.
He wrapped it around her and began rotating Mjolnir at speed.
"Hold on!" he shouted.
"What?" she yelled over the wind.
The two were suddenly flung high into the air and over the clouds.
Back on the helicarrier, Steve suited up and marched into an infirmary room where Nat and Clint were.
After Nat had engaged Clint she knocked him really hard on the head, knocking Loki's spell out of his mind.
"Time to go." he got Nat's attention.
"Go where?" she asked.
"I'll tell you on the way. Can you fly one of those jets?" he asked.
Clint walked out of the bathroom behind her as she was about to answer.
Steve glanced at him and then looked over to Nat who gave him a reassuring nod.
"You got a suit?" he asked him.
"Yeah." He nodded.
"Then suit up."
The three and Tony suited up and Steve led Clint and Nat through the hangar and towards one of the Quinjets.
They marched up the ramp but a pilot blocked them.
"You are not authorized to be here…" he began but Steve interrupted him.
"Son. Just don't."
On the bridge, Fury was shuffling through Phil's cards but Hill walked up to him.
"Sir."
"Agent Hill?" he asked.
"Those cards, they were in Coulson's locker, not in his jacket." she stated.
"They needed the push." he replied.
She looked over to him but Tony flying away in his suit grabbed their attention.
The Quinjet following closely behind him.
"They found it. Get our communications back up, whatever you have to do. I want eyes on everything."
On the balcony at Stark Tower, Selvig activated the CMS device that was holding the Tesseract in place by an energy field.
Tony was speeding in, his boosters were sputtering as he hovered overhead.
"Sir, I took off the arc reactor. The device is already self-sustained." JARVIS warned.
"Shut it down, Dr. Selvig!" Tony threatened.
"It's too late! It can't stop now. He wants to show us something! A new universe." Selvig proclaimed.
"Okay." Tony fired his blasters at it but the energy field reflected it.
The force knocked Selvig to the ground and Tony far back.
The blast got the attention of New Yorkers at street level who all glanced up to the tower in confusion.
"The barrier is pure energy. It's unbreachable." JARVIS said gravely.
He looked down to Loki who was holding his scepter smugly.
"The Mark VII is not ready to be deployed." JARVIS warned.
"Skip the spinning rims. We're on the clock." he replied.
He landed on the platform and the gauntlet raised up.
The arms took each piece by piece off him as he casually walked through it.
Eyeing Loki the whole time, the two walked into the bar.
"Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity." Loki joked.
"Uh...actually, I'm planning to threaten you." he replied, walking down the stairs towards the bar.
"You should have left your armor on for that." Loki quipped.
"Yeah, it's seen a bit of mileage. You've got the blue stick of destiny. Would you like a drink?" he asked while walking behind the bar and reaching for a bottle of bourbon.
"Stalling me won't change anything." Loki chuckled.
"No, no, no! Threatening. No drink? You sure? I'm having one." he said while pouring himself a glass.
Loki turned around and stared at the Chrysler Building.
"The Chitauri are coming, nothing will change that. What have I to fear?" Loki dismissed.
"The Avengers." he hinted and Loki gave him a confused look.
"It's what we call ourselves, sort of like a team. Earth's Mightiest Heroes type of thing." he quoted.
"Yes, I've met them." Loki smiled.
"Yeah, takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one. But, let's do a head count here. Your brother, the demigod; a super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend…" he continued while discreetly putting on two suit bracelets underneath the bar and clasped them onto his wrists. A woman who's as smart as me but more deadly and fierce!" he hinted at Laura proudly.
"A man with breath-taking anger management issues; a couple of master assassins, and you, big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them." he warned.
"That was the plan." Loki replied.
"Not a great plan. When they come, and they will, they'll come for you." he threatened.
"I have an army." Loki countered.
"We have a Hulk!"
"I thought the beast had wandered off." Loki dismissed while Tony marched up to him.
"You're missing the point. There's no throne, there is no version of this, where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect the Earth, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it." he took a drink from his glass as Loki raised his scepter.
"How will your friends have time for me, when they're so busy fighting you?" Tony braced himself but the scepter's tip tapped against his arc.
Loki pressed the scepter against it again but only a "clank" sound was heard.
"It should work…" he said confused.
"Well, performance issues. You know? Not uncommon. One out of five…" Tony began to joke but Loki grabbed him by the throat and flung him across the room.
"JARVIS. Anytime now…" he said while pushing himself upwards but Loki grabbed his throat again.
"You will all fall before me." he snarled.
He threw him through the window, shattering it and he began to free fall downwards.
A red pod shot out of the wall right past Loki and began to open up.
Tony spread out his arms and the lasers guided it to the bracelets.
The suit locked onto them and assembled around him.
His helmet and HUD came on just in time before he crashed into Park Ave below but he blasted himself back upwards right above passersby heads.
Loki was looking downwards but he flew up to meet him.
"And there's one other person you pissed off! His name was Phil." Loki raised his scepter at him but he blasted him backwards onto his back.
The Tesseract beamed a blast of energy into the blue sky. It them formed a vortex which opened up a portal into space.
Thousands of Chitauri on flying chariots carrying rifles flew down to the city.
Tony dropped his mouth in shock.
"Right…" he said while his HUD armed itself.
"Army." he began firing at them while flying upwards.
Getting quickly outnumbered, he highlighted all of them and small shoulder mounted rockets fired from his suit, taking dozens out at once.
New Yorkers looked up above at the portal and the Chitauri flying towards them.
They blasted at the cars on Park, causing them to scream and run away from the explosions.
Thor was flying towards Manhattan as fast as he could while Laura clung on.
She managed to arch her head towards the island and dropped her mouth in shock.
"Oh my God!" she screamed at the portal.
Thor flew between the buildings and landed in the middle of an intersection by the median on Park.
She got out of his grip and brought out her gun.
"Thor I need to get to the Tesseract and shut it down!" she warned while pointing up at Stark Tower.
"Loki is there. He must be dealt with first." he used Mjolnir to fly himself towards the balcony.
She frowned but heard several sirens coming up behind her.
People were running for their lives as she saw NYPD squad cars speed up to her.
Officers got up and she ran up to them.
"Listen to me! You gotta get all of these people off the streets. Either inside or in the subway! Begin setting up a perimeter at least all the way down 39th! This is gonna get bad!" she warned.
"And why should I listen to you?" one of them dismissed.
Two Chitauri suddenly landed on the cruiser hood with a thump and she brought out her gun.
She shot it in the eye instantly and it collapsed.
She grabbed its alien spear and blasted the other one within a second before it could respond in the face.
The two bodies face planted between her but three more jumped down.
She sliced the throat of one with the spear, blasted the other off its feat and shot the other one with her gun in one quick move.
The group of officers who looked stunned while she casually put her gun away.
"Need I say more?" she asked with a tilt of her head.
"Alright listen up! Begin setting up a perimeter and get these people off the streets! All the way down to 39th!" the captain began ordering.
She began running towards the tower, blasting more Chitauri out of the sky but saw a Quinjet nosediving overhead.
One of the engines was one fire.
"Shit!" she said, fearing who may be inside it.
She ran up a few blocks, taking out what seemed an endless army of Chitauri before running up the steps of a courtyard.
There she saw Steve, Nat and Clint getting out of the wreckage.
"Guys!" she shouted, getting their attention.
"Laura!" they all met up and Nat and Clint hugged her.
"Are you ok?" Nat asked concerned, seeing her disheveled appearance.
"What? You don't think a mere 30,000 foot fall will kill me do you?" she joked with a smirk.
She smirked back and Clint's eyes roamed to the spear in her hand.
"Where'd you get that?" he asked.
"Oh this uh I've already taken out like two dozen of these bastards. Try to keep up." she shrugged her shoulders.
She looked up and blasted and another Chitauri right above their heads, causing them to duck.
"I really like this spear!" she exclaimed.
"Look, we gotta get up there." Steve warned while nodding at the balcony.
"Loki and Thor are up there." Laura replied and he nodded.
"Here." he tossed her an earpiece which she took out a earring aid to place in.
"Come on!" the four ran up Park to Grand Central among the smoldering wreckage.
"Tony… Tony it's me can you hear me…" she asked.
"Laura?" he gasped with relief, seeing her face on his HUD.
"Yeah it's me and I'm fine. You can thank Thor later." she replied.
He was about to respond but a loud roar was heard from the portal.
The group stopped in place and looked up to see a giant Chitauri Leviathan fly out of it.
Carrying hundreds of soldiers that are launched out and attach themselves to the sides of buildings.
Firing their rifles at New Yorkers.
"Holy shit." Laura muttered.
"Stark, you seeing this?" Steve asked him.
He was currently chasing the Leviathan as it smashed its way through the tops of towers from a block away.
"I'm seeing, still working on believing. Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?" he asked back.
"Bruce isn't here yet Tony." Laura answered.
"Just keep me posted. JARVIS find me a soft spot."
On the balcony, Thor and Loki were fighting while the chaos from the invasion was heard around them.
"Look at this! Look around you! You think this madness will end with your rule?" Thor asked him.
"It's too late. It's too late to stop it." Loki warned.
"No. We can. Together." Thor pleaded his brother.
Loki looked to his brother but then stabbed him in the gut with a small knife hidden his hand.
Thor stumbled backwards in pain.
"Sentiment." Loki smirked.
Thor got up and kicked him before lifting him up into the air.
He then smashed him into the glass railing on the edge of the balcony.
Loki rolled himself over the edge and he looked down.
Loki grabbed onto a passing chariot, surrounded by dozens of soldiers.
Back on Park, the four were running up to Grand Central and hid behind a taxi.
Civilians running from the blasts from the soldiers firing at them carelessly.
"Steve!" Laura said, seeing the whole thing unfold.
"Those people need assistance down there." he said but Chituari landed by them.
Nat fired her Glocks at them while Laura blasted two away with her spear.
"We got this. It's good. Go." Nat told Steve.
"We can hold them off, Steve." Laura said while aiming her spear at one.
She fired again, flinging the soldier away.
"Ok." he nodded before getting up and running to the edge.
He jumped down off the bridge while Clint loaded an arrow.
It burst into multiple tips and took out multiple soldiers.
Laura ran up to one, dodging the blasts coming her way before grabbing onto its neck, wrapping her legs around it and slitting its throat with the spear tip.
She screamed a war cry before the body collapsed in front of her.
Nat and Clint ran up to her while she panted, trying to catch her breath.
"Don't get to eager. This is a marathon. Not a sprint." Nat warned.
"You sprint in a marathon!" she exclaimed.
The onslaught of soldiers continued and she blasted more away while Clint fired more arrows at them and Nat shot them.
"That's adrenaline you're feeling." Clint stated.
"Nah. It's blood lust!" she grinned mischievously while gripping the spear.
Nat and Clint gave each other a look but Laura spotted people trying to get out of a wrecked bus.
"Look!" she got their attention while pointing at it.
The three made their way to it, firing at more soldiers.
"I'll cover you." Nat told them.
Laura rushed up to pry the doors open.
She and Clint ran in and helped the injured people out.
She crouched down to pick up a four year old scared boy off the seat.
It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you." she cooed him and he managed to nod.
She carried him out but luckily the boy's mother ran up to her, looking disheveled.
"Oh thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" she said hysterically but she simply nodded and placed the boy down next to her.
Above, Tony fired the rest of his shoulder mounted rockets at the Leviathan, getting its attention.
It turned around, taking out a building in the process.
Rubble fell on the people below.
It roared to Tony in front of it who was hovering.
"We got his attention. What the hell is step two?!" he asked JARVIS and flew away.
Down on Park, Clint swept the legs of a soldier with his bow staff.
Laura was blasting three away with her spear between him and Nat who jumped onto one and shocked him in the neck with her cuffs.
It collapsed and Laura swung around, taking two more Chitauri out with one blast each.
She swung the two ends at two more but one fired right by her.
She dove behind a taxi as Clint ran ahead of her and shot it with an arrow Steve jumped down, taking the other two out with his SHIELD.
Laura leapt over the hood of the cab and aimed her spear at the approaching Chitauri.
They were suddenly struck by lightening and Thor flew down in the middle of them.
"What's the situation with the cube?" she asked him.
"The power surrounding the cube is impenetrable." he warned gravely.
"Thor is right. We gotta deal with these guys." Tony spoke into the comms while flying right overhead.
"How do we do this?" Nat asked.
"As a team." Steve answered.
"I have unfinished business with Loki." Thor stated.
"Yeah, get in line." Clint added while knocking his arrows.
"Behind me." Laura spat.
"Save it. Loki's gonna keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need. Without him these things could run wild. We got Stark up top, he's gonna need us…" Steve began by pointing at the sky but a motorbike engine was heard.
They all turned around to see Bruce riding towards them through the warzone.
They all approached him as he got off, looking around the city.
"So, this all seems horrible." he simply stated.
"I've seen worse." Nat nodded.
"Sorry." he apologized.
"No. We could use a little worse." she clarified and he nodded back.
"Tony? Bruce is here." Laura alerted.
"Banner?" he asked back.
"Just like you said." Steve added.
"Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you." he suddenly flew around above Park, bringing the trailing Leviathan right behind him, getting their attention.
Laura gripped her spear tightly and Thor summoned Mjolnir back into his hand.
"I don't see how that's a party…" Nat said dryly.
Tony swept down to street level.
Guiding the Leviathan to take out the median, dozens of abandoned cars, and Park itself.
"Dr. Banner. Now might be a really good time for you to get angry." Steve hinted.
"That's my secret, Captain. I'm always angry." Bruce quickly transformed into Hulk, tearing apart his shirt before he punched the Leviathan in the nose.
That caused it to buckled and begin to flip on itself in a 360 and onto the group.
"Hold on!" Tony fired a wrist rocket into it.
Laura and Clint dove behind a flipped car, Steve shielded Nat and Thor raised his arm from the fiery explosion.
The Leviathan crashed onto the street below and all of the soldiers began screaming in agony on the buildings above.
The group circled up and Hulk roared loudly Tony flew in next to Laura who got into a stance with her spear.
Clint loaded up his arrows and Nat reloaded her guns.
Everyone psyched themselves up, getting ready.
"Send the rest." Loki ordered.
Two more leviathans flew in from the portal with thousands of more soldiers.
"Guys." Nat warned, getting them to look upwards at the invasion.
"Call it, Cap." Tony asked.
"Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or your turn it to ash." he ordered.
"Wanna give me a lift?" Clint asked Tony who walked over to him.
"Right. Better clench up, Legolas." he grabbed him and flew up to the roof of the nearby building.
"Thor, you've gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You've got the lightning. Light the bastards up." he ordered and Thor flew upwards.
"Laura, you, Agent Romanoff and I will stay on the ground, keeping the fighting here." he said and Laura nodded.
"And Hulk…" Hulk turned his head back to him.
"Smash." Hulk grinned and leapt high onto the nearby building.
Soldiers were trying to blast him but he easily smashed them into the brick façade.
Thor leapt towards the spire of the Empire State Building and aimed Mjolnir at the sky.
Dark storm clouds quickly appeared and he summoned lightening.
The strike struck through the spire while Laura watched on in awe.
He aimed it at the portal, taking out all of the soldiers and yet another Leviathan that was trying to sneak through.
"Thor that's the coolest thing I've seen." she said in awe.
Back on the bridge, Fury was the chaos unfold at his setup as Hill approached him.
"Sir. The council is on."
In the warzone, Laura, Nat and Steve were doing their best to keep the endless onslaught of Chitauri at bay.
Laura herself was sweating when a Chitauri tackled her into a car.
That caused her to drop her spear as it chocked her.
She gasped for breath while reaching for her Glock.
She fired it right into its face.
She took in a deep breath while kicking the body away.
Nat rushed up to her as she slumped to the ground.
"Are you okay?" she asked concerned.
"I don't know how much fight I've got left in me." she groaned with exhaustion.
Steve swatted a solider away and walked over to them.
"Captain, none of this is gonna mean a damn thing if we don't close that portal." Nat warned.
"Our biggest guns couldn't touch it." he countered.
"Either way. With Selvig decommissioned, I've gotta come up with something to break through its barrier and shut it down. This is only gonna get worse." Laura suggested.
Steve held out a hand and she took it.
She winced in pain as he helped her up.
"You wanna get up there, you're gonna need a ride." he suggested.
She looked up at the passing chariots overhead and frowned at the idea that popped into her head.
"I've got that covered. I could use a boost though…" she said while backing up to the concrete railing of the bridge.
She strapped the spear to her back and Nat raised an eyebrow.
"Laura, are you sure about this?" she asked.
"No. But what choice do I have?" she asked back.
Steve crouched down and she began to run.
She leapt onto the roof of a car next to him and then onto his Shield.
He used all of his strength to leap her onto a flying chariot and she grabbed on the edge of with both hands.
Nat's eyes widened as she flew away at speed while her body dangled in the air above 6th.
Her legs were flinging in the wind as she used all of her strength to climb on.
She used on hand to steady herself and the other to bring out her spear.
She sliced through the chain holding one of the soldiers in place.
That got its attention and she side swiped him off.
She crawled herself towards the pilot, struggling against the high speed as her hair blew in the breeze.
She brought out to hidden knives that she kept stash in ankle holsters and leapt forwards.
With a war cry she stabbed the Chitauri back and it screamed in pain.
"Ok.. just like driving a car. Turn! Turn!" she screamed while on the soldiers back, using her prosthetics to steady herself.
She barely avoided a building but more chariots flew in behind.
"Shit." she cursed, seeing them.
Luckily, Tony flew in, seeing her in shock before blasting the other chariots away.
"Don't get yourself killed Watson!" he asked.
"Same to you!" she exclaimed back while flying towards the tower.
At Fury's setup, on the ship, he was addressing the council on the screens.
"Director Fury, the council has made a decision." the councilwoman stated.
"I recognize the council has made a decision, but given that it's a stupid ass decision, I've elected to ignore it." he replied sharply.
"Director, you're closer than any of our subs, you scramble that jet…" one began to order but he interrupted him.
"That is the island of Manhattan, Councilman. Until I'm certain my team can't hold it, I will not order a nuclear strike against a civilian population."
"If we don't hold them in the air, we lose everything." he warned.
"I send that bird out, we already have."
Laura was flying towards the tower, making steady progress but two blasts flew right over her head.
She turned back and sighed.
"Oh, you." she groaned, seeing Loki on his chariot closing in.
"Uh… Clint." she asked.
"Laura, what are you doing?" he asked dumbfounded, seeing her fly towards him from the roof.
"I'll admit this wasn't my best idea…" she said while dodging the blast fire.
Clint knocked an arrow and aimed down at Loki.
"I've got him." she flew up past him, getting Loki to follow her and he fired.
The arrow was heading right for Loki's head but he caught it easily with his hand.
He looked at it smugly but it blew up, flinging him off the chariot.
The chariot crashed into the S and T of the STARK sign and Loki fell onto the balcony.
Laura leapt off, performing a double back flip before landing onto the balcony.
She brought out her spear, aiming it at Loki while narrowing her eyes at him.
He failed to hide the surprise off of his face but HULK leapt up and punched him through the window.
Loki was flung back, hard into the mosaic wall of the bar by the elevators.
He landed with a thump and Hulk began to charge for him.
"Enough!" Loki shouted and Hulk stopped in place.
"You are, all of you are beneath me! I am a God, you dill creature. And I will not be bullied…" Hulk just grabbed him by the ankle, swinging his body like a rag doll into the hard floor, making an impact crater into it each time.
With the final swing, Loki landed on his back and winced in severe pain.
"Puny God."
Laura slowly approached the CMS machine where the Tesseract was being held.
She arched her head up to see the energy beam opening the portal in the sky.
She glanced over to see Selvig trying to get up, no longer brain washed.
"Doctor…" she crouched down to help him up. "
"Loki's scepter, the energy... the Tesseract can't fight. You can't protect against yourself." he warned.
"It's not your fault. You didn't know what you were doing." she reassured him.
"Well, actually I think I did. I built in a safety to cut the power source." he said and she went wide eyed in realization.
"Loki's scepter!" she exclaimed.
"It might be able to close the portal. And I'm looking right at it." he said and they looked down to see it a few floors below.
While Laura was running down the stairs towards it, the situation in Manhattan was gravely becoming overwhelming and the council had made a decision.
"Director Fury is no longer in command. Override order, 7 ALPHA 11." was heard in the pilots comms.
"ALPHA 11, confirmed. Prepare to takeoff." on the bridge, Hill saw the jet beginning to take off on the runway on her screen.
"Sir, we have a bird in motion! Anyone on the deck, we have a rogue bird! We need to shut it down! Repeat! Take off is not authorized!" Fury ran out instantly right as the jet was taking off.
He ran onto the upper runway with a rocket launcher and fired.
He hit the landing gear, causing it to glide down to the edge of the ship.
Another jet took off on the runway below and he brought out his gun but it was too late.
It retreated its landing gear while Fury walked inside.
"Stark, you hearing me? We have a missile headed straight for the city." he warned.
"How long?" Tony asked while on street level, getting overwhelmed while surrounded by soldiers.
"Three minutes, at best. Stay low and wipe out the missile." Fury ordered.
"JARVIS, put everything we got into the thrusters!" he ordered.
"I just did." he took off, leaving the soldiers behind and flew out towards the water.
After rushing to grab Loki's scepter, Selvig opened up his monitor.
"Right at the ground!" he told Laura who aimed the tip of Loki's scepter at the base.
She used all of her strength to pierce the energy shield and slowly made her way towards the beam.
"Guys! I can close the portal. I'm gonna close the portal!" she said.
"No wait!" she heard Tony's voice.
"Tony I can close this thing!" she repeated.
"I got a nuke coming in, it's gonna blow in less than a minute." he warned.
He was flying over Verrazano Narrows bridge while his HUD highlighted the missile.
"What!" she shrieked in horror.
He flew up and over the deck of the bridge as the missile flew by quickly with Manhattan in its sights.
"And I know just where to put it…" he hinted.
Horror came across Laura's face, knowing what he was going to do.
"No Tony don't do this…" she pleaded.
He grabbed onto the missile and guided it towards the portal.
"I'm sorry… Laura…" she heard his voice, breaking at the end.
She planted her feet down, struggling against the strength of the energy field.
"Stark, you know that's a one way trip?" Steve asked gravely.
"Save the rest for the return, J." he order.
"Sir… Shall I try Ms. Potts?" he asked.
"Might as well."
Pepper herself was on the plane, flying back from D.C. She was watching the news in horror, not hearing her phone vibrate.
In Wakanda, T'Challa and T'Chaka were watching from a holographic from his bracelet nervously.
They heard Laura's name in the news report and gave each other a worried look.
Tony was still holding onto the missile as he flew it down Park.
Thor, Steve, and Nat looked overhead as he flew it upwards.
Laura frowned as he flew it right above her head and he began flying vertically into the portal.
He disappeared into space and she closed her eyes in despair.
Tony flew deeper and deeper into space and began to gasp for air.
His HUD glitched out and his suit began to malfunction.
His boosters were shut off and he began to free fall back to the portal below.
The missile continued to fly forwards, right into a large Chitauri ship with more and more Leviathans heading towards the portal.
He watched the missile strike the ship, igniting a nuclear explosion, blowing it up.
Laura saw and heard all of the soldiers collapsing instantly and saw the remaining leviathan crash onto a roof below her.
"You did it Tony. Now come back…" she begged while looking up into space behind the portal.
"Please…" she continued to beg.
"Close the portal, Laura." she heard Steve's voice.
Ignoring him, she continued to look up but saw Tony free falling through the portal.
"Yes!" she screamed and withdrew Loki's scepter.
The portal closed in on itself and she breathed a sigh of relief.
She looked back up to see Tony still free falling.
"Oh no…" she gasped in terror.
She rushed to the edge of the balcony while carrying the scepter right as Tony's body flew downwards past her.
Luckily, Hulk leapt out of nowhere, catching him and using a nearby building to guide himself down to the others.
Laura was looking down where the others were on Park, waiting for a confirmation.
Hulk placed Tony in the middle of the group and Thor ripped off his face guard.
His eyes were still closed but Hulk roared loudly, causing him to gasp awake.
He woke up in shock while Hulk pounded his chest triumphally.
"What the hell? What just happened? Please tell me nobody kissed me." Laura heard his voice in her ear and smiled widely.
"Not even in your dreams, Tony." she joked.
"We won." Steve said in disbelieve.
"Alright, hey.. Alright. Good job, guys. Let's just not come in tomorrow... let's just... take a day. Have you ever tried shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is, but I wanna try it." he rambled.
"I can eat." they all heard Laura's voice.
"We're not finished yet." they all looked back to the tower and Laura whipped her head around back towards Loki angrily.
"And then shawarma after."
Laura was marching back into the bar where she saw Loki trying to crawl up the steps.
"You!" she spat.
He looked back towards her and tried crawling away desperately.
SHe tossed his spear aside and brought out her fists.
"I don't need your spear to beat the shit out of you!" she shouted.
She grabbed him by the collar and flipped him over onto his back.
She landed a one two to his face and he tried to block them.
Weakened by Hulk's smash, he struggled and winced as Laura laid an upper cut, then a punch, after punch, after punch to his face.
"I told you would regret it if I survived! Now welcome to New York…!" she got up and reached for Loki's scepter but felt a hand grab her wrist.
"Laura…" she heard Tony's voice.
She turned around to see him right behind her in his mangled suit.
She hugged him tightly and he hugged her back.
She looked over to Thor and handed him the scepter.
Loki managed to turn around to The Avengers.
Clint aimed his bow and arrow at him while they all were glaring down at him.
Revealing his cut and bruised face from Laura's onslaught.
"If it's all the same to you. I'll have that drink now."
