As the months went by, the progress on the house was steadily moving forward. The madrigals did there best to do their part as well as the town people. Of course because Casita wasn't fully built yet they still had to stay in town.

Alex was having fun entertaining Dolores' family. Him, Camilo and Antonio liked to tell silly stories before they go to bed. During the day when they took breaks, if someone was playing music, Dolores would make him join them to dance.

They finished with the first floor of Casita within the third month. By the middle of the fourth, they had most of the house done. Everyone was split to do different parts of the house. Some worked on the flooring while others worked on the walls. Mirabel and her sisters helped put up pillars and grow a few plants.

When they worked on the roof Dolores was at the top with Felix. She would occasionally look off and catch a glimpse of reddish brown eyes and her heart would speed up when he smiled before going back to his task.

Felix gave a light nudge to make her look at him and he smiled proudly. "I'm really proud of you mija, after everything you have done. You've grown into a very fine young woman, and the way you have raised Antonio shows just how much you've grown as well."

He kissed her cheek and she gave him a smile. "Thank you Papa, but I had you and the others help. I'm glad that Antonio is turning out the way he is, and Alex never misses a chance to be around him. He's so kind and considerate and understanding. I know he will be a fine young man one day, just like his papa, and Abuelo."

They continued to lay the bricks out until they heard a little voice. "Mama!" Dolores' eyes widened as she looked down to see Antonio standing next to Alex with matching grins on their faces. Her heart melted every time he called her that and she knew it was the same when he would call Alex 'papa'. They wouldn't ever get tired of hearing it from him.

"Papa said I had to ask you if I could come up there with Abuelo?" She tilted her head to the side and looked at her father who gave her a grin as he nodded. She smiled down to her son and grabbed onto the rope that hung in front of her. "Step onto the platform, make sure you stay in the middle."

The boy did as she asked with the help of his father and looked up to see her grinning at him. "You ready, Principito?" Dolores saw him nodded his head and held onto the rope tighter. "Here I go." She jumped off and didn't let her grip on the rope go as Antonio passed her. When she got close to the ground Alex caught her in his arms with a chuckle. They both looked up and saw Antonio mid air as Felix caught him with a laugh.

She giggled as she turned her head back to Alex. He twirled her around for a second before placing his lips on hers. Dolores kissed back before meeting his gaze with a smile. They stayed in that position for a while and stared at each other before Camilo came walking past.

"Keep looking at each other like that and Antonio will be a big brother before you are married." Dolores stared wide eyed as her brother snickered before getting out of her boyfriend's arms. She turned to glare at Camilo as he walked by before glancing back to Alex who was staring equally wide eyed. "...I need to go get more tiles for the roof. I'll see you in a few hours." She placed a kiss on his cheek before walking off with a blush on her face.

They continued that way for the remainder of the time they had to fix casita. Dolores or Alex would be busy doing their part to finish the house when one of them would catch the other looking.

Isabela had caught Dolores staring at him a bit too hard while she was helping her fix the doors upstairs. She smirked and nudged her cousin's shoulder. "You are literally undressing him with your eyes, Prima."

Dolores rolled her eyes. "You do the same thing with Sofia." Isa tilted her head at the mention of her girlfriend. "Yes, but me and Sofia don't openly stare at each other like we haven't seen another person before. Plus we have the time and privacy for such...activities. You have your entire family staying with you and Alex."

Dolores only hummed as a response as she went to tighten the hinges on the door. "If I were you Lola, I'd bed him the second this house was finished and wouldn't let him leave the room for a week." She quickly became a blushing mess and squeaked as she dropped the screwdriver in shock. "Isabela!"

Her older cousin only laughed at her expense as she grabbed the tool off the ground. "What? I'm only being honest! You have done anything like that since you were 16, you aren't going to sit there and tell me you don't miss his hands on you."

Thankfully for Dolores, Antonio came running up the stairs stopping the conversation from going further. "Mama!"

Dolores side eyed Isa as she kept her grin before moving and crouching down to her son's height. "Si, Principito, What's wrong?" Antonio's eyes shined with excitement and he bounced on his feet a little.

"I want to do something special for Mirabel."

By the end of the week, the house was finally rebuilt and the family stood at the front looking it over. Mirabel gave everyone a smile before Bruno pointed out one last thing, the door. Antonio had told everyone the idea he had and all agreed, Mirabel would be the one to finish it. He stood in front of her with his bright smile and handed her a doorknob.

"We made this one for you."

She was in tears by the time she made it to the house. And once she connected it, it was like a final puzzle piece. All of their eyes widened as they saw the glow that came from the house, it spread out and changed the original color of the house before moving out and going down through the entire town.

Casita was alive again, and gave them a little wave before pushing them all in. Antonio was right behind them riding in on his jaguar friend with a bright smile. Isabela made wild plants and Luisa quickly lifted a large vase that held a cactus in it before placing it on the table.

After hearing nothing but her own thoughts and the average hearing of a normal human being Dolores' ears began to ring a little as everything became louder. She stared wide eyed at Alex who looked back at her. He gave her a questioning look before covering her ears. She gave a light smile and nodded her head. He kissed her forehead as it started hailing. Pepa was so happy as she danced with Felix.

Antonio came running back over to them with a bright smile. Alex quickly scooped him up causing him to squeal before the tiles began moving under Dolores. She grabbed at Alex's hand as they were moved toward the other. Alex was careful not to drop his son before he placed him down and Antonio climbed onto the jaguar again.

Not too long after that they all took a photo to commemorate a really good day. It started out normal, Alex stood besides Dolores behind Felix with his hands on her waist. Felix and Pepa stood in front of them following Camilo, and Bruno. Mirabel stood in the middle with Her abuela, Augustin, Julieta, Isabela and Luisa were all on the right side and Antonio was in the front. Just as the photo was going to be taken Casita moved the floors.

Everyone got sent flying into the middle in a mess, but no one complained. Alex wrapped his arms around Dolores with a laugh. He gave her a grin and she smiled shyly in return. She was a giggling mess as they all finally made it out before her eyes met his again.

Music started playing and everyone began partying in celebration of Casita and the magic returning. Half way throughout the night After Antonio was put to bed, Dolores caught Isabela going up stairs with a tall light skin woman that she knew to be Sofia. Isa met her gaze and gave her a knowing look. " I wont tell if you don't."

The earlier conversation they had that week popped into her head at her older cousin's words. Isa smiled when she saw the change in her facial expression and winked as she went back to her girlfriends side. "Have a good night, Prima."

Dolores rolled her eyes before turning her attention to Alex. He was on the dance floor with Pepa and Felix. The more she thought about the talk she had with Isabela, the more she wanted to leave the party.

When his eyes finally met hers, he gave her a grin and her heart leapt in her throat. She was giving into temptation. Looking around the room to make sure no one was paying attention, she tilted her head slightly to where her room was before she quickly looked back at him and she saw his eyes widen.

Dolores moved her eyebrows up before looking away with a smile when she heard his heartbeat quicken. Alex excused himself away from her parents before walking up to her. "You are a dangerous woman, you know that." He grabbed at Dolores hands before lightly kissing her cheek. The darker skin woman gave him a pointed look.

"If you want to keep partying, I have no issue letting you do so..." She then grabbed at his shirt and pulled him close so that their lips barely met. "But if you aren't up these stairs and in my room in the next 15 minutes, I'm going to go insane.. quieres tu entendar ?"

The look in his eyes darkened and he found it hard to swallow. " Cristalina, seƱora ." She gave him a smile as she let go. " Bueno ." She gave anyone she passed a smile and glanced at him when she made it to her door. Alex gave her a grin and he chuckled.

"That woman is going to be the death of me."
