Chapter 19
Uraraka Ochako was furious. How dared Bakugou say she wasn't her own person? The nerve he had!
She stomped through the forest at a quick pace, wanting to get away from Bakugou as far and quickly as possible. She could feel her face heating up and her hands began to sweat as much as Bakugou would when he had to activate his quirk in a fight.
When Uraraka finally was nearing the edge of the forest, she could suddenly hear a rattle from the bushes not too far ago.
She sighed irritated, "Bakugou, if it's you I'm not in the mood to talk with you right now."
She didn't hear Bakugou's gruff voice or the sound of his stomping through the forest. Instead, she was met with complete silence, and she started to feel a tingling sense of worry in her spine. It was as if the temperature was suddenly dropping and the hair on her neck stood up.
"B-Bakugou, if it's you, stop playing around," she tried again, although this time her voice was weaker than before and her eyes were darting around to see if she could find out what was going around.
The rattling was heard from her right again, and when she whipped her head against the source, the rattling was heard from behind her instead and a small giggle was heard.
"Who are you?" Uraraka asked as she turned around again, although there was no other answer than another giggle, and her breathing became slightly more rapid and shallower than before.

Bakugou Katsuki looked dumbfounded at the spot he saw Uraraka disappear from minutes ago before he groaned deeply as he facepalmed himself.
"You fucking idiot Katsuki!" he said to himself, "so fucking stupid Katsuki!"
He walked over to his bags to pick them up and started to stroll back towards the school building again. It was always easier to get home from the main entrance of the school building than it was from the forest.
It had taken a good while before he reached the main entrance, the walk seemed much longer on the way back than it did on the way out.
"Kacchan!" a very recognizably annoying voice called out for him in the distance.
"What do you want Deku? I'm not in the mood for your antics," he sneered through his teeth as he saw his former childhood friend run towards him.
"There's someone here," he tried to say as he was getting his breath under control.
Bakugou leered around, but turned to Midoriya when he didn't see anyone around them, "what the hell are you on about Deku?"
"We're supposed to keep a low profile on this, but there seems to be a somewhat low-profile villain somewhere around the forest. I was sent out to deal with it and get help from anyone I met if needed."
"Pfft, so you're saying you need my … Wait ... The fucking forest!?" Bakugou started to feel his adrenalin rush through his body as the realization hit him, "Cheeks is in the forest."
Midoriya's eyes widened.
"What? Why would she be in the forest at this time of the day?!"
"We don't have the fucking time to talk about that right now!" Bakugou dropped his bags on the ground and went off towards the forest with his explosions, followed by Mioriya right behind him.
Bakugou started by going back to the place they were sparring, just to be sure she wasn't there, but nothing was there but the aftermath of their own sparring time.
"We were here, and she went that way after the fight," Bakugou mumbled to himself before he went through the forest in the direction he would believe she would have headed.
"You had a fight?" Midoriya asked.
"None of your fucking business Deku, and not something we have time for right now," Bakugou growled as he kept his eyes focused on his surroundings.
"Kacchan, something happened here," Midoriya said as he found a piece of fabric of what looked like a part of their uniform.
Bakugou came up to where Midoriya stood and he could faintly smell the soft scent of Uraraka's shampoo from the fabric.
"That's hers," Bakugou's palms were starting to sweat and his heart was beating faster as the adrenalin was rushing through his body. "Let's go!"
They followed the trail of what clearly looked like some kind of fight until they heard noises farther into the forest and they rushed towards the sound in record time and when they reached the spot, they both stood still.
Uraraka stood in the midst of a small crater-like hole, a tree that looked like it had been pulled up from the roots was crashed behind her, trapping what Bakugou and Midoriya could only assume was the villain, underneath it. Her clothes were severely disheveled, several cuts on her skin, hair in disarray and blood was dripping slowly down her forehead from a wound. She was breathing heavily as she looked at Bakugou and Midoriya, smiling proudly before she collapsed to the ground.
"O-oy!" Bakugou ran over to where Uraraka fell and picked her up in his arms, while Midoriya went over to the villain, lifting the tree slightly to get a grip of the villain, who seemed to be unconscious as well.
"I'm contacting Aizawa about the villain, and you'll contact recovery girl for Uraraka," Midoriya said as he let go of the tree and it slammed hard back on the ground.
"Don't tell me what to fucking do!" Bakugou barked back as he started to walk back to the main entrance of the school building.

After Bakugou and Midoriya had delivered the villain to the proper authorities and handed Uraraka to the medics they both sat in the hallway of the hospital, waiting for Uraraka to wake up again.
The silence between them was deafening.
"Kacchan, that fight you mentio-"
"That's none of your fucking business, Nerd," Bakugou interrupted as he kept his face in between his knees.
Midoriya inhaled deeply, "it kind of is if your fight caused her to end up in the hospital."
"Tha- that's!" Bakugou looked up in protest, having difficulty finding the words, his mouth opening and closing several times. "Shit, you piss me off."
"Excuse me, but how am I pissing you off this time around?" Midoriya almost rolled his eyes.
"Because you're the one who's kissing her, you're the one who's dating her and you're the one she likes!" Bakugou almost screamed, practically giving up on keeping his feelings to himself at this point.
The people around them looked at them with discerning faces for the loud voice and Midoriya apologized like it was second nature to him.
"Wait, Kacchan, what are you talking about?" Midoriya scrunched his eyebrows together in question while he looked at him.
"Not only did I see you together Sunday morning, but I also saw you kiss by the end of your freaking date," Bakugou was fighting really hard to keep his voice under a normal decibel.
"So that's why you had a fight with Uraraka? Because you were jealous?" Midoriya was almost smirking as he was asking the question, knowing one of the few reasons he wasn't getting pounded right then and there was because they were inside the hospital as they were speaking.
Bakugou's vein was almost popping as Bakgou was struggling with admitting to what Midoriya was asking.
"Well I … Shut up," Bakugou looked away as he could feel his cheeks start to heat up a bit.
"Kacchan, I think I should tell you the truth though, we didn't actually kiss that day, and we're not going out either," Midoriya leaned back in his chair with a small smile as he saw Bakugou's eyes widen from the corner of his eyes.
"You … What?"
"Yeah, after the date, when we were about to say goodbye, I did want to kiss her, and was about to, but we were interrupted by the call from the hospital telling her about her parents' accident, where she rushed off right after. And when you saw us on the dome, she actually … Well, she dumped me then," he chuckled to himself, barely holding it together as Bakugou's face was too wrapped up in that surprised expression only he could pull off as funny.
"Excuse me," a nurse came up to where Midoriya and Bakugou were sitting, "it seems like your friend is waking up so you can go see her now."
"Oh, right, thank you," Midoriya responded, already getting up from the chair. "You coming in with me?" he asked Bakugou.
"You go in first."
xXoOoXx
"Deku! Wow, you're here, thanks for coming," Uraraka said with a smile on her lips as she was drinking a box of apple juice.
"Hey, Uraraka! How are you feeling?"
"Oh, a little sore, but otherwise okay. But maybe that's because Recovery Girl gave me a bunch of pain meds."
"I'm glad you're okay. I was really worried about you when I found out you might run into that villain."
"Yeah, it came as a surprise to me too."
Uraraka emptied the juice box and put it on the table next to the bed she was in.
"Well, I just came to see if you were okay, after all that," Midoriya said with a smile, stroking her hand gently. "But I have to get back now."
"Already?"
"Yeah, but there's someone else here for you and I think you could use some privacy," Midoriya chuckled leaving the room, "I'll see you in class."
"Wait, who's here?" Uraraka asked, but it was too late, Midoriya had already left the room.
A short moment went past before Uraraka's heart sat in her throat as she saw Bakugou stand in the doorway.
"Bakugou ..." was all she could get out of her mouth for a while as she saw his red eyes stare at her, "I did it," she started as she remembered what she had just achieved, and honestly it was the best thing she could say right now, just focus on that one thing to not screw anything else up, " I used everything we've worked on while training together, and I did it. I kicked that villain's ass Bakugou, I did it and it was so exhilarating!" She could feel herself smile as the small scars on her face were burning slightly.
Bakugou didn't know what to say after seeing Uraraka faint just as he had arrived too late. If it hadn't been for him, she wouldn't have been hurt. And yet, here she was, after winning and having captured a villain, smiling ever so brightly despite all the bandages and scars she had gotten. And honestly, she had never looked more beautiful to him than she did right now. The way she glowed when she talked about her win, the confidence she was radiating. Everything culminated until he couldn't hold it in any longer when he, without thinking, embraced her carefully, but tightly.
"Ba-Bakugou? What are you …?" she yelped, blushing furiously by the sudden and very close embrace.
"Please just shut up for a minute and let me hold you like this, just for a little while."
He could smell the faint scent of her shampoo from the top of her head. He could feel how she had tensed up at first but was slowly starting to relax and lean into the embrace.
"You're a fucking badass," he whispered softly with a low chuckle.
"Thank you," she whispered.
