Hey everyone! Here's chapter three! Before we begin I just want to announce that after learning some seriously disturbing news lately, I have changed Toothless's nickname from 'Nightstalker' to 'Nightwalker'. Seems to be a more fitted name for the latter. Anyway, that's all for now folks! Enjoy!

For three days Tulip and Amity sailed the high seas in search for the island from which this 'Nightwalker' resided. For a while they've seen nothing but endless ocean. But Amity was confident that they were going in the right direction. They just hoped that they would have enough provisions to last the entire trip. Seeing that the crew had left them with half a load of supplies in the bunker. Even though she knew very little about her new friend Tulip was impressed with the fact that Amity had as much experience as she did. Experience that is not normally developed for a girl her age.

It was very admirable from her perspective. Though the thing that paled her the most was the one thing that she could not see before. Amity was definitely not human. She did not know how to explain it, but there was this inhuman feeling in Amity that Tulip could not seem to wrap her head around. The perennial child guessed that she was some form of elf, given to the pointy ears, but she may be something much more than that. Though she definitely fell in the category of being a witch.

She also did not seem to originate from the infinity train. As did most inhumans. And if that was the case, then that only bares the only question: Where did she come from? Of course, she was well aware that she couldn't just go asking her these types of questions. Some of them are considered to be very personal. And she had to respect , it didn't stop her from wanting to know more about her new friend. As they both leaned against the railing of the ship, they looked over the horizon, with silence filling the emptiness of the deck. And it was at that moment that Tulip realized that this would be the perfect time to start up conversation.

"So," she started. Breaking the silence in the process. "What do you think we'll find when we get there?"

"I don't know," Amity responded briefly. "I just hope that my Luz is okay back home."

Tulip perked up slightly. This was the first time she ever heard someone confess something like this.

"Your Luz?" she asked without being bias.

"My girlfriend back at home," Amity answered. "We started dating recently after she enrolled in the school I go to."

Tulip felt surprised. Not only was she with a living witch. But she was also with a girl who also has a girlfriend. If that would be the case, then that made her more worthy of respect. She always wondered what it would be like to fall in that specific category. Of course she'll never get to experience it considering that she doesn't actually have feelings for other girls, but it is something that she would praise highly. Perhaps even defend against people who would discriminate. And there were definitely people who would discriminate against this kind of thing back home. She knew that for certain.

"What's she like?" she asked again. "If you don't mind me asking."

Amity didn't give a complete answer. Seeing that this was a really personal question that the perennial child was asking. A question that she did not entirely feel like answering at the moment. But as she thought about it, maybe she was exaggerating a bit. She knew for a fact that Tulip meant no harm asking these particular questions. And besides, it wouldn't hurt if she at least opened up to her a little bit, right?

"Well, now that you've mentioned it," she started off. "She's a bit like you."

"Really?"

"Yeah," she added. "She's smart, she kind. She can get in over her head sometimes, but she always finds a way to fix things. Even if it means making the hardest decisions."

Tulip smiled. Whoever this Luz person was really meant so much to Amity. It kinda reminded her of her own connection with Atticus. Such a brave dog he was. Risking his own life to protect her and his kingdom. Never in her life has she ever heard of such loyalty. It made her eager to meet her if they were to find a way outta this.

"Well, wherever she is," Tulip reassured, putting a gentle hand on the witch's shoulder. "I'm sure she's doing the same thing we are doing."

"And what's that?" Amity asked.

"Finding a way to get back to her," the perennial child answered. "And finding a way outta this."

"Agreed. I'm not gonna lie to you though, this won't be easy."

"Totally" the game coder admitted. "But one thing I do know is that no matter what happens. We'll find a way out of this mess, together."

Afterwards Amity couldn't help but smile. Feeling the human's faithful words was definitely reassuring. Though she did not share her optimistic appraisal of the situation. She was comforted with the knowledge that she'll have someone to watch her back as they go on in this pursuit of a ghost story. However, the moment was so rudely interrupted when a booming sound rang in the air above them.

What followed after that was much more damning than the two girls could ever dare hope. The first thing they heard was a noise like a hurricane coming down from the North. The planks on the ship slowly began to creek and crack in the cold dry wind. The rain began to fall in sheets. And great bolts of lightning began to light the sea bright as day. The sails that were tied to the mast began to flail around at a rapid pace.

Above the two girls, the clouds began to darken. Casting a ghostly glow that was black as the oncoming wall of night. In light of the situation, Amity pulled out her staff. Ready to anticipate whatever it was that was going on.

Tulip on the other hand felt a bit uneasy. She never expected them to run into a thunderstorm around this hour. Heck, she didn't even figure that there would be any thunderstorms at all. But as it continued to rage on, she start to have a feeling that something terrible was about to go down. So in light of that, she quickly ran back to the wheel and attempted to steer the ship away so that they wouldn't end up at the bottom of the ocean.

"This isn't good," she noted. "We should probably turn back before-"

Tulip was suddenly cut off by an ear-splitting screech. Which threw her and her fellow witch companion slightly off guard. Once it ended, they both looked to the direction and saw an area in the clouds where the thunder storms started to get louder and louder with each passing second. From there, they could see a shadow of a large reptilian beast. It was hard to make out due to how far of a distance it was. But as it started to get closer, the very image of the creature started to become more visible.

After a few more seconds, the monster from above finally peered from the bank of clouds and began to show itself. As far as physical features were concerned, the beast was primarily purple with a grayish underbelly. With metallic spikes ranging from its back and tail. On its sides, two large wings with gray undersides flapped with each passing second. It had stocky legs with razor sharp claws on feet. And the tip of its long, tapering tail was covered with several spikes. Ready to slice through flesh and rock alike.

It possessed a large crown of spikes on its small head, which were surprisingly similar in length. With small eyes on the center of its face, coupled with a crocodile-like snout, with two pairs of razor sharp teeth visible from both its jaws as it bared its mouth open. As it hovered above the ship the creature's two yellow cat-like eyes gleamed at the two girls. Its demeanor looking much more dreadful than they both could ever imagine. From what they both could tell, this was definitely a dragon. But it was much more unique compared to the standard dragon that they were both used to.

Tulip struggled to get keep the ship from tipping over as the storm continued to rage. As she did, Amity looked up at the coming beast. Wondering if the beast was going to attack or not. It's constant hovering made the monster highly unpredictable. And it slightly bothered the witch to an extent. For a moment she continued to stare, locking eyes with the creature briefly. Anticipating a possible attack if the beast wished to.

Though before she could get her answer, the beast narrowed its eyes. Growling profusely at her as electricity started to built around its body. Amity merely had a few seconds to react before suddenly, a blue lightning beam came shooting out of the creature's mouth and headed straight for the two girls. In quick thinking, the purple haired magic user climbed up to the ship's upper deck and cast a shield spell to protect them from the coming attack.

"GET DOWN!" she shouted as she created the shield bubble.

Half a millisecond later, the beam struck the shield with tremendous speed. Causing a massive explosion to erupt from the shield's edges while shattering it completely with ease. While it kept the two teenage girls safe, it did cause Amity to stagger the moment the shield broke into tiny pieces. The magic user had to take a moment to regain herself before turning her gaze back to the sky. There she saw the beast let out a roar before diving down towards the ship.

In a attempt the throw the beast off balance, Amity swung the tip of her staff a few times before striking it up and shot two magic blasts at the direction of the creature. Yet to her surprise, the elusive reptile was persistent and dodged the two blasts before they could reach their target. And then returned with its own lightning blast. For which Amity rolled to her right to avoid the blast before returning fire with her own.

In anticipation of her attack phase the beast closed in on the ship's left side. Attempting to flank the witch and fire blasts from the side. Yet Amity retaliated with yet another shield spell before summoning her abomination with a single finger motion. From there her abomination towered over the monster, taking slimy balls from its body and flinging them towards the beast in an effort to ground the beast. But in spite of its offensive capabilities the dragon continued to be pretty slippery and began to weave through its attacks.

As it did the beast began to move towards the back of the ship. Circling around to gain more of a strategic advantage. The abomination attempted to pursue, but its sheer size made it difficult to move around the ship considering how tiny the deck was. Not to mention that it was being entrapped with all of the ropes that were currently attached to the mast of the ship. By the time it got to the back of the ship the creature stopped. Landing just over the haul of the ship yet neglected to strike at will. Seeing this as an opportunity, the abomination threw its hand back in order to slingshot yet another piece of itself.

However, by the time it could even throw its arm out, it got entangled with the ropes of the ship. Temporarily immobilizing the magic goo in the process while also proving the dragon to be much more intelligent than it anticipated. With the abomination exposed to further attacks, the creature uses this fleeting setback to its advantage and fires yet another blast at the abomination's face. Upon contact the blast hit the abomination so hard, the point came out from the back of its head.

After that, it redirected its blast downwards. Gleefully cleaving the abomination in two and splintering it into tiny bits of goo. The dragon then concluded with a light chuckle in amusement. Enraged by the certain demise of her abomination, Amity fired two more magic blasts and significantly catching the beast off guard. By then the blasts were able to throw the dragon off balance, causing it tumble off the haul of the ship, only to hover above the sea before it could hit the water before continuing its assault.

They continued to exchange blows for a while until the beast decided that it had enough with her games. With another roar in fury, the dragon began to make its way towards the top of the ship. Perching itself above the tip of the mast. From there, the metallic spikes that covered the dragon's body began to glow. Seconds later, small bolts of lightning began to channel from the clouds to the dragon itself. Making Tulip's hair stand on end just from watching it.

"Uh, Amity," Tulip said with concern. "What's it doing?"

The witch didn't answer just yet. Instead focusing her attention on the creature to read its next move. Which made Tulip much more unsettled with the witch's continued silence.

"Amity?" the perennial child called again.

Yet there was no response for a second time. This time Amity was much more concentrated than before. Observing as the creature drew more lightning at the top of the mast with each passing second. Causing Tulip to become much more concerned than before.

"AMITY!" she shouted.

And it was at that moment when the purple haired magic user finally realized the beasts game. And also comprehended that they only had a few seconds to react.

"We have to abandon ship," she finally said as she grabbed Tulip's hand and headed towards the lifeboats. "NOW!"

Though before she nor her game coding companion could do anything about it, it was too late. For the creature let out another screeching roar, before it unleashed a huge wave of electricity that traveled outwards in all directions, destroying everything around them. Every plank, every single piece of wood on the ship began to chip away. Causing many parts of the ship to explode. The blast radius of the electrical wave sent the two girls tumbling towards the ocean. Hitting the water with a huge splash before disappearing into the sea. By the time the attack was over, the beast looked bellow to see if its prey had survived.

Only to notice that there was nobody on the ship. It looked towards the water and saw nothing, probably expecting the two girls to be swallowed by the waves. The creature felt an urgency to pursue them, but restrained itself from doing so due to various reasons. Instead, it smiled gleefully before taking off into the thundering clouds. Disappearing into the morning mist in search for new prey.

Though unknown to the creature, the moment it was out of sight was the moment that Tulip and Amity resurfaced from the ocean. Gasping for air as they climbed onto the one remaining lifeboat that was fortunately not destroyed by the dragon's unexpected attack. Once on board they sat in a sudden, conspicuous silence. Clearly in shock as to what just happened. Not to mention that their only means to reach the island was now history. Leaving them stranded in the middle of the ocean with no way of getting anywhere.

"Well, " Tulip started off. "There goes that plan."

"What was that thing?" Amity began to question. "I've never seen anything like it."

"I don't know," the perennial girl answered. "But let's just hope that it doesn't come back."

"You and me both," Amity commented. "So the question is, now what?"

"Still don't know," Tulip acknowledge. Though seemingly looking as if she was about to crack. "But what I definitely know is that we're probably gonna die out here with nobody coming to our rescue because of some stupid flying lizard!"

She then groaned before pounding her fist against the wood of the boat. Clearly frustrated with the situation that they currently were in. Seeing the resentment that was currently upsetting Tulip's current mood. Amity urged to comfort her with a pat on the back. But briefly paused after seeing something from a distance. Something that would turn their current damnation to their apparent salvation.

"Or...maybe not," she stated.

"What do you talking about?" Tulip questioned. Clearly not buying Amity's optimism. "We're stuck in the middle of the ocean with no clear sign of..."

Amity interrupted her sentence by lightly grabbing her chin and moving it towards the direction to which she was currently looking at. Upon seeing it, Tulip gasped in utter shock as her gaze met with what turned out to be a large island. An island that matched the description of what they were looking for all this time. And in that moment, a glimmer of hope came upon Tulip. As did Amity. After three days of endless searching, they finally found it. The island of which was the apparent home of the legendary Nightstalker.

"...land," she finally finished before jumping up from her seat. "We made it!"

The two of them suddenly jumped for joy. Taking a moment to celebrate their findings before ultimately deciding to make their way towards it. They each took a paddle from inside the rowboat and started paddling towards the direction of the island.

"Finally," Tulip stated excitedly. "After all this time."

"Guess it was worth it after all," Amity added on. "What are we gonna do once we get there?"

"Well I'll tell you what I gonna do," Tulip replied. "First, I'm gonna-"

"LOOK OUT!" Amity screamed.

Before they knew it, a giant sea monster jumped out from the ocean before crashing down upon the boat that they were in. With everything going completely black afterwards.

Meanwhile...

It was a good time to be out in the beach for the dynamic duo known as Toothless and Marcy. And what better thing for the geeky teenager to do then to find seashells along the shoreline. It was one of the many things that she enjoyed doing whenever she was not too busy training or doing missions with her partner. And it was also the one thing that she never stopped doing since the day that she arrived in Amphibia.

Normally seashells would be found deep within the sands of the beach, but the Flipwart Champion instead turned to the bay area where towards the water. Which was rich with some of Amphibia's most rare seashells and conchs. At least to her own knowledge. She submerged her hands into the water, moving them around for a bit until finally catch something within her grasp. Upon feeling it, she brought them back up and found a really nice shell. One that sparkled in the daylight.

"What a find!" Marcy exclaimed with joy. "This is a definite keeper."

To the left of her in the background, Toothless came deeper into the cove with his head pointed down towards the water. After a second passed, the Night Fury dipped his head into the water. Briefly raising it up and crooned happily as he came back up with a large salmon within his jaws. He then turned his gaze to his human companion and smirked. Showcasing his catch with a tremendous delight. Marcy in return smiled at the King of dragons.

"Good catch boy," the girl commented before directing her attention back towards the water.

Afterwards the Night Fury tossed the fish up into the air and took it inside his mouth again. Swallowing it up with a single gulp before looking back into the water in anticipation for another catch. Like Marcy, this was one particular activity that Toothless enjoyed doing in his spare time. It reminded him of all the many times that he spent with his former rider Hiccup. And this was before becoming the alpha of all his kind and meeting his apparent destiny.

After a moment of watching her dragon friend enjoy himself, Marcy then turned back towards the water and continued her own search. This time heading deeper into the water to search for more. In the time that she did she reflected on everything that has happened within the last few months. That also includes the times before she meant Toothless. She looked at her own reflection within the water, and all of a sudden, Marcy started to experience flashes of her past.

All the times she had with her old friends Anne and Sasha. From Earth to hear, she started to experience all the happy times that she had with them. Dating back from the Battle of the Bands, when she reunited with Anne at the front gates of Newtopia. Such good times she had with them. But as the happy memories started to come back to her, it did not take her long before the bad ones started to kick in. And the geeky nerd began to recollect the day where everything went wrong.

Everything was going just fine until that dreadful day. The day when her true intentions were revealed to her friends. And it was those exact intentions that costed her everything. Her friends, her family, even her own life. And as she was reminded of her impending demise, tears began to stream down the girl's cheeks. A wave of emotions washed over her. Though in light of the psychological tension that she was experiencing, Marcy responded by clenching her eyes shut and turned back to the water. Attempting to flush out the bad memories by focusing on finding more shells.

But as she did, another similar topic crossed the Newtopian Ranger's mind. Something that more than likely made her more curious. With Sasha and Anne gone, she would be considered the only human left on Amphibia. Or that's what she presumed after watching Anne go through the portal and not coming across Sasha in her recent travels. Though as she thought about it more, she also began to realize that her companion Toothless was the only one of his kind that she ever came across.

Considering the fact that they also have not stumbled upon another dragon during their time together. And as she put the two together, it made her wonder if there were others just like them out in Amphibia. Or if were even possible for other humans and dragons to be teleported and stranded in this world just like them. It was a good possibility since King Andrias now has the Calamity Box. And knowing his cruelty, he probably would've traveled to Earth by now. With the frobot army at his back, he could make a preemptive strike on their home without even knowing about it.

But that was only a theory that Marcy just came up with at this moment. But as she gave it a clear thought, she dismissed the idea of Andrias going to Earth. Let alone dismissing the possibility of other humans coming to Amphibia. There was only one way to get to Amphibia. And one way only. Plus, there is no way that backstabbing tyrant would've used the box after what they did to him. No doubt he would've locked it up in his castle in order to keep anyone else from coming back. Meaning that they were the only ones left. And the only ones who would be brave enough to challenge King Andrias and his rule. At least through guerilla warfare and ambush tactics.

Yet as she continued to stare at her own reflection, Marcy soon began to notice that there was a shift in the water. The fish that were apparently submerged within the cove began to swim away. And she could hear Toothless growling from behind her. The girl continued to stare into the water, neglecting to turn back to her dragon and ask what the problem was. After a moment passed, Marcy squinted her eyes as she now started to see what would be considered something or someone heading right this way.

"Wait a minute," she muttered to herself.

Then half a heartbeat later, the resourceful chick was suddenly taken aback as an unknown figure burst out of the water. Gasping for air as the mysterious interloper emerged right in front of Marcy. Who leapt backwards out of complete shock. As the being began to reveal itself, Marcy was much more dumbfounded to see that it wasn't just anybody, but another human. And to add to her astonishment, Marcy suddenly noticed that this human was also a teenage girl like herself. With red hair and paled skin.

Whom automatically made a b-line for the beach as soon as she came out. Not taking a moment to notice the Night Fury that had his eyes on the girl the whole time. Seconds after that Marcy heard the sound of yet another human female emerging from the ocean. This time having purple hair and pointy ears. However, instead of following the other one, she stood at the water's edge with half of her body submerged. Sensing that she made be in need of assistance, Marcy made her way towards the girl that was still in the water. From a distance, the Flipwart Champion could tell that the girl was exhausted.

For the girl had her face glued to the water, breathing heavily as her posture seemed to be slumped. Halfway there, Marcy extended her hand out. Offering help to the assumed to be worn out teenager.

"Are you alright?" she asked. "Let me give you a hand."

The girl did not give an answer. Instead, she looked up and grabbed a hold of Marcy's shoulders. Urging her back to the shore with haste.

"Wait, you don't understand," she warned. "There's a-"

The girl was suddenly cut off when a huge water snake emerged from the water. Its fangs bared out as the beast let out an invigorated hiss. Marcy quickly pulled the girl to her right side, missing the snake's jaws by a few inches. By then the two rolled over, loosening Marcy's hold on the girl as the snake slithered right passed them. By the time they could recover the snake had it's eyes turned towards them. But not before turning towards the Night Fury, whom unleashed a challenging roar to get its attention. Marcy looked up and saw the snake immediately snapping at Toothless. Who then defended himself with a quick plasma blast to the face.

The distraction allowed the girl to turn towards the beach. Noticing that the other girl had probably gone through the woods by now before heading off to pursue her.

"Tulip," she called out. "Wait up!"

Marcy then watched as the girl made her way towards the beach. Still shocked with the fact that there were not only one, but two human girls just like her. Probably around the same age as her as well. By then so many questions entered her mind. Questions that she probably knew that she would not have the answer for. Who are they? How did they get here? Where did they come from? And so much more.

However, as she continued to ponder herself with more inquisitive thoughts, the girl was oblivious to the apparent conflict that was currently going on to her right. A conflict of which had Toothless locked in combat with the giant snake that had foolishly entered their turf. The Night Fury flapped his wings, intending to gain higher ground to avoid the snake's charge. Unfortunately for him though, the snake rammed the dragon from his underbelly and drove him into the water. Intending to drag the King of Dragons to the bottom of the ocean and drown him before he could be given a chance to strike.

Upon hearing this, Marcy turned her attention back to the issuing battle and dove into the water to save her friend. Once submerged, Marcy found Toothless tangling with the water snake underwater. Briefly holding its head back with his paws as the limbless reptile relentlessly snapped at him. After a few attempts, the snake finally managed to sink its fangs one of the Night Fury's talons before moving to the other side to gain better vantage. While it did not inflict any venom on the Alpha dragon, the snake's bite did leave a mark for him to remember.

Yet the black silhouette remained persistent and held the snake at bay. Snarling at the reptile as it continued gnashing its teeth. After a few more snaps, Toothless finally chose his moment to retaliate and leans his head back. Butting it so hard against the water snake's, that it temporarily dazed the creature. Thus halting further snapping. With the beast disoriented, Toothless kicks the water snake with all four of his limbs before swimming up to the surface.

Once he resurfaced, the Night Fury gasped for air and looked around to see if either the snake or Marcy reemerged. Only to find that the snake, who recovered from the surprisingly powerful blow turn up from beneath the waves and aroused and very angry. The beast then turned towards the Night Fury with murderous intent. Briefly charging at the Alpha dragon aspired to finish what it started. However, before that could be done, the beast was caught off guard when a small bomb hit the side of its head. When the beast looked around to see whom had thrown the explosive, it was oblivious to its impending fate as Marcy leapt from behind the beasts back and pierced the back of its head with both of her retractable swords.

The snake howled in pain as it felt the swords penetrated the back of its skull and come out from its throat. Before collapsing into the water with the human girl still atop the back of its head. The cove boiled in crimson red, and then was still. With the initial conflict coming to a close, the Night Fury waited to see if Marcy would reemerge. Only to find that she didn't. A moment later, the dragon heard the sound of someone emerging from within the shore. He turned his head to see Marcy heading straight into the jungle. Leaving the Night Fury to tilt his head in utter confusion.

Deep within the rainforest, Marcy weaved through the density of the jungle's trees as she intended to find these new humans. They couldn't have gone far. As she kept moving within the trees she could hear sounds coming from the path up ahead. The first being the found of which someone tripped. The next, was a brief panicking sound as if somebody had just stumbled upon something very scary. Finally, after coming out of the last off the underbrush, Marcy finally found her quarry. Coming to a skiing stop as she spotted the two girls in a small clearing. With the purple haired girl holding the red haired one's shoulders in order to calm her down.

Marcy was only given seconds to react as the red haired girl, from which she heard being called 'Tulip' caught a glimpse of her coming out of the underbrush. The moment she laid eyes on her, she panicked. Raising up to her feet and backing up with the intent to bolt. But Marcy instinctively threw her hands up before she could hightail in the opposite direction. Making herself as telegraphed and non-threatening as possible.

"Whoa! Hey there! It's okay," she said as she made a calming motion with her dominant hand. "It's okay. I'm a friend."

Tulip in response hesitated. Not knowing if she could take Marcy's word for it. The other girl however grabbed Tulip's hand to put her at ease.

"It's alright Tulip," she reassured. "She's here to help us. I think."

The Flipwart Champion dismissed the pointy girl's optimism and took it as a compliment.

"Are you guys hurt?" Marcy asked.

"We're fine," the purple haired girl answered. "Thanks."

The girl named Tulip did not give an reply. Breathing heavily as she was still shocked by the events that have just recently occurred. Which made it slightly harder for Marcy to convince her that she wants to help her. Knowing this, Marcy moved closer to the girl, dropping down to one knee and extending her hand out. Offering aid to the girl with high expediency.

"Hey, it's alright," Marcy reassured for the second time. "Let me help you."

In return, Tulip began to relent. The reassurance made her feel better about the apparent situation. In doing so she dropped her guard, now knowing that she was in good hands.

"Okay," she said with an exhale. "Okay."

However, as they began to settle, the moment was initially ruined as Toothless burst from the underbrush behind Marcy and let out a roar that startled Tulip before lunging between the two girls and Marcy. The dragon's unexpected appearance set Tulip in a panic. Causing her jump back in alarm before bolting in the opposite direction. The other girl responded by pulling out a long staff, but neglected to make any such drastic actions after realizing that her friend was getting away.

Initially resulting in her hightailing in the direction Tulip went in order to pursue her. Once the girls were out of sight, the dragon snarled. Satisfied with the outcome. But unfortunately for the Vanquisher of the Screaming Death, his human companion was not as pleased with the situation as he was.

"Really?" she bluntly questioned. Slightly annoyed with the dragon's actions. "Do you have to do that?"

Afterwards Marcy followed proceeded to head off into the forest to catch up to the girls. Placing Toothless in a bewilderment before following suit. To gain better ground, both human and dragon split up. With Marcy using her training and climbed up the nearest tree. Leaping from branch to branch in order to keep up with her new accomplices. As she traveled within the forest from above, Toothless pursued from ground level. Hoping to catch them on foot before they could escape.

From within the trees Marcy could see the two girls making their way across the rocks. With the purple haired girl repeatedly calling the other girl's name in order to get her attention. Yet fear and anxiety were the only things preventing Tulip from stopping as she rushed blindly into the wilderness. Climbing up a small ridge in an effort to lose her pursuers. In quick thinking, Marcy took a different route, taking a path west of the ridge in order to cut her off at the other side.

By the time she reached the other side, she could see Tulip climbing down the last rock with the intent to make a bolt for the woods. Yet before she could, Marcy jumped down from the trees and blocked the path ahead of her. Cutting off her escape route. In light of this, Tulip yelped in panic and started backing up until she was against the rock behind her.

"Please," she begged. "Don't run! I can help you."

In that moment, the girl shivered as she could hear a sinister growl coming from behind her. Her eyes turned to her right, and her gaze was unfortunate to come across the sights of the Night Fury. Who began to snarl viciously as he came into view. Creeping up from the right flank with his eyes glued to the scared girl. At the same time, the other girl had finally caught up to them and unsheathed her staff. Holding it defensively as she stood between the dragon and her friend.

For a moment, they were locked in what seemed to be a standoff. With the Night Fury baring his teeth as he continued to snarl. Crouching to the ground and digging his claws into the dirt as he waiting for the precise moment to pounce. The girls did not know what to do. Heck, they weren't even sure what was going on. But if they were to go down with a fight, the purple haired girl was definitely gonna go down with a bang. However, she would not be given that chance when Marcy intervened.

"Toothless, that's enough!' she ordered as she placed a hand upon his hand.

The eyes of the Night Fury then shifted from slit eye to round as he lifted his head up. Upon seeing his companion's command, the dragon relented. Dropping his stance and moving to the other side of his rider. Though he still kept his eyes locked onto the girl. Murmuring a quiet growl.

"Sorry about my friend," Marcy briefly apologized. "He doesn't take kindly to strangers. Especially if they're not considered 'a threat'. Right boy?"

Toothless huffed unapologetically in response. Sticking by his instincts even if it meant upsetting his friend. In spite of the Night Fury's rudeness, Marcy simply ignored him and focused back on the two weary girls.

"Are you guys hurt?" Marcy asked for a second time. "Any injuries?"

"No," the purple haired girl answered. "We're fine."

"Oh, good," Marcy exhaled. "I don't know what would've happened if I found two dead humans at my doorstep."

She chuckled while trying to display humor. Though it didn't seem to work when the girls looked at her bluntly. Seeing that it was a bad joke, Marcy attempted to make the situation better by changing the subject.

"Say, you guys seem a bit tired. Why don't you come by to our place? Give you time to rest."

The Night Fury growled in protest but was quickly shut down when Marcy shot a glare at him. Seeing that challenging her was pointless, the King of Dragons backed down. If there was one thing Toothless would ever regret doing in all his years of living, it would be to upset a female. Whether that female was a human or a dragon. He learned that the hard way after he challenged his wife when they first met.

"It doesn't have to be for long," Marcy continued. "We'll get anything you need. Supplies, provisions, everything. But it's your call. What do you say?"

The girls looked at each other for a moment. Pondering at the decision that laid before them. Though knowing that they had no other choice, since they're likely to be stranded on this island, they would ultimately make the right choice.

"After careful consideration," the purple haired girl accepted. "We would love that."

"Great!" Marcy exclaimed. Squealing in excitement. "You won't regret this. I promise."

In the background, Toothless rolled his eyes in annoyance to his friend's optimism. But did not have any intent to question her decision. By then she turned over to the Night Fury and waved a motion to him with her index finger. In response the Night Fury turned towards the direction of their home and started heading towards it. Getting an early started as Marcy helped Tulip off her feet.

"Thanks," Tulip said meekly. "For saving us back there."

"No problem," Marcy briefly acknowledged. "We should probably go now. Don't wanna be out here when it gets dark."

"Agreed," the purple haired girl said. But not before another thought crossed her mind. "Say, what's your name?"

The geeky teenager paused. Unsure about revealing her name, though decided in doing so since thinking about it would be pointless.

"I'm Marcy," she said. "Marcy Wu. And you two?"

"Amity," the purple haired girl said. "Amity Blight."

They then turned Tulip, who too hesitated before revealing her full name.

"Tulip Olsen," she confirmed.

"Glad to meet you Tulip," Marcy stated. "You too Amity."

By then the three girls made their way to their treehouse. Intending to rest and perhaps even catch up in Marcy's first initial encounter with humans outside of Amphibia.

One hour later...

There was a long sullen silence in the living room of Toothless and Marcy's tree house. Both Tulip and Amity sat at a coffee table in the middle of the living room after getting situated while Marcy prepared them a decent meal. This would normally be the Night Fury's task, but Marcy took it upon herself in doing it just so that she could make a good impression. As for the King of Dragons, he was slumped against the corner the living room, curled up like a kitten as he slept while Marcy worked.

Tulip took a moment to view her surroundings, and took a personal liking to the place. It was small cozy, only could fit a certain amount of people but surely was pretty nice. And to think that this would be the home of this so called "Nightwalker." Well they definitely lived up to their reputation. Or at least that's what she thought. Though the more she looked at Marcy, the more she began to question whether or not she was the hero that Amity had mentioned a few days ago.

Of course she trusted that Amity spoke the truth. But there was just this uncertainty that plagued her thoughts. Perhaps that was because of her lack of judgement. But then again, they'll see. Though before she could think anymore, there was a loud dinging sound. Followed by the sound of something being opened.

"Order up," Marcy claimed.

Her timing couldn't have been any better. In that very moment Tulip heard a distinct rumble. Mostly from someone's empty stomach. She turned over to Amity, who then insisted that it wasn't hers. By then Marcy came out of the kitchen with two steaming bowls in each of her two hands. The drifting smell of what was in the bowls slowly filled the room. Taking the two girls by surprise. And to their astonishment, neither girl was ashamed to admit that the smell was very intriguing. Almost to the point where Tulip could admit that it made her mouth a bit watery.

With a timely haste, Marcy came across the room before gracefully plopping the two bowls in front of her guests. Who curiously accepted them. Though to the geeky nerd's surprise, the enthusiasm was merely short term. Not that Marcy could blame them. For the contents of the bowl had ingredients that were completely unknown to them. Plus the smell was pretty strong to their liking. Though it mostly consisted of a yellowish-orange brothel, coupled with various vegetables like mushrooms and onions. Added with a couple noodles as well. Yet their curiosities did not leave them.

"Um, what is this supposed to be, exactly?" Tulip questioned while trying not to be rude.

"Yeah," Amity added. Though relented to avoid hurting Marcy's feelings. "If you don't mind us asking."

"It's okay," Marcy brushed off. Seeing as an okay thing to ask questions. "It's a special recipe that I learn from a friend of mine. It's really good. Trust me."

If Tulip could be really honest with herself, she was far from trusting a girl such as Marcy. Or anyone that But seeing how she was practically starving, she couldn't refuse. She stared down at the bowl in front of her. Hesitant on trying it out. Though to her hesitation, Amity did not waste any time on chowing down. After a moment of tasting the meal, the purple haired witch gave her opinion about it.

"This is amazing," she complimented.

"I know right," Marcy acknowledged. "And people always said that I was a terrible cook."

By then Tulip tried her luck at tasting it and had the exact same opinions as Amity. By then the three girls ate pleasantly, with Tulip eating the slowest to avoid catching a stomachache. Shortly after that the room was silent again save for the crinkle of flames at the fireplace Toothless had lit up upon entering the place and the tinkling of silverware against ceramic. Even that started to die down as Amity and Tulip finished their meals. Now would be a good time as any to continue the conversation, right? Or at least that was what Marcy was thinking.

"So..," she began. Pausing briefly before continuing. "What brings you guys here?"

Both girls didn't give her an answer right away. Now that they thought about it, they were so focused on not dying that they kinda forget to mention the reason they were there. That was until Amity recalled their mission, though she did not know how to say it. Finally after a minute or so of coming up with a proper answer, Amity finally spoke.

"Well for starters," she started. "We've both heard rumors of a person who's been putting up resistance against an evil tyrant. And also knows this world by the back of her hand."

"Well, the first one's more Toothless than me," Marcy complimented. "I'm more of the second."

"Yeah, and we just thought that maybe-"

As Amity continued to blunder aimlessly, the perennial child began to lose her patience and took control.

"Look," she finally snapped. "We've come a very long way and we honestly don't want to waste anymore time so I'll get straight to the point."

Amity glared at Tulip for interrupting her but yielded the urge to fire back.

"We're both stranded on this world and we need your help getting back home," Tulip continued.

In return Marcy was baffled from what they're requesting. Upon hearing this, the Night Fury's eyes shot wide awake. And he quietly made his way towards the three girls to listen. Even though she and Toothless were the heroes that everyone on this planet claimed them to be, what they are asking of her is pretty big. Not only that, but it was also impossible from her standards. Though it seemed very appetizing to the dragon's.

"Sure, but-"

"Wait, there's more," Tulip interrupted. "That was only one of the reasons why we're here. The second has to deal with this."

By then Tulip opened up her backpack and pulled out the artifact that she kept for four days straight. Right after being shown it, Marcy took the artifact in her hand and closely examined it. Only to lightly gasp when she realized exactly what it was.

"Where did you get this?" she asked Tulip.

"I found it in a tomb the first time I warped here," Tulip responded. "I thought that you would know what it is."

"Well luckily I do," Marcy admitted. Holding the object front and center for them all to see. "This is a holocron. A very ancient artifact that holds very valuable secrets."

"What kind of secrets?" Amity questioned.

"I don't know," Marcy replied. "But if I were to take a guess. It would be a map to the Golden Temple."

The two girls shivered at the very name that Marcy described. Despite having no knowledge of what exactly she was implying to. Not that it worried the Flipwart Champion. She always had a thing with sharing her knowledge with others.

"It's a hidden relic," Marcy explained. "One of the four temples buried in Amphibia. And it's the only one I haven't discovered. Me and Toothless have been searching for it for some time. But we haven't found anything that could lead us to it."

"Well, do you know what's in it?" Tulip asked. "Or what makes it so special?"

"Not much," Marcy replied. "But legend has it, that whoever enters the temple and gets passed its dangerous booby traps, will find themselves before a massive treasure horde. With ancient trinkets and artifacts containing raw and ultimate power. Maybe even a key to save the world. That is if anyone could find it. Let alone acquire the knowledge of its exact location."

"But you can?" Amity questioned. "Well, with this thing at least."

"Not really," she admitted again. "If I'm right, this holocron could lead us to it. But the only problem is that it can only be opened by a dark magic user. And unfortunately for us, dark magic users in Amphibia are super rare these days."

She then let out a sign in defeat knowing this simple fact. The girls in return also dropped their heads, knowing that there may not be a chance that tBut before she could lose hope in the situation, something familiar crossed her mind. Or rather, someone familiar. And if she was correct, it could be the answer to all of this.

"However, I may know someone who still works with the dark arts," she then said. "If she's still alive, maybe she can find a way to open this."

The two girls smiled in response to this. Maybe there was a little hope in all of this.

"So does that mean you'll help us?" Tulip said excitedly.

The moment she heard the question Marcy paused. Being caught in a dilemma before she could give them an answer. There was still much to take into consideration from what she could understand. For it was not going to be a simple task if she were to accept. Everything they've worked so hard to build would be compromised if they showed their hands. And plus, they were still being hunted by King Andrias's robots. What would happen if they went around flying all across Amphibia with his killer minions patrolling the planet. Not to mention the price that was on their heads.

Every paid bounty hunter whether they were frog, toad, or newt would be after them. And what will happen if they were to be discovered by these killers for hire? How many lives will be put at risk just to draw them out? Though before she thought about the risks any further, she heard Toothless appear from her right side. Feeling him nudge his face against her hip, which caused her to turn her head towards him.

Then the Night Fury let out a small moan before pushing his head up under Marcy's arm a second time, looking up at her with quizzical eyes that seemed to question what Marcy's decision would be next. Marcy then looked down at her dragon companion with a sigh, knowing what he was asking of her. And in that moment Marcy began to think about the good that it could cause if they accept this. The good that they could inflict if they were to find the temple.

Not to mention that they really didn't have anything better to do. With their most recent missions, they were able to bring King Andrias to a stalemate. Splintering small sections of his army while keeping his forces from invading Earth. And besides, if they actually did find the Golden Temple, then maybe they wouldn't have to keep hiding anymore. Maybe they could use the power within the temple and take the fight to King Andrias once and for all. It was definitely worth the risk.

Yet it was also a very difficult decision. For whatever she chooses, there will be consequences. Though the real question, was which choice was the wisest. Though after giving it much thought, she finally made up her mind.

"Well-," she began.

Though before she could give her answer, Marcy was cut off by a swirling sound that rang in the air. Causing Toothless to jump backwards like a startled cat and brought him to high alert in the process. All three of the girls jumped from their seats as well, startled by the sudden noise. Then as sudden as a thunderbolt, a green light appeared out of nowhere. Coming from the direction that seemed to be outside of the front door.

It lasted for a mere seconds before suddenly cutting off. Leaving the three girls plus the dragon utterly confused.

"What was that?" Amity asked.

"I don't know," Tulip answered. "But whatever it is, it can't be good."

Shortly after that, Tulips words turned out to be true. For seconds after the swirling stopped, the three girls were baffled when they heard a loud banging sound come from the other side of the front door. Which was in the form of knocking. The banging was then followed by what seemed to be a male voice.

"Come on out!" the voice yelled. "I know you're in there! Tell me what I want and no one gets hurt!"

Upon hearing the voice, the two girls looked to Marcy, who then looked to Toothless as he growled at the door. And had become clear to Marcy that they now have a serious situation. One that she wished had never happened. They have been discovered!
