I awoke with the dawn, blinking my eyes as I sat up and worked out a kink from my neck. I had slept rough considering my so-called pillow had migrated north of my head and I ended up using my arm as a makeshift pillow. As the sun rose higher in the sky turning what was left of the night into a dusky pink I gathered the gear I had been given into a neat pile. I had a sword and a staff that expanded when I flung it outward. All of my weapons held a slight lavender glow to them which weirded me out just a tad. I pulled on my socks and slipped on my boots before slinging the neatly empty pack over my shoulder and attached my sword behind it for easy access. My hair was knotted beyond belief having come undone from its tie last night. I bit my lip and drew my sword from its sheath with one hand and grabbed my tangled hair with the other. I placed the sword against the nape of my neck, the sharp blade facing away from me. I close my eyes and cut away my long locks. I tossed the mass aside and went to look at one of the dirty cracked windows to see my reflection. My hair now rested half way between my shoulders and my chin and it looked ok to me considering the hack job I had just done. I shook my head and turned away and headed out of the temple. In the light of day I could see things that I had missed in the pitch black of night. Rusted guardians sat to the left of the doorway, the game didn't quite do them justice. In person they were massive pieces of metal, Incredibly detailed and they stood as a silent reminder of all that had transpired. From the view I had I could clearly see Hyrule castle, It was clear that since Ganon had been defeated the people hadn't touched it seeing as their leader was gone. I wondered if some miracle that link had stayed around the castle to look for clues or something like that. Ahead of me I saw the great plateau tower in all its glory. Even after the 50 years hylia had said had passed it still glowed a brilight blue and not far from it was a shrine. I took out my sheikah slate and checked the name. The Oman Au Shrine glowed the same blue as the tower letting me know that it was indeed still active and I was able to use it. I walked past the shrine and over to the edge of the wall and looked down, holy crap it was a long way down and i didnt think I could climb down that far without breaking my neck. I sighed and turned back to face the tower. Not too far away I could see the top of a chest that was hidden among the bushes, I approached it and pushed away the grass and dried leaves and vines. I opened it and inside was what could only be a paraglider frame. I smirked and pulled it free from the chest. All i had to do was attach a sail cloth to it and secure it in place then hylia willing i could make it down to the ground without injury. I set to work looking for the kind of cloth that would work for my project at hand. It took me presuses time to find an old greenish cloth that was big enough to work for then sail cloth. I had managed to cut it using my sword and had found a needle and thread within the med kid that was included in the pack Hylia had gifted me. As soon as it was done I went to a small tree and began to climb it, I figured that testing it from a small height first would be ideal. My heart pounded and my hands were cold and shaking, i didn't like heights at the best of times, testing my life in the framework of an old paraglider frame and my shotty seamstress work honestly scared me shitless. I chickened out on the first three jumps but then a huge gust of wind caught the open glider in my hands and jerked me upwards. I let out a loud shriek and clenched my eyes closed fearing that at any moment I would go crashing to the earth below me but it didn't come. In fact I was floating softly downward before touching down and then falling in a heap, graceful I was not. I groaned and took a look at the glider and it glowed a soft purple and the goddess crest was emblazoned on the sail itself. I knew it was Hylia's way of telling me that she had in fact saved my ass once again, so I sighed and looked at the sky.

"Thanks hylia I owe ya again" I said to the sky before walking back to the edge of the wall.

If i didn't get in gear and head out now i had a feeling that hylia herself would push my sorry but over the edge. I swallowed hard as I finally touched down on the grassy field below the wall and waited a beat before putting away gear and starting to head out. My plan right now was to stock up and gather the things I would need to make the journey to search for a link.

I adjusted my pack and picked a direction, I had chosen to stick to the crumbling path that ran parallel to the wall of the great plateau. The air was slightly warm when I stood in the sun but I knew it wouldn't last. I took a chance and ventured to my right in my search for supplies.I struck gold when I found a few dozen hylian shrooms. I ate a few before tucking the rest away in my pack. I also found a small clear pond. I filled my canteen and drank from it before refilling it and tying it back to the pack. I heard movement behind me and then pain exploded from my thigh.

"Fuck." I yelled and turned to see a bokoblin standing there with a bow getting really to reload. I took my spear, flung it open and launched it right into the dn things chest. It hit dead center and it exploded into black dust leaving behind a fang and two horns. I stepped forward and my legs throbbed. I looked down at the arrow sticking out of my leg. It wasn't very deep but it had hit at an angle. I pulled a small stick off the ground and stuck it in my mouth. I breathed slowly as I reached down and took a hold of the thin shaft of the arrow and yanked it free. Blood started to pour out of the fresh wound.i dug my med kit out of the pack and wrapped a cloth bandaged around my wound pant led and all. I slid the bloodied arrow into the quiver with the rest and picked up the horns and fang. I slid them into the hip pouch with the others I had collected the night before. I made my way back to the trail and continued to follow it. Morning turned to afternoon as I walked occasionally stopping to see when I was on the map. Up ahead I could see that it was a stable, Zooming in I saw that it was called the outskirt stable. I set a marker on it and started toward it. I stopped a few times to rest and to gather more mushrooms along the way. I gathered a few iron shrooms and more of the hylian shrooms as well. I had used the cloth I had made the sail from to fashion a type of bag that I could hang from the outside of my pack so that the food wouldn't get squished or flattened all together. I had also managed to find a apple tree a little ways off the trail but my leg was currently letting me know that it was pissed at me, not only for the arrow incident but for all the walking also. Though I hadn't done much other than travel today I felt as though someone had beaten me with a stick and thrown me off a cliff. The sky was now starting to fade with the incoming dusk and i hiked my pack up on my shoulders a bit more and broke into a light job, Or at least i tried to job the pain that hsot up my leg with every step made me look more like a retarded chicken. I got lost at the fork in the road and had to backtrack twice. I arrived after dark and stepped inside the stable, Warmth hit me first then the smell of cooking meat. My stomach took notice and I approached the man behind a waist high counter.

"Excuse me." I said and he looked up at me.

"Yes?" He asked curiosity.

"Im looking for a place to bed down for the night. Are there any beds available?" I asked.

" Yes, our regular beds are 20 rupees and the soft bed is 40." I nodded and sighed.

"Is there someplace I can sell goods?" I asked, looking around.

He simply pointed at a man sitting in the corner with a huge pack. I thanked him and started for the traveling merchant.

I learned the man's name was beedle and I ended up selling him the five bokoblin fangs I had as well as the three horns I had. I ended up with 49 rupees. Enough for a bed with a bit extra to maybe buy a meal. I returned to the clerk and secured a bed for the night. The bed was somewhere between a twin and a queen, there were hooks above the headboard for clothes or a pack. I slid the heavy pack from my shoulders and set it on the bed. Pulling out the mushrooms I had picked earlier that day and my half empty water canteen I then hung it from the hook and walked out into the twilight. I spotted a cooking pot with a few other travelers.

"Can I contribute?" I asked, holding up the bag of mushrooms.

The group all smiled at me and invited me to not only share food but to sit with them as they told stories of old Hyrule and of their adventures. I asked if any of them had a journal of some kind that I could buy from them. One of the older men pulled out a leather bound book and handed it over. I gave him the 9 leftover rupees,he tried to protest but I held up a hand.

"I'm determined to not take handouts my friend. I want to give you something for your efforts." I said and he nodded and grinned, pocketing the money.

One of them pulled out bowls made of wood and spoons that looked hand hot stew was just what I needed to help sooth my tired body and soul. I managed to get a small pot of ink and a feather quill from the clerk.I sat on the edge of my bed and pulled off my boots and socks.I slid both under the bed and sat against the headboard to record the day's events. I wrote for a good while before my eyelids got heavy. I closed my journal and put the quill in the small pocket on the front. I closed the ink pot and put it all away in my pack. I pulled the curtains around my bed closed and got under the covers. My bow and quiver hung off another hook above me but I slept with the sword next to me just in case.
