(*Eevee asks her parents this story during year 4. The story of how the met and fell in love.*Enjoy this special!)

"Mom? Dad? How did you guys fall in love again?"

Mom stopped cutting the rose stems and looked at dad who was already smiling at her. He held her paw from across the kitchen table and she looked away shyly her cheeks already blushing. These two were honestly so romantic sometimes.

"Eevee you heard the story a dozen times already. Don't you get tired of it?"

"No it's such a cute story in spite of some hidden aspects. I find it intriguing."

"That or you just want advice for you and that boyfriend Sylveon of yours."

"No...Me and Sylveon are doing just fine. Now please mom tell me the story. Or I'm going to start asking dad."

"Alright fine."

She said laughing as she teasingly messed with my hair.

"Well we first met in college. 17 years ago."

"Your father Leafy was studying agriculture, and I was studying business and botany. I was heading back to my dorm when a male pokemon shouted for me to stop. He shouted,'Miss! Miss! Wait!'

I turned to see he was holding my favorite pen and he wanted to return it to me. I stiffly thanked him and continued to my dorm to go study.

"Cold mom."

"I was different back then. And also that eccounter was so random I didn't know what else to do. Well anyways.."

We had more random encounters after that. We bumped into each other in the hall, the library, at a nearby cafe, even outside campus. It was like one big coincidence.

"You sure you weren't following mom, dad? All those times bumping into each other is very convenient for you."

"I swear I wasn't. I was actually trying to avoid her since it didn't look like she wanted to talk at all. The more I tried the more it kept happening. We both kept ended up bumping in the same places. One day I helped her carry some of her books to her dorm and we got to talk. It might have been a bit weird but I wanted to get to know her better so I asked her out. And your mom said no."

"What?! Why did she say no?"

"I wasn't interested in dating. I wanted to do well in my studies. And well if you remember how I grew up it also affected why I rejected him."

"Oh okay. So what happened afterwards?"

Leafy kept asking me out and I kept telling him no. Eventually he gave up and I didn't see much of him after that. I didn't really trust anyone back then. And then one day I went to my favorite flower field to sing to the flowers like I always do. When I looked over the lake and I spotted a garden beside a cute little cabin next to the woods I haven't seen before. Feeling curious I went over to check it out.

I stepped into the garden and saw rows of healthy berries. The sign read 'Feon Berry Garden.'

I saw your dad tending to the plants and talking to them. I sang to flowers ever since I was little and practically every pokemon thought I was silly for doing that. So seeing your father talking to the plants left me surprised that someone also loves gardening and socializing with plants as much as I did.

I went over to him to ask him about the garden. He was surprised to see me there but he answered all my questions with a smile. Soon we were talking all day. I asked if I could keep visiting and maybe help him with the garden and he didn't mind at all.

"I see what you were doing dad..."

My parents blushed before mom continued the story.

I visited Leafy often and helped him with the garden like I promised. I soon learned this was his family garden. His parents were out until the fall so he was tending to the garden by himself. We soon became fast friends and I was starting to like him.

I saw my dad smile and he kissed my mom's cheek which made her smile wide before going on with the story.

I wanted to be with him after spending time with him for the past month or so but I was afraid he would reject me if he knew about my past. Which was the reason I was afraid to love in case I got hurt again.

So one day I sat down with him to talk. And he eagerly listened.

*August 10th, 2535

"I have something important to say. Will you please listen?"

"Of course. What is it?"

I got nervous because I hadn't told anyone yet. I nearly didn't because I was afraid of what he would say. But after seeing his eager face I took a deep breath and told him.

"I like you, Leafy."

"I like you too."

I got sad when he didn't say a name. He knew I didn't have a name but he didn't know why I don't have one.

"I told you before I don't have a name right?"

"Yes you did."

"And I didn't say why before but now I feel you deserve to know. Just listen to what I'm about to say until I finish."

"Alright."

"The reason I don't have a name is because I- I'm an orphan."

I turned to him to see his reaction and he was shocked. It made me nervous but I kept on talking.

"I grew up in an orphanage. I spent my whole life never getting adopted. I finally left it just a couple of months ago when I turned 18. And while I was there I never got a name. They called me over with just phrases and I understood but it hurt that I was the only kid that didn't get a name just because I never got adopted. I grew up without much love and I grew to not trust anyone. That's why all those times you asked me out I rejected you because I was afraid of being left alone again. After being alone all my life how can I care for someone else?"

She looked at dad who sat there beside her speechless.

"Did I just scare you away?"

"No! You didn't! I- Ahem! No you never can even after that."

"Even after knowing all that you still want to be with me?"

"Leaf."

I froze as he addressed me with Leaf. Did he just call me by a name?

Your dad stood up and held my paw looking right in my eyes.

"You went through enough already. You telling me about your past makes me so happy. I want to be with you. I know it will be hard for you to trust, but you trust me so shouldn't that be enough?"

"Are you serious Leafy?"

"Yes. I will accept you for all that you are. Past and present. It is who you are Leaf."

I started crying because I was so touched. Your dad smiled at me and wiped the tears out of my eyes.

"From now on my name is Leaf."

"A-Are you sure? It was just a nickname. I don't even know if you want to be called that."

"I do. And you know why?"

"Why?"

"Because there's no other name I'd rather have."

"Aww Leaf."

"And Leafy?"

"Yes Leaf?"

"Will you go out for coffee with me?"

Your dad said yes and after a few dates we were in a relationship.
