Interrogation

I lay on the bed facing the ceiling. Fun fact, most of my brilliant ideas had come to me while I lay in bed in a similar position.
I heard the lock of the dungeon door creak and in walked Hope Mikaelson. "I really hope those pancakes are for me or else I might get cranky," I said, gesturing to the plate she was carrying.
"Well, it is. Although it's not my idea," she said and slid the plate to me from under the door.
I took a bite of the pancakes and choked on my food. "Are you trying to poison me? Because you don't need poison to kill me. The pancakes do the job perfectly," I spit out the food back onto the plate and slid it back to Hope.
"Oops, I am sorry," she didn't sound sorry.
"Seriously, who made this anyway? I want to hire them to kill someone," I replied and turned away from the tribrid.
"So why don't you tell me why you want to kill the gods and we can go our ways," Hope said to me, taking a chair.
"I think the more appropriate question is how I killed a god. I'll show you mine if you tell me how I got into this cell because the last thing I remember is collapsing," I replied turning back to her.
"When you collapsed, your friend told us you needed immediate medical attention. The school was the nearest place but I didn't want you free to roam the school…."
"That's why this cell?"
"Yeah, it was a compromise."
"Where's Dawar?"
"In the cell next door. He is still knocked from when I snapped his neck. What's so funny?" She said watching me snicker.
"Nothing, it's just cute that you think you can subdue us so easily. Okay, I am not unreasonable. How about this, you tell your headmaster that you are letting us out and I won't make a mess while getting out," I said, trying hard to control my laughter.
"No. You're not the one in a position of strength here. It's me. You get out when I say you get out," she replied sharply.
"Well then don't tell me I didn't give you a fair warning," I closed my eyes and seconds later I heard a huge noise, like one would hear if a wall crumbled. I opened one of my eyes and saw that the grills keeping me in had been blown apart and Hope was knocked out on the floor among the wreckage. I looked to my right to see Dawar sitting up, alert and in shock at the fact that the wall separating us had broken.
"Well? Are we getting out or not?" I asked him, raising my eyebrow.

Getting out

Dawar and I sprinted out of the dungeon and ran into a bunch of students who looked like they were in the third grade. As though we had thought this thing through, Dawar and I stopped and acted as normal as we could. We then headed in the opposite direction of where the kids were heading hoping like hell that the exit was that way. We turned a corner and I ran into the blond girl who had tried to stop me. For a split second, all three of us looked at each other and before the girl could figure out what to say, I vamped her to an empty classroom. Once inside, Dawar closed the door.
"Shh, shh. I won't hurt you," I told the girl. Her eyes frantically looked around the room, shifting from me to Dawar and back.
"It's okay," I said in the most soothing voice I could muster. "The sword that I had with me, do you know where it is?" She shook her head but something about her seemed
unconvincing to me.
I looked her in her eyes. "Where is the sword?" I asked her, I felt my retinas shrink and expand. Seconds later the girl started to gesture me to let her speak.
"It's in my father's office," She said looking shocked.
"Can you lead us there?" I asked her, again, compelling her.
"Yes."
"Will you do it without calling out for help? Also I should tell you that if anyone finds out that I have compelled you and that I am escaping I will have to kill them," I said it like I was telling her the consequences of not doing her homework.
"Yes," She whimpered. I let go of her and we walked out of the classroom. She led us to the other end of the building where a wooden door had a nameplate that read Alaric Saltzmann, PHD, Headmaster.
"A history PHD, huh? I wish I could say I was impressed," I told Dawar.
"That's my father you are speaking of," the girl said, indignantly. I was starting to like her. Well, like her enough to not kill her on first sight.
"I don't care if he was your dead grandfather. Make sure the office is empty and fetch me the sword," I told her before turning Dawar and myself invisible.
The girl knocked on the door.
"Come in," A voice said. She opened the door and stepped in. "Lizzie, is everything okay?" The voice continued.
"Hi daddy. The prisoners escaped. They need you down in the dungeons," Lizzie said.
Immediately the headmaster, Alaric, got out of his office and ran towards the direction we had just come from. Dawar and I stepped into the office and I dropped the spell.
"Nicely done," I said, smiling. Lizzie on the other hand vanished behind the desk and reappeared with the sword in her hands. I took it from her and thanked her for it. "Look kid, you have done a fantastic job," I said again I compelled her, "Now, you will forget everything that happened. All you will remember is that you walked into the dungeon, saw the wreckage and Hope and vamped here to tell your father. You will remember waiting in this office and I stormed in, snapped your neck."
Immediately, I snapped her neck and Dawar and I snuck out the window and vamped beyond the gates of the compound.
